About the author

Stephen Lovely was born in Dallas, Texas and spent most of his childhood in Ohio. He attended Kenyon College, where he majored in English, and the Iowa Writers' Workshop, where he studied with Deborah Eisenberg, Margot Livesey, Ethan Canin, and Frank Conroy. His first novel, Irreplaceable, was published by Hyperion/Voice in 2009 and translated into German, Dutch, and Chinese. Irreplaceable received the Dana Award for the Novel and a James Michener-Copernicus Society of America Award. Since 2005 Stephen has been the director of the Iowa Young Writers' Studio, a summer, residential creative writing program for high school students at The University of Iowa. He currently lives in Iowa City with his wife and several dogs and cats. He is working on a second novel.

Easy as pie if you have this booklet

Most apps come with no significant documentation, and I don’t have the patience to try to set things up by trial and error. This resource makes things simple and you will be on good terms with Alexa quickly. And she will make your life simpler. Just about anything you do online can be handed off to the little sister who lives in Dot.

This guide does not try to dazzle you with techy gobbledygook but let's you get hold of the basics in easy to understand language. Just follow the chapters and everything will fall into place.

This user guide for the Amazon Echo Dot is a perfect for the beginner just out of the box Echo user. Its very concise and gives detailed information. Explaining what each and every button is for. Whats the easiest way to make the Echo Dot function as you need it. C.J. Anderson does an excellent job walking you through everything. He explains how to work through connection issues, pairing, set up of your household accounts. Explaining the different types of setup via Bluetooth of a stand along speaker or as part of your home theater system. He teaches the best ways to work with the Alexa App. As well as the ability to link the Echo Dot to Amazon Fire TV or Dish TV. This is a definite guide needed to all those new to Echo Dot or those not computer savvy people. It is well written and easy to follow. Well done and worthy of 5 stars.

Somewhat informative

This is a good beginner's guide for someone just starting with thee Dot, or someone who is technologically hesitant. I'd have liked to see more tips in regards to IFTTT, but I understand the author wanting too avoid going down that rabbit hole.

I didn't feel like I learned very much at all in fact I made no notes for future reference.

To be fair this is the first book in the Dot I've read.

This book makes it seem easy. A comprehensive guide. Very informative and lots of fun. I'm less afraid of my Echo now.
