5 books127 followersIf someone told a young Sayara St. Clair that one day she would be an erotic/paranormal-romance-writing Aussie expat living in Thailand, she would have snort-laughed and yelled, "You. Be. Crazy!"
If someone told her the same thing now, she would not yell, only nod solemnly. Because that actually happened.
Sayara has a science degree, with majors in both microbiology and biochemistry. Working in the fields of serology and tissue banking, she got to do lots of cool and sometimes slightly weird stuff. She was employed as the manager/buyer for furniture retail stores, where she had a chance to unleash her inner interior decorator. (Interior design is one of her great passions.) And for a time, she taught English to students in Asia. (Hanging about in a roomful of extremely loud, pint-sized humans is not one of her great passions.) She has written ads for TV, print and radio; real estate brochures; website copy; and a screenplay. Now she's writing fiction and has discovered it's her favorite thing to do. She's also learned that writing sultry romances is so much more fun than writing dry old scientific journal articles. No one has sex in scientific journal articles. Not the ones she wrote anyway.
When not writing, she may be most commonly found in a horizontal position reading, in the kitchen baking, in the garden planting, or somewhere else singing at the top of her lungs. She loves music and is prone to spontaneous bouts of dancing.
With regards to vampires and chocolate: she bites one on a daily basis and has had a lifelong obsession with the other. And she's not telling which one's which.

Dante is a Domme, and he's good at providing what Sub's need. He's so good in fact, he has a thriving business where clients pay top dollar for him to provide them with special needs. His partner has a sister he's known since she was a little girl. Her name is Erica, and she's bright, full of life, love, and innocence. Little does Dante know how Erica's crush has grown to love over the years, and little does Dante know Erica witnessed him providing a service that changed her thoughts of love and being with Dante in a way he could never have dreamed.
Years later when Erica returns from Europe, now a full-grown lovely woman with long hair, athletic body, and womanly desires, Dante takes her in his home while she stays on vacation. Little does he realize how the little girl, Erica, has full-grown womanly feelings for him, and although hints of her desires catch on, Dante is bound by a friendship with her brother, and it's a bind no man can break....Or can he?
When Erica expresses a desire to enter the life Dante has built for himself as a Domme, Dante resists. Erica is determined, however, to learn more about this life as a 'sub', and if Dante won't train her, she will find someone else. The question for Dante is will he allow his friendship with her brother to get in the way of his feelings, or will he succumb to the love, passion, and raw desire he now feels for this woman who once was a little girl he looked after, only now has feelings unlike any he's felt for any other woman.
This book of erotica has more than what I expected. It has a story behind the lust and love one expects in this sort of genre. The characters are well-developed, the story is enthralling and real. It was a pleasure watching the relationships grow between each character, and their love and lust develop through the chapters. This book is not only for those who love erotica, it's for those who love romance, and the pages get hotter as you read through each chapter!

A brilliantly crafted story!
From the very beginning, the author grabs the readers attention with a heated, jaw dropping back-story scene that pulls the reader instantly in. ( SERIOUSLY JAW DROPPING MATERIAL) The complicated dynamics between the characters was quite intriguing and made for an incredible story line. Pretty much all of her life, Erica has held a burning desire to be with Dante, her brother's friend and her childhood protector. However, loyal to his friend and now partner, Dante has reluctantly refrained from making any serious advances towards his friends kid sister, even though he's secretly wanted her just as much as she has him. But a young girl no longer, Erica seeks to get what she craves, and prove to Dante just how much of a woman she has become. The heat between these two characters was enough to singe my kindle! Next, enters a dark third party character, heightening the intensity of the story. St.Clair writes in a way that is deeply alluring and keeps her audience thoroughly engaged and anticipating what could come next. I highly recommend this story and author to not only readers of erotica but all lovers of drama, an impeccably written stories. This was an easy five stars. Great work!

Wow, just wow.....I am lost for words.
This is the second instalment of the Dante's Purgatory series and again I was not disappointed.....Actually it was BRILLIANT!!
We meet Dante, part owner of Dante's Purgatory who is business partners with Chris, his best friend.
They grew up together Dante and Chris, but growing up also included a beautiful little girl, Erica, Chris's baby sister.
Dante growing up was Erica's protector, shielding her from the pain and abuse she suffered at the hands of her grandmother. He witnessed first hand the hell she went through growing up. Dante vowed that he would always be there for Erica.
But fast forward years.
Erica is no longer the little girl that Dante remembers.
She's now a beautiful woman who Dante wants.
But he can't.
She's unattainable.
After-all, she is his best friends sister.
But Erica has other ideas.
She will have Dante.
She has loved him all their lives.
She wants him like she needs air.
She wants to be his submissive.
She wants Dante to love her like she has always loved him.
But what happens when the question is asked?
What will Dante say when Erica asks this of him?
Can he resist the temptation?
Can Dante be Erica's dominant?
Who will be taken?
Who will pay the ultimate price?
And can Dante and Erica survive the hell that is about to haunt their lives?
Guys this is again another amazing read from Sayara St. Clair.
It's raw. confronting, and all things sinful, with a dark and edgy side.
It's breathtaking and heartbreaking.
It's all consuming.
It's everything any one of us could ask for in a novel and so much more.
Again an extremely rare read that delves into the dominant/submissive lifestyle.
A highly recommend this read.

Yearn For You is not my usual type of book, but I'm glad that I stepped out of my comfort zone to give it a read. For those who enjoy erotica, I dare say you won't be disappointed, but there is so much more going on here.
Whatever the setting, a story needs great characters to bring it to life, and I found Dante and Erica endlessly fascinating. They are both broken in their own way, and though they most certainly yearn, they both also seem to know that what they truly seek goes far beyond the physical. I was content enough to simply explore this complicated relationship, but then a sinister third party entered the scene to turn complicated into downright deadly, and the book became more than I'd ever expected.
It is that kind of story-telling that marks a first-rate writer, and it is the reason why it's good to occasionally go wandering beyond the comfort zone. I can't honestly say that Yearn For You made me a diehard erotica fan, but I can say with absolute certainty that it made me a fan of Sayara St. Claire.

If you're looking for a story that deep-dives into the dominant/submissive lifestyle, Sayara St Clair's novels offer one of the more exceptional options available. With the BDSM-themed marketplace crowded at best, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find stories that focus on the lifestyle as a whole. Yearn for You achieves just that. This is a raw and sometimes confronting story that shows a respectful and loving dynamic between dominant/submissive. Definitely a must-read if you love D/s reads.
