After the untimely and tragic death of her fiancé, Liam—an on the rise street boss, Kamree Harris is left devastated and disheveled. With no place to live and no family of her own, she and her daughter were left with no choice but to move in with her deceased lover’s mom, whom despised the very air she breathed.
While dealing with Trish’s verbal abuse and her perverted live-in boyfriend, Kamree didn’t know how much more she could take. When Kamree finally reached her limit, she was forced to confront Trish that resulted in being put out in the cold and grimy streets of the city. As a consequence of being hurt many times before, she was more than suspicious when a sexy, dark chocolate man goes out of his way to help her.
DePriest “Priest” Mitchell, was a man raised in the streets of Little Rock. Even though his dad lost his life to gang bangin’ and drug dealin’, Priest still found himself drawn to the power and the money that living that life brought. After the streets nearly claimed his life, he made a vow to make a change and to help youth avoid the path of destruction that he once traveled. With a failed engagement, he puts love and relationships to the back of his mind. Although Priest finds Kamree attractive, he wasn’t interested in pursuing her; he just wanted to help her out of a bad situation. What happens when his need to save her leads his heart to develop feelings for her and eventually has Priest in a situation to catch a body? Will Priest wash his hands of Kam and leave her high and dry or will he save her from a wannabe bad boy?
Kamree was getting on my last nerve with all the independent fronting she was doing. She constantly was running to danger and every time it was just wack. The ending has me wondering just how Priest will react and if what he saw would be taken for what it was. Overall it was an okay read.
I believe Rage had something to do with Liam's death. It's a shame what he has done to Kam. Priest is a good man. Dom should be ashamed of himself knowing how Lani feels about him. Essik just needs to be single.
This book was great I can not wait to read the rest of the sequels to this book I’m so into this book I’m having a hard time downloading the second part bomb author
Rage ain't about ish and I BET he had something to do with Liam being fast-forwarded to glory. I hope Priest see through the Bull. Lani....I don't know about her. Dom wrong in so many ways.
