Rate this book
Special Agent Lea McCormack thought she knew everything about her job. She had spent years studying people with unusual abilities and keeping their existence a secret. Her life is however shaken to the core when eighteen-year-old Calvin Apostle accidentally kills members of his own fraternity with the abilities he possesses; bringing the powerful world of supers that she tried so hard to hide, into the light of the public. With people demanding justice for the lives lost, it is up to Lea to keep him safe; as well as his sister Cynthia who also possesses special abilities of her own. Soon enough, Lea learns that what she thought she knew was only scratching the surface. She must now face an enemy who is stronger than anything she has ever seen before and discovers secrets about her family that shatters all she believes to be true. She quickly finds out what it means to be normal, and what it means to be super.

Wonderfully written, beautiful and unique. The characters felt familiar and never once did I get bored. Hope for a possible sequel in the near future.
