[image error] When i grabbed this book, i had no idea that it was a historical romance. I had read other novels by Vanessa Vale, contemporary menage romances that describes a town that is based on one woman and multiple men marriages. A new concept that picked my interest and i absolutely loved it. So obviously, when i found out that she was coming out with a new book with the same style, i had to jump on it and find out what it was all about. The relationship between Maddie, Jackson and Seth was an interesting one - Maddie has been given the nickname of the Black Widow after having robbed a few banks belonging to the same man and Jackson and Seth are US Marshals hired to track her down and bring her to justice.
Seeing as how i don't usually read western historicals, i didn't connect with the characters as much as i did when i read Ride Me Dirty, even if the premise of both books were similar. Maybe it's the setting that was the deciding factor, but needless to say that it doesn't change the fact that i still enjoyed Flirting With The Law. I can't wait to find out what else Vanessa Vale has in store for her readers and i'll be looking forward to reading her next books, that's for sure!
Norman Rollins is what you would call and evil man and banker. Maddie’s father refuses to sell to him and Norman forecloses and burns it to the ground. He thens goes and does the same thing to some other families in the area.
Maddie is robbing banks to get the money up that is owed to Norman. She has help from two other women who have also lost their homes.
Before the next robbery can go down Maddie runs into U S Marshall’s, Seth Bane, and Landon Cooper who ironically are best friends. Maddie marries the men but what is going to happen when they find out what she is up to?
This books was great and I am waiting to see what the other women’s stories will be like.
There is explicit M-F-M scenes, mild bondage, spanking, oral and anal sex.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
As a huge fan of Ms. Vanessa Vale’s books, this new series of Outlaw Brides is sure to be another winner. The daring and charming Maddie Thomas, along with her two friends, Tess and Amanda, aren’t hardened criminals, just three women seeking monetary restitution stolen from their families by an evil banker, Norman Rollins. The ladies only want what was taken from their fathers, no more, no less.
Maddie Thomas lost her mother when she was young, raised by her father, then married at nineteen to only be widowed a few months later when Orville succumbed to the flu. She returned to her father and their ranch to watch a greedy banker change the terms of the loan when her father refused to sell to him. Foreclosing on them and then burning their home to the ground wasn’t enough; he does it to other families in the area too. “I was no longer a wife. I was no longer a daughter. I was an outlaw.”
U S Marshalls, Seth Bane, and Landon Cooper are best friends, have a ranch together, and are looking for the perfect woman to share between them as their wife. They are tired of chasing criminals, and when they find her, they are hanging up their stars. What a shock when they overhear a conversation and learn Maddie can’t obtain a room because the hotel is full, it’s only gentlemanly for one to give up his room to this charming lady. A look exchanged between men, the kindness of a room to dinner to a proposal and night of unbridled passion will be the beginning of this trio. “Intriguing. Exciting. Arousing.” “I’m afraid of what you make me feel.”
The plot will have the three women making another bank robbery but discovering they are still short the funds owed to them by Rollins, so planning one final robbery and then putting their criminal days behind them. Maddie meeting Seth and Landon will change her life forever. She may be a widow, but she is naïve in the carnal activities that Seth and Landon have introduced her to. A night of discovery, new beginnings, and then marriage comes with several unexpected surprises. “I’d be content with average no longer.” What will happen if or when her husbands learn of her criminal history? “I was still an outlaw. I was everything they fought against. The very basis of their job was to bring criminals like me to justice. They wanted me to marry them.” Will her past catch up with her and what will happen? “Have something you want to tell us, sweetheart?”
The story is a great beginning to a new series and is a historical erotic ménage western. The scenes are sizzling hot and full of unbridled passion, explicit with M-F-M scenes, mild bondage, spanking, oral and anal sex. The best part, it is a SERIES, and I look forward to the next book.
This story is about a woman named Maddie who is a widow and has lost everything. She lost her home and her father when a greedy bank owner raises their mortgage and burns their house to the ground when they refuse to sell. She has resorted to becoming an outlaw. She is robbing banks to get back the money she's due after her home goes up in flames. She has the help of two other women who have also lost their homes to this greedy bank owner. Maddie is ready for her last bank robbery but things don't always go according to plan and she's forced to do another robbery. Before that happens she meets two very handsome men named Seth and Landon. These two men have been searching for a wife and Maddie is the one. When she can't get a room at the hotel in which they are staying Landon offers his. With no other choice but to accept Maddie joins the two men for dinner. Sexual tension is high during the meal and the men make very bold suggestions and demonstrate that they are interested in Maddie carnally. Being a widow Maddie has the option to accept their proposition and she does. After a hot night of sex in ways she could have never imagined she wakes up to find out that Seth and Landon are US marshals. Somehow she ends marrying the two men but then she must hide the crimes that she's committed.
This was a great book! I love all of Vanessa books she writes really hot M/f/M and I love her characters. Maddie is feisty and I liked that she wasn't a virgin but was still innocent. She thinks she's doing the right thing by robbing banks to get hers and her friend's money back that was stolen from them but she knows she's breaking the law so after she finds out the Seth and Landon are US Marshals and marries them she worries about them finding out about her crimes and turning her in. But of course as all of the men in Vale's books they are willing to hear her out and help her with the situation in which she is in. The sex like always is hot hot! I liked that this still had the same feel as her other series but I found the sex was a little rougher I guess you could which had it's appeal. I'm really excited to see what stories Maddie's two friends will have. Will they be outlaws simply because they helped Maddie rob banks or will they get into other trouble in their own books? I'm excited to see the continuation of this new series.
Let me start by admitting to being a Vanessa Vale fan, so when I heard that she was starting a new Outlaw Brides series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and was lucky enough to voluntarily read an advance reader copy in one sitting last night, and I give it 4 stars.
Flirting With The Law has one gutsy heroine, Maddie Thomas, who, along with her two friends, Amanda and Tess, have been holding up banks in Montana territory, specifically one chain of them, the Rollins Banks. They aren't doing it out of greed, they're doing it for retribution. Norman Rollins, the greedy and deceitful owner of these banks, at first offered to buy the property their families owned, and, when they refused to sell, he increased the monthly payment amount on the loans his bank held. When they couldn't pay the higher amount, he seized their homes and property, and in the case of Maddy's home, kicked them off their land and burned down the family home and everything in it. This devastating loss is what killed her father, left her penniless, alone and homeless and she wants payback, but she and her friends are only going to steal the specific amount of money that Mr. Rollins initially offered for their family land. She's quite the honorable bank robber, and, because no one would suspect that 3 women would enter into lives of crime, as the novel opens, they're about to commit their third bank robbery. Amanda and Tess are there simply as a way to distract anyone in or about to enter the bank, while the older and angrier, Maddy is the one who actually commits the robbery, feeling that as a widow with no family and no prospects (she lost her 19-year-old husband of only a few months to the flu many years before), so that if she's caught, there's no one to be hurt or scandalized. Her younger cohorts might still have a chance to find husbands and raise families of their own someday.
They've almost succeeded in getting all their money back, and only have one more Rollins Bank to rob, in Helena, Montana. Maddy goes on ahead, and when she arrives at the hotel there, she's told that there are no more rooms available. Overhearing her plight, two devastatingly handsome men, Seth Bane and Landon Cooper, are just heading out for dinner, and offer her one of their two rooms because they're gentlemen, and also because at the instant they first spot her, they know she was meant to be their wife. They offer to take her out to dinner, and once seated in the restaurant, they slowly check to make sure she's available and they state that they want her for their wife--quite a shocking revelation, but eventually Maddy accepts what she thinks might be quite a one-night stand experience, and when they return to her room, it proves to be just that. Like Ms. Vale's other novels, this is a M/F/M menage read and intended for the 18+ reader.
What Maddy learns the next morning, as Seth and Landon are getting dressed after a night of total debauchery, is that her men are in Helena on a new case--they're U.S. Marshalls, and even they don't yet know that their assignment is going to have them looking for a female bank robber, who's been dubbed The Black Widow. When they start to take Maddy to the sheriff's office, she's terrified that they're onto her, but no, they're taking her there because the sheriff is a justice of the peace, and they marry her before heading off to their meeting. Maddy has told them that she's meeting a friend for lunch and that she'll see them back at the hotel after their meeting. While Seth and Landon are off getting their new assignment, Maddy and her two friends meet up, rob their last bank, and hope to get away scott-free, and Maddy is guilt-ridden because she's lied to her men, and terrified about what they'll do if they find out just who they've married.
This is a well-plotted and explicit historical romance. Maddy is an extremely likable and feisty character and Ms. Vale let's us get to know her feelings and her motives quite well. My only complaint is that we are never given much backstory on Seth and Landon. Unlike Ms. Vale's earlier Bridgewater series, Seth and Landon are not related to one another. How did they meet? How did they learn that they were both into menage? Where did they come from? And, once again, there's the issue of insta-love versus insta-lust. Giving her male characters some depth and history would have most definitely enriched this story, and made their one-second decision to marry a woman they didn't know much more understandable.
All in all, this was a quick, extremely erotic and interesting short novel, and it's my hope that the next books in this series will offer the reader a bit in the way of character development.
What a girl to do when she and her family have been wronged?
Take matters into her own hands of course.
Maddie never thought she'd become an outlaw, but that is exactly what she has become. She's not out to hurt anyone, just out to get what she's due. But just as she's set to collect the last she's owed, her luck may be running out.
Landon and Seth are ready to settle down, but with their job as Marshalls is demanding and they've yet to find that one special woman to share their life. All that changes when the spot a woman that take their breath away.
Just as these three connect and commit to each other, Maddie's outlaw past is about to come to light. What will Landon and Seth do when they learn the truth since they've just been hired to finding the Black Widow? Will they turn her in? Will she run or stay and face the music? Or will Landon and Seth do everything they can to keep Maddie safe and nestled between them?
Vanessa brings up a new exciting MFM series you've come to love and expect from her.
The dynamic between the three is hot, hot, hot. They get hot and heavy right from the start and just seem to get hotter as the story develops. I adore how Landon and Seth open Maddie's eyes to the pleasure she's only dreamed about.
Maddie is a stunning creature, going after what she believes is owed to her and doesn't let anyone get in her way. She's a feisty, witty, compassionate, smart woman that's isn't a afraid to stand up for what it right.
Flirting With The Law is fun, sultry, quick, gripping read that you'll want to read from cover to cover in one sitting. I enjoyed this erotic MFM ménage and can't wait to read the read of the series.
When someone asks me for ménage romance recommendations this author always comes to mind. Her stories are hot, H-O-T sizzling hot, with strong, likable characters who know what they want. Oh yes, they do…
“Men might rule the world, but women have them by the balls.”
Maddie is an outlaw but a more likeable one I don’t think there could be. There are reasons for the things she does and, while against the law, I can’t help but silently (and not so silently) cheer her on in her quest for justice. For what is right rather than legal. When Jackson and Seth enter the fray, secrets are going to be key to what these three possible lovers must overcome…
“I’m afraid of what you make me feel.”
My heart can’t help flutter along with Maddie’s as her two beaus lay their plan, their hopes and dreams, at her feet. So many reasons to say no but some things are worth the risk. With trust at the top of the list. Are Jackson and Seth all things delicious? Is Maddie up for the challenge of not one but two lovers? A resounding yes all the way around as their unorthodox relationship is going to challenge them as well as the time they live in. But the heat, the chemistry, the feelings that are honest and heartfelt, makes the agonising, the tooth-gnashing, the hurdles they have to go through, all worth it.
Hop on board for an action-packed, sexy, whirlwind ride. Yeehaw!

A western historical, the plot here centers around Maddie's attempt to get justice for herself and her friends by stealing from the man who stole from them, and what happens when the two hot men who intend to claim her as their own turn out to be US Marshals who have been hired to stop her.
I thoroughly enjoyed these characters and the premise; Maddie was smart, strong and independent but still vulnerable, while Landon and Seth were sexy and determined and the heat between the three of them practically had my kindle fire living up to its name! This is a relatively short book however, so there wasn't as much character background as I would have liked and the condensed timeline meant I had some trouble buying that a well brought up lady would so easily and quickly move into a relationship with two men (especially given her only prior sexual experience was a brief marriage several years prior). Once I moved past that, though, the tension in the set-up kept me engaged in the plot, and I was cheering for Maddie to get both justice and a HEA with her hot men.
If you're looking for a quick, very hot escape from reality, look no further. 4 fiery stars
Having read and enjoyed so many of Vanessa Vale's books I was excited to see she was starting another historical menage series. In this latest one, Maddie is forced from her home by an unscrupulous banker, losing not only her home but also her father. In an effort to regain what she has lost, Maddie sets out to steal back the exact amount of money she feels she is owed by Rollins. She, along with two other victims (presumably the focus of later books), rob four banks without getting caught. However, on the evening before the fourth robbery, Maddie meets two men who decide she is the "One." Little does Maddie know, these two men that she has agreed to marry are US marshals. Marshals sent to find the bank robber known as the Black Widow. Once again, Vanessa Vale has created a steamy M/f/M historical with likeable characters that you can't help but want to find their own HEA. Maddie is a strong female lead that doesn't bind submitting to her men but can handle herself outside the bedroom. A great start to a new series. I VOLUNTARILY REVIEWED AN ADVANCE READER COPY OF THIS BOOK.
Flirting with the Law is the first book in Vanessa Vale’s Outlaw Brides series. In this historical western polyamorous romance, Ms. Vale introduces her readers to the romantic journey of Maddison Thomas, Landon Cooper and Seth Bane. Theirs is opposites attract relationship. She is a bank robber determined to seek justice for wrongs casted on her and two female friends by the antagonist Norman Rollins, a corrupt banker. Landon and Seth are U.S. Marshals hired to do one last job—find the Black Widow bank robber. Destiny brings Maddison, Landon and Seth together in Helena, the day prior to the Helena bank robbery. Will Maddison get away with her last robbery? What about her girlfriends? What happens when she finds out the two men she falls in love with are U.S. Marshalls? What happens when Landon and Seth find out their woman is the Black Widow? You must read this book to find out. Once again, Ms. Vale does an outstanding job with this western historical romance. As usual I found this one is also well-written. Characters are multi-dimensional. Dialog, both conversational and internal monologues, are rich. Descriptive scenes paint vivid scenes captivating the reader’s attention.
You will love read about the Black Widow known as Maddie out for revenge. Landon and Seth are the U.S. Marshals sent to get her. Vanessa uses strong characters and great story lines in her work. I could put it down till it was read front to back. Maddie is not afraid to take risk to get things done. She has set out to get her revenge and money back for her and her friends families. Landon and Seth know she is meant to be theirs once they lay eyes on her. Will Maddie and her younger cohorts make the banker Mr. Rollins pay for what he has done to them and their families? Will Landon and Seth be able to convince Maddie that she is mad for them? I voluntarily read the advanced readers copy for my honest review. you will love this just as much as Vanessa's other work. I so can't wait to read more of this series.
Another great book from Vanessa Vale. I love her ménage stories. Maddie is a young widow whose father died shortly after the local banker stole their ranch and burned everything. In order to get even she sets out to rob the banker of the amount of money he offered to buy the ranch when her father turned him down. She also helped other families who had their land stolen by the same rancher. When she meets two men in Helena who are smitten with her right away and decide they want to marry her, she doesn’t realize they are US Marshalls. Read the book to find out exactly what happens You will enjoy it very much. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily writing a review because it's such a terrific book.
ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! I liked the premises of the story A female bank robber. Also, she did not need to use violence to accomplish the robberies. While waiting for the cohorts, she meets Jackson + Seth. She does not know that they are US Marshals. The attraction is instantaneous for them. Maddie did not want to be a "criminal," but circumstances forced her hand. Now, she just want to do this last job + retire. She wants to have a family. Jackson + Seth are in total agreement w/ that plan. They believed in Maddie. Great ending!
Wonderful start to a new series, hot historical romance M/F/M book by Vanessa Vale. Maddie and two friends decide to take back what was stolen from them by a crooked banker, and robbing his banks is their solution. As fate has a way of messing with your plans, Maddie meets to two huge and handsome men Seth and Landon which are captivated by her and are hell-bent on making her theirs. As US Marshall’s Seth and Landon are on their way to meet the banker and capture the robber who’s been holding up his banks. Enjoy the twists and turns of their relationship.

Another new delightfully sinful series from Vanessa Vale.
Flirting with the law is not what I expected but it's so much more, It was very well written and done with a flare I know and love from the author.
Maddie is just a normal lady with an axe to grind with a certain ruthless unscrupulous man and grind she does but in such a way which will make you smile just as she did. ( sorry no spoilers )
Then she meets Landon and Seth.... yum two handsome as sin men with one thing on their mind making Maddie there's for good.
Flirting With The Law by Vanessa Vale is the first in her new Outlaw Brides Historical Series.
Maddie's life was turned upside down by an evil banker who stole her father's land, leading to his death. But hers wasn't the only life uprooted, two other young woman's families were devastated as well. So Maddie plots revenge in the best, most fitting way possibble.
Until the fourth city, the fourth bank. She encounters Seth and Landon. And everything changes.
I love these steamy hot stories Ms. Vale weaves for us. Absolute must reads.
As a die hard fan of Vanessa Vale books, I love pretty much everything she writes. However, this one takes the Wild West in a slightly different direction and it was awesome too!
Love seeing the 'Outlaw' woman and just how things unfolded with her and her law men!! Hotness, a bit of mystery and romance too. Plus a menage! What's not to love? Can't wait for the next in this series - perhaps we'll see the 'Black Widow's' accomplices??!
Safe read. Recommend!

Vanessa Vale did not disappoint this reader with Flirting with the Law. It had the hot steamy sex that I have come to expect from Vanessa; two dominating men who want the same woman and plan on taking her together and a submissive woman in the bedroom but take no crap from the men out of bed.
If you are looking for a evening read, with steamy sex and you enjoy a menage romance, I recommend you pick up a copy of Flirting with the Law discover why Vanessa Vale has become one of this reader’s go to menage romance author.

This is a fun, sexy read. I loved the characters and the story line and it is an enjoyable read if you can suspend your sense of realty because the story is set in the Wild West, but the sexy wicked play seems like modern times. Still, a good entertaining read. Disclosure: I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC of this book.
I loved it! This steamy ménage read is a great start to a new series. Maddie is an outlaw known as the Blank Widow and out for revenge. Landon and Seth are US Marshals out to bring down the Blank Widow, the only problem is they fall in love with her. I was hooked from beginning to end, can’t wait for more in the series.
This is book one in the Outlaw Brides series and it features bank robber Madison Thomas and US Marshals Seth Bane and Landon Cooper. Talk about a complicated situation! A pretty bank robber and two handsome US Marshals? Lucky bank robber.
Great story line! Fantastic series opener! Looking forward to the next one.
What a story Maddie has an interesting gig going on but when she runs into two men and the offer her an interesting deal she has to except. Next thing she knows she is married tow two men and they are looking for her and don't realize it. This was a great story and it told a story of defeat payback and having it all.

Vanessa Vale's "Flirting With The Law" is the first tale in the new Outlaw Brides series. Another great historical menage series starts here! Seth & Landon are tasty marshalls. Maddie is a fiesty gal bent on justice. Great stuff! Hot sexy scenes as always. I can't wait to see where Vanessa Vale takes this series next!
Wow I love how Ms. Vale turns a typical story upside down and makes it new. This new series is shaping up to be just as good as her other ones. I really liked how Maddie refused to allow herself to be a victim. This is one hot western with two sexy US Marshall’s and one strong outlaw.
Maddie is trying to right a wrong by robbing banks. Our two marshals are called in to mab her. This was a great read but I'd like to have known more on Maddie's two friends....still a great read!
A smoking hot beginning to a wonderful new series! I always know what to expect from this author and I was not disappointed. Smoking HOT and I can't wait for book two!
