*voluntarily and honestly reviewed the ARC I received from IndieSage PR*
I liked the first book, but this one was pretty exciting. A murder mystery, a call to the Alpha Squad, a reluctant small town that's still struggling to accept the fact that shifters are among us. This deals with a lot of prejudice, ignorant or abusive officials, and gets complimented with a pretty interesting plot, a sweet connection and an overall entertaining reading experience.
Adam is a total sweetheart and a bit of a playful personality. His run-in with Felicity, another bear shifter hoping to solve the same case he is, was equally interesting with her work ethics and sense of duty to a town that only seemed to piss me off the more they aggravated the innocent people stuck there. This really played with a lot of my emotions while managing to be a fast-paced read with suspense, thrills and sexy times. I liked it, and if you like shifter romances with mysteries, definitely check this out. Moone's created a world where shifters are out of the closet, and society is struggling to keep their peace. Definitely something I'd revisit.
