The best doesn’t come cheap…and this time it could cost him his heart.

Handsome billionaire Adam Steele is good. Good at getting his way. If nothing else, money always works—until he realizes he can’t buy his daughter’s way out of her new wheelchair. Three private physical therapists later, he’s almost given up on Emily walking again. Then he meets Dr. Jaden Monroe. And his match.

Feisty physical therapist Jaden Monroe has never met a man quite like Adam. She’s not sure if it’s his I’m-in-charge attitude or the heat in his eyes when he looks at her, but she finds herself wanting to say yes to anything he asks. Like when he asks her to help his daughter walk again. Of course, the million dollars he offers—just enough to finish the pediatric rehab wing Jaden has been working for and dreaming of—is hard to say no to as well.

But Jaden didn’t anticipate a teen whose injuries are more than physical. Or a man so passionate and devoted—and as tenacious as she is. As she and Adam fight their attraction, the only thing harder than keeping her promise will be keeping a hold on her heart.

Warning: Contains heated arguments that erupt only slightly more often than hot kissing, a new perspective on kitchen appliances, and sizzling sex occurring everywhere BUT the bedroom (though they eventually make it there).

This Samhain ebook had a distinct Harlequin Presents feel to it. If I had to re-title it, HP style, I'd title it "Bought For the Millionaire's Mission."

Moving on...

Jaden Monroe is in a bit of a funk. A well-respected physical therapist and researcher, she's stuck serving beers at a restaurant after a spectacular flame-out leaves her fired from the hospital and the pediatric rehab wing she'd worked for left unfinished after her ex-fiancé withdrew his $1m donation. When Adam Steele offers her a job working with his teenaged daughter, and a million dollars to do it, she can’t turn it down. Not only would many people benefit from that money and she be able to get back to physical therapy, but she’s intrigued by the take-charge businessman.

Adam has spent his life taking care of others. When bone cancer requires him to direct the doctors to amputate part of his daughter’s leg, he feels like a failure. His daughter Emily is now in a wheelchair, depressed and a shadow of her former self. If his zeal for Jaden to fix Emily and get her walking again borders on fanatical, I was able to excuse him. I would imagine that making the decision to amputate your daughter’s leg might cause at least a thread of guilt. Providers and caretakers give, not take away.

I really enjoyed the characters’ emotional journeys. Jaden’s afraid of repeating a past mistake of falling for a patient’s father, Adam’s coming to terms with the changing face of what it means to provide for his daughter and Emily’s learning to accept her new reality while being a normal teenager at the same time. Jaden’s relationship with Emily isn’t all sunshine and roses, and Jaden doesn’t hold back on the tough love for Adam or Emily.

Nicholas’ prose is smooth and unobtrusive and the dialog is organic sounding. The love scenes are heavy on talking and tension and low on mechanical description. If you skipped the love scenes, you’d miss a lot of character development.

This was a surprisingly well-written ebook from Erin Nicholas and I’ll definitely be on the lookout for her future titles.

I loved this story. I really enjoy how Erin Nicholas writes a story that you can really see happening in someone’s life. This story keeps your interest from start to finish.

Adam Steele is a very rich and powerful man that will do anything he can for the people he cares about, especially his daughter. But when all the money in the world will not help get her out of the wheelchair that she is in he feels like he has let Emily down. He has hired three physical therapists already, and she is still not walking. He is almost ready to believe he will never see Emily walk again. So when he finds that the best physical therapist is available, he goes after her. Adam knows that Jaden has been raising money to fund the building of a wing to be a children’s rehabilitation center, but the man who was donating one million dollars has rescinded, and the project is now, on hold. Adam offers that one million dollars to Jaden, but there is a catch; Emily has to walk within a certain amount of time or she loses the money.

Jaden Monroe is the best physical therapists in the area hospital, but after publicly insulting her ex-boyfriend and causing the hospital to lose his huge donation she finds herself unemployed. When she is approached with the fantastic offer from Adam Steele she takes him up on it. She can definitely help get Emily out of her wheelchair. When she meets Emily and finds out that she has emotional issues as well, she sets out to help her accept this major change in her life. After the failed relationship with one millionaire she has no desire to start a new one, but Adam finds a way to kiss her every chance he gets. As much as Jaden would like to see how good it could be with Adam she fights off his advances as much as possible. The one thing she did not plan on was to fall in love with the daughter and her father.

A touching story about a fourteen year old girl who lost part of her leg to cancer. Although Emily is not exactly a major character in this book, she plays a vital role as a secondary one. Her father, Adam, is a billionaire seeking to hire the best physical therapist in the area & finds Jadon working part-time in a bar after she left her very fulfilling position for personal reasons. She accepts Adam's offer to move to his estate, live in an apartment on his property and treat his daughter. He agrees to pay her one million dollars if she is able to accomplish a huge task...enable his daughter to walk again. An important note, Adam's wife/Emily's mother, left them shortly after she was born & is out of the picture and is rarely mentioned.
I loved the story, the main characters, and Emily, the daughter was a gem. I had difficulty at times with the dialogue between Adam and Jadon. Was it a bit silly, even juvenile, maybe, I can't put my finger on it. I just know that some of their conversations irked me. I also rolled my eyes near the end, the boardroom scene was quite cheesy. A very abrupt ending but overall a nice read.

I managed to finish it, but it was only through will power and not because I was invested in the story. It actually reminded me a little of the "50 shades" books in terms of character development, which is to say there wasn't much of that. There were a number of things I found annoying:

A bit more character development would have gone a long way because in the end I didn't care about any of them.

2.5 stars.

Interesting premise, but to me, it failed to engage me in the story and the characters.

I truly felt for Emily, and I was glad her journey ended well; I also felt for Jaden and wanted to kill her ass of an ex, she truly handled things as best as she could.

As for Adam, I just didn't like him very much. I'm glad we got inside his head and could understand him a bit more, but I still found that I didn't like him. As for Jaden and Adam, I didn't like them together, I just could never connect with them as a couple. I truly didn't get why they were together. Some things felt pretty fast, and others I couldn't get.

It just failed for me.

Erin Nicholas is such a witty author/writer! My first read of hers was the Sapphire Falls Series, and it was a laughing riot all the way. Am I glad, I’ve come across her books and the ever-interesting stories she weaves, and she has become one of my go to writers/authors from her very first book I read.

“No Matter What” is the first in her Billionaire Bargain Series and is a republished work, which is great for me, as I haven’t read it until now. Billionaire Adam Steele is on the lookout for a physical therapist and he wants the best. And gets the best. And he wants and gets Dr. Jaden Monroe for his daughter, little realizing that his heart is in danger of a takeover.

Dr. Jaden Monroe quits her job as one of the top physical therapists and is working in a bar, helping a friend. She eyes the handsome billionaire Steele with instant attraction even before the introductions and his need to hire her services for his daughter. With an offer of a million dollars on the table and a chance to fulfill her dream of completing the pediatric rehab wing at the hospital, she has been working so hard for, Jaden is in jeopardy of losing her heart and soul to the sinfully handsome and protective dad.

“No Matter What” is just not another romantic story. It is a story of a father who would move heaven and earth to protect his daughter. It is a heartwarming narration of a dad standing in the sidelines, worrying and frustrated for not guarding his daughter from pain and loss. And it is the story of an insecure father of a teenager, trying to accept his daughter’s strength and courage, laughter and joy, changes and adjustment, with the usual feelings of indulgence, jealousy and love.

Jaden is an amazingly strong person, tuned to the needs of her patients, sympathetic yet motivating, a task master yet caring, and a friend yet not losing sight of the goals of her patients. With her sassy and don’t care attitude, she gives Adam many a sleepless night and she is not spared either. With passion crackling and love simmering, Adam and Jaden have to find that middle ground to build a future with trust and support.

A charming and enjoyable read all the way through the end, and I can’t wait for Erin Nicholas to bring the next billionaire to his knees.

Adam Steel always prided himself as someone who never took no for an answer. His money has always enabled him to buy him whatever he wanted out of life. The day he discovered his daughter Emily had bone cancer he found his money was useless for he was unable to "buy" a cure. He was faced with the difficult decision to agree to have a portion of her leg amputated to keep the cancer from spreading.

Adam's heart breaks each time he sees the after effects of his daughter's surgery. He promises her he would hire the best physical therapists to help her learn to walk using a prosthesis. After three failed attempts he blames himself for his daughter still being trapped in a wheelchair.

Adam puts his last hope in Emily's recovery in Dr. Jaden Monroe's hands. She is known as one of the best pediatric therapists in the country. He offers her a million dollars if she is successful in rehabilitating Emily.

Jaden trusted in the wrong man to help her gain the funds she needed to build a new rehabilitation wing for the hospital. When he withdrew the money needed to finish the wing she overreacted and was fired from her job. When Adam approaches her with his offer to work with his daughter she sees it as the solution she needs to be able to complete the rehabilitation wing and restore her name.

Upon meeting Emily, Jaden knows she will have to tear down the invisible walls she has built around herself. Emily is convinced her life will never be the same again and it is up to Jaden to persuade her otherwise. Jaden did not anticipate the strong attraction she feels for Adam. She is worried that history is about to repeat itself if she trusts in another man who is funding a project she believes in. If she gives Adam her heart will he end up breaking it?

No Matter What is an exceptional romance! Through this one book I learned the name Erin Nicholas is one that I want to keep my eyes out for future works. This book offers all the elements that would automatically earn it a place on my keeper's shelf. It is one that I would highly recommend to anyone who seeks a heartwarming story that will long be remembered once it is finished.

No matter what

Is a beautiful novel. You really learned something about life. It teaches you how to rise in life after a storm. It will actually show how love actually is, how much a parent is willing to do for their children. How a person so into her work and how passionate, she is willing to do everything for what she believe in. The passion between the 2 main character is really evident, from the 1st meeting until the end. How nothing else matter as long as they can be together. And how love can truly change a persons point of view about life, love, work and everything else.

The novel teaches you to believe in everything and everyone around you, if all things fail.

Read it. You'll love it.

This is the first book that I have read by Erin Nicholas and I doubt that it will be the last. Billionaire Adam Steel needs to hire the best physical therapy money can buy to get his only child walking again. Jaden, desperately needing the promised million dollars, agrees to the challenge to get her walking in time for the school play. Despite the instant attraction to Adam, Jaden continually rebuffs Adam's romantic advances. But with each argument and each advance (almost always in the kitchen), Jaden's resolve weakens. This contemporary romance while somewhat predictable was an enjoyable read with likable characters. I will definitely be on the lookout for more by this author.

I was disappointed after reading Anything You Want by Erin Nicholas. I absolutely loved that book and was hoping that this would pull me in as quickly as the other. Unfortunately, I just didn't find the characters as believable as most of the other reviewers did. Maybe I wasn't in "my romance zone" when reading it (you know, that glass of wine, and surrendering yourself to the story kind-of-zone). The interesting thing is that the premise was interesting, and there were some genuine moments in the story, but I think I had a hard time feeling the chemistry between the main characters.

Seriously my favorite Erin Nicholas book. Read it in one sitting. Jaden and Adam fight their attraction to each other, but as with almost all HEA romances, the love must prevail! Jaden is so in tune with the kids she works with. She's a no nonsense but caring individual and I LOVE HER! Adam is the same in business and with the love of his daughter. READ THIS BOOK! Seriously!

So good. I LOVE ADAM. My favorite new book boyfriend! READ THIS BOOK! (I'm being repetitive but it is that good)

I love Adam Steele! Seriously, I love him! You always hear about single Moms raising their children but it is rare to hear about a single Dad. Adam has raised his daughter Emily by himself for 14 years. When she gets cancer and her leg has to be amputated, she needs therapy to learn to walk with a prosthesis. Enter Jaden Monroe, the best physical therapist money can buy. Adam and Jaden have some serious chemistry right from the start. I liked how their relationship developed and also how Jaden loves Emily. You just can't go wrong with a novel by Erin Nicholas!

I started this book last night (2/20) and could not put it down. I did try at one point but made the mistake of reading the first line of the next chapter and had to keep going. I finished up at 2:20 am this morning (2/21).

I really did enjoy the story and the characters. It was believable and fun and emotional.

Oh my! There is nothing sexier than a man totally donated to his child. I loved watching this family get to the HEA that they deserved. Adam is an amazing father with genuine caring and love for those important in his life. I loved that Jaden didn't let him push his way around. They are a perfect match! I can't wait to see what lies ahead in their future as I get the rest of this series.

A heartwarming story

Jaden is a children's physical therapist and is working in a bar when she meets Adam. Adam is a billionaire and wants to hire Jaden to help his daughter walk again. He offers her a million dollars, just the amount she needs to help get the physical therapy wing of the hospital finished built.
Adam is controlling and wants his daughter walking soon so she can be in the school play. At first Emily is stubborn but Jaden does not give up. But the sparks between Adam and Jaden are enough to set them ablaze.
Jaden is attracted to him but is scared of having her heart broke. Adam will do anything to get her in his bed. She is the one person who has ever stood up to him and told him like she sees it.
Lots of laughs. Sex. And a lonely man who finds the perfect woman but will he blow it by being his bossy self?

Better than expected

I often have trouble with contemporary romances because the plots are shallow, the characters silly and graphic sex scenes dominate. 'No Matter What' does a credible job of character development within a reasonably believable plot.

I liked the main characters of Jaden and Adam. Jaden is physical therapist hired to rehabilitate Adam's daughter Emily after the loss of her leg to cancer. Adam is a text book overprotective Dad and Jaden is self assured enough to push back against that in Emily's best interest. Without giving any thing away, just know that Jaden's push back is as good for Adam as it is for Emily. I like a book that portrays adults in realistic ways and this book does that. That said, however, there were times that I felt like some things were too easily resolved.

Bottom line: This is a pleasant afternoon's read.

Billionaire meets physical therapist. 2.5*

Adam Steele is a billionaire who's daughter is wheelchair bound. Having gone through 3 other physical therapists he's determined to get Dr. Jaden Monroe...the best!
Jaden agrees to Emily's ,(the daughter), rehabilitation for a million dollars. The money she's short of for finishing a new wing building project in a children's rehab hospital.
This book was loosely based around physical therapy and rehabilitation but the main focus was the H/h growing attraction and feelings towards each other. There's a few sex scenes but I wasn't really 'feeling' it.
Considering the subject there was humour. The characters had their moments but overall the plot was weak. There was a lot of, 'No way!' and 'Never gonna happen!', points, and the obvious hea ending.
Alright if you like unrealistic and mushy. 2.5*

No Matter What by Erin Nicholas is a great read. This is a fairly short read, perfect for those with limited time for reading. Ms Nicholas has delivered a well-written book and filled it with amazing, lovable characters. Adam and Jaden's story is loaded with drama, humor and sizzle. This fun read kept me glued to the kindle from page one until the end. I totally enjoyed reading No Matter What and look forward to reading more from Erin Nicholas in the future. No Matter What is book 1 of The Billionaire Bargains Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I loved the complex characters in this story. The Billionaire was hot, brilliant, stubborn and vulnerable. There were times when he opened his mouth and I wanted to slap him, but realized that the character was not a character, he was a person. People are complicated. The heroine is someone I want to go and have coffee with. Her strength and self awareness, as well as her ability to recognize and own her own pain was humbling. I want to have her as my friend, heck I want to be a friend like that. I love how this family comes together. I can't wait to read the other books in the series. I think I just found a new favorite author!
