Have you ever wanted something so badly it consumes you?
There is a fine line between needs and wants.
Deke Gavelson has wanted his Ravage MC cut for as long as he can remember. He’s earned it. He was born to be in this club. He’s not afraid to fight for his place, either.
Then she barrels into his world, and Deke suddenly desires something more than his rag and winning the next round.
Rylie Hollister has lived through hell and back. Each event makes her the strong, independent woman she is today. Until a bitter underground fighter threatens to turn her plans upside down.
These two are bound by their desires, but oh, how that changes when his intensity meets her passion.

Bound by Desire is the second book in the Ravage MC Bound series by Ryan Michele. It's the sibling spin off series from the Ravage MC. I loved that series and I love this one as well.
The last time we saw Deacon "Deke" Alexander Gavelson, he was weak, broken, hooked on drugs, selfish, young, arrogant and full of bad decisions. Deke is the oldest son of Casey and GT (Seduce Me). At the opening of the book, we learned that Deke had left home, cutting his ties with his family and was on his own, probably still broken but now drug free. He was anything but weak: strong, gorgeous, controlled, protective, independent and one not to mess with.
Rylie Marie Hollister was the beautiful, independent and sassy security guard. Having lost her parents at an early age, she was trained to take care of herself in any situation.
Bound by Desire was told in the dual POV. It picked up four years after Bound by Family left off. It was well written with well developed characters and a complex storyline.
It's obvious from the start that Deke has something in his past that we don't know about that set him on his current path and ultimately required him to leave his family, for their safety. Eventually the secrets are unveiled and built into the storyline. Some parts of the storyline were concluded, while other parts were left open to carry over in future books.
I loved just about everything within the book: the strength and vulnerability within the characters, the suspenseful plot, the loyalty and bonds of family and revisiting our favorites from the original series. Surprisingly, I really disliked GT, Deke's father, yet he was a favorite in the past. Thankfully he redeemed himself beautifully near the end.
Additionally, the stage was set by introducing all of the offspring as prominent characters. So far, there are six offspring for books with Cruz and Princess' children: Cooper (book one), Austyn and Nox; GT and Casey's children: Deke and Emery; and Tug and Blaze's child: Micah. They were all full of personality and loyal, promising to be great additions to the series. Next up is Austyn in Bound by Vengeance.
Considering GT and Angel are my favorite, I knew that Deke's book would be worth the wait! Deke does what all kids do...think they are doing what's best and in the process, he missed out on his family for 4 years. Good things come to those who wait and Rylie is worth it. She is strong, fierce and EXACTLY who Deke needs by his side! When the past comes back to haunt Deke, he finally gets his chance to set the record straight and earn his place with his Ravage family. The Ravage series is what started my love of all things Ryan Michele and she has done it yet again! Cannot wait for Austyn's story next!
First Impressions Bound By Desire is a fascinating and highly emotional of a MC romance. This is a story that I knew would have plenty of angst in reference to the emotional drama especially in what we saw happening with the hero in the first book in the series. Deke is a hero that is a tough hero, because he is so full of anger and has such a tortured soul and this book just broke my heart seeing how his family treats him and I just knew that there was so much more to his story than meets the eye and when everything is revealed, it will sweep you away into a vast arrays of intense emotions. You really see another side to this family and the MC and you just want to cheer Deke on to his road of happiness that he deserves and that Ravage just doesn't appreciate him. The romance is a delight though and really enjoyed how well these two get along together. They really fit just right. First Line
The Main Protagonists The Hero: Deke He is the son of G.T. and Casey. (Book 2 of the original MC series), as a teen he got lost in drug abuse but has now been clean for years and is away from his Ravage family. He is full of anger and devastation.
The Heroine: (Heroine's Name) Rylie is a fighter and a warrior of her own. She works in security and knows how to fight and defend herself. She is strong, independent and lives a simple content life but yearns for something more with a man to love.
Summary Deke Gavelson has moved on from the Ravage MC or so he thought. He lives to win in his fights and try to live with the anger that lives inside of him over the betrayal from the only family he has ever known. When his cousin gets into some trouble and comes to him, he is brought back into the Ravage MC and is faced with some tough decisions and having a battle that wages inside him over the truths of the past and never feeling like he is good enough for Ravage. And then he meets Rylie. Rylie works in security and knows how to fight and lives for it. She is brought into the Ravage MC fold with Princess which is where she meets Deke, whom she is drawn to and that anger that is buidling within him. As the truth becomes revealed, so will an enemy; Deke and Rylie will be faced with a challenge they won't be expecting but will their fierce love be enough to survive it?
What I Loved Bound By Desire was such a interesting installment and is the most emotional of anything I have read from this author before. And it also showed a different perspective than what we normally see within this series. This is where we see another side to the MC which is a bit self righteous and you will struggle right along with Deke and his inner battles with his family at Ravage. For most of the book you wonder why the family is so against Deke. Yes he made mistakes as a teen, but doesn't everyone? I personally didn't really understand especially his father's position. I adored how his mother never loses faith in him though and sees the good in him even if everyone else doesn't.
The romance that develops is really well done. I will be honest in that I wasn't a fan of the heroine in the first half. She was so uniform and almost military in how she lives. She just didn't have much personality other than being able to kick ass. Which this is my issue with many kick ass heroines to be honest, they don't really show their vulnerabilities. Eventually we do get to see her shed those vulnerabilities and start to have true character when she meets Deke. Both Deke and Rylie are able to shed their tough shells and truly reveal themselves to each other. But Rylie was very hard to like through much of the story. She is very much like "Princess" and not my cup of tea but I did like her eventually in the third act.
The whole plot surrounding Deke was so fascinating. I really enjoyed how everything gets revealed and out of all the cousins, I just adored Cooper. I loved that he is able to set his reservations aside and get to the truth of what happened. Unlike many other members of the MC including Deke's Father. I really struggled with G.T. in this one and I couldn't understand why he was so bitter against his son. Deke is so hurt and damaged by the harm his father caused him. Seeing him work through that emotional damage and find his place among the MC. And his devotion and love for Rylie was so inspiring and I can't wait to read his cousins story because whew that one is going to be intense and wild.
What I Struggled With The heroine!!! haha I struggled so much with her character and much of it is because she has NO life. haha She is almost military in how she lives her life. She pretty much lives to fight and nothing else.
Narration I adored this narration so much! This author picked such good narrators to narrate her stories, they just pull me into the stories so well. And are definitely a plus to how much I enjoyed the story. They really portray the characters so well in such a relatable way and builds on the intensity of the world building of the story.
Overall View Bound By Desire is such a fantastic installment that delivers on deep emotion, tugs at your heartstrings and builds in its climax for a vibrant level of intensity.

Yet another winner in this totally awesome series.I have loved each and every one of these stories that have been in this series so far and this ended up being yet another keeper.
I loved the story from beginning to end. Rylie and Deke were amazing characters both had some many similarities that they made the perfect couple .The chemistry was explosive and sexy as hell.
I alway pick a favorite character and and mine is going to be Rylie although Deke is right up there but Rylie tip the scales for me.I loved how she was a survivor ,tough as nails, sexy ,smart, and just one bada** chick.I loved the backbone she had and admired her for becoming such a strong women to survive.I loved that her crappy childhood didn't totally destroy her and how she wasn't afraid to take the chance to love a be love. She turned out to be my favorite character once she went toe to toe with Princess aka Harlow Cruz.If any of you have ready this series princess is deadly and scary as hell so this was a defeat in itself.(smiles)
One of the things that I admired about Ravage is that their all about family and protecting their women and children as they are the most precious things in the lives next to their brothers .That being said I was surprised that Deke had been living separately from his family for 4 years.Although his father GT was part of the reason why he left it was not all of it.You understand later on the real reason why he left but after reading and getting to know Deke better I realized that he was so much like his father.
I really loved getting to know Deke he was such a terror when he was a child I was proud to see that man that he had grown up to be.I found him to be sensitive, kind, loving,a sense of humor and one who loves with his whole heart and possessive of all of those he holds dear.Sexy and dangerous and a hottie to boot!A swoon worthy character for sure and had you wishing you were in Rylie's position a time or too! (grins)
Rylie reminded me a lot of princess and that she would be the perfect mate for Deke. She is strong enough to handle the lifestyle she was capable of protecting her man and would never give it a second thought to protect him no matter what the outcome.
This story was filled with tons of family drama surrounding them.A new threat to the Ravage families children. Not only that their are a lot of secrets surfacing and when they are learned omg ! Is it going to be a war or and all out bloodbath? The whole time I am soaking up all these secrets my first thought is I hope Princess isn't the one to find out about them first.
I love the story from cover to cover and did not put the book down until It was finished .Rylie and Deke are the type of characters that you could go on and on about as there was just so many things I loved about both of them.I loved seeing that after so many years and their kids are grown up that GT and Cruz are more in love with their wives then ever.
This was one hot read !Deke and Rylie just smoldered together!Burn baby burn!
5 stars from us can't wait until the next book in this series comes out.
Personal Note :This is a series that I never get tired of re-reading over and over again and this author is definitely one of my top favorite MC authors.
Ravage MC Bound is an offshoot series of Ravage MC and it's about the kids of the original Ravage members, all grown up now and in their twenties. Most of these offshoot series aren't as good as the original, but this one is better because the author's skill continues to get better.
In this story, Deke, the heroin addicted kid from the previous series comes back to town after 4 years because his cousin, Austyn, shows up and has been badly beaten by someone. He takes her back home to Sumner, only to find out his mother is diagnosed with breast cancer and has to undergo chemotherapy. At the same time, he meets Riley Hollister who has just been hired to be the security manager at X, the club's strip club. She is also a bouncer at a fight club.
Deke has straightened out his life, become a master mechanic and also a cage fighter, making a lot of money. He's withdrawn and bitter about what happened to him in Summer and how his father has treated him. He fights to release the rage that builds up in him.
There is a *lot* of action in this book and not really any boring parts (I even read all of the sex scenes!). The author explains the emotional baggage that the characters have, but doesn't keep recycling it over and over like bodice-ripper authors do (looking at you, MB). Instead, Deke's story unfolds throughout the book, as does Riley's. What Riley thought she knew about her background turns out to be false.
This isn't quite a Signal Bend level series, but it's *very* good for an MC series (I have read a lot of them).
My only quibble is the typos... there are just too many. A proofreader would be a good idea for this author.
I loved original Ravage series, but I think with this second book, I'm loving spin off even more. If that possible. It has life, fight, loyalty and soul.
If you read Bound by Family, you already meet Deke there. So, you may have your opinion formed about him. And shame on me I had too. But I have to warn you, it's going to be deeper. I don't say Deke didn't fucked up, that he didn't made mistakes. But he had depts, that you can't imagine. You just need to look deeper. And to be lucky enough to gain Dekes trust, to be let in, to see true beauty of his soul. When you do, you can't help but love that man.
After everything he's been through, I'm happy that he got Rylie. I loved her. Rylie is kickass. And that you can take literally. She's smart, loving, strong and loyal. That girl is Dekes miracle.
There's a lot of things happening. Which I wouldn't reveal. Wouldn't wish to spoil anything. I would just warn you to brace yourself. Because Ravage is at full force again.
And I'm so looking forward for next book!!! That story going to be bloody. And not only by making our hearts to bleed.
This book is amazing. Deke was introduced to us in Bound By Family. Readers didn't love him so I was told in that release but I adored him. Knowing the way these stories play out I knew in the end this man would come out winning. He protects his sister with all that he is so who couldn't love him. No matter what mistakes he made in the past my heart broke for this character.
Rylie was the exact type of woman I would have imagined Deke with. This character had her own past to deal with but came out more spirited than ever. This was a perfect pair.
I love the cover ... it says so much about Rylie and Deke. Perfect choice.
I have to say I love all the series and releases but this is my hands down favorite this far. Do not pass the book up. Thank you for the ARC and the chance to read! I love these two characters! Thank you thank you!! Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
1/18/21 ~ After reading an ARC of Bound by Consequences, the urge to re-read Deke's & Rylie's story was strong, so I just rolled it and I still love this book as much this time around as I did almost 2 years ago
*** 5 'Move the F*ck On' Stars***
I seriously devoured this book. It was that book that sucked me in, dug it’s claws into me and wouldn't let go until I got to the last word on the last page and even now I still need more words (trust me when I say you will too). But this book had everything: love, hate, heat, heart with everything in between then add in a bit of crazy - both the good and the bad kind - and you got a hell of an addictive read on your hands.
I must admit here and not that I have a huge girl crush on Rylie. She's just blew me away. She got dealt a rough hand as a teen and yet she survived and came out stronger or it. She’s got that whole don’t fuck with me vibe and yet gives respect when respect is given. I loved her honesty and how comfortable she is in her own skin and owns every piece of herself.
Deke. I freakin’ adored him from the beginning...of this book. I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t know how I’d feel about him after what happened in the previous book, but any doubt was quickly washed away about the man that he’s become. He is surly, at times comes across a little sulky as well as being an asshat, but despite it all there is this thrum of honor that runs through him and it’s hard to not be drawn to him. He’s that person that once he’s made you his, he’ll go to hell and back for you without a second thought.
Deke and Rylie’s courtship/journey to their HEA was perfect for them. When you look at their personalities, it really was exactly how things should be. It was hard, fast and smexy and it turned into more when neither of them were looking. Deke, being a Ravage MC offspring, let his Neanderthal out to play...A LOT, but Rylie gave as good as she got and I loved seeing how they not only respected each other’s strengths, but reveled in it. But outside of the physical, they connected on a deeper level that had me wanting them to get their HEA. There are a few bumps in the road, some I didn’t see coming at all, but I was happy with how everything worked out in the end.
This book had me on an emotional roller coaster and the funny thing about it is I never got upset with Deke or Rylie. There were times when I got frustrated with Deke, but that was it. I was actually ready to throw down for the man. Outside of the Deke and Rylie, hold onto your hats, you are gonna get a good dose of all things good, bad and ugly in this baby, but all of it was woven together so well that it made sense. There are triggers in this book, so be prepared. I loved hanging out with the Ravage MC family (I still haven’t read the original series, but I’m working on it ~ I promise). I’m a sucker for well written ensemble casts and this one is amazing. As for the next book? I want it now.

There's nothing quite like reading a book about a woman who can kick serious ass. I love it when authors create strong female characters who break the mold and inspire readers.

Personal Note :This is a series that I never get tired of re-reading over and over again and this author is definatley one of my top favorite MC authors.
The second book of this Ravage MC spin off series and it is going from strength to strength…the story is intense and gripping with Deke a ruthless, cynical cage fighter and quite frankly at the start of this book a misogynist who is consumed by anger and Rylie who works in security and is a smart cookie who bows to no man….
Wow what a scorching hot relationship..Deke and Rylie are two strong independant characters who both like control and are focused on their own goals…..they do not take crap from anyone else…. Their interactions are full of sexual tension, challenging behavior and humour….I loved at the beginning when they both describe their lives and their homes and they sound like the same personas … typical of the genre and what makes this book extra special is the brotherhood and sisterhood of the MC which is well described and full of camaraderie, loyalty and love…. Perfect…
There are two major events which occur towards the end of the book and in some ways this felt unrealistic and detracted from the narrative....I suspect the one was there as a device to introduce the heroine for the next book but both plots were worthy of their own book rather than packed into one...
That being said I loved the premise of this action packed and exciting read…this author never fails to deliver and as one story comes to a close so another one begins...I am so looking forward to reading about Austyn and Ryker in the next installment… .This book was reviewed for Summer's Eve Reads...
I fell in love with Rylie and Deke. They both had difficult lives with twists and turns that left them broken and bruised. It hardened them. They did what they needed to control their demons inside.
A chain of events leads to their paths crossing. Two broken souls meet but, can they help each other mend?
I wanted them to finally find peace, to find happiness and love.
Ryan Michele def numbers as one of my fave authors. she is a great storyteller and brings her characters to life in dangerous and engaging stories. romance and family reign true even amid heartache and despair. even though this series is about the younger generation which sometimes emphasizes the naivety of the female leads, i have still found great enjoyment in these works. i love the quality of the writing while still maintaining the speech patterns & roughness of character and lifestyle encompassed by this genre.
Bound by Desire is the second book in the Ravage MC Bound Series. This series is a spin off from the original Ravage MC and so far covers the lives of the MC kids!
This is Deke's book, growing up in the MC Deke always knew his destiny was the MC life. But he often felt pressure, leaving him with feelings of not being good enough. Which lead him down a very troublesome path of drugs and anger. In the end his only option to stay clean was to leave his family and start his life over away from everything and everyone.
Four years on and Deke is still clean but still angry. The way he deals with this anger is to fight and he's become a force to be reckoned within the ring. While he missed his family, he knew that going back home was not an option. What he didn’t expect was his past to show up at his door and bring him right back into MC life.
Rylie is one kick ass woman she's strong and fights for what she wants. She's had a pained past which forced her to grow up quick. Not wanting to be seen as weak and needing to support and defend herself she trained her body into a controlled weapon and its that control that makes her more dangerous. She's gotten a name for herself as one of the best in security work. Which has caught the eye of Princess one of the Ravage MC o'l Lady's and she wants Rylie working at club X that she owns.
Deke coming back to Ravage gives mixed feelings for all involved. There's problems that need to be faced and secrets that need to be told because all is not how it seemed. The one thing he never expects is for a woman to catch his eye. And he soon realises this is no club momma, she's feisty, gives as good as she gets and he's drawn to her strength.
He's never felt that pull before and it scares him and being back at Ravage being offered his place back at the MC is messing with his head. When danger attacks the club with Rylie being pulled into the trouble and secrets are revealed. Ravage does what is does best. They take down and destroy those that threaten them!!
In Bound by Family Deke came across as a selfish kid and kind of got on my nerves. This read definitely gave me a better understand of how he felt and why he did what he did. Ryan Michele really did change my opinion and Deke grew into a strong alpha male and earned his place within the MC. Rylie was a fantastic character i love when there is a strong female. Which gave us explosive chemistry between Deke and Rylie.
With the way the story developed i am eager to get my hands on the next book which is Austyn and Ryker's book. Because the lead into their story was intense and i really can't wait to see where Ryan Michele takes them.
I recommend this book to anyone who isn't annoyed by the extreme overuse of the threat: "I. Will. End. You."
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
I'm starting to think there might be something wrong with me. This series is getting such glowing reviews and I'm sitting over here obviously missing a trick. First, let me say, I enjoyed this book more than the first one, even though I didn't finish it.
We met Deke in the first book as a rebellious kid that got involved with drugs. In this book, it's years later and he's a 22 year old fighter who's been sober for four years. He left the MC behind at eighteen but when his cousin turns up on his doorstep, injured, he's forced to return her home. There, after receiving a very hostile welcome (including the completely unjustified accusation that he'd beaten his cousin) he discovers that his mother has cancer. Unable to abandon her, he's thrown back into the MC and all the drama that comes with it.
Riley works security at a kind of fight club, her parents died in a mysterious shooting. She's tough as hell but not in an obnoxious way (Princess take notes). Her and Deke work well together. Their connection is well-founded and surprisingly mature.
This all sounds good right? So, what could be the problem? Well, let me tell ya.
The main thing was the MC's treatment of Deke. It sucked and was far from just. Yeah, he left so that he could stay clean. So, what? They kept tossing around the word "Family" but none of them had been much of a family to him as a kid when he needed it. Anyone with a brain could see that he was dealing with something heavy and they all just ignored it. There are several flashbacks in this book where Deke's Dad is actually pretty abusive and was a huge factor in Deke going off the rails - I mean, who tells a 16 year old kid that they're worthless? Basically, they were all hypocritical assholes. None of them apologised, but what bothered me more was that Deke let them get away with it. They ordered him around and he let them. They gave him bullshit lectures and he let them instead of flipping them the bird. I stopped listening when they did him the "honour" of giving him the chance to be a prospect and he acted like it was the flipping holy grail.
Then, there were three other smaller issues, they were a problem for me in the last book too and all just added to me adding this to my DNF pile. The first is the sex. The wooden, blink-and-you'll-miss-it sex. It's something I've come to accept with a Ryan Michele book. I can overlook it if I'm invested but I wasn't invested enough to accept it in this one. The second was their ages. I don't know if Riley's age was ever mentioned but I don't think she was more than 22 and yet she, a tiny 22 year old, was the HEAD OF SECURITY for a fight club and later at the MC's strip club. I get this is fiction, I get that she's got some bad-ass moves, but that entered too far into the realms of nonsense for me. Third, was Princess. If you read my review for the first book you'll know I'm not a fan of this character and was hoping she wouldn't turn up in this book. Unfortunately, my hopes were dashed when she "offered" Riley a job in her usual rude, entitled manner. I hate her. Rarely do I say that about a character, but truly, she's everything that I hate in a person and yet in these books she's revered as some kind of Queen and I. Just. Don't. Get. It. My favourite moment was when she called Deke "A fucker" as well as some other choice things when he brought her injured daughter home to her. Like yeah, you're welcome. *eye roll* I think part of me is just continuing with this series in the hope that someone will kick her ass...
"4 years of hate and anger have turned into this moment" Deke Gavelson grew up in the Ravage MC, under a father who is impressive and important, under family and found family who are strong and expect him to take his place next to his brothers in arms and blood. Hell, this is what Deke expects of himself. He has always longed for it. But ...the Life and Ravage MC's enemies are expected outliers that swim around the rim, sinisterly claw at your heart and family, and try to destroy. Deke gets attacked by insecurity, addiction, and weakness at a young age, and this tears him away from all he holds dear, making him walk through fire to become a man the hard way, but not without the demons he creates for himself and the stubborn vestiges of what his father and men of the Ravage MC had once taught him.
However, old enemies do not stay old and must be vanquished because the threat continues to mess with not only Deke but also his loved ones. At this, Deke finds he must return home and when he does, resentment must be faced, an enemy must be taken out, completely, and family has to start healing. Luckily, a strong woman named Riley is there to meet Deke as he ascends into the man he wants to be.
Bottom line, this story has a lot of action and it has a redemption arc. Deke is not my cuppa as a hero (because I have to admit that heroes with addiction or are alcoholics, etc. are not normally what I want to read about, but I don't shy away from them, that much LOL).
A common theme with the Ravage MC is how the big conflict or threat tends to be targeting the women, and in this one, kidnapping, drugging, cutting, raping, etc. ensue. TW for all of that and .

In the Ravage MC Bound series, both Cooper's and Deke's stories can be read as standalones, but more depth is given if read in order, especially with Deke's story, which the reader may want to read more of the previous books to get a bigger picture. Thoug...I have found the NextGen stories more interesting, on their own. Happy Reading["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
The kids from the Ravage MC have all grown up. Casey (Angel) and G.T.'s son, Deke, left home when he was eighteen, and had no plans to come back, until his cousin shows up at his door, beaten and with a secret of her own. He has to take her back and come face to face with his inner demons. Rylie is tough as nails and can hold her own. She's a bouncer, whose talent's catch the eye of Princess and is asked to work security for Ravage's strip club. Rylie is interviewing for the job at the Ravage MC clubhouse when Deke comes home.
There is so much that I loved about this book. First the writing was phenomenal.Second, the characters. Rylie was perfect. Feminine but tough. I have a special place in my heart for Deke. He wants so bad to have the respect of the club, his family, but mostly, his father. And the third reason I loved this book - Family. It was Deke's love for his family that forced him to come back, and love for his family which made him stay. And it was love of family that made him realize that people really did have his back.
I love reading "generation series". I read about the parents. I've read about when they have children. But then you're left wondering - How are they as parents? How did they deal with the teenage years? Are they still together? The best part to me about reading the next generation is catching up on original couples and seeing how they've coped with life. And then the ending!! 5-stars and please don't make us wait too long for Austyn's book. OMG!!
Bound by Desire is the latest installment of Ryan Michele's Ravage MC Bound series and I can't believe I am saying this but it is far the best one yet!
I had so many emotions reading this book that I couldn't process them all at one time. Deke, well Deke just broke my heart. I was so heartbroken for his pain, his self imposed exile, his stupid choices he made as a kid, and his struggle to fight his demons. After the heartbreak came anger. I was so angry that the people that should have had his back were no where to be found. I was beyond furious at G.T. because not only was he Deke's father but he should have seen that Deke was not the same stupid kid. And I was down right mad at Ryan Michele because of the reason Deke couldn't leave after he came back.
That being said I was completely crazy for Deke and Rylie. I don't think I have ever read about two people who were more fitting for each other than this couple. The chemistry was instant and intense. I just wanted more. More of their passion and more of their connection.
I am a big fan of this series and even bigger fan of this author. This was an emotional ride but I loved every second of it!
OMG! This was fucking amazing!! Absolutely loved Deke and Rylie! They are such a bad ass power couple..sort of like Cruz and Princess! Deke totally redeemed himself because as a kid he was such a little shit, but the man he grew into...WOW!! Loved every delicious inch of him! He didn't back down and manned up when his mother really needed him. GT on the other hand, I was so disappointed in the way he treated his son. Seems he forgot what a screwup he was at that age as well! Its nice to see things come full circle for Deke, he gets exactly what he's always wanted and more than deserved.
Rylie was amazing! Loved how strong yet fragile she was. She kicked ass better than the men in this book! I was so impressed...she was fucking awesome!! No wilting flower there!!
My heart broke when Austyn went through what she went through. Her mother and the club are going to burn that town to the ground when they find out what JK and his crew did to that poor girl. She's a tough chick, not surprising having Princess for a mom...I truly hope what happened to her and what she was forced to do doesn't break her. Can't wait for her book..hopefully this is the wakeup call Ryker needs to get his head out of his ass and do right by that girl!
This author brings great energy to a story. But there were too many eye rolls and annoying bits that took away from this book.
It starts off focused on the romance then it fades to more of the H and his struggles. Everyone was mad. Introduce another character. Then they're mad. The person on the right, mad. 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
When H/h romance reappears, their story has progressed off page and I found that annoying. Oh so now all of a sudden that one thing that was a strong no is magically something you cherish?? Come on...
And this final plot twist?? What? Who? Why? Lame. 😒😒
Liked the h but she was strong expect when it came to this man. Suddenly he's just allowed to plow over her and that's supposed to be cute??🧐🧐
Great potential. Some solid writing in many aspects. But not for me. 3.5⭐
Awesome standalone and continuation of the series. Deke is the misunderstood one of the MC and battling addiction he flees the safety of the MC to kick his habit. He stays away for four years and cage fighting to blow off steam when out of the blue his cousin shows up on his doorstep with a big bruise on her face. He has to take her home and withstand the scrutiny of how he left especially from his father. When he locks eyes with Rylie across the clubhouse yard his life changes forever.
Rylie has been on her own most of her adult life after the murder of her parents. She is at the clubhouse on that day to entertain a job offer from Princess to head security at the Ravage owned strip club. I love Rylie and her tough as nails attitude which she backs up. She is the perfect compliment to Deke and I love the two of them together. Can't wait for the next book.
** I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review **
Deke and Riley. Deke was a troubled teenager in the last book in this series. He looked up to the guys in the MC, but felt like he fell short of their expectations, so he turned to drugs. He ended up leaving after getting himself clean and has stayed away until now. He meets Riley when he comes back since she has just been hired to be head of security at the strip club. She's pretty bad ass. They start off their relationship with it being only physical, but it quickly turns into more.
There was lots going on here. Lots of angst due to the reason Deke left and now with him being back. Riley had a past that wasn't so great. Her CB of an aunt (that was FUNNY) treated her badly until she left home at 18. I really felt that with all the stuff going on with Deke, Austyn and the MC, we didn't need the drama with Riley's aunt. And to not have the situation with Austyn wrapped up leaves with a sort of cliffhanger that I'm not thrilled about.
*thanks to Enticing Journey Book Promotions for sharing a copy of this with me*
Deke and Rylie have the usual relationship arguements: “I’ll drive.” “I can drive.” “Do I have a ***k?” I chuckle. “Yep, pretty nice one.” “Pretty nice?” “Yep.” Deke sometimes has to convince his woman to let him leave, “right. Sooner I get **** done, the faster I can get back in bed with you.” I loved this book, I can't wait for the next one in the series!
I think one of the best things about reviewing books is that you get to discover awesome books. And you wonder why haven't I read these before. This series was another one, awesome. Angst/drama/sexual chemistry/emotions that will leave you shocked and in awe!
Deke and Rylie are amazing together. Strong, loyal and so protective of each other.
Ryan Michele did a great job on this book. The story is well written. I couldn't put this book down. This story is filled with so many emotions. Loved Deke and Rylie, they both are strong, smart, loyal, and protective. Deke and Rylie are perfect together. The chemistry between them is off the charts sexy and hot. Deke and Rylie are a great pair. This is a great story. I really enjoyed this book. I recommend reading this story. It's a great book. Thank you, Ryan Michele. Wonderful work :) 5 Stars
Ryan Michele is back with our Ravage boys and they are hotter than ever. Sexy. Intense. Suspenseful. I love these guys, girls and everyone surrounding these clubs. I floved the original series so I was super stoked for a spin off.
Bound by Desire is the second standalone novel in this series and it surpassed the other books by leaps and bounds. I swear Ryan is some sort of good fairy witch, putting a spell on you when her words are on the pages, coming to life, sucking you in and keeping hold. And this book? So freaking amazing.
They are bound by their desires....
Rylie and Deke... I loved these these two hard and their banter/lust/love throughout this entire book was sizzling, full of passion and magnetic. Their journey was perfectly penned... balancing the right amount of angst, drama, romance and steam. I got lost between the pages and I already want to dive back in.
If you like MC romances but like them on the less gritty side with loads of steam then I suggest trying Ryan Michele... you won't be disappointed.
