I benefited from this devotional more than reading the book, Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts. Both are good, but I especially loved the design of this devotional. Each devotion has meaning and could lead to deeper discussions, but it also is a succinct check-up on one's relationship.

This book really helped my fiance and I get to know each other on a lot of topics. The writers really helped guide us as we discussed important spiritual and physical matters about finances, intimacy, family, and where our faith lines up. The real life stories offered at the end of each devotion gave us a better idea of how different couples do activities differently, and it encouraged us to find our own ways of doing things. Lastly, each devotion ends with a prayer, and that has brought my love and I closer together than anything else. It renews our minds and keeps us focused on our future together, amidst all of the distractions from our crazy, busy lives. I highly recommend this devotional to any engaged couple looking to get to know each other way better before they take their marriage vows. It's a helpful tool to learn to love the other person even more than before.
