Honestly I was nervous starting this because I read the title of the next few books and I was scared the author would put constant strain on the couples but 😩😩😩😩 so far, so good. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Jeremy is 🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵

Why couldn’t people just mind their own business? Why did people have to be so nosy?
I just wanted to love Kevin and for us to be left alone. It shouldn’t matter to anyone else who we loved or why. Nobody would ever be able to get it, to understand why I needed him…why I loved him. I couldn’t even make sense of it, but I’d accepted that a long time ago. I didn’t need to dissect things and analyze them. I loved him. That was all that mattered.

Oh yes, I do so love to read about established relationships; the every day ins and outs of working together as a couple are fascinating to me because - despite what Disney would have you believe - not everything is a HEA, and staying together takes effort...no matter how much you love each other, because what you sacrifice to be together can be more than many can handle.

Luckily our guys seem to have fallen into a good rhythm, exploring their sexual chemistry, their needs & desires. Now, if only the Real World didn't keep expecting them to participate! Just Kidding. Only, not...because it's how they are going to present themselves, explain their connection, to their fellow students, friends and acquaintances that really throws everything into stark relief. I'll admit that's one of the things that fascinates me in this genre ('cesty) because it's such a taboo.

Their decision seems like a no-brainer but it just goes to show that there is more to planning an escape, in preparing for a future together, than just the physical considerations (like housing, work, school, etc.) and that the expediency and detailed organization to get the hell out took up so much of their focus that once achieved these guys had more scrutiny, more drama to face.

Looking forward to the next one for certain - and I can't help but cross my fingers that MAI gets Kenneth Obi to sign on to narrate this series as well...he's so damned good at these kinds of taboo stories. He gives the themes & characters real emotional impact without being overly dramatic; he doesn't phone in the performances. *Crossing all my appendages*

Well Jeremy and Kevin are finally on their way toward a happy life. They're realistic, and anticipate the trouble ahead, but their hopeful mood prevails in Too Close to Hide.

Looking forward to the next episode, and I've got my fingers crossed we'll meet up with Bryan and Maddox soon.

I'm starting to get the same vibe I had with the Pieces series from this author. This series is I think 8 or 9 books. With this being book #2, I'm seeing a lot of filler. There is also a lot of repetition. The word love or any form of the word is used 110 times. There is only 92 pages, lol. I mean, we got it already!! Jeremy loves Kevin. Kevin loves Jeremy.

We are rehashing feelings from growing up that we already read about in the first book. The Pieces series felt dragged out, and it was only four books. So this one is already making me nervous. I already bought all the books from the author's website because they are banned everywhere it seems due to their taboo nature.

So I will push through and hope for the best. I just need it to move and have things happening. Not just these two telling each other they love one another and having sex and not being productive members of society.

2.75 🕳🕳🕳 (relaxed sphincters)

Waiting so long between reading book 1 (which was amazing) and this book was definitely to this book's detriment.

The "antagonists" were very annoying. They're loud, giggling college girls obsessed with gay men. Like, ok, I can't fault them for being obsessed with gay men, they are pretty magical, but DAYUM.

And the rest was very sex-focused. The story lost some of that spark that made it a joy to read and what kept it popping up in my mind for months after reading it.

This was a nice short sequel.

Jeremy and Kevin are out on their own and trying to figure out how to present themselves to the rest of the world. I liked seeing what they each bring to the relationship, and that it is truly one of love where both are equals emotionally as well as physically. Being brothers their banter is still jovial and expectant of two people who have known each other their whole lives, but there is still always an intimacy, respect and genuine romantic love and affection to everything that they do.

On to book 3

**Brotherly incest proceed with caution**

This is the second book in this series and we find Jeremy and Kevin trying to figure out what they are to the outside world.

Jeremy is the protector and provider, and he is lost on how to act in the real world after having to hide his true feelings for Kevin. Kevin is lost himself because Jeremy is the strong one but he needs for Jeremy to know he loves him and will always have his back.

This second book in the series (not a standalone) follows on brilliantly from book 1 and enhances the connection between these men, building their relationship and developing their identity with themselves and the people they come into contact with. The audio narration by Zachary Zaba is superbly done and brought the story to life.

A great continuation of the story. My only complaint is that the books aren’t full stories. With 10 “books” at $3 a piece (the first was free), it’s going to cost me $27 to read the equivalent of one book. I don’t think I am down for that. Maybe if I see them on sale I will read the rest but until then, I am sad to say this is probably all the time I will spend with these two.

This is book 2 of Kevin and Jeremy's relationship,
The boys are now free from their dominant parents, and are starting college life .

This is when the realities of life come crashing down on them ,
the brothers start to question and analyse every step they take ,
how would they explain their relationship to others?
what " label " could they possibly use ?
what would others think ?

l love the depth the author gives to each brother's fears and inner monologues,
she does not make light of the many issues surrounding the boys.
Jeremy is still very protective of Kevin, only with more ways to show it.

Another learning curve is their physical relationship,
exploring each others likes, when so many strong feelings are involved is scary .
Again , the author writes about the intimate scenes so well ,with such detail,
those parts are so " hot" and so well written, with the boys questioning each step they take,
together with their intense love for each other you cannot help but fall in love with them.

l am so excited to learn more about what life will throw at these strong boys ,
but, with that finale , l am a little scared for them too .

An ARC was given.

***ARC RECEIVED IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***

This book is so taboo but when reading, it felt so right. I absolutely adore both Kevin and Jeremy and they are definitely up there as my favourite fictional MM couple ever. This is an excellent follow on novel and I feel like I need more. This book is tastefully written despite the taboo story line. An excellent second book but I need more Jeremy and Kevin!

In this we catch up with Jeremy and Kyle and see how they're coping living together as a couple this time, NOT as brothers. While they're comfortable with what they are to each other they still worry that if people find the truth out, what they'll say.
This was yet another brilliantly written story and it was tasteful too in the way it was written.
I love both Jeremy & Kevin and this did make me laugh at times.
Absolutely loved it!!

The story picks up right from the end of book 1. Jeremy & Kevin are arriving at college. They may have made the first step but they find the next step is just as hard. They have to decide what to tell people. They are both really happy together but also fearful of what the future holds. I loved the solution they came up with. I look forward to more about these brothers.

Picked up where book 1 left off. Jeremy and Kevin are settling into their new apartment. Buying linens and kitchen stuff and making plans to buy furniture and groceries. They also meet their neighbors, two giggly girls who invite them to a party.

Since the girls saw them shopping and think they are a cute gay couple, their “do we say we are brothers or boyfriends?” dilemma is down one option. Fortunately Kevin comes up with a brilliant work around.

****

On the sexy fun time side of things, they discover they are both happier when Jeremy takes the lead during sex. And even when they experiment with Kevin topping Jeremy, it’s still Jeremy calling the shots.

The second book in the series is about the boys starting out their new life together and figuring out how they are going to explain their relationship to others. Hide the love and be just brothers in public? Or hide being brothers and be a couple in public? I think they chose right and came up with the right excuse for the same last name. That was the first thing that popped in my mind too.

The boys were as sweet as ever together. It is impossible not to love these guys!

I felt sorry for them for having to choose which part of their relationship to hide. But the world is not ready for their kind of love. Maybe never. Which is wrong when you really start to think about it... First you probably think that it is just wrong to love a brother like that. Period. But really - why?
They are hurting no one - not other people, not each other. They can't get pregnant so no medical problems will occur with possible children. They are without a doubt equals in their ability to choose to love each other. Just brothers, about the same age too.

I do have to think though if I would feel the same if it was a sister and a brother...I think I would probably have a problem with that. There is the possibility of getting pregnant present...

Damn this is interesting. I really enjoy when the books I read make me question my own values and limits... Moving on to the next book in the series!

I enjoyed this but not as much as the first book. I loved the drama, story, and build up in the first one; it was interesting and kept my attention. This second one kind of bored me tbh. I liked that we got to see Kevin and Jeremy finally being together and embracing their feelings and newfound freedom. But I found myself skimming as the story progressed and no longer interested. I love Kevin and Jeremy and their relationship, but this left more to be desired imo. I didn’t really care for the “giggling girls” storyline. I know it was used as a plot device for the MMCs to label their relationship for the public and figure out what they would tell people, but the girls annoyed me, especially Chelsea. What an as*hole. Also, I didn’t mind all of the inner thoughts in book one, but they started to get to me in this. There was just so many, and they were quite frequent and lengthy. Like paragraphs and paragraphs of thoughts and feelings. It started to feel repetitive. I almost DNFed but decided to push through. As much as I love the MMCs and the first book, I’m not sure if I’ll continue this series. This book definitely gave me the impression things will continue to be dragged out both writing-wise (with there being lots of inner thoughts and feelings) and story-wise. May come back to it later.

WOW! This series just keeps getting better and better! Jeremy and Kevin have now moved out on their own, living as a couple and exploring one another completely and totally. It's really a fantastic story, albeit "unconventional". However, you can't deny the excellent writing style and skills of M.A. Innes. Truly amazing! You hang on every word and can't wait to see how this love story unfolds. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series; actually, I can't wait. I need to know how these young men/brothers in love continue to live their lives together, on their terms, regardless of what their parents or society thinks. Jeremy and Kevin aren't looking for anyone's approval. They just want to be together as a couple, continue with their education, work and experience their love as one. Again, I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I only have one question for M.A. Innes. How long do the readers have to wait? LOL

Well hello there steamy goodness! Ah, I loved the smexy time scenes in this story. Jeremy and Kevin and figuring out their relationship and dynamic, while trying to also figure out how to present themselves to the people on campus. I fully approve of Kevin’s idea in case you were wondering.

We “meet” three girls who are utterly fascinated by Jeremy and Kevin and desperately want them at their beginning of school year party. That isn’t really their scene, but they find themselves at the party anyway. Now, these girls give me the creeps and if that continues further into the series, I can see them causing issues for the guys down the road. Just what they need right?

Nothing earth shattering in this one, it was just an entertaining read.

Hot

Is it just me or is it sweaty in here? The second book in this series is just as good as the first and as advertised it’s even hotter. Jeremy and Kevin leave home and move to college. Upon arriving they quickly realize they will need to define their relationship to the outside world sooner than they expected. In all the planning, Jeremy never thought about how they would need to present themselves to the people in their day to day lives. Off to grab the third book!!

Having escaped their mother and gotten settled in to their new apartment on campus, Kevin and Jeremy start to tackle the inns and outs of how to face the world.
Which includes wall shattering loud sex and annoying neighbours. And having read M.A Innes other books, there have already been a taste of how wall shattering they can be.
I look forward to reading more about the two and how they become the way they are in the later books when they meet our gang of littles and pups.

Brothers Jeremy and Kevin are now adapting to their new relationship and their new apartment. In this book in the series, they determine their cover story and discuss day-to-day logistics. They also work out an understanding about the sexual aspects of their relationship. While there were no big surprises in this book, it was a necessary transition from their previous platonic relationship to their new one as lovers living together.

Nice follow up/continuation of the first book, but i wish we got to see them interact with people more and maybe to see what college life is like for them, but since this book covers just a day/night in their lives i'm hoping for another book in this serie were we do get to see them living their lives and enjoying college life/working life.

I liked how the boys were settling in. And trying to make their new apartment a home. And just trying to get use to the new norm for them. And discovering each other physically.

But... really wasn’t feeling how long their sex scenes were. They went on for awhile. A couple of pages.

But overall. Ok.

Sometimes it's fun to see the "after" part of the story: after the confession, after the escape, after the happily ever after. Kevin and Jeremy need to deal with real life now, and all the potential pitfalls therein. Luckily, they seem to have a decent communication habit already ingrained, which will be helpful as they continue to explore their new relationship.

I love that we get to see Jeremy and Kevin begin to find their way as a couple. This book gives us the two of them preparing for college and the building of their lives together away from their parents. Jeremy is the loving, protective planner that I fell in love with in book 1. He is always making sure Kevin is taken care of and protected no matter how much stress he is under. My heart just aches for these two. I just want to reach out and hug them.
