As you might suspect, Sandy Pants is a pen name. I wanted something easy for people to remember,so permit me to hide in my pants for awhile. Also, the opening event in "Revenge for the Dogs" is based on something that actually happened to me and the bad guy is still around.
I was a "teen reporter" for my town's newspaper for a couple of years in high school. That was when my need for the truth began to battle with my desire to entertain. After all, like time, the truth is relative. I present alternative realities in my books and seem to expect the reader to accept them as the truth. That's just me trying to pull one over on my audience. I don't take myself all that seriously. If I can make people laugh, think a little and turn the page, my work here is done.
For the statistically minded, I left Western Michigan University with degrees in Psychology and English. Having decided to live out in the wilds of Chicora, I became a rural mail carrier, doing this for over 25 years.
Now, retired, I live on a lake where I spend my time avoiding chores by reading, writing and just sitting there thinking. The only responsibility I have is keeping the feral cats housed and fed.
Readers are invited to also visit my Facebook page, (Sandy Pants @ the weird world of sandy pants.) I look forward to your comments and ideas. Funny stories are more than welcome. Let's talk.

From the author of “Revenge for the Dogs,” this adventure - involving yet another intrepid rural mail route carrier - takes us back to western Michigan for a story involving a cheating rose grower and a family of diabolical genetic engineers. This well-written original story takes you on a ride that will leave you laughing, cringing, and avoiding those tempting back roads for quite a while.
