Does the Proverbs 31 woman inspire you and motivate you to work hard within your home? Or more likely, does reading her story overwhelm you and make you want to crawl into a hole out of feelings of failure and overwhelm?
No matter your current relationship with her, there are six important characteristics you can learn from reading Proverbs final chapter. The key to understanding her in the proper context is first understanding a little bit more about the book of Proverbs. In this brand new eBook from blogger and author Jami Balmet, of Young Wife's Guide, you will discover the six characteristics of a wise woman •Her character as a wife •Her devotion as a homemaker •Her generosity as a neighbor •Her influence as a teacher •Her effectiveness as a mother •Her excellence as a person
I think I expected this to be more of a devotional type e-book. It took me awhile to figure out why I wasn't really enjoying this book. I've enjoyed Jami's blog and podcast and she has mentioned wanting to write a book in the future. I didn't enjoy this as an e-book. It is more of an essay. I should have figured that out from the title. There are more quotes in the e-book then her own experiences and understanding of Proverbs 31 which if I was a bible college professor I would probably give her an "A" on this essay, but it's not (devotional) book material.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a quick read that helped me understand the Proverbs 31 woman's story better and see more ways to apply it to my life. I've been a fan of Jami's blog (Young Wife's Guide) and the Homemaking Foundations podcast for a while now so I was excited to read her book!
