The Saga Continues
This book continues the saga of Brian Drummond, young American flying Spitfires in the run-up to the Battle of Britain, as the hopelessly outnumbered RAF seeks to deny the Luftewaffe air superiority to support the coming German invasion. As the pilots go through deadly dull routine of Available to Standby, to scramble to the intensity of air combat, the story weaves in the high-level stories. Churchill is valiantly trying to unite Britain with its army shattered after the devastating debacle of the Battle of France and Dunkirk. He is also forming a close relationship with Franklin Roosevelt, who cannot yet provide Britain all the help they so desperately need. Oh yes, and there are women, more than Brian can handle!
