I am a mother to an 18-month-old toddler. I researched a lot of activities for my child that would help her develop and that would also be fun. I combined activities that I found in different resources into one bundle, added some of our own activities and I'm sharing these activities with other moms that don't have time to do extensive research. All the activities in the book have been tested on our toddler, and I only included those that she liked. The target group for these activities is 12 to 18-month-old toddlers, but I think 18 to 24 month olds would enjoy them as well. All kids are different though, and if your child is not interested in some activities, try them again later. Kids develop and change their interests so fast!
Needed a refresher for ideas we could use with our granddaughter (now 16 months) as we are looking after her now that her mum had returned to work. Because of Covid times all the playgroups and activity centres are closed and as winter arrives we thought we needed to re-arm ourselves with ideas. All the activities use readily available household items. Got some good ideas.
Simple, easy activities that are realistic and age appropriate. Already enjoyed several of them with my little boy. Would recommend if you struggling with coming up with easy to do activities with your little one.
Great ideas for small activities for young toddlers! Most of these exercises can be done with things already in your home or by making a quick (and inexpensive) trip to the store.
I loved the range of ideas and they were suitable for even the youngest of learners. The format was clear and it is easy to skim through for last minute plans. Infant/Toddler Teacher
