Cyborg menage romance!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙❤️💚💜
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎
Character development: ☺️🙃😳
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Kristen - she is an FBI agent who has seen it all, she has chased the worst kind of criminals in the human trafficking decision, and has had her fill of humanity, so she decides to sign up for the interstellar brides program, hoping to find a match out there somewhere in the universe who will hopefully treat her much better than humans seem to treat each other.

The Heroes: Hunt, Tyran - Both were captains in Earth’s forces but had been captured by the hive and now they are cyborgs. The only place they are welcome is on the Colony, a sort of prison planet for cyborgs that had once been slaves of the hive and now have contaminated Hive tech as part of their bodies. They are no longer slaves to the hive but much of the universe is wary of them due to the tech that is now ingrained within them.

The Story: Hunt and Tyran were in charge of processing new arrivals at the Colony. Nobody wanted to be there, especially after being tortured and experimented on by the hive. Though since their home planets no longer wanted or accepted them after being held by the hive, they had no choice but to stay on the Colony. Since some of the other inhabitants of the colony had found mates through the interstellar brides program, many of the other males were full of hope for their future, including Hunt and his second, Tyran. Though after weeks went by without any more matches, hope began to wane.

I liked the two guys quite a bit. Tyran was silent after what he went through in the Hive custody. He was always second to Hunt, so when he found that their bride was matched with him, he was over the moon and it wasn’t long before he started speaking more. He wanted to claim Kristen the minute he saw her, not even wanting to wait till they got assigned new quarters. This was a pretty steamy story. Tyran was dominant and liked kink.

This audiobook was told in multiple points of view via dual narration. It was narrated by Ava Lucas, Teddy Hamilton and Leon Nixon. Teddy Hamilton is one of my favorite male narrators with a deep, but soft voice that is just terrific. Ava Lucas has a clear, feminine voice which is very pleasant, and I don’t think I had heard Leon Nixon before, his voice is not one of my favorites and his narration style isn’t as polished as some I have heard. Though I like the fact that there was a different narrator for each main character.

Mated to the Cyborgs by Grace Goodwin
Interstellar Brides: The Colony series #2. Science fiction romance with erotica elements. M-F-M. Can be read as a stand-alone but better as part of the series. Spin off from other interconnected series. Reading order can be found in Goodreads or on the authors website.
FBI Agent Kristin Webster has spent too much time tracking down the worst of humanity and she’s burned out and lacking trust. She tests and matches in the Interstellar Bride Program and heads to two scarred Prillon warriors on the colony. When warriors begin to disappear, Kristin has the expertise to help but her mates want to protect, tame, claim and coddle her. They don’t want her anywhere near the danger. Nope. Kristin wants to protect her mates just as much as they want to protect her. She’s not going to sit on the sidelines.

That testing program is flammable and once again opens the story. The warriors are way over protective. She’s not made of glass and they should know that simply by their claiming of her.
Sexy, steamy and hot. Also touching in their caring.
I’m loving the loving and can’t wait to read more by this author.

Defective. Dangerous. A Liability. Prillon warriors captured and experimented on by the Hive are relocated to a colony as their implants pose too much of a risk to allow reintegrating them back into normal society. Though heroes in the ongoing fight against the Hive, they are ostracized from PrillionPrime.

FBI sex crimes officer Kristin Webster has seen the worst of the worst in society. Having looked true evil in the face, she decides to enroll in the Interstellar Brides Program hoping there's someone out there who could love her unconditionally. Matched to a Prillion warrior, Kristen is ready to leave Earth for good as whoever is waiting for her is better than anything she's found on Earth. Being told the species she's matched to are virile, possessive, well-endowed, and dominant, definitely is a step in the right direction. Finding out there will be two of them, ding, ding, ding.

Captain Hunt and his second Tyran have tested and been added to the Interstellar Bride Program registry but after months and months of waiting are beginning to realize that even this, a mate, is denied to them. When told transport of their mate, an Earth female, is imminent they start to feel something they haven't felt in a long time, hope.

Acknowledging the honor bestowed on them, they plan to keep their mate safe and protected at all times providing her with a home filled anything and everything of comfort and endless nights of passionate sex so that she never has cause to leave. The reality though will test status norm male-female roles on the colony as Kristen makes it known she's not a sex slave sort of girl and wants to look at career options on the colony.

Their mate doesn't realize that the colony isn't anything like Earth. Here the males are warriors who have little yet dream for the unattainable. In addition, the Hive have left their mark on the Prillion survivors who carry scars that linger. If it becomes known that the Hive continue to look for opportunities to disrupt Prillion life, chaos would ensue. Better to keep their mate protected and safe at home than to risk the consequences.

* * * *
This is a series that follows a standard formula. Intro includes a highly erotic scene of female/male claiming in various forms, dependent on applicant's desire, that ends before final consummation. Applicant is taken out of this virtual reality viewing to find out this too can be yours if you agree. The body of the story then provides the meat and potatoes content that includes romance, angst, action adventure, twists, turns, and lots and lots of adult content intimacy scenes. The ending is usually a final scene wrap up with a happy trails future. For any who feel this means cookie cutter read one, read them all installments, I say it's sometimes the journey itself that makes a destination worth the trip.

In this installment, Prillion warriors Hunt and Tyran are the second pair mated on the colony through the CIPB (Coalition Interstellar Brides Program). I have a bias for these types of series that features wounded warriors who have lost hope as, in this case, their home world has turned their backs on them imprisoning them on a satellite planet for the good of their mother planet. Discovering strong females who look beyond physical appearance to see the inner man just works for me as I believe surface beauty is not true beauty if hiding a core of evil. True patriots who are heroes by their very nature glow.

Kristen is a female I can relate to and therefore embrace as a character. Strong woman who carries more emotional baggage than she should yet it's what she has to do in her career so she does. Finding a true partner who is strong enough to support, love, and protect her when needed, is a difficult balancing act that requires a truly special someone, or in this case, two someones. I further appreciated that Kristen was a modern thinking female who didn't feel sex was dirty or taboo and, if consensual, to be enjoyed. Different strokes for different folks. Definitely got a LOT heated and made this reader happy for sure.

The story line builds off an ongoing series plot that includes an erotic romance component. I appreciated the warriors moving on with their lives trying to make the colony their new home in all ways yet dealing with emotional angst as a result of their Hive imprisonment. I'm trying not to give up any specifics having to deal with this story so as not to spoil the experience for potential readers so will be vague in a general summation that the Hive isn't done messing with those who currently reside on the colony who are left to deal with that without the support of PrillionPrime.

The cast of secondary cast are gems in that most are quarantined Prillion warriors. Rezzer, Marz, Kiel, Perro are new characters and I'm frothing at the mouth hoping two of them pair up for the NEXT installment. You hear me Ms. Goodwin: Kiel & Rezzer (ya, I know Beast mode) NEED their time to shine sooner than later. Please make that happen.

As for the adult content/erotica scenes. Oh yes, they're definitely included and scrumptious for those fans of m-f-m menage with a D/s slant. One thing that draws me back to this author is her ability to bring it time and time again.

While reading this installment and having read quite a number of CIPB books I have started to wonder if there are variations to change things up. Totally mythical and hypothetical question regarding the likelihood that an Earth female actually takes off her collar giving the 0.2% of 99.8% a chance to shine. Also, a male Earth bride story. Something to think about anyway.

I'm a fan of the series and can't wait for more though Kiel is one who I am begging to see find his special someone.

ps. Come on Ms. Goodwin, Warden Egara has suffered enough. It's time.

it's pretty entertaining. I do wish it was longer. however, I think the author did a great job. The moving the story along and making the romance believable in such a short amount of time.

This is the next book in the subseries in the interstellar brides- the colony.

This one is centered around Kristin who used to be an FBI agent on Earth before she was matched to an alien warrior and his second. Said aliens are Hunt and Tyran, who are aliens who have faced horrible things from the Hive. The three of them get mated and fall for each other.

This one was just okay for me. I did not care for the overprotectiveness from the heroes, it was a little much. It took so much for them to change their minds. Let a woman do what she wants for goodness sake 😂

Her usual erotic novella: extra plenty of sex, instalove and insta lust, a sprinkle of plot. I know there's better out there, and I know this series could aim at more: a real story, a real world building, plot, characters. That's the reasons for the 1 star.

At 0.99 I'd say go for it when you need some spice. At their usual price, 5$, honestly I can't recommend them.

This is Book 2 in the Colony spinoff of the Interstellar Brides series by Grace Goodwin. I am really enjoying the author exploring a world where warriors who were captured by the enemy(The Hive), labeled a threat to their home planets and are forced into exile onto the Colony where they must make a new life for themselves. A bit broken but still warriors at heart, with little hope of a mate or seeing family again it is heartbreaking to see how these veterans are treated and also reminds me a bit of the treatment many of our veterans here have been treated.

It's been six months since a bride has been sent to the colony and despite little hope and ribbing by fellow warriors, Captain Hunt Treval and his second, Captain Tyran Zakar continue to wear their neckbands which are signs they have gone through the mating testing program. To their surprise they get word that they have been matched to a mate even though the female has been matched to Zakar as a primary causing a switch in roles. Zakar is thrilled and knows that this female with a 98% match must share the same sexual tendencies he keeps tucked away from general knowledge.

Back on earth Kristin is highly enjoying the dream sequence that always opens this series as it is a big part of the mating process. Apparently somehow the program has picked up her secret desires for dom/sub and light BDSM tendencies. Despite her sexual preferences outside the bedroom Kristin is an assertive self assured professional women who values her independence and ability to make a difference in the world.
After years as a top FBI agent tracking depraved abusive humans who have done the unspeakable to many innocents, Kristin feels it's enough and she must escape this environment. Signing up for the Interstellar Brides program was just the answer.

Finding herself mated to Hunt and Zakar, Kristin is a perfect match for them sexually and as much as she is falling for them she finds their intense overprotective behavior towards her frustrating and suffocating.

When events with their enemy,The Hive, turn the Colony and its inhabitants into severe danger. This is when the book turns on the action, with drama, suspense and danger that was actually thrilling and exciting making this story so much more than an erotic scifi romance/adventure. Even with the heart pounding, page turning excitement this book is full of, we are of course treated to a full 5 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 of erotic love scenes. I particularly thought it was relevant to address how this threesome has to balance their protective instincts with giving their mate the freedom needed to use professional skills to maintain being a contributing member of this new world in her new life.
An awesome addition to the series, don't miss this wild exciting hot ride.

This series just keeps getting better. This addition to the series gives us more intrigue at the Colony (the planet where the Coalition sends all the infected warriors). Even though I like the Atlan warriors in the Interstellar Brides series the best, the Colony books have quickly climbed to the #2 position. This story was so good that I would have read it in one sitting but gave in to sleep after the third time my Kindle hit me in the face. Living in the Colony is disheartening for those warriors that have been abandoned by the people and planet for which they fought. Now that the Colony has been included in the Bride program, there is some hope for a normal life with a mate. The author starts this book off with a shake up between a Prillon Primary and Secondary pair that changes the dynamics of this particular mating.

Hunt and Tyran have done their best to adjust to life on the Colony. Hunt wears his mating collar as a symbol of hope after his testing but there has only been 1 bride in six months. Tyran's needs have darkened with his contamination and he follows Hunt's lead and does his best to keep control of himself. Enter Kristin. Due to her job tracking and taking down the dregs of humanity and saving countless women and children for the FBI has given her a major distrust of all men on Earth and knowing that the warriors in the Coalition are honorable, she signs up for the Bride program and she has some dark needs of her own and with warriors disappearing from the Colony, her skills will come in handy.

While the story centers on our new threesome, the inclusion of several newly arrived Veterans (from various worlds) makes this a true ensemble story. Yes, there are some hot scenes but the overall story of trying to protect your mate makes for a really entertaining read as that protection goes both ways. The twists and turns in this story really shows us what is happening in the war and just how insidious the Hive are in their drive to conquer the universe. I cannot wait for the next Colony book as this one left a dangling thread that needs to be dealt with using extreme prejudice. I cannot recommend this series strongly enough.

Meh, maybe I’ll finish this free audiobook at some point and then leave a proper review.

This is the most instantaneous instalust ever.

For now, at more than halfway in, it seems like it’s just 2 possessive aliens getting it on with one human woman and some boring talk in between.

The steamy scenes so far just aren’t doing it for me — there isn’t enough character development for me to care about any of them.

FBI agent Kristen Webster has had enough, she has seen enough. She needed to get as far away from the corruption on earth as possible. And what better way than to be an interstellar bride. Her one dream was to be content and happy, but her deepest longing and secret was what she wanted from sex. Could they possibly pair her with someone with the same longing. Someone who like to take control of her, the one place where she would give up control. What is surprised to find out that Captain Hunt, what’s going to be the second to Captain Tyran. Their mate was coming, instead of being the first, Hunter was going to be second and Tyran was going to be the main mate. Could she handle his Darkside? The three of them together were perfect, Kristen could not have been happier she had Tyran to satisfy her Darkside and Hunt to balance him out. The three of them were so happy, no one could’ve predicted that the hive was active on the colony. When Hunt and Tyran go missing it is time for Kristen to do what she does best. Great story, unexpected storyline but a wonderful happily ever after.

I gave this book 5 stars because 1) Grace Goodwin gives us a wonderful world building introduction, starting with the usual dream sequence on Earth at the Interstellar Brides Processing Center. I dearly wish that Grace would give us a happy ending for Warden Egara. She has seen countless brides find their happy ending while she is left widowed by her former Prillon Mates. 2) Although the beginning of each book is the same, the story line diverges once the 'bride' is is on the assigned planet and in the arms of her mate(s). In this case, she goes to The Colony Base 3. 3) The story is fast-paced and there is both erotic elements and a bit of BDSM. 4) The story always contains an element of danger. 4) We get our HEA at the end.

In reflecting about the book which I finished a couple days ago, I think that what I will remember about this story is the absolute certainty that the mates are in love with Kristin and she with them. She is willing to defy their authority for the chance to save her mates. She not only assists in saving her mates, but they forgive her and their love intensifies. The cruelty of the home planets that sent their best warriors to fight the Hive. When they are captured and experimented upon, and finally saved. Their home planets do not welcome them home, but turn their backs on them. They are forced to live on an isolated planet. Of the many men from various worlds sent there, only two mothers come to be with their sons in exile. Thus far only one other couple has found a bride match. Now with Kristin, more will have hope of a mate and establishing a real family.

What are the most important issues presented by the wonderful escapism of this book? I found myself comparing the treatment of these brave warriors to our own Vietnam Veterans and additionally how all our Veterans are treated by the VA Hospitals, Congress, and everyday Americans like you and me. I am ashamed by our collective treatment of them all. A memorial does not replace the day to day acceptance and treatment of these brave men and women.

FBI agent Kristin Webster was dreaming a wonderful dream in the Interstellar Brides Processing Center. It was part of the testing she was undergoing to confirm compatibility with her matched Prillon mates. Then she would be sent off-planet to The Colony to meet her mates. The Colony was the place that the “damaged” warriors were sent. They had fought for the Coalition, but the Hive had tortured or experimented on them, contaminated them with Hive technology, so they were no longer considered “safe” to return to their home planets ever again. Having the Interstellar Bride program here could improve their lives greatly, giving hope and possibly allowing some emotional healing of these rejected warriors.

Captain Hunt Treval and Captain Tyran Zakar, his second, waited in the receiving area for incoming warriors to acclimate the new arrivals. Then, to their delight, they were told that their mate had just arrived – but instead of Hunt being Primary and Tyran Second, it had been Tyran who was 98% matched! With Tyran being more aggressive, and Hunt being gentler in nature, Kristin would find she had a perfect balance in her mates! Would their love be able to heal her men? Was her arrival going to be a positive influence for the rest of the Colony?

This author is a continued favorite of mine. Her writing is always excellent and her books grab the reader from the first page, opening with a dream sequence which is part of the Interstellar Brides Program for testing for a compatible match with an alien mate. The story line is excellent and well-paced. The characters are developed well, with a strong, confident female who will connect with readers. I highly recommend this entire series. It will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next. I voluntarily read a review copy of this book and my comments reflect my honest and sincere opinion.

If you like stories about sexy alien in love, this is your book.
-------------------------------

After the arrival of Dr. Rachel, Maxim and Ryall's mate, several Prillon Colony warriors were excited that they might also find their mate. Therefore, most of them have made compatibility testing.
But months passed and no females arrived.

Captain Hunt Treval held on to hope for longer, but his second, Captain Tyran, knew that no woman in her right mind would want to go to a planet full of warriors banished by their own family.

When Rachel called Hunt and Tyran and warned not only that their mate was coming, but that she was compatible with Tyran first (in which case Hunt would be his second), he could hardly believe it.

Kristin Webster worked in the human trafficking division in FBI. She had known the most rotten things in the human being. This made her almost disgusted to find a husband. So when she left work, she decided to take the test at the Interstellar Brides Processing Center.
Her test matched a Prillon warrior, but Kristin would not only have one mate, but two.

Upon being transferred to the colony, she is immediately introduced to her soon-to-be mates.
However, since there was an attack on the Hive of the warriors (last book), they were on high alert.
When Kristin's two mates are reported missing, she uses her expertise as a FBI agent to find them and bring them back.
This was against the policy of protection - and possessiveness - of the males of that planet, but in times of war every weapon is valid.

Although it has many scenes of sex (and about that, the author warns early in the book), the plot is interesting. Explanations are given and the reader can understand everything even if he has not read the previous book.

Out of this world romance…

If this is your first read of the Brides, whether this spin-off or the original, you know to grab a cold beverage and turn up the fan as they are requirements for this book, like all Brides stories…
Kristin Webster is successful in her dangerous career but has long fantasized about what was missing in her life.

“Was I supposed to be this turned on? I doubted it.”

Kristin was used to being in control, of matching her wits against earth’s most dangerous criminals. When she makes the decision to find a love match for herself she didn’t quite believe it would happen…

“When my friends were playing wedding with their Barbie and Ken dolls, I was tying Barbie up.”

Thankfully, that soon changed in a pairing (is three a pairing?) that left her (and me) breathless. The sexual chemistry burned hot from the first moment and everything else had to fall in line including trust, support and respect.

“I am beginning to believe, Captain, that you have that backwards.”
“How so?”
“I’m pretty sure you two belong to me.”

This is a spin-off series and I couldn’t be happier that more relationships continue to be forged in this unique and, surprisingly, romantic world. I may need a stronger fan and a colder beverage if this keeps up…

If you are reading this series, along with all the spinoffs, in chronological order, I recommend reading this AFTER book 1 of the Virgin Bride Series “His Virgin Mate.” and BEFORE book 3 of The Colony Series “Cyborg Seduction.”

The Interstellar Brides series takes place at a time where aliens are real and there are several different planets and species. There is a galactic enemy known as the hive, which is a technological species that invades planets and either kills its inhabitants or transforms their captives into one of them. A coalition was formed between the planets who are at war with the hive. Each member of the coalition is required to supply soldiers and brides to the cause. Soldiers to fight the hive, and brides to repopulate the diminished that have fallen victim to the war. There is a neurological test that a bride takes to me matched to their perfect alien planet, then their perfect alien match on that planet, through a series of sexual desires that only our subconscious can answer for. Earth allows for volunteers to apply to the program, or grants female criminals the option to become a bride over a prison sentence. Those who volunteer are paid a healthy sum of money, and those who are prisoners are given clean slates. All applicants are required to give up their Earth citizenship to become a resident of their new chosen planet. A bride has 30 days to accept or reject their match. If they accept their claim, they are mated to their new alien husband for the rest of their lives where they are expected to make babies. If they reject their mate, they are assigned a new one on that same planet. Where they are still expected to make babies. Warden Egara makes continued appearances throughout the series as she is the one who processes the brides in the United States. The Colony Series takes place alongside the interstellar bride series, but focuses solely on the residents of the Colony. The colony houses veterans of war, tainted with Hive technology. They cannot return to their home worlds because of their cyborg hive tech, so they live the remainder of their lives on the colony. Brides can be matched to a soldier living on the colony as they can opt to test for the matchmaking system like everyone else.

The author was smart in how she developed her story lines with the different species. Whenever she feels like getting kinky with orgies, she just has to write a match made to Viken. Feeling like dominant wall sex? Looks like it’s an Atlan beast book. In the mood for sentimental feelings? Prillion it is. Or some one-on-one bondage and S&M? Yep, it’s a Trion book. Lol

Written in first person, Mated to the Cyborgs is book 2 in this series and follows the human bride Kristin Webster and her alien cyborg mates Captain Tyran Zakar and his second Captain Hunt Treval from the planet Prillion (but stationed on base 3 of the Colony). Kristin was an FBI agent, working for the cyber crimes division, where she hunted down missing people, which made her jaded and untrusting towards men. She volunteered for an alien mate in hopes of finding an honorable male, but she carried a dark secret regarding her naughty desires. Shortly after arriving on the Colony, random veterans went missing, including her new mates, so she took charge and tracked them down to a secret underground cave where the Hive were operating on the Colony. She, along with a team, rescued her mates and saved the day. They soon claimed her, accepted her active role on the colony, she became pregnant and the three presumably lived happily ever after. Governor Maxim Rone, Captain Ryston Rayall and their mate Rachel from Surrender to the Cyborgs” make several appearances in this book, along with some new characters that I am sure we will be hearing from again in future books.

Prillions are humanoid. What sets them apart from everyone else is their massive size (they’re larger than humans and only slightly smaller than Atlans) and their mating collars allow for the wearers to experience each other’s emotions. They are also an alien species that mate in pairs, assigning a second so in the event one dies, their mate will never be alone and uncared for. Should an alien mate die, the surviving mate would select a new second to fill their shoes.

There have been way too many romance novels I’ve read that had me frustrated and yelling “Jesus Christ, when are they gonna fuck?! Get to the good shit already!” When we’re 50% in, and the main characters have barely kissed each other, leaves readers like me aggravated. This is NOT one of those books. The very first chapter gives a very clear indication of what we are in for. I’m fairly confident that there is more sexual content in this book than adventure. It is, quite literally, word porn.

Spankings take place in every single book (with the exception of book 1 in this series). If any man spanked me, I would probably kill them in their sleep, but I guess some women do enjoy them. Spankings are more of a turn-off than turn-on in my case, so I just ignore those parts of the books like “nope, that didn’t just happen.” I think the hardcore S&M lifestyle is growing on me because this book didn’t bother me as much as the first books in the Bride Series did. Either the author has eased up in her writing, or I’ve become numb to the controlling bondage experience. Either way, I’m all in.

As I’ve read through this series and all its spin offs, I can attest that the plot is incredibly addictive. I am way too invested in each book, in all its adventure and romance.

Mated to the Cyborgs is Book 2 of the Interstellar Brides: The Colony Series is a spin off from Interstellar Brides Series. It can be a little confusing with all the “Interstellar Brides” Books.

So, the HOTNESS factor continues in Mated to the Cyborgs! This is another ménage romance and is FBI Agent Kristin Webster, Captain Hunt Treval & Captain Tyran Zakar’s story.

Due to the nature of Kristin Webster’s job. She worked in the human trafficking division so, she has seen a lot of bad. Her job has ruined her for any man on earth. Kristin is ready for someone of her own and she is matched with a cyborg through the Interstellar Brides program. Kristin is matched up with Captain Hunt Treval a warrior on Prillon Prime and these men always claim a mate with a designated second who is Captain Tyran Zakar. Two very sexy, hunky cyborgs!

Mated to the Cyborgs is another extremely HOT book written by Grace Goodwin. I can’t wait to read more from her.

I wish I had seen this from the author a little sooner. Here is the order of her Interstellar Brides Series and Interstellar Brides: The Colony Series

I wish I had seen this earlier. It might have helped with my confusion about these series.

This is the best in the series that I’ve read this fa. Grace Goodwin had much richer plot development and action beyond the sexcapades of the three main characters. While, I love this series for its unapologetic sexuality and ménage action, I did enjoy the additional plot elements. It helped build this world even more and introduced another villain that will most likely be seen in other books in the series. I welcomed the action we saw.

This book was the first in the series (of those I’ve read) where the heroine had sex with one partner once. All of the others feature strictly threesome sex. I love the threesome action but this was a nice change from the usual formula of the series.

I really liked that the heroes here seem to balance one another. They each bring something different to the relationship and fulfill different needs that Kristen had. I couldn’t decide which hero I liked better. That’s a good indication that the author is doing it right. I definitely saw the need for Kristen to have them both.

The sex is hot. It may be my favorite in the series. This throuple deviated from the usual traditions in their relationship and wrote their own script. It was so good.

Mated to the Cyborgs is the second book in The Colony series of the Interstellar Brides series by Grace Goodwin. Our bride this time is Kristin, who, of course, starts in the bride”s testing center. I do have to say that I kind of wish we could have a different start then the same sex dreams in the testing chair in every book.

That said, the rest of the book was a really good read. Kristin’s match is Captain Tyran Zakar, who is usually second in command to his second, Captain Hunt Treval, but the match program put him first. It actually works for Kristin because he’s a dominant who likes to be in control and she’s always had dark fantasies about letting go and having a man take charge along with kinky sex. While Hunt is still an Alpha, he’s perfectly content to let Tyran take charge when they are all together.

But Kristin is not happy that her mates won’t let her help out when they need to investigate when men start going missing. So what happens when it’s her men that need saving?

I really liked this story and I liked the correlation that the Earth women don’t look upon the integrated soldiers as defective in any way. Another great outing for Grace!

This review is from: Mated To The Cyborgs (Interstellar Brides: The Colony Book 2) (Kindle Edition)
What a great read Grace Goodwin you never disappoint and I find myself missing sleep because I don't want to put it down, so in this book Kristin Webster is an FBI agent that's seen to much and is lonely and wants a change but not getting what she needs on earth so she decides to try her luck with the interstellar brides program and guess what she gets two men one is her matched mate and the other is his second, on Prillon Prime they have two men for one woman just in case something happens to one of them lucky her (still wish the brides program was real lol) on her arrival she awakens to find her self in the arms of a very big man while another stands by, tyran and hunt want to claim now and not wait shock and lust take over for them all and it happens right there, so as the story moves forward her men get kidnapped by the hive she a three others save the day I'll stop there cause I think I said to much anyway grab a copy of this book and all for Grace Goodwin books you won't be disappointed I haven't been yet. I voluntarily read this advanced read thanks Karen N

A lot of something's are missing.

I liked the first book of Rachel, Maxim and Ryston. It felt well fleshed out with backstory details, and emotional sexual encounters and triumph, but this story of Kristin, Hunt, and Tyran wasn't on the same level.

We don't find out anything about Kristin's background, or Hunt's. The men don't automatically give her the respect she deserves with her FBI agent abilities, and somehow I can't picture a short, blond, chubby (her words) woman, with a pixie cut hairstyle infiltrating dangerous criminal situations. She just comes off as a comic book character in my head.

And on a side note- one of the men at the beginning mentioned wondering what color her eyes were. I like those details so I can picture the characters, and I don't think we ever found out, except being described as 'pale' at the very end. I was also waiting to read the dialogue between the women's first encounter, and how the men reacted outside of the bedroom with their role reversals too. This story was just disappointing. After reading the next story blurb- single mom asked to spy on the Colony- I don't think I'll be continuing with this series. Sorry.

I mostly like this series….except

WHAT is it about authors now that seem to write sex scenes that feel it necessary to include anal? Butt plus and dual penetration and all, is just one step too far for me.
The storyline is quite interesting overall. The first part is based on women wanting to leave earth for mates for different reasons. They are genetically matched to a warrior from Prillon. The warrior usually has a second who is a partner who is there to keep them from being isolated and for general safety reasons. It also means when one gets matched to a bride the other can be a partner in this trio to help keep them from being bride safe and always protect her. These are equal roles.
The colony these warriors live on is separate from their home world because their enemy the “Hi e” had at one time captured them and installed cyborg parts, with the end goal of fully integrating them into the Hive to be used as soldiers against other worlds.
I really liked the story and it’s very well written with characters being introduced. I simply feel the over use of the anal play in unnecessary.

I really enjoyed this one! It pulled me in from beginning to end. I loved seeing Kristin show up and interact with her mates. She wanted to start over and get out from chasing the worst of the worst of the bad guys with the FBI. She wanted a chance at love and seeing what she saw, hard to get past that with human men. Hunt and Tyran work with the newly incoming contaminated warriors to the Colony and now they are going missing. I enjoyed watching them come together and it is high on the kink factor and well done. But we quickly get to see Kristin needing to help hunt the bad guys knowing that they are out there and she has expertise that could help. This story was entertaining and interesting and I was engaged from start to finish. I can't wait to see what comes next for the Colony series! Really enjoying it.
The narrators did a great job with the story as well and bringing it to life. It is dual style so they narrate when it is from their characters point of view and voice for all characters during that time. They all did a good job with the different voices to showcase the different characters and what was going on.

Kristin has seen enough of violence. Her being with the FBI and working to stop human trafficking and all other sense of violence has taken its toll. She wants to find happiness. Her experience with the Interstellar Bride program shows her a side that she didn't think she had. She gets matched to two Prillon Warriors.

Captain Hunt and Tyran are her match but with a twist. Neither thought they would find someone. CPT Hunt always had hope on the Colony. They all needed hope. When they find out they have a mate, they both feel the pull and want to claim her instantly. Things to be moving along well when soldiers start disappearing. They need to find out what is going on but Kristin wants to help. Her mates refuse. They want to protector and keep her far from this. But that isn't going to stop Kristin. She enlists the help of another human bride at the Colony to help.

Will they be able to find out what is going on at the Colony? And will her mates be mad when she disobeys them. These books are sooooooooooo good and worth it. I cant wait till the next one.

fantastic read. another wonderful book from grace goodwin in this spin off series about the colony. loving the way she is turning the colony a planet where discarded warriors who have been changed by the hive are forced to live into a home for them giving them hope of a normal life after all they have been through. how she is making strong female characters with real life important jobs be mated to these huge over protective men so they have to learn to let go a little and let their women be themselves and help make life on the colony better for everyone. the women throw their skills into use to create a better world for their mates and those waiting for mates. love both series and can't wait to continue reading more about both worlds. highly recommended read. real characters with well developed personalities, hot sex scenes, love and romance, and some give and take on both sides of the mating.

FBI agent Kristin Weber has had enough of the degenerate scumbags she spent her career investigating and arresting. She is ready for a new life as an Interstellar Bride and is excited to be matched to not one but two Prillon warriors on The Colony planet. Captains Tyran and Hunt are shocked to find that they have finally been matched to a human. Only Governor Maxim and Captain Ryston have a mate and the other warriors were growing discouraged. Tyran is unexpectedly the one matched, making him the Primary with Hunt as the Secondary. He knows this means that his new mate is going to be compatible with his sexual preferences. He will be domineering and the disciplinary with Hunt as the softer, more tolerant mate. Kristin will need both of them and they will complement each other.

Mysterious disappearances will bring out Kristin's need to contribute her investigatory skills which will put her in opposition to her mates need to protect her. Uh oh.

With each new installment you get wrapped up in hot sexy men. I love that Grace has continued to work with the veterans of the Colony. What get soldiers these men are. Life on the Colony is desolate, isolation and lonely. The only hope is a mate. thankfully with a new rulers in place many more brides will come. There is still one big problem, the Hive, infiltration through a rough soldier. The Hive has been buried deep within the tunnel system at the colony. With the help of Hunt and Tyran they have been able to find the missing and realize that there is more going on. With the help if their new mate Kristen they start to build a case or a start a major investigation. Kristen is a smart cookie and is not wallflower. She was trained to find the nastiest of society on Earth. With her smarts and their brut force they are one amazing team.
