Kyla wanted to stay with the Pack in Oregon to try helping people, but a recent series of murders involving ritualistic symbols is more than Camille bargained for when she agreed. As the case gets closer to home, overcoming her aversion to magic might be the only option alongside Kyla's determination to prevent more murders. With the help of Camille's sister, Luna, and the Supernatural Council's case lead, Abby, Camille and Kyla are on the hunt for a killer.
This is my favorite from the 3. Although I still don't like Kyla, she's still this self centered person like on the first 2. She's not the only who's been through something but she always act like everything is about her. I like Abby here, she redeemed herself with me. I was really annoyed with her on the second book. Maybe Kyla's really the one who's got a problem. She's confusing me sometimes. And I still stand that Camille's too good for Kyla. Yes, they don't really talk about what is really up, Cami's too scared to confront. Camille's is always the one who's adjusting between them. I just hope if there's a next book, Camille will also have someone that will somehow try to threat Kyla. Because Kyla's too secure with her but she's still having slight "feelings" with Abby. And also Luna is really savage sometimes, she's brutal on teasing and sometimes it's not funny. I hope Luna and Abby will end up together. Haha
If you like Paranormal/Mystery you will like this one.
This was a settling kind of read and in a way I found it comfortable. Perhaps the reasons are because outstanding issues have gotten resolved and in addition I feel the characters have ascended to a maturity(same goes for the writing). So what's next in the series?
Oh gosh! I love, love, loved the twist with Constance... oh the Innocent, indeed! I love seeing the relationship between Kyla and Cami growing, and how both of their friendship with Abby is getting stronger too. Luna's a crack up like always, I love this team!
It's simple really. The author. I will always give her five stars because she is a very good one and I overlook some things that I normally would not. The story of Kyla and Camille is beginning to bore me a bit. Something really new needs to happen there. I am surprised that the author doesn't realize the wonderful character she created in Abby and move forward with her. Perhaps it is time to put the two werewolves in a supporting role and go with the incredibly interesting Abby and the council. The first book I read by this author is Breaking Legacies and although she is very good she, in my opinion, has yet to produce a book that measures up to that one. That could be a little unfair of me but it is merely my opinion. I still highly recommend her books.
This is, so far, the best book in this series! I loved that the focus was on getting to know each other, supporting each other, working together and not the rivalry and misunderstandings from the book before this one. I loved the case. It was really fun to see how they tried to solve it as a team and I also liked the bad guys reasoning this time. Everything made sense and I like what the relationships between the characters are teasing at and I hope that what I'm thinking is going to happen actually happens because that would be quite sweet.
I’ll be honest despite how much I love the characters and following their adventures, it took me quite some time to get into this book. That being said, it didn’t take away from my love for this book! I’m really glad to see so much character development in Camille. I really didn’t expect her story to go down the road it did and I CANNOT WAIT to read what happens next!
A good book 3. The writing has stayed true throughout and the characters are pleasantly consistent but we get to see new layers for the MCs relationship and the connection they both have with Abby too. Luna is honest my spirit animal always.
