Found this interesting biography tucked away in a tiny small-town bookstore and thought I would give it a try. This is such an interesting insight into the beginnings of Methodism, primarily in America, and the struggles of a man as he sought God's will and did his best to establish the spread of the Methodist Circuits in America. It's so interesting to see how Methodism slowly made it's break from Catholicism, the leading of John Westley in Methodism and the manner by which they sought to establish a communities and churches. Although these methods may seem strange to us now, and I don't agree with everything, it is a stark revelation of just how far we as Christians have left the standards we once held.

Though I don't agree with many practices of the Methodist church, there is no denying that Francis Asbury had a desire to do God's will and win souls.
