While on her way to recruit a new client for the Liberty Art gallery, Jo comes across a pair of bears, fighting. In their fight, they bump into her car leaving it badly damaged. After reaching the nearest mechanic's shop she finds out that with the repairs needed, she won't be able to make the meeting with her client. With nothing else to do, she is forced to treat the next few days as a brief vacation.
When a beaten and broken car enters his mechanics shop, Nick immediately recognizes what he and his brother, Tom, had done. In their play fighting, he and Tom might have caused a bit of damage to this innocent woman's car. Guilt immediately overwhelms him. After meeting Jo and seeing what a stressed state she's in, his bear can't help but feel the need to protect her. Deciding to keep his attraction to her a secret from his brother, he does his best to comfort Jo with caution.
Content Warning: This book contains lots of sexy shifter action. Intended for a mature audience only
Reading wasn't always Emilia's passion, but over the years she developed an irreplaceable love for books. She writes about large, protective alpha males and their strong, sexy female mates. If you enjoy steamy shifters and fated mates, then you'll LOVE Emilia's books!
Pretty good shifter romance. Jo needs a strong man in her life to encourage her & boost her self-worth. Nick has a secret that can be dangerous especially for a human mate, Jo has him rethinking a few things. Their attraction can't be denied, yummy! 😀
I requested an ARC of this book from the author at no cost. Jo is having a bad day. Her boss is a jerk that sends her on a road trip alone using her own car and the cheapest motels possible. Then her car gets hit by a bear sliding down the hill. To make it worse, a second bear appears and they proceed to fight and tear up what is left of the front of her car. Once she gets passed that horror she has to get her car crawling to the closest town and mechanics. If only she had known going in that the two mechanic brothers were also the two brawling bears, she probably wouldn't have taken them up on the offer to stay at their cabin. Tom and his older brother, Nick, do what they can to help Jo get on her way. Too bad Nick and Jo are having a hard time resisting their attraction to each other. This was a really fun read that evoked lots of emotion. Any shifter reader will love this.
Hot mechanics that can shift into bears. Every women's dark fantasy but not what Jo was expecting when she needed help with her car after two strange bears jumped out of the forest and rumbled on and around her car. But Nick didn't expect her either. He's always been told not to touch humans, not to get involved. But this one pulled his bear and he just can't keep his hands off.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.
The editing was poor. Missing words that changed the meaning of a sentence, bad spelling (but spell checked), and not the best grammar.
The characters were annoying. The h can only think “I’m being so cliche” so many times (in the first third of the book) before you decide that yes, she is cliche and the book as a whole is following a way overdone pattern. The H’s brother was a jerk, who you know is going to get his own book… because who doesn’t love guys who are jerks for no reason? The H himself was just flat and boring. And kinda weenie for an alpha.
I actually gave up halfway through. The book is one giant PNR cliche, so you know exactly what’s going to happen. And I got tired of the h going, “I know I’m so cliche, but…” That’s really not an excuse.
Very cute. I liked Nick, he was so sweet with her and so confused by his feelings for a human. Tom is getting on my last nerve. He is so bossy with his brother and trying to take away his happiness. He better shape up or I will have to kick some ass. I also liked Jo, she was sweet as well but I liked how she grew in this book. She started to stand up for herself and take what she wanted. A little spoiler ahead...but I know they said that Nick being with a human is going to mean she cant give him pups...I really hope that isnt true and something happens.
Really great read. She is on her way to see a new client when 2 bears damage her car while fighting. When she takes it to the mechanics and the mechanic sees the damage he and his brother have done. This is exciting, suspenseful, hot, and so much more. I recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Embora seja bem escrito é muito bobo e totalmente direcionado paro o sexo - que é bem estranho (bruto). A heroina fica implorando por sexo! O livro é chato, imaturo e não é romântico. Li até a metade.

I chose to read and review this book. I am a fan of the author and like her work. This one was great. Everything is well written the plot the characters and the flow of events. I liked how they meet and interact together. The sparks just fly everywhere and I recommend this one.
1.5 🌟 The writing was undeveloped and stilted. The characters were one dimensional and immature. I didn't feel the connection between any of the characters, not even the brothers.
Brian, Jo’s boss, was talking down to her, telling her over the phone that, as inexperienced as she was, she absolutely had to sign a certain artist for the success of their little gallery. Jo was not happy being spoken to like that. He had booked her the cheapest motel he could find, and had made her drive several days to her destination rather than pay the cost of flying there. Driving through a forested area, something large crashed into her car door. A huge brown bear stood up and she was terrified. To her relief, it turned and walked away – only to be attacked by another bear! The two rolled into the front of her stalled car! And she started to think that maybe they were . . . playing???
Jo’s car was badly damaged, but it finally started. She slowly drove to the closest town and took it to the local mechanics, Nick and Tom Brewer. Knowing they had caused the damage, they agreed to charge her only for parts and do the work for free. But it would take 5 days to get the parts and complete the repair. So Nick offered a cabin for her to use. However, a group of bears wanted Nick and Tom to join them and they tried to break into the cabin. Nick shifted and fought them off. But his attraction for Jo was growing. Would he be able to stay away from the delicate human? His strength could seriously harm a human. Would the other bears return to continue their attack? And what was Jo’s future going to be with her being unable to do what her boss had demanded?
This was a good story that I enjoyed. The character development was well done – the reader could feel Jo’s frustration with her boss’ cheapskate methods that put her at risk. Although afraid at times, she still showed courage and deserved to be happy. She just had to figure out what would bring her happiness. I voluntarily read a review copy of this book and my comments reflect my honest opinion.
*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from the author*
This is about a 4.5 for me. A super sweet story about a hard-working liaison for an art gallery and a reclusive, bear-shifting mechanic.I liked the writing style, the flow and how it all seemed to slow in the right places. The romance was love at first sight without either party being aware of it, as they can't seem to say no to the other, despite the responsibilities and rules that run their very different lives. I'm a sucker for the love at first sight stories, so it wasn't hard getting into it. I liked the story itself, how Jo's 'car accident' resulted in her straying on a different path that eventually lead to her happiness. The mention of other shifters giving the brothers grief was a bit fast but since it's about Jo and Nick, I didn't mind it. I did like that Nick's brother, Tom, had some personal things to struggle with, things that would have a huge impact on the couple's future. It was good; enough drama, sexy time, love and suspense in this fast-paced read.
This is the first book I've read by Emilia Hartley and I loved it! The story is very well written with great characters that captured right from the start and a wonderful storyline that flows smoothly. While play fighting, two bear shifter brothers damage Jo's car while she's on her way to meet a prospective client. She then takes her car to be repaired at Nick and Tom's shop and they offer to let her stay at their cabin in the woods. Although Nick and Jo are attracted to each other, he tries to stay away from her because she's human. When Jo sees Nick and Tom shift in order to fight off a pack of bears, she gets scared and runs off. Will Jo accept Nick as a bear shifter and come back? Or will Nick be left without his mate? You have to read this sweet and sexy story to find out. I can't wait to read more from this author!
This was a nice short quick read. You will enjoy this bear shifter book. When I purchased, there were additional shifter stories about wolves that were enjoyable as well.
Title: Adored by the Alpha Bear Series: Alpha Bears Book 1 Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author: Emilia Hartley Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Genre: #PRN #BearShifters #4Stars☆☆☆☆ ••••••••••••••••••••• Ohhhh my goodness another shortie but a goodie. Yes I definitely recommend this book, I loved it. Jo is human who travels for her job at a gallery. Problem is her boss is very cheap and he makes her drive her car, instead of a plane, he reserves for cheap motels. It makes the trip so hard it's not fun anymore. Then on the road a bear runs in front of her than a another comes and they start fighting or are they playing doesn't matter they're all over her car denting it all up. When they leave she heads to a town to there mechanic's shop. But she can't think straight she only has eyes for Nick. Nick and his brother Tom are Bear Shifters and own the garage. When they saw her car they realized what they did you see they were the bears play fighting on her car. Nick feels like something is there, he drawn to her. Tom is mad Humans and Shifters do not go together. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
Shifter that is taught that it's not safe to mate with humans, frustration for sure when you find out your true mate is human. Enjoy this romance story, very short but good
Nick and Tom are bear shifter brothers from a small town basically out in the woods. They have no official pack, consider themselves all the pack they’ll ever need. But as alpha bears the packs from the surrounding area are always trying to recruit them, one has gotten violent about the need to bring the brothers into their pack. The brothers were raised by their dad who firmly believed that shifters and humans did not mix. There would never be human mates for his boys and that had been made extremely clear throughout their upbringing. Now, Nick and Tom are doing their normal play/fighting in bear form in the woods – it’s one way they get out the aggravation of their bears. Only this time a stranger is affected by their play and her car is severely damaged by their rough housing.
Jo is at somewhat of a crossroads in her life. The job she once loved has become a royal pain due to one man, Brian, who seems to get crankier and cheaper by the week. Instead of flying to the meeting with a potential client for the art gallery, she’s been made to drive and stay in extremely cheap, almost pay by the hour motels. She’s had just about enough, but knows that quitting will be difficult. As her mind is mulling over her life, a dark shape slides into the side of her car, moving it unexpectedly. Before her eyes are two bears fighting on the road, although it doesn’t seem to be drawing blood or either giving up. For several minutes, and several slams of their massive bodies into her car she stares speechless and afraid. When the bears amble off a short time later, one seems to look over his shoulder at her car and shake his head. But that was just the fear talking, right? Jo cautiously checks out the damage to her car and knows she’s in deep trouble that she cannot afford. She heads into the small town nearby to look for a repair shop, not realizing that her life is about to change forever.
I enjoyed Adored by the Alpha Bear. Nick and Tom are very rough and tumble kind of guys. Tom is protective of his older brother and tries to stop his involvement with Jo, but to no avail. There is danger from a pack that just won’t take no for an answer, tensions from Nick trying to control his bear and Jo falling for a man she doesn’t know but feels a connection to. It was fun, sexy and there will be another story for Tom in the near future.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
I won't give a star review I didn't get far in. I think 2 chapters? But something entirely turned me off in this story.
The H and his brother wreak the h's car in their bear form. Not even for a good reason they were playing. She takes it to their mechanic shop and they talk about charging her for fixing it.. The brother wants to charge her full price with "she doesn't know it was us" excuse and H says just the parts.. Excuse me it was the HERO's fault. Seriously how heroic is that.. I wreak your shit girl now pay for it..
Yep I'm out. I don't know if he actually ended up making her pay for it or what but that entirely made me say wtf pos hero not worth my time.
