They say size doesn’t matter...

Football star and internet sensation Gavin “Anaconda” Adams is the biggest celebrity our little town has ever seen.

But I had no idea who he was when I accidentally walked in on him naked.

I was shocked, seeing all of him, a cocky grin on his face. I didn’t know what to do.

So I ran.

Now I’m in a world of trouble. No matter what I do, I can’t get that image out of my head. His strong muscular thighs. His washboard abs. His big, throbbing, toe-curling… Jesus!

To make matters worse, Gavin wants a date with me. He’s seen the lust in my eyes, and he’s not taking no for an answer. I should tell him to get lost. He’s nothing but trouble, and he’s only here for a week.

But with one look, I go weak in the knees. And whenever I hear his deep, rich voice, I feel my defenses crumbling.

It’s only one night. What could it hurt?

Anaconda is a full-length Sexy Romantic Comedy with an HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger!

This is one of the worst titles I've read this year...

This book has two obnoxious protagonists:

A heroine who is dumb to a fault and overreacts for no apparent reason and takes things out of context just for the sake of the weak plot.

And a hero who tries the whole "dark, troubled and brooding while being famous and adored" thing, but just comes off as a grumpy and annoying character for 95 percent of this book...

And anyone who knows me knows that I'm never down with any type of slut-shaming. Whatsoever...

That's why my hate-meter went up for this heroine when she literally, upon first viewing, classified another character as a whore, JUST BECAUSE that character was standing next to the hero.

I find this pathetic and disgusting in real life when real women do it and I hate it just as much in books.

I don't care if it's an antagonist we're slut-shaming, all I know is that it hurts ALL WOMEN.

So authors are gonna have to find new tactics to get readers to dislike a character other than having their heroine call people bimbos or whores or slut.

It's just cheap and hurtful... To the readers.

Also, with a cover and title like that, one would expect at least some impressive and sinful scenes to make up for it, if the rest of the book happens to lack in something else, but the sex scenes are so cringy, especially since the two characters don't seem to know what they are doing, have no chemistry whatsoever and suffer from a lame type of insta-love.

With such an accent put around the hero's giant member, you'd think he would be a novelty in bed. But nope. It was so mediocre, I gritted my teeth several times, craving something better.

Proceed with caution...

Title: ➜Anaconda

➦Gavin “Anaconda” Adams is Football star & internet sensation.. Few years ago Gavin earned his nickname by accident & no matter what he does he can’t not live it down…So when his agent gets him an acting gig in the offseason, he takes it in the hopes of rebuilding his image.

➦Brianna is going to college to be a Business Management, And works at a hotel to make end meat.. Brianna has been on her own for years since her parents got divorced & moved out of town

As you can imagine the “big “surprise that Brianna received when she goes into the penthouse to clean it before the guess was schedule to arrive, when she finds out why people call Gavin “Anaconda” Adams

This book is well written & has a sweet & sexy vibe throughout. At times I found that Mindy jokes were rude & nasty , but other than that I really enjoy this book

SPOILERISH SPOILERISH
Through my fault, through my mostly naive fault lol
I got caught by the cover and the blurb. And the way the author promoted the book. Stupid me.
One of the things that makes my skin crawl, one of my biggest pet peeves is stupid, weak, dumb, lacking in intelligence and lacking of common sense heroine. This one here takes stupidity to another level. Besides being one of those who suddenly loses capacity of walking and talking in the presence of the male, you can only assuming that thinking is something she won't be able to do either. Please authors, get real and give us, women, some credit. We deserve some respect. Don't treat us like brainless creatures just because a handsome hot man showed us some attention.
And to add insult to injury, this girl just assumes things all the effing time about the hero because of magazine gossip. Get the guy the benefit of a doubt. She's always assuming. When they're talking, she already knows what he's thinking even if he doesn't voice his thoughts. And when he says something, she's absolutely sure it wasn't exactly what he meant to say. I was like; What the F! We have here a mind reader, a clairvoyant. And a pessimist one. Geezz.. what a tool. The last straw that made me abandon this book was when she saw his "beautiful hot coworker - a hot blonde actress- leaving his room giving him a kiss on the cheek and she ASSUMED he fu#%^d the woman. She went straight to her bff, you know, the cliche one who tries too hard to be funny but is just inconvenient and obnoxious, and h tells her that the woman was all over him and that her instincts were right since the beginning. That he only wanted to have fun with her. This is a woman about to graduate college, folks. In what brain, I don't know.
A little secret though: he never ever promised her anything. She knows they were spending some time together and she knew the deal. He was in her town for work and he was going to leave in a few days. She also wanted to be with him, knowing exactly that. It was only a good time. And he never gave her any indication he was playing with her in the time they were together. He was actually being sincere and giving her attention. She was acting like a lunatic. Always crying and angry. The way the girl was acting, one would thing the guy was her husband of 10 years. She had no right to judge and assuming things. And so far, he owns her nothing. And so far he didn't give her any reason to doubt him. And the woman leaving her room was his leading actress. Her being in his room could be for zillion reasons. She could wait and ask. But nope, why act normal if you could go for the childish dramatic and going running and crying to her bff affirming he was (in having sex aspect) with another woman. She didn't even tell her friend who the woman was. Maybe if the bff had this info, in a last straw of hope, she could talk some sense into the heroine that maybe it wasn't what she was assuming and that she should ask first and act after.
I had to stop reading, because I was afraid to be dragged to the same level of stupidity.

So did he really have an Anaconda???

Well, yes. Yes he did. However, I'm happy to report that this story was about more than what was swinging in the man's pants.

Gavin Adams was a pro NFL athlete when an accidental flashing made him famous in an entirely different way, earning him the nickname of "Anaconda". A name he hated and was eager to distance himself from. When he was offered a role in a movie, he took it in hopes of repairing his image. Brianna was the maid at the hotel where he was staying on location. Pursuing a degree in Business Management, Brianna dreamed of doing better for herself and contributing to the small town she called home.

This was my first time dabbling in the work of Lauren Landish, but it definitely won't be my last. I found this story to be well-written, sweet, funny, and incredibly sexy. I did mention that Gavin was packing, right?

He had no shame in his game, but he had a lot more to offer as a person and didn't hesitate to give his all to Brianna.

Football star Gavin Adams is trying out a little acting in his off season in the hope it will improve his playboy image and to get away from his nickname Anaconda that he acquired during a filmed slip up that showed the world his junk. While he's filming he is staying at a local hotel where Brianna is working her way through business college as a maid, when Brianna accidentally walks in on a naked Gavin in his room one morning sparks fly between them and she gets to experience the anaconda first hand. This was quite a painful read as I should have realized by the immature title, the story line was a typical rich pro footballer meets poor maid and sweeps her off her feet which would have been alright if it wasn't so boring. The sex was mediocre, and the characters were so boring and depressing. Others might like this book but unfortunately this was not for me.

This book was such a fun, light hearted read. It had plenty of steamy moments but, it was also had some great one liners that you can't help but laugh at.

Football star Gavin is in a small town for a week during the off season trying his hand at acting. Gavin's notoriety doesn't just end on the football field due to a leaked video from the locker room he's more known for his "anaconda" then his football skills. When hotel maid Brianna accidentally walks into his room while he's getting out of the shower Brianna learns how well his name suits him and runs away. Gavin hated being in this small town till he sees Brianna and instantly want her.

Brianna and Gavin are total opposites with different priorities but, they can't deny there need for each other. So they both try to push out there minds the fact that he's there only for the week then it's back to reality for both of them.

As much as I liked the h&h the star of this book for me was Mindy, Brianna's bff. She was hilarious and I wanted so much more of her.

The super hot cover and the blurb made me pick up this book. A sexy romantic comedy? Count me in. Always.

Sadly, except for Mindy and her inappropriate sense of humor, I wouldn't put this book in the comedy category. And to be honest, the romance part didn't convince me either, I even found myself skipping paragraphs every now and then. So it was just okay for me, but it may be more your cup of tea if you give it a chance.

Gavin and his instant obsession with Bri was one thing, but what really put me off was Bri and her wishy-washy character. She was thinking something, but said and did the exact opposite and I really don't like my heroines weak. It felt like Gavin didn't have to do much to win her over at the end either.

Loved it!
Brianna goes to college and works at a hotel, with an AWFUL boss. She's cleaning rooms when she comes across Mr. Anaconda himself, Gavin. He hates that nickname, btw. Well they go on a couple dates and have a VERY good time but nothing can come of it since he's just there to shoot a movie. Though that's not going so well, since she has him all distracted, it's pretty sweet actually. Her bff Mindy offers some comic relief and there are definitely some parts in this book that cracked me up. There were some misunderstandings, some very sexy scenes, dual POV and a HEA. I really enjoyed it.
I received an arc of this.

3.5 Stars. I picked this up off Audible Escape.. honestly, this dude narrator.. cracked my crap up. Idk why, it wasn't like he was saying funny things. Every time the narration switched to the male narrator I started to get giggly lol. He obviously took this narration super seriously guys. I was a little concerned about the MMC's apparent anger management issues.. but then I got to thinking about it and honestly it could just be that the dude narrator was super selling it..

I find that while this author does throw out some cute, short, and entertaining reads.. it just seems so superficial and convenient to me story wise. I mean of course a lot of romances aren't "believable" and that is what makes them so good and a form of escape.. but Idk, its just hard for me to really invest myself in them when its a short but sweet HEA. I guess I like a tad bit of "real" served with my romance. Also this FMC, well.. I just wasn't a fan of hers. Her insecurities and irrational jealousy about put me off the whole story. I would have been much more apt to slide into her corner, if when things started to go down, instead of just getting angry and running she was like a super bad A who strutted right up to the problem and confronted it (her) head on. Idk that scene just left a bad taste in my mouth lol.

All in all it was short, sweet and an entertaining "listen" it just didn't have the "depth" that I crave in a romance. So just above middle of the road for me.

Ugh.

This was painful to get through. I am pretty stubborn and always finish a book once I start one, but finishing this one tested my patience. The characters feel like they are written by a teenager who has no idea what being an adult is like and is just making stuff up. The main characters are flat and unrealistic, as are the supporting characters. Bri is supposed to be primarily a college student working at the hotel part-time, but the entire book is spent with her working shifts at the hotel; not once does she attend class. At the very end, the author lets us know that Bri has supposedly been on break from classes this entire time, but by the time we learn this fact, it feels like an afterthought. Bri supposedly hates her job because her boss is such a jerk, but the few times they interact, he speaks harshly to her and not much else. Bri's back story isn't in the least believable and I don't understand the childish relationship Bri and her "bestie" have either; they are downright annoying together. My final issue is that the sex scenes are repetitive and boring. If I have to hear about how Bri's va-jay-jay "clenches" one more time, I am going to scream! God save me from half-assed and unimaginative love scenes! Add in the fact that this "insta-love" story takes place in 1 week and even my ability to suspend brief for the sake of a story has reached its limits. This is my first book by Ms. Landis and if this is the best she can do, it is the last one written by her that I will purchase. I encourage you to look elsewhere.

*I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book*

Brianna and Gavin, the maid and the movie star well he's a professional footballer who's in town to film a movie with hopes of launching an acting career anyway Brianna's at work cleaning hotel rooms when she comes face to face well eyes to crotch with Gavin aka Mr Anaconda himself he's just come out of the shower, he's in the buff and she gets more than an eyeful. I think it's safe to assume you know what his Anaconda nickname is in reference to anyway after she cops a looks she flees in embarrassment but Gavin sees something in her, he wants her and want Gavin wants he gets.

I loved this book it was like a little game of cat and mouse between the two main characters with Gavin being the cat who in the end got the mouse well 'bunny' in this case. Gavin was hot with a touch of alpha-male about him but he was sweetheart he may have had a big anaconda but it wasn't the only thing big about him his heart was too especially when it came to Brianna. The banter between the main characters was good, funny at times even more so when you added Brianna's work colleague and best friend Mindy into the mix, there were misunderstandings between Gavin and Brianna but I'm glad to say they got their HEA in the end, and let's not forget the sex scenes eeekkkk!!! they were hot as Satan's living quarters.

Lauren has done it again, another 5 star read that I'm sure will top the charts.

What a sexy and fun read! It had plenty of steamy moments along with humor and angst that kept the book popping!
Football star Gavin is in a small town for a week during his off season trying his hand at acting. He is known more for his locker room notoriety than his football game. There is a leaked video from the locker room of his "anaconda" then his football skills. Brianna's at work cleaning hotel rooms and she is cleaning Gavin’s room when she comes face to face well eyes to crotch with Gavin just as he has come out of the shower. She freaks and flees in embarrassment but Mr. Anaconda himself sees something in her, and when he wants her , what Gavin wants he gets.

There is a great humor in this story. The zingers, the one liners are awesome. Along with the normal angst that comes with romances- there were some misunderstandings, some very sexy scenes, dual POV and a one great HEA. Gavin and Brianna made this one awesome story and I couldn’t stop reading once I started. I adored Brianna’s BFF Mindy. Sometimes her humor was a bit much but that was who she was and she grew on me. I so hope she gets her own story .

I wanted to like this book. I really did. Buuuuuut I should have known just by the title that it wasn't going to move mountains for me. The two main characters are the most OTT caricatures of a hotshot football player/actor and small town beauty that I may have ever read. There was just no connecting with the dialogue or descriptions. I hate to be mean or hurtful, but this read like a 15 year old girl trying to write for the first time and just coming up with misunderstanding after RIDICULOUS misunderstanding. Lots of jumping to conclusions about people's motives and just no substance.

Sorry to be such a downer, but I just did not enjoy this. Read at your own risk, but I personally do not recommend this.

I just finished "Anaconda" and absolutely loved it! I must say when I heard the title, my first thought was , "Oh no! Not another alpha male flaunting his ...um...size". I was SO pleasantly surprised with the storyline. It happened, by accident, and he wishes everyone would just STOP about it, and respect him for his talent and athleticism, not his "attributes?" His inner turmoil of wanting more out of life, career, and someone who understands him, and loves him for himself shows through. He just keeps making mistakes with our small town girl Brianna or she just keeps reading wrongly into things because she cannot see herself as worthy. If I were her friend ,Mindy (who is hysterical and a great BFF by the way), I would have wanted to smack her a couple times (Gavin too for that matter). Either way, the author's writing has you feeling their feelings, and hoping their hopes,(and I lost a couple of nails that were really coming along nicely on my left hand, thank you very much! GRRR!).

I loved the chemistry between Gavin and Brianna. Loved to hate Vandenburgh - haven't we all had a V-man in our work life at sometime!.And we all need a BFF like Mindy!

All in all the story was sweet, funny, sexy (um ...some of the scenes!!!). Totally made my rainy Sunday!

4 Stars| 5 Heat Level + a impressive "Anaconda"

I will admit I read this one out of order and knew the final outcome, but that said giving Gavin and Brianna their time to shine was well worth it. Gavin is the star athlete looking to try and change his image, well Brianna is just trying to complete her Master's degree. They are from two different worlds at the present moment, but the traits that make them who they are couldn't be more similar. The chemistry and connect that you see with these two is off the charts from the first moment, but will they be able to look past the moment and find what they have both be denying themselves.

I never get tired of reading Lauren's books. They're all different and always HOT! I voluntarily received and reviewed an arc of the book.

Gavin is a celebrity footballer and is attempting to make his way into acting. When he gets to the little podunk town he's to be filming in, all he can think about is getting back out of there...then he meets Brianna. She immediately runs away and he's perturbed to say the least. No one has ever ran from him. Especially after seeing the anaconda...even if that name does twirl the heck outta him. One stupid accident has set him up with the nickname for life and now he can't get away from it. But now he's just trying to get away from the image of the girl that he accidental flashed this time.

Brianna has struggled for years to make her life work. After her parents split, they both moved out of town and she decided to stay and graduate since she'd already been accepted into the local college. She's in the final running of school and only has to deal with her jerk off of a boss for a little while longer. While getting ready to clean the room her boss sent her to get ready, she notices a few things off, it figures since they aren't suppose to be checked in yet it was left by the last people. Then she gets startled by a gorgeous man that's fresh out of the shower with a piece he just can't hide...and she is hit with a ton of lust immediately. She startles when he gets closer to her and runs off. She does her best to stay away from him and try not to run into him again, but fate doesn't see it happening that way.

Gavin is determined that he will have her...even if it costs him everything. He can't concentrate, he keeps messing up on set, and all he can think about is the beautiful brunette. Once he has her, he believes he can let her go....but things don't quite go the way he wants and he keeps having to apologize to her for things she's taken wrong, but then it's time to go.

Can they figure things out and make an effort to work things out, or has Gavin messed up to much for her to give him yet another chance to break her heart? Must read to find out!
