Everything about Brooke drives me absolutely wild.
I just want to tear her clothes off and ravage her body, satisfying my every desire.
Even the sound of her soft, feminine voice turns me on.
Brooke's unlike any woman I've ever met and I want her in the worst possible way.
There's only one problem - I can't have her without breaking a promise I made 5 years ago.

Brooke is fed up with daily life – work, the sea of losers in the dating pool, all of it – and decides to visit her sister in Montreal for some much-needed girl time. Unfortunately, her car breaks down on the way there and she's stuck in rural Vermont with a snow storm rolling in.

When handsome and wealthy loner, Dylan Thompson, finds Brooke slowly freezing to death on the side of the road, an instant attraction ignites. He finds her to be stunningly gorgeous and wants Brooke in the worst way. Just looking at her sets every cell in Dylan's muscular body on fire.

The only problem is that Dylan can't have her without breaking a promise he made 5 years earlier. If he can keep his hands to himself long enough to get Brooke to Montreal, his promise will remain unbroken.

But, Dylan doesn't know if he can hold out that long.

Or if he can hold out at all.

*** This is a steamy, dirty, stand-alone romance novella with no cheating, no cliffhangers and a Happily Ever After guaranteed! ***

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of Loner by M.L. Sapphire for voluntarily reviewing the book.

This is a great book.

Dylan caught his girlfriend cheating on him with his boss in his own bed. He decided then and there to quit his job and told his girlfriend to never contact him again. He was tired of the city and all the drama so he left and drove to the middle of nowhere Vermont and built himself a big house and started his own company. Five years later, the only time he has to leave home is to check on his startup companies he invests in or to go to town for supplies.
Brooke caught her last boyfriend cheating on her and now she is having trouble finding even one guy that she can get past a first date with. She decides to go to Montreal to visit her sister and get some advice from her. Maybe some time away will give her some perspective. She leaves later than planned and her car breaks down and she is stranded on the side of the road in a blizzard. Half frozen to death Dylan finds her on his way back from town and brings her home to wait out the storm. They spend only one day together and have some great sex. Dylan ends up taking her to her sisters as her car won't be ready for a few days. They both have feelings for each other but can't believe they are so strong after just 24 hours. Will they be able to find each other again or was it meant to be just a one night thing?

The tagline on the cover says it all. “All he wanted was to be left alone ... Until he met her.”

It sums up LONER completely ... Dylan had had everything going his way in life, a fantastic job and a live-in girlfriend, but things fell apart. He began to feel overworked and tired of the nonsense. It all changed when one day his boss insisted that he come to work when he should have been home in bed sick, he left early and found his girlfriend with his boss. Threw them both out, quit his job and moved to Vermont and lives alone.

Brooke is an attorney and tired of dating losers. She plans a trip to Montreal to visit her sister who always has great advice but her car breaks down in a snowstorm. Saving her from the brink of death is Dylan ... who slowly starts to think that maybe being a LONER isn't such a great idea.

LONER is a fun book, but it also seriously looks at life and the woes of single hood. Dylan has serious trust issues and uses his money to live alone and doesn't believe in love. Brooke wants to find the right man and fall in love and travel with that love and enjoy life. This is a really good read, steamy in the right places but thought provoking, too, as you watch this couple deal with life and it's unexpected twists and turns. I loved the chase that happens after Brooke visits her sister, a little bit of just missed her (him) that made me smile. LONER will certainly leave you with a smile and makes a perfect escape from readers day to day life.

I liked this short story. I read this book in one sitting and didn’t once put it down.
I liked the chemistry and passion between Brooke and Dylan. It wasn’t as strong as I wanted but it was still clear to see. I understood Dylan’s reason but I couldn’t stop myself from shouting at him. Shouting at him not to let Brooke leave. I liked Brooke’s carefree attitude. I liked that she didn’t sit and whine, she went after what she wanted or at least attempted to.
Some of the scenes in this book are panty melting hot. The highway scene was super kindle melting hot!
I liked the entire story but the ending was my favourite. I liked that Dylan and Brooke reunited. I liked that Dylan managed to find Brooke and I liked that he surprised her.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and a nice read.

I enjoyed this book. Its a quick InstaLust read. If a gal is going to get stranded in a snowstorm, who better to come along than a hot man to have a good time with?
The characters had great chemistry and they were fun.

This is a quick, seriously steamy sex filled book that is perfect for an evening of escapism.

Loner is the perfect way to describe Dylan, he lives alone and has decided after his past that’s the way to go. Five years ago Dylan had the life that he had always dreamed of, his dream job on wall street although his boss left a lot to be desired, he had the girl he loved living with him and money in the bank life was good until the day that he left work early to find his boss in bed with his girlfriend. Everything changed for him that day he quit his job, threw out the rubbish and moved to Vermont where he has lived alone ever since, miles from people or any town. Until one night he is travelling back from the nearest town after picking up as many supplies as he can knowing a storm is about to hit he comes across what looks like an abandoned car, after closer inspection he sees Brooke close to death freezing. Knowing he has no choice he rescues her and the life that he has cultivated for himself no longer feels as appealing as it once did.

Brooke is a practicing attorney who is fed up of dating the guys that she thinks she should. Losers! After a lunch with her friend she decides that she should visit her sister in Montreal for some much needed sisterly advice. Leaving a lot later than she plans she gets caught in the snowstorm and her car decides to give up the ghost. Rescued by Dylan on the edge of death she meets the man that she has been looking for only problem is convincing him that being alone isn’t what he really wants. Leaving Brooke at her sisters Dylan returns to his previous existence but is it what he really wants? Dylan has some serious trust issues and is scared of feeling something for a woman again so has chosen to hide his heart in ice until Brooke starts to thaw him. After they both realise where their hearts truly lie events conspire to keep them apart. Will they finally get together?

Great read and worth signing up for the extended ending.
