A quirky and light-hearted romcom!
Extra Credit was a joy to read. It's really hard to find books that put a constant smile on your face. But this book did that and more; the unique characters and spirited storyline was pure delightfulness!
The charismatic energy between the characters was engaging and utterly humorous. From the moment Will and Chelle met, you could instantly sense their attraction and unconventional relationship yet to come. Knowing their histories, you couldn't help but root for them. They each found a way to overcome any stereotypes they had for the other, and found a real and genuine connection. Every interaction together buzzed with an intensity that only powered their feelings for each other.
And their individual personalities made it clear why they fit so well together. Will is your typical man's man, the type of guy who works hard but plays even harder. Tall, dark, and undeniably sexy, I swooned over him just as much as Chelle. And Chelle has a lovable, spit-fire attitude. Her compassion and caring nature balanced her tenacious demeanor. Their relationship was fun and very charming, but obviously not without it's challenges; first being the fact Will has a 10 yr old daughter, and an eccentric, hippie ex-wife. Mind you, I say ex-wife loosely. And I don't want to list the second and third facts, 'cause that would completely spoil the entire plot of the story. Trust me, it gets good! Just the title alone gives you a good hint. ;)
Extra Credit was incredibly well written. The comedic dialogue and inner monologues had me laughing until I cried! I don't know how Poppy did it, but this book has everything. Comedy, emotional turmoil, and a bit of dramatic flare. And the sexiness gets you all hot and bothered, you can't help but fan yourself when reading it.
If you love a good romcom with entertaining characters, then you definitely need to read Extra Credit! I highly recommend it!

I am picky. I know this. The people I work with, spend time with, see in restaurants, they all know this. I have high standards, and I like things to be perfect.
Being picky also allows me to be really good (at least I think so) at recognizing when something is done well.
And, Extra Credit is one of those things that is done well. Admittedly, I have been dying to read this and I dropped the other things on the "TBR" when my copy of this book appeared. Poppy Dunne, after this book, is officially a one-click author for me. When something is good, well written, well paced, and enjoyable, you want more. Another book, an extended epilogue...the next book. Yup, now works.
(Yes, Ms. Dunne, I am already wanting the next one and you haven't released this one. ***grabby hands***)
The balance of the humor, the sexy, the relationship, the emotion and the funny are all perfect. And, I don't mean perfect in a book way, but in a real life one. Will, Chelle and Amelia are people. Will's ex Suzonne, she is a person too (although granted someone I would rather not spend time with) but I believed her. I have met people like her. Although, I don't spend much time with them either.
I adored Will. He is just perfect, he is the guy you want to go home with, and you definitely know why Chelle is attracted to him. He's a great dad, devoted and really genuinely loves his daughter. I also really was drawn in by the way he treats his ex-wife. Yes, she is a handful, but he is willing to put what his daughter wants above the frustrations he feels with his ex. And, there is a genuineness to it, you really believe that who he is, at his core, is a good guy.
Chelle is wonderful, so true to herself, to who she is, to who her parents are (albeit with a little embarrassment there, but I am not going to spoil that...it hints in the beginning and explains about the middle, and it is worth the wait.) I loved her inner dialog. There are so many funny comments and things she thinks that I will never be able to list them all. My first literal LOL was about kale. Seriously. She made kale funny. Try that at home.
The other character in the story is Los Angeles. And, it is done well. So often, LA is the setting for a story because it is so recognizeable, but you then read the book and realize that the author doesn't live here and has likely only been here for a visit and saw what they thought was enough to capture life here. They miss by a mile. LA is weird. We are obsessed with really odd things, driving the 101 to the 405 at 4:30pm IS an act of love. The "valley" really is that "place over the hill we don't actually talk about". LA is odd...and to live here, and to love it, you have to be able to see the humor and appreciate the city. Poppy Dunne pulls off both.
The humor in this is also refreshing. A lot of romantic comedies leave you feeling like the humor was forced, with an undeveloped romantic storyline, or with characters you don't get to know because the humor was the focus.
Nope, nope and nope. The humor is genuine, authentic and more than once it is literal laughing out loud, hard enough that someone in the next room asks if you are ok. The romance is developed, heck, I was in love with Will by the end of this, so all good there. And, you get to know the characters. I feel like I could sit down to coffee with them, that I know them well enough for that not to be awkward.
If you haven't figured it out by now, I recommend this book.

I don't know what it is with book covers lately the majority seem just...uninspiring. There isn't anything wrong with this cover per se it's just boring. Another hot man body slapped on with boring typography added. This book was AMAZEBALLS, and it deserves a cover that expresses that. Nothing about this cover gives you a HINT of what the book is about.
My cover issues aside, this book was HILARIOUS! Chelle and Will's back and forth banter, as well as their inner thoughts, had me laughing my butt off more times than I can count. It was well-written and nicely paced. Had some witty dialogue as well as some hot sex scenes. 
We also have two very likable main characters. Chelle was awesome. She was funny. She was sweet. She didn't put up too much resistance to Will. I loved her. Will (who amazingly enough WASN'T a manwhore) was total book boyfriend material. He was charming. He was hot. He was funny. He was a great Dad, AND he was respectful of his ex. Another thing that is like a unicorn in romance books lately. My one and only complaint is I wished we would have gotten a further into the future look at this couple. I would have liked to have seen a baby or two.

Extra Credit was my first Poppy Dunne novel, and it definitely won’t be my last. This book is absurd! And I mean that in the best possible way. My stomach still hurts from laughing too much! It was just what I needed to lighten up my recently dull days. I swear I was grinning and laughing from start to finish. It was a good thing I was reading this alone and in the confines of my home; wouldn’t want the neighbors to think I’ve gone crazy.
Substitute theater teacher Chelle Richardson is almost twenty-nine, but she still doesn’t have a stable teaching position. She’s currently teaching at a hippy sort of elementary private school for the sons and daughters of the rich and famous in sunny Los Angeles where the kids are actually enthusiastic about theater, and the teachers are focused on spiritual cleansing. If she doesn’t want to move back with her parents when she turns twenty-nine, she’s going to need that tenure.
She meets Will Munroe III on a trail in her morning jog, she pegged him as some handsome yet douche-y rich guy, a dime a dozen in LA. When she sees him again, it’s in in a parent-teacher meeting caused by a ten-year-old girl and Beyonce. Will is actually the father of one of her adorable students, Amelia. Lusting over a student’s parent is pretty much forbidden in the teaching world, but a pancake breakfast and a socially conscious rendition of Oliver Twist for the school play later, and the two are getting to know each other more. Personally and intimately.
It had everything I was looking for in a rom-com—the meet-cute, an awkward yet lovable heroine, a hot, sweet, and six-feet tall of man candy who talks dirty and is an amazing dad (!!!!!!!!), some sexy times here and there, witty banter and hilarious inner dialogue, and a steady pace. It was a hoot getting to know Chelle, Will, adorable little Amelia, Chelle and Will’s canine companions, Archie and Bruno, among others. The side characters were pretty interesting too. Suzonne, Will’s ex-wife who lives in a yurt and talks to goat spirits, Chelle’s parents who had amazing jobs, Emery, Chelle’s friend at school, and the other staff.
And you know what, it’s so refreshing to read about a Los Angeles that’s not just about the glitz and glamour. It was fun to read about the quirkier and more chill parts I got a glimpse of when I visited. Alternative lifestyles, the fads, and just the plain weird. I loved it!
Extra Credit is a standalone rom-com told in alternating POVs. It’s a quick, fun, and entertaining read filled with humor, sweetness, and craziness all packed together in one hilarious book. If you haven’t read any of Poppy’s books like I have before reading Extra Credit, you’re missing out.
And I don’t think I haven’t said this enough—there’s just something about men who are great with kids that’s hot. So a good-looking and devoted single dad? I’m dead. My ovaries are dead.

EXTRA CREDIT was a blissful combination of quirky, humor, quirky humor, and just the right amount of smut. As the second book I've read from Poppy Dunne, I've gotta say it's my favorite so far!! Basically, Chelle's a temp teacher at a New Wave, hippy type of prep school for the rich and falls hard for a precocious 10-year old in her class. She didn't expect to fall equally as hard for her student's father.
It was impossible not to love Chelle. This girl was a freaking riot. Between her inner rambling, her word vomit, her awkwardness, her clown parents, her passion for life, and her humongous heart, she was an easy character to get on board with. Will was a little hard to connect with at first, but that was only because I was initially unsure of where his head and heart were truly at when it came to his ex. Once that was explained, he too was quite simply adorable. I especially loved who he was as not only a man, but as a father. And don't even get me started on his POV. He could be hilarious too!
This was Romantic Comedy at its best so be prepared to laugh, chortle, snicker, guffaw, giggle and snort. I've given you fair warning!!

Will was a little hard to connect with at first, but that was only because I was initially unsure of where his head and heart were truly at when it came to his ex. Once that was explained, he too was quite simply adorable. I especially loved who he was as not only a man, but as a father. And don't even get me started on his POV. He could be hilarious too!
This was Romantic Comedy at its best so be prepared to laugh, chortle, snicker, guffaw, giggle and snort. I've given you fair warning!!

Poppy, you sly, nerdy girl.
Extra Credit, like Room Service did not disappoint. I mean a Harry Potter reference in the first chapter? Voltron sweatshirts and some LOTR? Sold to the nerdy chick reviewing this! Hilarious, perfect internal dialogue paired with some serious chemistry gives this one an A+ (see what I did there?) In all seriousness, I was hooked from page one. Chelle is so quirky, in appearance and in character, and totally sucked me into her world. A twenty-eight-year-old wanna be teacher, struggling through yet another temporary job, and desperately trying to land something permanent. Chelle set herself a deadline, if she hasn't scored her dream job, teaching theater to kids, by twenty-nine, she goes back to her parents. I wont disclose why this is so terrible, because spoilers. Enter a free spirited student and her sexy, mouth-wateringly gorgeous, professional dad. Will is the pinnacle of all things sinfully sexy with a wit to match Chelle, and a rocking hot bod. Did I mention how hot he is? But sleeping with a student's parent when you are trying to land the teaching job of your dreams and avoid the circus of moving home with the parents is a really, really bad idea. Really bad.
In all seriousness, if you haven't read Poppy Dunne yet, you are missing out. Story lines to die for, characters to love, and top-notch writing.

Pretty hilarious! Kooky and quirky are front and center. A single (well almost) dad and his adorable ten-year old daughter play teacher's pet. Throw in some furbabies and some clowning around and an ex-wife that is a bit OTT -- and you've got yourself a hippie-fied romance that will make you laugh and laugh and laugh!

I haven't laughed this hard while reading in a long time. Poppy Dunne's humor is right up my alley. I love Chelle's inner monologue and Will is Hot! Hot! Hot!
I adore heroines who are quirky and awkward and completely oblivious to just how likeable they are to everyone they come into contact with. This describes Chelle to a T. The way she blurts random thoughts at the most inconvenient times had me in stitches, but it was her inner monologue that had pushed me over the edge.
Then there is Will. In the beginning of the story I really thought he might end up being your typical suit, uptight and overworked. However, when we get to his POV he proved to be anything but. I fell in love with him straight away. The love he had for Amelia, the respect he showed for his ex and the sweetness he showed towards Chelle combined with his down to earth sense of humor and all around sexiness make him an a total swoonworthy hero.
The banter between Chelle and Will was perfect and don't even get me started on the heat between them. Scorching! Add in the earthy, hippie-like LA scene surrounding them, a semi-crazy ex in Suzonne and the adorable Amelia and this story had it all. Sweet, heat, smart and sexy and all around HILARIOUS, this is a book I'll be rereading time and time again.
Poppy Dunne is quickly becoming a go-to author for me and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!!

This read was truly refreshing for me. It's been a while since I've read a contemporary romance that made me laugh out loud and sigh in a lustful way.
Will Munroe is a sexy stock market wizard who is also a doting single Dad trying to accommodate an eccentric ex and her organic-holistic ways of raising their daughter.
Chelle is a fiesty, quick-witted teacher who has traveled from school to school directing children's plays.
I believe in fate and the old cliche that opposites attract. The chemistry between Will and Chelle confirm my belief! From the first unconventional way they meet each other with their pets to the reoccurring fact they'll continue to meet for the education of Will's daughter; the sexual energy between these two scores an A+.
I really loved the connection between Will and Chelle. A couple that can have amazing sex and laugh out loud together is a couple with a promising future!!
I don't want to give up too much of the story, but I also really enjoyed learning about Chelle's upbringing. It enlightens you as to why she's so fantastically good humored.
The Author, Poppy Dune, keeps you on your toes with very funny banter and in-your-head quick one-liners that make you say to yourself "WTF did I just read and I really want to hang out with this Author one day!"

I hate giving a poor rating and/or review. I wanted to love this book. I tried so hard to love it. Please believe me when I say, “I don’t think it was the book, I think it was me.” I was suffering from a book hangover having read two incredible stories back to back. I had already started and stopped three books previous to this one. See where this is going? Instead of going to another, I forced myself to read this one.
This had a lot of humor. LOTS of it. In my opinion too much. I got bogged down with the humor and started to skim it. Sacrilege, I know! I enjoy humor in books. I think the problem I had with this particular book’s humor was it seemed immature and it was unrelenting, unless the couple were having sex. Most of it was internal dialogue as well which made it so much harder for me. I will also admit that I’m not up on all the latest movies, music, tv programs, etc. The hero and heroine make so many references, even in their mind, to current and new age topics that I wasn’t able to “get” the joke. See, not the book’s fault, mine.
I will say that I enjoyed Will’s daughter Amelia. She was so exuberant and refreshing. The ex-wife was interesting and though there was a little drama with her it didn’t last long. The sexy times were absolutely steamy, sticky goodness. Hot, hotter, hottest! Yep, that’s how it went when this couple got together.
All of that to say this: My rating is a reminder to ME of how I reacted to the book, not what I think others will feel about it. Please take that into consideration.
If you enjoy a lot of humor in your reads, this could very well be the perfect book for you!

I was actually super excited for this book. Not really because of the cover though, because it screams meh to me. I don't often read blurbs but this one just jump out at me with crazy and quirkiness and all-flowing weirdness and light humor.
When I started reading, I all but imagined Bad Moms, not the whole movie per se but that hot widower they were lusting about. Although Will Munroe is a suit and tie kind of guy, and well, definitely not a widower. Amelia, her little girl, is a ball of energy and a whole lot of adorable.
Chelle Richardson have just raised the bar for a whole lot of quirkiness in a heroine. Although that may be the case, she's charming and cute but I sometimes don't know what to think of her.
One thing for sure is that this book have made me think of food, a lot. lol!
This is my first of Poppy Dunne and I can feel the uniqueness of this story from her. The book is told in first person, dual POV and that feeling when the character is having a running commentary with their thoughts. Although it was quite engaging, it sometimes distracts me with the flow of the scenes and makes me disconnect. Other than that, this is hot AF with light drama and a whole lot of laughs!

One of my favorite sub-genres in the romance genre is the single parent category. I love to read about a parent who takes care of his/her kid(s) and finds new love. In Extra Credit by Poppy Dunne we have a single dad who falls for the drama teacher of his 10-year-old daughter. Add to that a bit crazy ex and a ‘special’ school and you have a funny, very enjoyable romantic comedy. I love it!
Chelle is a substitute teacher who teaches Drama at Bay of Dreams, an expensive elementary school for the rich and famous in Los Angeles. She does want a permanent position, but so far she hasn’t been offered a real job. Moving from place to place isn’t new to Chelle; as the daughter of clowns (yes, really, real clowns!) she has traveled the country with her parents and a lot of pets in a trailer. Since her life is busy enough as it is, and uncertain when it comes to her future, Chelle isn’t looking for a guy. The father of one of her students however is a bit difficult to resist…
Will is still settling into the life of a divorced parent. He and his ex-wife Suzonne didn’t work out, but since they’re still parents to their 10-year-old girl Amelia they have a lot of contact. Will has always been a workaholic; he loves his work and the money he makes with it, so he (and his family) can live comfortably. But the marriage didn’t survive all the hard working, and Suzonne’s passion for yoga, hippie and everything green didn’t help either. Chelle intrigues Will, she’s so different from what he knows, he just can’t stay away.
After their first meeting Chelle and Will don’t exactly see eye to eye, but when they find out they have a common interest – Amelia – they try to get along. Chelle and Will have a lot of chemistry, but they don’t want to give into it. Chelle doesn’t want to bring her job in jeopardy, and the whole ‘Will has an ex-wife’ makes her a bit unsure. Will knows he wants Chelle, but he’s not sure how to handle the whole situation. However, this a romantic comedy… So of course Will and Chelle have their happily ever after. Their road is bumpy at times – otherwise it would have been to sweet – but they get there.
Extra Credit is my first book by Poppy Dunne. She’s still a new author (this book is only her second book), but I really like her writing. Chelle and Will are a great couple, I love how they are with each other, and with Amelia. Extra Credit is funny without being too over-the-top and it’s not all rainbows and sunshine. Chelle has a lot to figure out about her past and her future, and Will needs to find new grounds with his ex-wife. Towards the end I liked Suzonne, but there were moments I wanted to kick her green yoga butt… I’m all for doing what you want, but don’t force your lifestyle on your kid…
I love the story of Will and Chelle, I give Extra Credit 4.5 stars.

2.5 Meh
Well, this was a boring read. Very, very boring.
Throughout the whole book, I kept waiting for something to happen. I kept waiting for the peak, for the 'wow', for the 'look at that'. But guess what? It never happened.
Everything was flat.
Flat plot, flat characters, flat writing, flat EVERYTHING.
Was it bad? No, it wasn't.
Was it good? No, it wasn't.
It just... it was... Boring.
Well, this was a boring read. Very, very boring.

I was so excited to get the chance to read another Poppy Dunne book. I loved her first book and Extra Credit is just as great. When I read the blurb, I was hooked and I could not put this one down. Who doesn't want to read about a sex, hot, alpha, who is a single dad to the cutest ten-year-old? Grab your copy and dive in!
Chelle has just started working as a substitute teacher. She teaches theater, traveling to schools that hire her to work with their students and put on a production for families and staff. Chelle lived a rather nomadic life. The daughter of clowns, which I found refreshing and unique, has traveled all over until she went away to college. Now as her twenty-ninth birthday is approaching she needs to find a permanent position or return home. I absolutely loved Chelle's character, she is a spit-fire to say the least. She can banter with the best of them and her description of the people and parents where she is living and working is hilarious. She is head strong, hard working and has a love for children and fur babies and the tall drink of water that is her student's father.
Will, stockbroker by day, single dad of a ten-year-old daughter by night. Will isn't your typical single male. He isn't out sleeping with every female he can, no he is helping raise his daughter, while dealing with a divorce from his crazy, hippy loving ex. She lives in a yurt for gods sake! If her silent yoga retreats don't have you laughing out loud, then the banter between Will and Chelle definitely will. When Will's daughter volunteers him to work on the latest theater production, he is ready to help. Anything to spend time with the fiery-redhead that is never far from his thoughts.
I seriously loved this story! It was just what I needed to get me through the funk I have been in. Dunne writing is awesome. The chemistry she creates between her characters is crazy hot. The hilarious moments stick with you and you find yourself wanting more. Throw in a crazy ex-wife and cat hoodie wearing ten-year-old and you have this awesome, refreshing, funny, sexy read that you will not be able to put down. I look forward to what comes next from Dunne. She is definitely an author whose books you should grab up!

As soon as Extra Credit landed on my Kindle, I knew I had to read it ASAP and I’m so glad I did.
It is a combination of romance and humor and very sexy scenes, there is no drama, no heavy plots or angst situations, the storyline is great I felt as I was reading a real-life story.
In the way, Poppy describes everything it is like being there watching it in a glass ball how the dogs are playing, feeling and understanding what the characters are going through, smelling a delicious apple pie or listening them sing.
The 3 main characters are fantastic no, it’s not a love triangle :)
I love Poppy Dunne’s writing style, it is smart (must admit I needed to look up some words in the dictionary), I very much enjoy the geographic references, she writes both POV and their inner dialogs are THE BEST.
It made me smile since the beginning and I laugh out loud at some situations, swoon over Will, wanted to go out to lunch with Chelle and hug Amelia.

Add to it the teacher is a quirky nerd who's trying to land her dream job, a single dad who's rich and sexy and a perfect match to her wit.
Chelle needs this job or else she has to go back to live with her unconventional parents. She loves her students especially the funny and uber-energetic Amelia. Chelle Richardson is 28 years old with a B.A. in Communications from Northwestern. In the five years since graduating she’s traveled to different schools and towns putting on theater productions, her suitcase always packed and ready for the next one. While some kids dream of running away to join the circus, Chelle had always dreamed of running away to join an accounting family. She craves a stable life. Chelle actually grew up in the circus, her parents are professional clowns, and she isn’t too thrilled with returning home. She finds herself in Los Angeles, a few months before her birthday, at the Bay of Dreams day school, ready to put on a new production. The ritzy elementary school caters to over-privileged rich kids that take yoga classes, have Tibetan chants and chakra cleansings. While out on a run in Laurel Canyon with her dog, Archie, a cute little mix breed, they run into a bullmastiff, Bruno, and his owner. Said owner is a Bluetooth-wearing, deal making (by the sound of his conversation), crossfit sweaty god. After exchanging a few words, Chelle leaves hot guy in the dust, convinced she’ll never see him again. Funny how the Universe works! This book is the right mixture entertainment, swoon, romance and fun. I laughed so much that I couldn’t stop and snorted. Between the school and the parent teacher conferences being called spiritual cleanses, the yurt his ex lived in, the little girl being cute as a button, Chelle and her babbling but also clown parents I never got bored. Seriously they are clowns in the circus. The book had just the right amount of serious and light hearted moments. And Will meeting Chelle at school for a meeting in which they sat in beanbag chairs too much.
Chelle’s love of bacon donuts made me love her. She didn’t eat as others at the school did and she spoke her mind. She was a breath of fresh air. so was Will. His love for his daughter and how he wanted her to be a little girl and how he fought for that was amazeballs.
When we meet Chelle and Will the attraction is there but Chelle doesn’t think to highly of Will. HE gets her to see that he is a fun dad who loves his daughter. that he is hardworking and kind and not into the holistic ways of the school. He sets out to prove he isn’t what she thinks divorced guys are-after a good time only. He slowly wins her over and they have a steamy and entertaining relationship. I love how they get to know each other and support each other. they believe and respect each other as well. They do face some ups and downs but deal with them and work through them when needed. I love the ending.
The story is fun and over to soon. You can’t put it down and will laugh throughout the whole book. Will and Chelle will endear you to them and Will’s little girl just grabs your heart and doesn’t let go. The writing is fun and lighthearted and written with spirit and emotion. the story is so entertaining and freeing. A refreshingly fun love story that you don’t want to end.
Chelle’s love of bacon donuts made me love her. She didn’t eat as others at the school did and she spoke her mind. She was a breath of fresh air. so was Will. His love for his daughter and how he wanted her to be a little girl and how he fought for that was amazeballs.

Chelle is running out of time to find a full time teaching position before she needs to move home to her eccentric family. She finds herself as a substitute drama teacher at a private school that is a little different.
Will is an almost divorced father with a young daughter who finds herself loving drama. Having a hard time with the divorce she really takes to Chelle and volunteers her dad to help with the upcoming play.
Will and Chelle shouldn't be seeing each other he can't seem to help falling for one another. Chelle was hurt in the past and finds it hard to be anything more than casual with Will in fear she may get hurt again.
A little bit of a quirky read but overall I liked it. Some of the book was really out there in terms of storyline and dialogue but I guess that at least made it different. It isn't on my favorite list and I'm not sure I would recommend someone to push it to the front of their reading list but I'm glad I read it....

Opposites do in fact attract. Extra Credit is testament to this with the quirky, ditzy, think strange thoughts, theatre teacher Chelle and uptight, eat stock markets for breakfast Will. The two meet at Runyon canyon and already their differences are noticeable. As fate would have it, Chelle happens to be the new substitute theatre teacher at Will's daughter school, and they meet again when Will's daughter "acts" (pun intended) up during class. This book was funny with Chelle taking the cake with her weird inner monologues and random blurting of things that at times made no sense. The attraction between the two of them was undeniable but there were pesky problems like Will's ex-wife and the fact that intra-personal relationships are a no-no at the school. All in all it was a nice and enjoyable read.

Will is a divorced dad that is really just trying to make the best of a crap situation, IDK if his wife was always a crunchy granola but WOW does she take the prize for being so. When he has his daughter he doesn't push the healthy stuff on her and just lets her be a kid. When he runs into Chelle one morning on the running trail, he doesn't realize she is a teacher at his daughters school. When he is called into the prinicpal's office later on and sees the girl he couldn't get out of his head, the situation is looking up, until he ends up working on the school play with her.
Chelle is a substitute teacher, just waiting for a school to take her on full time and when she realizes that the man from the trail is a students father all she can think is there is no good that can come from being attracted to a student's parent, no good at all, but the closer she works with Will the harder it gets. When one work meeting turns into an overnight stay, will things be clearer in the light of day? When Chelle realizes that this situation with Will is pretty much the same as one in the past, will she still give this a chance? Can Will get Chelle to see how good they are together, or is this just doomed from the start?
This was a cute, fast read with some funny bits, and some hot sexy times. The author has Chelle come across as bit of a moron at some points, with things just popping out of her mouth and not making any sense. Other than that, this was an ok read, I give it 4 stars.

My 1st book by Poppy Dunne and heck no it will certainly not be the last. I love laughter & Poppy brings so much laughter into her writing. So hilarious, & totally in a good way. There are references to clowns (in a good way, no scary clowns, you see clowns have always scared me since I watch the darn Steven King movie "It", big mistake on my part, but Poppy makes these clowns happy go lucky and cute and kind. I can deal with that kind of clowns.), circus performers, Roger Rabbit the movie, Kenny Loggins (love his music), Anacondas (pet snake as a kid? really don't like snakes, but in this book she makes them cute, can a snake be cute? not really, sorry.), Monkeys, Doggies, so many funny moments you just will lose count. Not sure how Will ever got together with his ex-wife what a freakin' nut!! health nut!! ...does not seem his type at all? weird!! Love Amelia. Sex with Dobby? What, Harry Potter reference, weird??!?! there is that Poppy humor, I mean, right??! I am so hooked, I will be sticking on Poppy's writing like glue? is that still a saying? This was a ARC, super glad to have the chance to read ahead of folks. Must read, so funny!! Will there be more from these characters in the future? I sure has heck hope so??! ( ;

Chelle is such a force of nature. I loved her. She speaks before she thinks, and finds herself in the craziest situations. And the people she has to deal with at that school would drive me crazy. I don’t think I’d survive the super crunchy school.
Will… he’s a total alpha. He knows what he wants and he goes after it. Even if his life is slightly complicated with a soon to be ex-wife. I love the little things he does for Chelle. He could bring me food any day of the week.
Extra Credit is a super quick read. I read it in one sitting. I could not put it down. Make sure you scoop this little gem up.
