My name is Ian O'Rourke, and I'm on the warpath--literally.
I'm half Osage, and we don't forgive murderers or turn the other cheek. So Raul Escobar, the last surviving sorcerer who helped slaughter my family, is due for a painful reckoning. His blood debt can only be repaid with his life. Escobar is the leader of all the evil magicians in the Rocky Mountain region, and he knows I'm after him. So he's sent assassins to destroy me, each one tougher than the last. Those murderous schemes have failed, so far anyway, and that means a no-holds-barred battle between us is coming soon. I will have my vengeance or die trying.
Michael Arches moved to the Denver, Colorado area in the early 1980’s, and he has never left. Before coming to Denver, he had lived in eight different places, but he and his wife settled down in Colorado and raised their family here. The natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains attracted him here in the first place, and he’s still finding precious jewels in them there hills to write about.
While it is obvious there are more challenges to come, the original issue from the start of book one is finally concluded! I love that there are consequences for trying to take shortcuts as well as for doing evil; not that some shortcuts aren't great, it is just that when trying to build experience things can backfire. Even so, hard work and perseverance corrected the issue Ian encountered and I think it also helped to keep him a little more grounded going forward. It will be really interesting to see how the changes we see coming at the end of this book impact the community and Ian going forward!
Don't know why some authors in a series think that a reader wants to be involved in all the boring part of a characters life. The last 2 books could have been written alot better
Wow! Truly a treat. This part of the story takes all the elements from the first two books and super charges each and every one. Beautifully written nature and spiritual treks that felt like mini vacations. I betcha everyone who reads this is going to check out a tree at least once. Hehe... Skillfully handled resolution of the initial events, whether this is the ending to the series or the first arc in the series. I'm hoping for more.
