Love on the Edge #5

Edge of Brotherhood

Rate this book
What do Dash Lexington, Easton Wells, and Connell Murphey have in common?

They put their lives on the line each day they clock into work. That and their fierce love for the women who match them step for step.

When the studio head who produces both Dash and Easton’s shows announces auditions for a special series to highlight the E.D.G.E men’s skills, Connell and an extreme stunt man named Wade Roberts are the first stars chosen.

Their objective? Accompany Easton deep in the Amazon where he’s recently discovered the lost city of Paititi. With half the structure submerged in dangerous waters, a slew of unpredictable rainforest storms, and a nearly inaccessible location, each man will have to put aside his alpha tendencies and utilize his skills in order to survive the perils of the City of Gold.

But when an enemy from Easton’s past threatens the love of his life, she is met with the wrath of the newly formed E.D.G.E. clan, who will stop at nothing to protect the women they love.

The "Love on the Edge" series by Molly E. Lee is full of adventure, thrill and lots of adrenaline. Molly took us storm chasing twice in Oklahoma, treasure hunting in Israel and deep sea diving in the Bahamas. This time, she takes us on an even bigger adventure: we are about to discover the Amazon rainforest. And not only Easton will be there. Dash, Connell and the girls are on board too! Yes! You read correctly! All the guys in one novel! How cool is that? But it gets even better: Molly introduces us to a new man on the edge. Wade is a stuntman and this adventure will be his and the guys' biggest yet.

One of the most exciting things about Molly's novels are the actual stories behind the stories. There is no doubt that I like all of her books but East of Redemption and now Edge of Brotherhood are a tad more fascinating to me than the others. Of course, storm chasing and deep sea diving are thrilling and awesome too, but there is something about the real places or rumored real places in those novels. I think it's great that Molly took it upon herself to "discover" those places in her books although they haven't been discovered in real life yet.
However, the adventure side of the story as well as the exploration of Paititi was too short for me. The characters only explored the site for three chapters tops, the rest of the time they had to deal with other stuff.

Edge of Brotherhood is a nice book you should all read, especially if you've read the previous books.

As always, I love reading Molly's adventurous stories. I look forward to the books in the "Love on the Edge" series because I can count on them to take me to a faraway place, and allow me to learn about new things, all while containing a sweet and romantic plot. Molly's writing covers a huge spectrum of topics flawlessly, and her books are always thoroughly researched.

As soon as I heard about this book I knew I had to read it as quickly as I could. One of my absolute favorite things about this series is to see the characters from previous books surprisingly tied in and connected to the new book's characters. Edge of Brotherhood gives readers all of that an then some! It was great to catch up again with Easton, Rain, Sadie, Connell, Dash, and Blake, along with meeting the new guy, Wade. Molly's ability to bring all of the guys talents to the table for the mission at hand was exceptionally awesome.

Wade is easily going to steal readers' hearts with his witty personality that often pokes fun of himself.

"Jumping up, I did what any man would do. The f---ing heebie-jeebies dance. After a few spins, I was certain none of the demon's offspring were on me..."

At first he comes across as a loose cannon, but quickly earns his keep with the guys who form this amazing brotherhood. Without Wade, the book wouldn't have been nearly as entertaining. Lucky for us, we get to fall in love with this crazy stuntman and catch up with him again in Molly's upcoming book, which will reveal some of the secrets about Wade's past I'm dying to learn. I have a sneaking suspicion some of the previous fellas we've come to love in this series may make an appearance after the bond they formed in Edge of Brotherhood.

The only negative I found in this story, besides the occasional cheesy comments from the guys about their girls (sometimes we need a little cheese), was the action at Easton's treasure site wasn't quite as fleshed out as I hoped it would be. The adventure came from another unexpected aspect of the story instead, which left the ending of the story less than exciting, in my opinion.

If you have yet to read this series, start with Edge of Chaos and be ready for a wild ride. I am anxiously awaiting the adventures to come in the future!

At 43%- I'm starting to remember why I stopped reading books by Molly E. Lee. I'm just not the same person who really enjoyed the first book of this series. Plus, the lack of good grammar is getting to me. Really. "I" is a subject pronoun and should not appear in the predicate of a sentence. Just saying. Plus, I understand why the author wanted to include Dash in this story, but his role really could've been done by satellite images. His part of this seems to be a bit of a stretch.

At 49%- I don’t like it when authors include OP drama. Ms. Lee seems to enjoy bring back OP from the H’s past. Why did the evil caricature of villain have to be Easton’s former f-buddy again ?

Upon finishing, I can’t say I enjoyed this overly much. I liked the multiple povs and seeing the previous three couples on the other side of their HEAs, but the storytelling was a bit sappy and boring. It’s hard for the first person POV to not sound like it’s just telling you things instead of showing you. Other readers might love Molly Lee’s writing style, but I’ve found that I’ve outgrown my enjoyment of it.

The action of this book was well paced and fairly interesting. However, I do wish the reader was treated with more on the archaeological aspect of this story as it was much more compelling than the OTT evil cackling drama. The solid relationships were nice to read as were the sweet protectiveness and possessiveness of the Hs. Overall an ok read.

All of the edge men in one book? Yes please! Molly continues to surprise me with each book I read.(Major fangirling for you Molly!) Her attention to detail really makes the reader feel as if they were there. She is a master storyteller; her plot and pacing were so on point. There were no lags or drags to the story. I also love all of the twists and turns that are weaved into every novel.

Let's not forget the MEN!!! Gah! I fall a little more with every book. Wade is no different. I love EVERYTHING about him. He is witty, sarcastic, and has this harm to him. Plus he's a stunt man. How cool is that?! I can't wait to read his story!
If you haven't read any of Molly's other books in The Edge series, that's okay! This can standalone, but I would highly recommend starting with Edge Of Chaos. You get to know the background of each guy as you read their stories. It makes their bromance even more awesome.

It is no secret that I am a huge fan of this world and this series, along with everything this author has created. So to say that I was excited to see a book that brought all of her characters together, is putting it mildly. I was so ready for this book. I absolutely loved the concept and premise, I have course loved being back with all of these characters in one place, and I could not put this book down.

Edge of Brotherhood is the meshing of some incredibly vibrant and amazing characters coming together to create a brotherhood that I know will stand the test of time. Throw in some epic adventures and some deeply felt romances, and you have an incredible book from start to finish.

Molly E Lee just continues to show her talent as a writer and storyteller in these books. These stories are full of adventure in Vivenness and fun and personality and so much heart and I just love it. I’m here for every second of it and I love how she gives these characters such true and genuine connections. It makes reading her books so thoroughly enjoyable in every way and it is truly the best.

The premise of this book was absolutely fantastic. It brought together all of the characters of this world and even introduced a hero for another book while showing these characters in their element. Each of them bring their own expertise to this journey to find a new discovery. The way as author seamlessly leaves together the suspense in action that defines this series, that sense of connection and brotherhood, while also showing that they would do anything for their families and for the women they love makes for absolute perfection. It truly was an incredible read from start to finish. It just made me remember again and again why I love all of these characters and this world so damn much.

I cannot wait to continue on and read Wade’s book, but I also just can’t wait to be back in this world and with this authors writing. She truly has a way of just letting you get lost in her bops and it’s everything. The way these characters feel everything, the way they fight for things when it really matters, and the way they put their hearts on the line is the absolute best. And I truly cannot wait for more!

If you are looking for a unique kind of romance and love story that will take you on one hell of an adventure, then run yourself to these books this very second. You will not regret it. Not one little bit. I promise you that!

And when I did not think it was possible to love these books any more, Molly had to give readers THIS! It BLEW me away! This has got to be my favorite book out of this entire series, which is really saying something because I loved them all. I did not know how all of the E.D.G.E men would be together and I will tell you, I was not prepared for how amazing it was. Molly continues to be one of my favorite authors, producing gems that stand out from the sea of other contemporary romance books.

The writing was amazing, the pacing was perfection and the action kept me on the edge of my seat. I was surprised how much I enjoyed that this book is solely written from the E.D.G.E men’s points of view. It gave this series a different dynamic that allowed readers to connect with the male characters on an all new level. This was an EPIC bromance! I loved seeing these boys bond and become inseparable. And the newest recruit, Wade, has got to be my favorite out of all the previous male protagonists.

The plot of this book was genius, with each character serving a purpose and pushing the story forward. I also felt like each character was given substantial roles, with no characters outshining the others. I thought that the setting was great and the stakes were higher than they had ever been before. When starting this book, I was disappointed to find out that not all the girls were going to be included in this adventure, but it felt like Molly may have alluded to a book that will include all the E.D.G.E characters which would be completely EPIC!

Although this book focuses on building the friendship between the men, there is still an amazing romance between Easton and Rain! These two are one of my favorite relationships in this entire series and I loved seeing how their relationship has expanded since their book. Easton was so protective over Rain and he was willing to burn down the world to keep her safe. I also loved that although the other girls were not actively in this book, the other guys’ inner thoughts still allowed readers to see how their stories have progressed since the conclusion of their books.

Overall, this is one of my favorite series and, so far, this is my favorite book from the series. I loved being able to reunite with my favorite characters, as well as being introduced to another that I absolutely fell in love with! I CAN NOT wait to read Wade’s story because I already know that it is going to be amazing! I HIGHLY recommend this series, BUT make sure to read all the previous books before picking up this one so you know each of the character’s histories and relationships without being spoiled.

5+ "Extremely Dangerous and..." Stars!

This book is literally everything to me. Ever since I met the last (and who I thought was the final, thank goodness I could be wrong) Edge man, Connell Murphey, I just knew Molly had to write a book where all the Edge men came together somehow using all their talents in an adventure. And Molly definitely 100% delivered. This is my dream book for her and these characters. So I seriously can't rave enough about how much this book is close to my soul, right next to Molly Lee. Also, who doesn't like four hot men being all manly and dominant in one setting?!

Easton Wells, Dash Lexington, Connell Murphey, and Wade Roberts. All four men are called together to embark on an adventure only the extremely brave and talented can do.

"And what exactly are a treasure hunter, a storm chaser, a deep sea diver, and a stunt man supposed to do on a show?"

Just that statement alone had me coming out of my seat. Simply because, again, this is what I've been waiting for.

Exploring the City of Gold with the best of the best didn't mean it was doing to be easy. With the skill set of all four men combined it would indeed make it EASIER, but then there's the fact that all four men had literally just met.

"I glanced around the room, looking at the three guys who I'd have to trust enough to go to a place more dangerous than I'd ever been before."

And easy it wasn't. Everywhere they turned, with every skill and asset each man exceeded, there was an obstacle. With Easton as the head of the exhibition, he did nothing but give orders and worry about his new team day and night.

"I wasn't afraid of failing, or being wrong. What made it hard to sleep at night was knowing I was putting a crew I hadn't known more than two days under my responsibility."

Slowly but surely, the more time spent around each other, these four alpha male strangers formed a brotherhood. They could deny it all they want, or simply just not recognize it, but it became them.

But it's almost impossible to go on an exhibition of this magnitude without danger and trouble running into them.

"I don't know when this special turned into a bromance, but I couldn't deny the terror ripping through my blood at losing another part of our crew."

They're put to the ultimate test of trust and Brotherhood to get back one of their own.

Regardless though...

"Because though we had different areas of expertise, there was one thing that had brought our new family together, one connection that made us whole--we took each day to the edge.
And this was just the beginning."

The beginning is right. As the manhunt begins, these men will stop at nothing to get their missing link back.

One skill set at a time.

Absolute perfection is how I would describe this story. Molly is a genius, plain and simple. I've loved all of the books in the Love on the Edge series. Each guy is unique and has their own skill set along with an awesome woman by their side. Now, to bring them all together on this adventure is just... wow. The setting is described in such great detail that you feel like you are right there with the characters as everything is happening. Molly has an incredible talent with words and painting the picture for the reader. It's really amazing how she's able to do that. I finished the book a little while ago and my mind is still reeling from everything that happened. You've got sassy and strong females, alpha males who will do anything for their women and each other, danger, excitement, suspense, mystery, and the twist that you will never see coming. Absolutely amazing. This will without a doubt go down as one of my top reads for this year, maybe even ever. Wade is going to the top of my list of favorite book boyfriends. He's funny, sarcastic, and has a skill set a mile long! I really enjoyed his addition to the E.D.G.E men and what they have to offer.

This is the first book I have ever read by this author. I assure you it won't be the last. This book was perfectly written. Every word, every page held my attention. It is very hard for me to keep myself on track with one book. This book was so refreshing. The storyline was very different and thats a good thing. Reading the same type of genre over and over again gets boring. So this book was perfect for me..
I enjoyed this author so much that I went back and downloaded every book she has written..❤❤❤❤

I absolutely loved how this book came together with each of the characters from previous books forming such a close bond with each other. I can't express enough how much I loved this book and Molly's writing. She has a way of making the scenes and actions so life-like, it is easy to live within the pages. The action and adventure in this series is incredible, and I look forward to each new addition to the series. I enjoyed the banter between the guys on their journey, and can't wait for Wade's story.

Just Wow! This books give the E.D.G.E. a whole new meaning! It is high action and adventure.

I love the photos inside the book. It is such a great touch of putting me in a mindset of each "brother" And repeatedly checking out the guys.

I love all of the Edge guys, however, Wade is funny, smart and has a way of bringing them all together as a brotherhood that is just amazing!

Molly did an incredible job of balancing 4 alphas and allowing each of the guys to speak. She accomplished this in a way that allowed the story to flow no matter whose point of view. She is a genius!

June can not get here soon enough! I can't wait for more Wade!

I've been in a book funk of the worse kind. In all honesty I decided to read this book because it was one of the shorter books in my To Read list. I'm really happy about that because it was kind of exactly what I needed to start pulling me out of my book funk.

This book is different from the rest in the series, in a good way. Instead of romance and relationship drama, it's full of bromance and life threatening drama. You still get to see the love the boys have for their women, but what's most important is the strong relationship they form with each other. They become so close in such a short amount of time you just know they would do anything for each other. Which is definitely necessary for what they get themselves into.

As for Wade, I'm excited to see his story and see if he finally gets the girl.

Love...

I have loved every single one of Molly's books. Bringing all the men and ladies together in one book made this one of my favorite books. I've loved Dash, Easton and Cornell's books it was always hard to choose which guy I liked more. But in the Edge of Brotherhood I didn't have to choose because I got them all.

This book is amazing, fast paced and an adventure that needs to be read. It will keep you wanting for more. The dynamics of the group meshed so well. I can't wait to read more about Wade. I have a feeling he'll fast become my new favorite.

The gangs all here along with a few new faces. This time the network is putting together a team to find the Lost City of Gold. Excitement fun in the jungle and some suspense bring us a well rounded story. Good light weight fun even though I wish the intrigue and action was a bit stronger towards the end it was definitely worth the read.

Wow. Talk about an adventure!!

You know the men from Molly's books: Dash, the storm chaser; Easton, the treasure hunter, and Connell, the deep sea diver. Throw in a new dashing young rogue, add some Harry Potter references, and sprinkle in a high stakes, life or death mission, you get this book.

Never has Molly put so much on the line. The life or death aspect of this was incredible. The way that all the guys just clicked, amazing. I loved the bond they formed. They get each other on every level. That's what this story is really about. It's about the bond between these four guys and their mission to save someone (not telling who, though), and their mission to find a buried treasure.

The drama is perfect, never over the top. The love is, as always, tangible and amazing. The stress that comes with these jobs are so well written.

AND THEN SHE THROWS IN THAT FREAKING BOMBSHELL TWIST: my face was literally the WTF emoji. Absolute perfection.

If you haven't met these characters yet, don't fret. Molly does an amazing job covering them all so you can feel good about reading this book as a standalone. If you DO start with this one, man, you will NOT be disappointed.

This is just another amazing, well written, well thought out, adventure that Molly has taken on - one that I love being on. These characters have so much depth and are some of my favorite that I've ever read.

So, RUN. One-click. Right now. YOU NEED THESE MEN IN YOUR LIFE! <3

I had to wait a little bit until after I finished reading this book to collect my thoughts. Molly E. Lee has done something that I haven't read before and with each book in the series I become a little more obsessed with them. This series has the alpha male, which we all love, but she puts them with these kick butt women and together not only do they have a great romance, but they live extreme lifestyles that thrill me in every page. Growing up, I loved the Indiana Jones and Twister movies and Molly has brought this type of action adventure to her books. I read this book all in one night because I couldn't put it down.

This amazing cast of characters had me on the edge of my seat all night. We get all of the Edge men together in one novel which is a dream come true for me! Plus we get Wade who is a newbie to the group, but fits right in and I loved him! The Edge men go on one heck of an adventure and of course our leading ladies are in there, too. The chemistry between the characters was amazing and if was like they were destined to have a story together. I can see many more Edge adventures. These books are a must read and must buy the hard copy and put them on my shelf. They are in a romance category all by themselves and I can't wait for the next one! Awesome read! A whole lot of stars!

Molly E. Lee is an absolute genius. I fell in love with every book before this for so many reasons, but first, and foremost, for Molly's ability to tell a DAMN good story while mixing in so much adventure and ROMANCE!!! This book ties in all of my most favorite people and introduces a new one - who I CANNOT WAIT to read more of! These guys and their strong women counterparts are just wonderful.

Bravo, Molly!! I could not have imagined a better book for the E.D.G.E. men!

5 Millions Super Adventures Stars!!

ARC Generously Provided by the Author

This is the sixth book in the Love on the Edge series by Molly Lee. OMG this book is AMAZING and my favorite from the whole series. Molly did the most amazing thing, she wrote a book when our lovely and sexy men (Dash, Easton and Connell) and another new guy (Wade), he is MINE!! They know each other and join forces to live what could be the great adventure of their lives!!!

The adventure that they start together is so dangerous but at the same time the result of the whole expedition will be amazing!!! You can imagine the adventure I mean you have a storm chaser, a treasure hunter, a deep sea diver (this is my favorite job, I mean I’m a biologist so I love the sea). Molly write amazing scenes when the characters have to pass difficult situations, I mean I literally feel that I was there with them doing the whole expedition!!

I love that the whole characters made a great friendship, I mean after the whole adventure they have to trust in each other and at the end they formed a family! Of course the book has romance I mean Molly is well known for mix romance and adventures in her books! (I love this about her style) and also the book has drama and seriously that I didn’t see coming! But Molly always do things like that!

I think if you have already known our guys or you are new to Molly’s book you will enjoy this book like so MUCH! Because she did an amazing job!!! Molly did another so good and well written book, that I’m pretty sure would be a huge success!!

Congratulations Molly!!! Can’t wait for read my man’s book, I mean Wade’s book!

The E.D.G.E men, instead of superheroes they are thrill seekers!

Cute story. I love how they each have their own chapters, own stories and how the team came together. I how each love story came together, and you can read this book without having to have read the stories before. It just means more I think if you have all the backstories.

Also I LOVE me some dash, but so excited to learn more about wade.

I hate the word bro. It's funny sometimes but felt like it was over used. You know when you realize the characters love each other, that's one of my favorite parts of romance stories. I felt as though the "bromance" was rushed and should have came after they "have to go on that quest" <-- without giving anything away, to make it seem more natural or realistic. Overall it was still a good book and can't wait for others to read it.

OMG!!! If you love the men of Molly E. Lee's Love on the Edge series, then you must read Edge of Brotherhood! Dash, Easton, and Connell team up with a fun, crazy Hollywood stunt man, Wade Roberts to make E.D.G.E.  Edge of Brotherhood starts off six months after Dash and Blake got married and are headed to L.A. to meet the network about a new show where they will be heading into the Amazon rainforest to find the City of Gold.  I knew Molly E. Lee would provide lots of adventure, but I was blown away by all the action and dangerous situations the E.D.G.E. men found themselves in. The book is chalked full of intrigue, danger, humor, romance, adventure, and excitement.

I loved getting to see all the couples from series and how in love they all were and where they were all now in their lives.  None of them were afraid to show they had found the loves of their lives and that created a lot of passion and heat on the pages. ;)

Not only do we get to see our favorites but we are introduced to Wade who brings humor in the craziest of times bringing any situation around.  However, underneath it all there's a darkness that lurks underneath.  At the end of the book, you can read the prologue for the next book in the series. I cannot wait to read his story in Edge of Regret coming June 20, 2017.

Molly E. Lee did an incredible job of incorporating the extreme lifestyles of Dash, Easton, and Connell from her books and putting them all together to make a mix between Twister and Indiana Jones, some of my favorite movies!  She writes amazing characters that you instantly love and want to be their friends. Her heroines are just as amazing, strong and capable as the heroes of her books which I adore.  Plus, the way she writes make her stories so easy to envision making me feel as if I'm part of their world and lives.  I cannot recommend this book or series enough! They are a breath of fresh air in the world of romance books.
