descriptionSo ok, this cover is technically very well put together. Great composition. Interesting and eye catching title work. BUT...the hero of this book is BALD. He keeps his head shaved so as fabulous as all the technical details may be it is an awful representation of the hero himself. I guess most people won't care one way or the other, but I am OCD about the covers to my books at least somewhat representing the story or characters found within.description

descriptionI am seriously digging this series! Book two in THE WILD BUNCH series brings us Răzvan and Winter's story. We get a little peek at these two in book one, and I was dying to get my hands on their book and get a more in depth look at them.

I was not disappointed. Again it was a very well written book. This author has such an effortless feel to her writing. It sucks you into the action from page one and doesn't let up until the end. Part of the events in this book overlap with book one, so there were a few places where it felt repetitive, but nothing too distracting. There is action. There is violence. There are some hot sex scenes. There is no OW drama. A TINY bit of OM drama. A fabulous cast of secondary characters. I SO very much want a book featuring Syn now...please? Pretty please?

description

Both main characters were extremely likable. Winter was sassy, and sweet and strong. Tăcut was also extremely likable. The strong silent type. These two just worked very well together, and their relationship was fairly drama free.

So ya, not much left to say. Read it. Enjoyed it. Can't wait for book three which is going to be an MFM with Vali and Nicu. Lord knows I LOVE a good menage, so I am very #excitedpartyofone for that book. Two HUGE thumbs up from yours truly.description

Genre: Romance
POVs: Dual, 1st person

Tăcut's quiet intensity merged very well with Winter's quirky but playful personality in this story. At the same time, the author excelled at writing about a nonverbal character to the point where I almost forgot that he couldn't speak!

I loved the way the main characters connected and communicated with each other, but I wanted more character depth. This book was still enjoyable, though. Nix and Calavera's appearance only added more humor, but that epilogue, though?!!

The epilogue left me wanting more of The Kingmaker!

I love the characters in this book so much. I'm deeply emotionally invested in all of them, and it saddens me I can't rate this more than 3 stars. 2 of the subplots were slightly boring to me and I skimmed. If I feel the need to skim, I can't justify rating a book 4 stars. The hacking competition & complications with Ollie were not interesting for me to read. What I was waiting for the entire time was for Syn to find out about Tăcut & Winter and lose his shit. That was fun to read, and I can't wait for Syn's story. I'm very curious about how London Miller plans on writing Syn's love story.

While this isn't my favorite read by London Miller, I enjoyed many aspects of this book & don't regret reading it. As usual her dialogue was excellent & all these characters seem three-dimensional & are loaded with personality. Winter is immensely likable & such a unique character.

I know with the reading order Skorpion is up next, but I'm thinking I'm going to jump straight to Syn's book.

It's Always The Quiet Ones . Sigh. I have been so excited to read Tacut and Winter's story since their banterific exchange in Calavera's book. I was obsessed with their chemistry and back and forth and could not get enough! This story was fantastic!

Sigh. Tacut was EVERYTHING. He was absolutely delicious. Sexy, Stoic and just everything that Winter needed. I've read Syn before The Wild Bunch spinoff so it's amazing seeing Winter and Tacut's relationship developing before Syn found Iris but it was perfect getting a glimpse of the type of bond Winter shares with both men. This story was emotional and sexy and so addicting. I loved every word! 5 stars! ~Ratula

YAAAAAAAAAAAS.

Yeah, okay, now that I got *that* out of the way ...

Tacut/Razvan was everything I did not expect. If there was a picture next to the saying, "Never judge a book by its cover," it would be of his image. Because he is silent, and because you have never been allowed into his head before now ... you go off the assumptions of others. That he's this big bear of a man, scary and formidable. And you assume that his personality and inner thoughts must reflect this image.

AND YOU ARE WRONG.

He is everything wonderful, and sweet, and beautiful. And if I could love him forever and hide him away I would!

No apologies made.

He is the oldest, but he is also the softest, and the one with the *most* innocent thoughts of all his brothers. I would be willing to bet every dollar in my bank account that he would have been the boy who are the very end before they were recused all those years ago, who was wondering, "Why are they hurting me?" Even after all that time, because he only wanted to be loved.

I needed this book. *needed* like the air in my body because it was just ... just was.

And Winter was the perfect heroine for Tacut. I could wax poetic about by, but I'm going to say it like this. She is his voice, or rather, the reflection of it. Tacut is only really Razvan with Winter. Because she easily reflections his inner thought processes, and the man no one really knows or understands because he can't tell them.

And it is wonderful.

I swear every book I read from London just continues to get better than the last. I am literally DEVOURING these books. In my quest to finish Den of Mercenaries I stumbled upon the two completed stories from the Wild Bunch.. let me tell you I was completely captivated throughout this entire story. Two unlucky bedfellows turn into something that wasn’t expected and of course what’s love without a third angle?

Reread 2/14/21:
🌟🌟🌟🌟💫
Still loved Raz and Winter.
I also really appreciated that the H is mute (not how it happened of course) and the h knows ASL because I think we need to have more books like this.

So there’s also the following:
Action/suspense
Alpha/sweet H
Hacker/ no filter h

Maybe it's me? Maybe I wasn't in the right mood? The story was nice. Winter and Tăcut were nice and sweet together. Too sweet and nice maybe? I felt like the book lacked of something. It was a "nice" book (so much niceness LOL), it just didn't grab my total attention. Everything felt too easy to be compelling.

Generally speaking, I feel like 'The Wild Bunch' books are missing a mark so far somewhere because I am not as captivated with them as I am with 'The Den of Mercenaries' ones, and as I hope I will be with the Kingmaker's books (please don't go and disappoint me).

Shadows & Silence (A Wild Bunch Novel) by London Miller
4.5 stars!!!

“Death was a needy mistress—it stalked them constantly.”

London Miller is an author I found through her collaborations with Bethany-Kris and ever since I have been frantically trying to catch up on her whole back catalogue…and I’m nearly there. I love my mafia books and while this is a spin off series about mercenaries and hackers, this started in the genre I love. Mercenaries and hackers though…I have come to love even more. Crooks & Kings was the first book in this series and gave us our first introduction to these characters. Razvan was fondly knows as Tacut, the silent one, and he has intrigued me from the very beginning. This was a book I couldn’t wait to start and then never wanted to end.

London Millers writing has that effortless feel, her stories simply spill from the pages drawing you into her worlds and never letting you go until the final word is read. Her character connection is on point and the emotion in this book was one thing that totally shocked me simply because I wasn’t expecting. I will admit, tears were spilled, I am an extremely emotional person and London Miller totally engulfed me in all those feels as pasts and presents collide.

“But now, things were different. They weren’t friends—acquaintances, at best. God help them all.”

There is some overlap in this book to Crooks & Kings and while it felt familiar it wasn’t distracting at all given that they were told from a different perspective, but I could see why the author went there to bring Razvan and Winter’s story to fruition. As ever this book is full of action, from beginning to end and a plot that was thoroughly engaging as well as entertaining. Off the charts chemistry that has bubbling since the previous book, age gap…which I love, smoking hot sex scenes and a man that while silent in speech certainly makes himself heard in every way, shape and form. In summary…this book was simply delicious and ticked all my boxes.

Both lead characters were adorable in every single way. Razvan, while big, hulking and extremely deadly showed a totally different side to him when it came to Winter. Over protective, hopelessly devoted and while he may be silent, he wore his heart on his sleeve, through his eyes and through his actions…all the places that matter. Winter may be eighteen but she had to grow up quick, she is as tough as nails, has no filter, but is infectious with it. Hacking her craft and one that she excels at and though she be but little she is fierce.

“He might not have thought love at first sight existed before, but she had his undivided attention.”

With a fantastic cast of secondary characters there was one in particular that definitely left his mark…Syn. Being a Brit, I am always intrigued when British characters are introduced and when his part to play in this story came out I was desperate for his book. After messaging the author I am pleased to say that this is on the horizon…yay!!! Believe me, once you read this book you will want it too. Once again, London Miller delivered and I cannot wait for the next one. Nicu and Vali are up next and these twins “share” so I am seeing a delicious MFM in my very near future.

“I’ll love you most in this world, always.”

Five stars for the man who shows us that actions speak louder than words.

Tacut & Winter were everything I wanted for them.
Every time we saw them together, I got feels.
Winter was so strong. She was gentle and kind and compassionate but also so resilient.
Tacut was gentle, but that never took anything way from the power that he wielded.

This was another fun, fast suspense novel from London Miller.

If you asked me, I could go on and on about this book. I could talk for ages about Miller's writing, her brain, and her characters.
But trust me when I say, London Miller is one to watch.

Can I just say there's just something wonderfully amazing when you have a go to author that just hits your sweet spot EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.

Shadows and Silence was everything I hoped for and more! The build up from sexual tension to romance was so sweet and made me giggle like a school girl more than once. Amazing storyline that fits into the Kingmaker/Belladonna/Wild bunch Arc beautifully not to mention new characters that made me look up and drool and say to myself "Self, add that to our TBR right freaking now, Please "

Definately recommend this to all readers of freaking good books

Oh. My. London.

I can't describe what it is to read something written by London Miller. It's simply captivating... the way she keeps you on edge with the entire reading.
Her writing is incredible. And full of so much feeling. Each of her books creates in you every emotion that being able to express it is almost impossible.

I devoured her books in a couple of days and I remained with a feeling of wanting more and more. And although each book has a HEA in a dark and beautiful way. When she creates this universe (where I want to live) it triggers every situation that leads to another. And if you don't pay attention you can lose some detail.

“The nightmares don’t stop just because the horror ends.”

Shadows & Silence is a book where I feel we can appreciate how London has changed for better in the development of her stories. Where the secondary characters aren't just secondary but an important key.
Where love, desire and the fate of their characters is inevitable.
Without leaving aside the plot of the story and it offers us organized crime, scenes of violence, eroticism and romance.

Death was a needy mistress— it stalked them constantly.

Răzvan & Winter are so imperfectly perfect that what's between them simply has to be, is the right thing.

Needless to say, this story enchants me. And I'll not tired of recommending this author.

PS: yes, it's a standalone. But if you don't want to lose hints and details I recommend reading the books in order. (And read the books from The Den of Mercenaries first).

“I love you.” The words were air. No resonance, or cadence, or bass. But he said them and meant them.

The Den of Mercenaries primero).

London's winning streak continues.

I honestly don't know how to have a favorite when it comes to London's books, because they truly are unique individually.  Starting with Mishca and Lauren' s story, and currently completing Winter and Takut's --- the world she has created is one that literally stays with you.  She's quickly become one of my favorite authors.  The stories up until now, all tie in through character connection.  Can you read each series separately? Yes, you can. But, would I advise you to? No, I wouldn't.
Winter is a female lead you'd want as a friend.  Her character has common sense, emotional maturity, and a backbone.  They both have a background, but Takut's is heartbreaking.  But, his strength in overcoming is admirable! These two together are a perfect balance, and they see this with one another.  There's a hint of a "triangle" but its not annoying in the least.  I personally stay away from triangle books because of the teen angst it reminds me of... But this doesn't have that which is wonderful.  The complexity of their challenges is genius... I'm absolutely loving the suspense of it all as it continues in the series.
All in all, another great addition to the collection London!! Your gift is amazing, and thank you for being amn author that engages with your readers, stays true to your craft, and shows value in us by publishing well crafted stories.  I look forward to many more!

The story was a steady paced great read with some action. Let me just say I freaking love the heroine. Winter Banks is a genius hacker that's unfiltered, sweet and fearless.

“I might not have been able to protect you then, but I can damn sure avenge you now.”

She meets with a Răzvan ‘Tăcut’ Petri, a former assassin currently working as a bank robber with the Wild Bunch. Do to something horrible that was done to him he is unable to speak. What he lacks for in words he makes up for in action and gestures.

The two start to feel a strong connection between each other despite the hacker being off limits. They both gradually gravitate towards each other. I absolutely loved that they used sign language with each other this acceptance and understanding is something I highly favored about the book. The action was small but a good healthy dose.

There's a big age gap but with the writing and story I didn't mind at all. The climax of the story with bad guy was a bit watered down. It didn't bother me much though the story flowed very well just on the aspect of the two main characters.

On another note I'm going to have to read the Den series this story has peaked my interest.

The story was a delightful read and I'm seriously interested to know more about the Wild Bunch and can't wait for more.

4.5 Actions are louder than words.

Exactly what we've been waiting for!

Finally, FINALLY we get to hear Tacut and Winter's story. I think these two have been among the most mysterious and intriguing characters throughout the Den of Mercenaries and Wild Bunch novels. I almost felt relieved to finally know their background stories and understand what occurred in their lives to bring them both to this point.

You also learn more about Syn and his relationship with Winter. Without giving anything away, let me just say I cannot wait until he gets his own story.

This book was utterly fantastic. Winter and Razvan were such deep characters. I loved how they both cared so immensely for the people closets to them that they were willing to do anything to protect them. It's that mutual selflessness that makes them so right for each other.

For a man who doesn't verbally speak much, Raz certainly has a profound way of voicing his thoughts and feelings when he wants to. The way he made it clear to Winter early on in their relationship how deeply he felt for her was admirable. Granted there was a little hesitancy on Winter's part because of Syn, but mostly their relationship was free of angsty cat and mouse games. Not that there's anything wrong with that ploy, but it just wouldn't have made their story as genuine, I think. So. Bravo to London for doing right by these two and us readers!

All in all, the book was great, storyline was solid, the sex was hot. What more could we ask for? Oh yes, the next book to hit our Kindles soon?! ;)

Shadows & Silence is the second book in the Wild Bunch Series. This book was definitely able to be read as a standalone but it intertwines with book 1, Crooks & Kings so if you read both books you get an even bigger picture on what was going on with the different characters.

I love these characters and Winter has always been one of my favorites. The way that the author ties all of these worlds together so that you are also getting glimpses of the characters from the Den of Mercenaries series as well as from this one makes this book full of surprises.

This book is intense, from the very start I was hooked and on the edge of my seat. There are so many twists and turns throughout the story that just when I thought I had something figured out I realized that there was so much more happening. I went through so many emotions while reading this book. There was excitement one moment and sadness the next. The back stories of these characters is heartbreaking and learning about Winter's and Razvan's made me so sad for them. There were also some super steamy moments! Even though Razvan doesn't speak, he is HOT!

This is a must read book for sure! - By Alisa

4.5 stars!

I am really enjoying The Wild Bunch. The second book in the series features Winter a grey-hat hacker and Răzvan aka ‘Tăcut’ the former assassin. I loved their chemistry in Crooks and Kings, but I was blown away by them in this book. I had no idea what lay in their respective pasts or what challenges they were facing in the present. Th

I'm not sure who was the bigger surprise, Winter or Tacut. I already had an idea about Tacut's devastating past, but the reason why he was no longer able to speak was truly heartbreaking. I loved his fierceness when it came to Winter and even his brothers. He was not willing to back down from anyone, even when he knew the odds were not in his favor.

Winter was also clever, resourceful, and kind. I loved how much she cared for her friends. She was also dedicated to doing mostly the right thing. Her relationship with Syn was really explained and I loved it, but it also hurt. I am really hoping Syn gets his own book and finds peace.

Each book in this series keeps getting better and better, and I have a feeling Saints & Thieves is going to be amazing, and not just because it's about Vali and Nicu!

Dang it y'all! I really really wanted to love this book! And I did love the characters but here is my main issue... I felt lost! I have read the series with the mercenaries and the timeline of this book really really had me confused from the begging and I was getting extremely frustrated with it. I think that once I go back and read the others this book will make much more sense to me.

"He might not have thought love at first sight existed before, but she had his undivided attention."

I seriously hate giving this story three stars and and breaks my heart because I adored this couple and all that they are... and Tacut just gah! I am in freaking love with this man. Winter was the perfect match for him and I adored their love story!

I will come back again and revisit this story after reading the other books and hope to report better findings!

I love this and the den series but i have to say this book might be my least favorite. This has nothing to do with the characters because they where great (although i would have loved more wildbunch interaction). It's just that this book in my oppinion doesn't really progress the overal story in the 2 series. Lets just be honest i'm waiting for the wild bunch to figure out sebastian is alive :).

I kind of wanted a bit more from this book. The wild bunch are a supposedly formidable team but it’s glossed over. The last book was about fang after he took a break so I didn’t mind and this book tells the story of Tacut but would have preferred this series to start further back and cover their time in the orphanage and lotus society rather than brief flash backs. The books explain the orphanage but not how they became so in sync as a unit.

A great addition to this series.

I have been waiting patiently for Winter’s story from the time she appeared in The Den of Mercenaries series. Impatiently, I kept refreshing my Kindle library until Shadows & Silence appeared and once it did, I devoured it!

Before I forget, this is a series and needs to be read in order, beginning with Mischa & Lauren’s story. If you’re new to London Miller, I can assure you this is not going to be a hardship. In fact, I totally envy you getting to discover her suspenseful writing and rich array of characters. Heads up – you may want to start jotting down names and aliases – I’m seriously considering reading the books again and doing just that 🙂

Răzvan Tăcut Petri learned to live without a voice and became a commanding member of the Wild Bunch. Winter and Tăcut immediately connect— her with her bouncy enthusiasm and him with his unshakable stoicism. Being from different camps, so to speak, their fraternising is problematic and was a recipe for chaos. He was warned to stay away from the hacker, otherwise known as Winter.

“I’m Winter. I’m ready to work.” Răzvan was in love.

There are times when words are irrelevant, Tăcut being the master of letting people understand what he expected through his glares. Winter shocked Tăcut when she used sign language along with her words to ask if he knew sign language. She knew straight away they were going to be best of friends, and when she said as much she had begun chiselling into his heart.

“He’s like a walking wet dream,” Tessa murmured as she stopped at Winter’s side, her eyes on Răzvan.

She knew exactly what she meant.

With each of the stories, there’s a mission they set out on but this time it was different. While an active member of The Den, Winter was involved in the administration side of their activities or to be blunt – their hacker. This time the adventure was every bit as dangerous, but now it is a game or challenge instigating the suspense. She comes without a filter, an animated breath of fresh air with work ethics that are second to none. The thrill she gets from honing her skills feeds her ambition to be the best in her field.

The company Winter keeps is eclectic. Between hanging out at The Hall and her interactions with the mercenaries she lived on the edge of survival. Usually, her success is limited to her ability to code and move swiftly across a keyboard. This time however, the temptation of an adrenalin hit takes her beyond her safe zone and into a world where Tăcut excels.

“One rule, Winter. I gave you one little rule, and you didn’t even give me that.”

And she was paying the price for it.

Aside from the optional challenge Winter and by default Tăcut accepted, they have the unspoken worry of dealing with the concerns of their partners in crime. The tension builds as people notice the amount of time Winter and Tăcut are spending together. The fear that Syn, the man who left no doubt Winter was not to be messed with, would discover what was going on kept everyone on edge, dreading the moment the news reached him.

When they were alone, away from the judgment of others, life was relatively simple. That is, as simple as life can be for a member of The Den or The Wild Bunch. They reached into each other’s souls like no one else had before. It was beautiful to watch their love and respect for each other grow.

My overall impression of the story was how relaxed I was as I read Shadows and Silence. Winter and Tăcut were perfect together and had no issue justifying this to the people who wouldn’t hesitate to do whatever it took to keep them safe and that included being safe from each other. I didn’t flinch when the plot brought together tragedy, love, drama and horror. In contrast, I marveled at Ms. Miller’s succinct ability to do so. I can’t wait to begin reading Saints and Thieves, the next book in The Wild Bunch series.

★★5"Sometimes you have to hurt a little before you can get the good" STARS ★★

Shadows & Silence , the highly anticipated second installment of the Wild Bunch is finally here!

London Miller as always gives us a masterpiece, I bow down to her! This was such an epic ride! Shadows & Silence was everything I was hoping for and more, much more!

I won't lie, Tacut & Winter have been of my favorite characters since they were introduced and I honestly couldn't wait for their story.

Shadows & Silence is written in both POV's, the best about it? We get to know a little bit of the past of both characters, their struggles and their pain and how this made them the persons they are today.

There were so much feelings for Razvan (yes! I have a soft spot for him!) His story as the rest of the Wild Bunch is not heart and flowers but the way he overcame the horrors of his past is what I love about this book.

Winter, what can I say? I love this girl! Sassy but vulnerable all wrapped in a little funky packet.

If you're a fan of action packed books, with couol that a are seriously goals and a plot that will keep you at the edge of tour seat, THIS IS FOR YOU.

I never imagined how Winter's story would go and I honestly didn't care much to read Tacut's either. I really just want to get back to the Kingmaker's story but I was rather surprise that I like the big guy and for how dull the story line was, I always and still love Winter's outspoken personality and Syn was just what the doctor ordered.

This connecting series from the Volkovs to the Romanians and every one in between never and still don't lack personality or flare. That has never been their problem but what this story in particular lacked was interest and a solid story line. Yes, the adults (Nix & Ulleam - yes, I called his name), were not needed to clean up this mess but what a poor villain representation. He wasn't even worth the manpower! Plus the fact that their story crossed with so much of everyone else's, it made theirs a little watered down or I guess their base is the not so love triangle?

Usually, I am all for plot over sex but when there is neither, what do you do? Is it Winter's age? I don't know, but the sex scenes were literally 2 and they were pretty to the point and that never bothers me. I like it to the point. At this point, I am starting to wonder if they removed his tongue or his vocal chords and I am not even one for the seemingly mandatory oral play before sex in today's novels and what about her search on said matter? So many loose ends.

The most memorable moment of this novel was the introduction of Syn. I wanna follow the Brit but first, I need Invictus & Thanatos story. They will hopefully be the redemption and my cake on the top!

I enjoyed Book 1 of The Wild Bunch series and was so looking forward to Tacun and Winter's story. This book did not disappoint. The story has some quite grim and dark parts but also some lighter moments and a cracking good story. This can be read as a stand-alone and although there was a tiny/slight spoiler for Book 1 you (a) don't need to have read it to follow this book and (b) don't really learn to much to spoil going on and reading Kings and Crooks.

Winter is a smart clever and smart-mouthed and I loved her in this book. She has had a tough background but not as tough as Razvan's childhood. This is where the dark part of the book comes in and London Miller does an really good balancing act of enough detail/darkness to add depth and feeling to the story without making the book too bleak and grim. The book is written from dual POV's, this helped me get to know and really like both Winter and Razvan, as well as adding extra depth and contrast to the story.

The writing is excellent, it flows well and is easy to read whilst the dialogue feels natural. The pace of the book was good and kept me turning pages, I just didn't want to put the book down. The characters are detailed and believable. The chemistry between Razvan and Winter was steaming hot and I felt their connection.

I will be reading the rest of this series as soon as it becomes available, and am hoping to catch up on the Den of Mercenaries characters who appeared in this book too.

I enjoyed Shadows & Silence more than I thought I would. More than I should have since the story started to really annoying me partway through, but yet I still liked it. Odd.

Winter is a hacker who thinks she is in love with her handler like guy, Sev. She met him when she was really young, but now she is older and maybe they can be something. Only she throws herself at him and ruins everything. So now she is licking her wounds and trying to move on. She is embarassed and doesn't really know what to do. Until she meets Raz. Raz who has seen her before and was instantly drawn to her. He can't talk, he is definitely the strong silent type, and I loved him. He is so sweet and kind and wonderful. Even if he is a killer. I love big tough men who are teddy bears with the women they love. He was great to read. You could see how much he cared about Winter right from the start.

Now this story was going along with Winter and Raz starting to hang out and get to know each other and I was loving it. Until suddenly she was all I love Raz! He is the only one that can compelete me! I love him so so much! Now...it didn't work for me. It was too quick and came out of nowhere. One minute she is embarassed that Sav doesn't love her like she loves him, the next she is all Raz is the only guy for her. It wasn't very good. I could see her starting to loosen up and like Raz as more, but I didn't see the love connection on her part as quickly as we were told. But I tried to let it go. Because of Raz.

And then the story was alright until stupid Winter messes it up yet again. There is this really idotic part at the end where Sev comes back and finds out about Raz and they fight a bit, but then Winter is all I love you both!! So Raz is super worried he is going to lose her to Sev, which even at the time she says she loves them both Winter acknowledges to herself she loves them in different ways. Sev like a brother, but she is in love with Raz. Does she use her words and say this at any point? No. Why would she. Much better to let the man you supposedly love worry that you are in love with someone else also. When she sees Raz again and he is angry because he is afraid he is losing her does she say anything? No. She sticks with her whole she loves them both nonsense which is ridiculous!! Like why can't she say what she actually means and that she wants to be with Raz? It made absolutely no sense. Just being stupid to make some drama for the end of the book and I didn't like it at all. The whole ending was a bit of a mess for me because of Winter and her nonsense. Oh well, the story was still enjoyable overall.

5 STARS

That was quite the ride.

I gobbled up this book in one day. I was reading during my lunch hour and even at family dinner. I desperately needed to know what happened to Winter and Răzvan (also known as 'Tăcut').

This book can be read as a standalone I suppose, however I do not recommend it. In order to fully appreciate these characters, you should read the other book in the Wild Bunch series.

‘Tăcut’ has always been one of my favorite of The Wild Bunch. When I imagine Tacut, I imagine a big, beefy guy, dark and delicious with a tendency toward blinding rage. However, at the same time, Tacut is very protective and possessive without being an ignorant caveman, which I can appreciate.

Winter is a petite, feisty, smart ass. She is young woman with a strong head on her shoulders. She is, by no means a damsel in distress or a victim. However, Like Tacut, she also did not have a pleasant upbringing and those experiences have shaped her. Winter also lacks a filter at times and I love it. She simply calls it like it is, which can ruffle feathers at times and it's hilarious.

Tacut cannot speak. His voice was savagely taken from him. I was very curious to see how London Miller would approach this element of the story and she executed it beautifully. Tacut may not be able to speak, but his words and emotions were communicated brilliantly throughout the book.

Winter and Tacut understood each other on another level, beyond words and actions, but feeling. They balanced each other very well. Winter didn't pity Tacut, she didn't try and fix him or change him, she met him where he was...and they complimented each other beautifully.

As a long time fan of Author London Miller, the Russian Bratva elements of this story had me squealing with geekish-joy. Gosh I miss the Bratva days.

The dialogue between the Wild Bunch flowed well and was funny at times. Fang and Winter's friendship was fun to read. Their friendship came full circle and I really liked that. I enjoy reading about that entire crew. I also found that the players in this game were much more easy for me to wrap my head around than in Nix.

There was a nice balance of romance and suspense in this book. There was a twist that I did not see coming and I had to pick my jaw up from the floor. I tend to prefer more passion and romance (like the passion and romance between Mishca and Lauren or Kaz and Violet) but I am a greedy like that.

I can't wait to read more about the Wild Bunch and the whole crew!

I voluntarily accepted an advanced reader copy for my honest review.

I really love this couple! Opposites definitely attract! She's loud and blunt...he's silent (not by choice) and intense. It was love at first sight for Razvan (that's my opinion!)...Winter just found him interesting. So she wanted to hack underneath his layers and find out all about him. Doing so landed her in love with him. I mean, how could you not?!
I'm kind of a Mama Bear to Razvan...I mean very protective of him! He has endured so much! Anytime someone would talk back to him or try to fight him, I wanted to go all ninja on their asses!
We really don't know the complete story about Winter and when we find out, she really didn't have it easy, either. She was Black Widow to Razvan's Hulk. "Hey there, Big Guy." It was so darling!
Now, Syn...can we say he was the scene stealer from this book? What a mystery and how I would like to know more. The relationship he has with Winter is very caring and sweet but also complicated. Did I mention complicated...he is the definition of that word!
You can't have a story in this world without a little visit from some other complicated fellows and it's always nice to hear from them, too!
As always, wonderful job, London! Weaving all these characters has got to be fun...and also a lot of plot diagrams! The action and dramatic sequences are great but the love story of these two is where it's at. Can't wait for the brothers that share everything!
