This Lawyer doesn't mix his words and were along for the journey on this interesting mystery set in the late 70's. If you're looking for something a little different and don't mind short novella's this could be a read for you.
We Loved that we got a playlist at the end. This was a nice little added bonus to add along to the story. Both me and my husband are fans of Dale Wiley's writing and we're looking forward to see where Soutee goes next.
Soutee Part One by Dale Wiley is a ca 8000 words novelette. Meet Steve Soutee, lawyer, player, chef and gardener. He´s on his way to Memphis to catch a bailiff who run off with 25000$. Lets accompany him on his journey. Meet lots of strange and strangers. This novelette kept me well entertained , I liked the characters, I loved the playlist- a MUST listen - and I liked the words. My conclusion : The Journey is the goal. I give 4 Stars and thank you Dale Wiley!
I didn't quite know what to make of this one while reading it, but there's just something about it that held my interest. It's a super fast (less than 1 hour) read, so it's perfect for a lunchtime story. Soutee is a lawyer and good ol' boy and has quite the adventure while trying to track down some stolen money. He's crude and sarcastic and it works. This one was a bit out of my wheelhouse, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
