What readers are saying: Debra always delivers... Couldn't put it down! Debra gives readers what they want. I've read every book Debra Clopton has written and as usual I couldn't put this one down!
A cute small-town romance. If you love formula romance, you’ll probably really enjoy this one, but while I enjoyed the small-town vibes, the romance was way too fast and the MCs completely forgot there was life outside each other (someone leaves their ranch in your hands while overseas, you don’t just pick up and leave without notice). Also little things like the cover being completely wrong (no dress, no wildflower field, wrong breed dog) and calling a female horse a colt bugged me. I definitely got some laughs out of the punkin chunkin contest, though.
This was a sweet, well-written contemporary romance. Tacy Jones has come to town to learn to train horses from champion horse trainer Brent Stockwell, who has moved to Mule Hollow for privacy and time to heal from a recent personal tragedy. Brent does not intend to take the chance of Tacy being injured. Sparks are flying between these two, though, and they find each other pretty hard to resist. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is part of the Texas Matchmakers series, set in Mule Hollow, TX, with related characters. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books in this series as well as others by this author.
Ride With Me, Cowboy by Debra Clopton Texas Matchmakers Series Book Twelve Brent Stockwell was raised to be a man of integrity. A God fearing man. Only...fame and fortune had him straying off from that course. And that straying led to some life-changing consequences. And guilt. He'd come out of hiding to help train some horses for a friend in Mule Hollow, Texas. He didn't expect to find an untamable woman there.
Tacy Jones was at Pace Gentry's ranch to learn how to break horses. Unfortunately, Pace and Sheri had to go to Australia on an extended leave. She was still excited about the colts coming in and her dream to help break them. Until Brent showed up and refused to allow her to help.
Fireworks between a couple is just what lights up the Matchmaking Posse. And there were definitely fireworks going off between Brent and Tacy. Where most people would see two unsuitable people and turn the other way...these women ran forward with glee. Another great story in this series. http://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com/...
Tacy has goals and she's determined to achieve those goals. The only problem is that a certain cowboy is trying to block her from them. Another even bigger problem is that she's attracted to this cowboy!
Brent just wants to lay low and do his job. But when a feisty cowgirl wants him to teach her how to break a horse, his past comes rushing back at him. There's no way he can allow it. Not on his watch! The only problem is that he needs help with the horses.
What follows is a fun story of two people being right where they need to be. Brent is struggling with his past and Tacy just wants to help him, but not at the expense of her goals. I encourage you to read how they solve their problem.
Romance - PG / kissing Language - PG / clean My rating - 5 stars
Love the people of Mule Hollow, they are so much fun to read about. It had been a while since I read the last story and it was like visiting old friends.
Tacy is one smart and strong woman. She knows what she wants out of life and is determined to get it. When she falls for someone who will stand in her way, she doesn’t know what to do. Will she find a way around it or will she just leave? You will have to read to find out.
Brent is one broken man who has tried to change his life but cannot let go of the guilt. He never wanted to be in the position he finds himself in now. Can a broken man actually come to a place where he is no longer broken? Again, you will have to read to find out.
I just finished this novel in 3 days. It was so well written. I was swept away to Mule Hollow and into the characters Tacy and Brent. The tile led me to think about a wedding. But it pleasantly surprised me and went in another direction. Tacy wants to break wild horses( train them) and she's determined to. Applegate and Norma Sue are interesting characters and they all come to live on the pages. I loved it and ordering more Mule Hollow books, but I want to find out what happend to Tacy and Brent in Her Forever Cowboy.
Ride With Me, Cowboy is the twelfth book in the Texas Matchmakers series. This book was previously published as His Cowgirl Bride. The Wives Wanted Campaign is still going strong in Mule Hollow. While Brent has gone to Mule Hollow to hide out after a tragedy. When Tacy goes to Mule Hollow to train horses, she finds herself conflicted about Brent. The sparks fly between them, but can they each find what they need? I really enjoyed this story.
Another great book in the Texas Matchmakers series. Tacy moves to Mule Hollow to learn how to train horses with Pace. Only hitch is that Pace and Sheri needed to leave town for an extended period of time and so Pace asked Brent to come and train the horses that have just been delivered. And, for some reason, Brent is not willing to teach Tacy how to train the horses. Loved how this story developed and that Brent was finally able to forgive himself.
The thing I like about Debra Cloptons books is that they are clean romance. They are always so good and you will find yourself just turning the pages and not wanting to stop till the book is done. Debra hit the ball out to the outfield for a triple!
Tired of her Dad and brothers not letting her learn to break horses, Tacy leaves and takes job at another ranch planning on learning from the owner. She encountered a rodeo cowboy instead and the sparks fly.
This is an amazing and enjoyable romance with adorably sassy sweet and charming characters that will steal your heart and have you enjoying their journey towards unconditional love as well as their happily ever after moment.
she is supposed to be watching her friends ranch when they are out of town a famous cowboy shows up and starts telling her what to do. neither one of them expected the other there
a trailer of colts needing to be broken arrived he wont let her break them cause he let his sister and she broke her neck. but shes ok now the dog is pregnant
the dog has 6 babies
she rides the colt without him letting her and hes impressed and is going to ask her dad if he can marry her

Two stubborn cowboys in this book made it an interesting read. It was intriguing watching their story unfold. Plus the people in town were all rooting for them to finally get why God brought them together. A very worthy read.
A great example of going or following your dream without compromising because of someone else's fears. The Mule Hollow crowd is at it once more and all is well.
Tacy moved to a small town to learn to break wild horses. She hopes that her friend Pace will teach her, but he gets called away on an emergency. Brent Stockwell shows up to take Pace's place breaking the horses. He refuses to teach Tacy and will not let her get on any unbroken horse. She tries her hardest to proof to him that she is capable and ready to learn from him.
He tries his hardest to resist her, but he slowly breaks down and finds it very hard to resist her.
I'm biased to this book, as it contains three things I really like. Blue heelers, cowboys and horses. This book is recommended to anybody interested is a great story and knows anything about the training of horses.
The Love Inspired novel was superb. i loved feisty Tacy and how she deals with disappointments. i enjoyed the addition of the competition between the older set of characters and how it involved the main characters. The addition of a dog in the story always increases the enjoyment for me. Thanks to Debra for sending me this copy to review. i was not required to give a positive review, and the opinions in this are my own.
Read this years ago. Love Mule Hollow and its citizens. Thought that the pumpkin launching contest was funny. Am waiting for Love Inspired to reprint this, or I may have to cave in a buy a digital copy if I can't find it in the used bookstores.
I keep thinking I've found my favorite couple and then I read the next book and realize that I'm now finding my favorite couple. Brent and Tracy are awesome. The Sparks fly and the characters really become real. Loved the book.
