This was it. She was going to prison. She’d tested Detective Lincoln Hill’s determination one time too many. Underestimated his keen wit. Misjudged his naked resolve. But she couldn’t dwell on how she’d been caught. She couldn’t dwell on anything but the fact that her quest for revenge was officially over. Brought to an end by her best friend. A friend who didn’t yet know what a monster she truly was… She wondered how he’d react when they locked eyes. When he realized the truth. That his best friend was the woman he’d been hunting for months. That his best friend was the psychopath who’d been brutally attacking rich men all across the island. That his best friend… Was The Shadow Rock Chopper. — RAW is an interracial novel. Triggering elements. Strong sexual content. Strong language. This story ends in a cliffhanger. The Revenge Series is written to unfold over multiple volumes. Book 1: Quiver Book 2: Tingle Book 3: Purr Book 4: Yearn Book 5: Pulse Book 6: Raw Book 7: coming soon

I'm fascinated by deeply flawed people in impossible situations, and insane people who don't know they're insane. Perfection puzzles me, so my characters are always just a little bit evil--whether they know it or not!

WARNING: Please DO NOT read this review (or any review) if you have not read Pulse: Book 5 in The Revenge Series.

Lincoln knows Veda is

For those of you that might have missed it in Book 5 -- Lincoln knows who the Chopper is .... I'm not sure what his final plan will be ... but he knows . Now having said that maybe he unconsciously doesn't want to acknowledge it -- but stitches don't lie and that's all I'm going to say.

Also ... in Book 5 there was a perfect situation to finally satisfy the #TeamLinc Lovers -- especially since the author has teased us across four books already. Since you've read Book 5, you already know that the author tortured, I mean teased us to the brink with no pay off. The perfect opportunity slipped away like sand through an hour glass -- it couldn't get any better than temporarily living with Linc in a one bedroom, 1.5 bath condo. We're talking close proximity and somebody should have seen somebody naked -- that's all I'm saying.

You already know that Book 5 ended in a heart in your throat cliffhanger. So I'm sure you're not surprised that The Chopper found a way to get away ... otherwise they'd be no need for 4 more additional books. The author has to keep it interesting and she does with book ended revelations and action scenes in Raw - Book 6.

Now on to Book 6 ....

Gage is off on a dangerous mission to destroy his family and to prove to people (Veda, Lincoln and himself) he's up for the task. He quickly gets in over is head and I honestly feared for his safety. What he discovers will change everything he was led to believe about his parents.

Meanwhile with Veda suddenly screaming like a banshee in the alley behind the bar. Lincoln comes dashing to her rescue to find that she's stumbled across the unidentifiable body of dead woman with a Blackbird tattoo. This discovery sets Lincoln off on a course that will change his life FOREVER. This is NOT hyperbole or supposition.

The entire gang makes an appearance in this episode: Coco, Jake, Holly and Scarlett make brief, but memorable appearances. Jake is quickly becoming my favorite of all of Veda's friends. There is no substitution for having a friend that will keep it real with you -- always. None!

As mentioned by another reviewer, this book is not about Gage & Veda and their earthquake, ground shaking sex life. We get to experience the sweet side of their love, without the sex -- okay, there is one scene versus the many. And, we get to spend more time with Lincoln inside his heart and mind.

So whether you're #TeamGage (happy), #TeamLinc (sad) or #TeamTorn (on the fence) -- none of us truly know how this story will end. Rest assured, I strongly believe a major character will die before the end of the series and I don't think it's Lincoln.

And that ending for Book 6 ... Oh My Goodness ... no words ... just, no words.

There were lots of speechless moments and tears were shed and I think my heart stopped beating a time or several. There are many questions answered in this book, and even more questions that still need to be answered.

After what transpired in this book, it's clear that the stakes have become even higher, blood will be shed and lives will be lost all in the name of truth and justice.

That is all -- until Episode/Book 7!

DANGGGGGGGG TREVION! This book was so good. So so so so good.

For once, out of all of the books I didn't feel like a big center of it was around Gage and Veda and sex. Nah dude this book was so much more, and ACTUALLY if anything, they weren't the sole focus in this book.

This book was about sooooo much more than just relationships. And sooo much more than just Veda's plan for revenge. Oh my GOSH the plot twists. The heart-pounding moments. The tension in my stomach. The anxiety. It was all there.

AND ON TOP OF THAT: I even teared up at some parts. The emotions are strong for this one. I wasn't prepared lol.

I went into the book ready for this next edition, and it took a really long for me to get super into actually like 50% into the book I was still just really needing a push to get some real emotion. I was skimming a lot (given there was a couple sex scenes and we all know that takes up a lot of pages) and just not reading every single word like I needed to be. But then it finally hit me.

And now I'm so thoroughly pleased and happy with it all. Everything— well I won't say everything.. just a whole bunch of things are answered or brought to the surface in this book, and it was just sooo awesome to read. To my knowledge, I can't remember expecting ANYTHING that happened.

I usually take off stars for having to take so long to REALLY get into a book, but this is an exception. The beginning still wasn't even bad. It was good. Great. It just doesn't compare in any shape or form to that wonderful ending. That wonderful cliffhanger ending.

ALSO A QUICK EDIT: ALL OF THE CHARACTERS WERE FREAKING AWESOME AND CAME TOGETHER AND YES AS USUAL I LOVED ME SOME LINC EVERY SINGLE TIME UGH HE JUST MAKES ME SO HAPPY AND LET ME TELL YOU THE THINGS HE GOES THROUGH IN THIS BOOK JUST MAKES YOU WANT TO SELL YOUR SOUL TO MAKE IT ALL BETTER. MY baby.

And ANOTHER THING: I'm back to feeling conflicted bc I like Gage and Veda again ugh. When she's not submerging them in sex, I actually get to see the love. In this book, you definitely see the love.

It was all just perfect. 6 stars + favorite!!

Raw is the perfect title for this book. Instead of recapping what happened, I'm just gonna do a character analysis, if you will, of how I felt about the major players in this edition of the Quiver series.

Gage: Sure its admirable that he wants to bring his crooked family to justice so he and Veda and their future kids can live in peace, however, he overestimated his sleuthing abilities as in, he has none lol. He's precious for thinking that he could learn something damning about his family's enterprise in just 23 days when whatever has been happening on Blackwater Cruises has been going on for decades probably. Those people don't make mistakes and has eyes and ears on everything; so I don't know why Gage thought he could fly under the radar, so to speak, and think he wouldn't get caught. And not only that, but also made him and Scarlett contractually obligated to marry or end up in the poor house. So, so stupid. Then to add more weight to his crowded plate, get re-engaged to Veda (sorry for the spoiler), but wants his kids to know he doesn't give up before getting to the finish line. So, he's gonna tell his kids about grandpa's sex trafficking ring? What lovely bedtime stories.

Veda: This story really didn't focus on her getting revenge but more or less deciding it's time to quit after getting a major out from Linc who let her walk after catching her red-handed at the latest crime scene. I wholeheartedly agreed with her decision to hang it up while the hanging was good. However, why did she think after rejecting Linc that they could carry on as BFFs like nothing changed? SMH. Like, gurl, your rejection nearly drove this man to start drinking again. This ain't the time to be asking for a ride home. But she let her guard down, messed up, and left her calling card behind in Linc's truck that has come to bite her majorly on the arse. Rookie move, Ms. Veda.

Linc: Now he had a very "interesting" month. (This bout to be ripe with spoilers so turn away now or skim over this section entirely) Learning that Gage is his half-brother, finding out his missing wife is very much alive and finally getting to see her after 5 long years, THEN learning he has a daughter, then the heartbreaking scene I won't spoil, and putting the cherry on top of a very rotten sundae, learning who the real Chopper is. I so feel for Linc. His humanity is pretty much hanging by a thread at this point. He's shut down or its right there, but there are two things that's keeping him going, but those two things has probably been narrowed down to one. His portion of Raw certainly left me feeling raw in a sense because I want good things for him. I want him to succeed in solving his cases, but at the same time that success comes at Veda's expense whom he's in love with. I want him with Veda but that's impossible. I'm want him happy but after everything he's gone though in this book, it seems like climbing up a hill with a planet attached to his back. Just...grrrr.

Scarlett: She really surprised me. Scarlett was the unexpected comedic relief in the story. Favorite line "...this fool has wanted to eat this booty like groceries since middle school." LOLOLOLOL. I gotta say for a character who I wanted out of the way, I love her now. I was with her whenever she questioned Gage on why he decided to recommit to their arranged marriage when they were home free. Why he took it upon himself to mess up not just his life but hers as well. Though I'm still not understanding why their parents need them to marry in order to do business with one another, it just seems extreme to me. Nevertheless, I gotta say Scarlett isn't the docile little lamb I thought she was.

The ending: Wow, okay, the ante has just risen more.

The epilogue: Guess it's good for you Veda girl that Linc is no longer an official police officer.

There were a lot of jaw dropping revelations in this book. I have no idea what's gonna happen in the next two books, though I feel the series could ideally be wrapped up in Book 7. But hey, I'm here for the ride.

DNF @ 61%

I don't know what happened. I was really enjoying this series, so much so that I read the first 5 books in 2 days. However, at the half way point of this one I was losing interest so I put it down and came back to it a week later. I managed to read 2 more chapters but I couldn't get into it anymore.

I am unsure as to how to explain it, but I'll give it my best go. It felt like we were making progress in the story, we are on book seven so we are well into it. Into Gage's and Veda's relationship, Veda's and Lincon's, Lincon's investigation into the Chopper, Veda's revenge. So, although I know Gage's investigation into the Celeste and Lincoln's into Rawmoon are most likely linked to each other and to what happened to Veda 10 years ago and on the last book, it still felt like adding a new thing so late in the story. I felt like it cause a lull in the action. Add to this that Veda has decided to stop her revenge I just felt like the story lost the traction it had going.

I know I am well in the minority with this feeling, and I did try to get back to it but it just did happen for me.

Things are hot right now in Shadowrock, and tension is about to boil over! With Veda's once again daring brush with a pair of handcuffs, Link spares her. Veda is thinking of giving it all up to be with Gage, as he sets off on his own mission to out the dark secrets of his family on Blackwater cruises. Link finds out a few devastating secrets of his own as he learns and witnesses the heartbreaking fate of his wife Lisa. And the plot only thickens from there, as he uncovers a worldwide trafficking ring that not only involves the missing women and girls from Blackrock, but from all over the world. And as Gage hopes to find the secrets to bring down his father, he learns a painfully gripping secret about his mother. This is by far the best book yet! All the things we've been itching to find out seem to fall in place. As Veda realizes that love just might be enough for her to let go of her dark obsession (something I was completely against but now she has so much to look forward to after almost losing everything). Link will slip further down the rabbit hole of the Blackwater's wicked empire. And my girl Scarlett, (Gage's fake fiancé) taking one for the team! I can not wait for the next one!!!

Wow...what a rollercoaster ride!

This book revealed more of the hidden story than I expected. The story started off a little slow but boy did It take off in unexpected directions. The author had my heart pounding reading certain scenes. I was not expecting that ending at all. With all that said...I HATE CLIFFHANGERS!!!!!

I hope the next book in the series comes out soon because I want to see Veda and Gage get their HEA. My heart bleeds for Lincoln. He found and lost his wife within 24 hrs and gaines a family member.

Well done Trevion. Just the right amount of suspense and mystery. I loved it.

I Love Revenge...

Especially when it comes to sick twisted individuals who prey on innocent children...innocent women...and the poor...Shadow Rock may have other people seeking revenge...much like Veda Vandyke....my hero...maybe Linc will become the muscle she needs and Gage will be the power and money she needs to finish the job...now all three has reasons for revenge...I am so psyched right now...I can feel the rage Linc has right now....I can feel the shock Gage feels when he came face to face with his family's evilness...and I can taste the venom Veda savors every time she slices another pair of balls...

Suspense and a shock revelation entwined

Wow, what an ending, you could hear the bells chiming, the drums rolling, the thunder clashing, the violins screeching as your heart starts to slow down it's beating and your mind goes numb as Vader is finally coming clean with Linc, all the while you hear yourself say; "noooooo" with your quite voice as your eyes travel with keeping up with the words!!! I read this book sometime ago, just forgot to write a review as I was too impatient to read the next sequel. Loved, loved the descriptive storyline.

Another brilliant installment in this series. Though things ended badly for Linc and he has always been an important part of this Love-Friend triangle, this book was more about him and he took center stage. Gage and Veda will find their HEA, now it's Linc's turn. I'm hoping for an early release of #7

Raw strips the characters down to their most vulnerable points. The consequences of the previous books linger, and Veda’s emotional world feels bruised but still fighting.

This installment is heavy and tense, but the character work is strong. Nothing feels cheap or tossed in.

It’s a bruising, necessary step toward the ending.

Book 6 was intense and I felt all the emotion of the main characters. I am anxiously looking forward to what, I guess, will be the last chapter of this story. Author has talent for upping the suspense ...its getting good.

Though this book does leave a lot, I mean a whole lot of things unanswered.
I'd the series truly end with the next book, I hope it's not sorry or rushed b/c, that would really do the rains.

Oh snap! The jig is up now and there's no telling what's going to happen in the next installment. I'm hoping that will be the last one because I'm ready to stop guessing what's going to happen, but I'm routing for Veda to get out of this thing with her freedom. On to the next one.
