In this exciting follow-up episode to Solaris, the crew of the Star Streaker lands on another planet with no plan other than to lay low... and stay out of trouble. As part of this plan, Solaris arranges to meet another smuggler, a woman with chilling scars and a dubious past. In exchange for a cool upgrade for the Star Streaker, Rance agrees to transport a mysterious piece of cargo for their new contact. But when the cargo is opened, Rance realizes their small smuggling job has just become infinitely more dangerous.
With a new enemy in pursuit, Rance must decide what to do with their valuable cargo. Drop it and run, or risk the lives of her crew (again)?
*This book is no longer available on Amazon. It has been combined with Solaris and expanded into a novel. That new Book 1 for the Star Streaker series is now called Wizard's Flight.*
T.M. Catron is the Star Streaker series and various short stories. Her stories tend to include strong female characters (or those who want to be strong) and fun, twisty plots.
Catron enjoys reading, writing, camping, hiking, and really big cups of coffee. Find her at tmcatron.com where she posts snippets of upcoming books and occasionally emotes about writing. Or connect on Facebook at authortmcatron, and Twitter @tmcatron.
Currently, Catron lives in Tennessee with her husband, son, and three spoiled dogs.
kindle unlimited, GUESS, since as this one so plainly says above it's #2, the followup to #1 SOLARIS, which had the name changed, so #2 on amazon is showing Prometheus Rescue (Star Streaker Book 2), but there is much more confusion and name changes, see the 4 pack list and the other list below -- in 4 pack Solaris listed #1 as because doesn't show up AT ALL on amazon, #1 shows as #1 The Wizard's flight, BUT has different story in part, so made already confusing to to 'no way to even tell the order of the books', at least the blurb. The collection shows Defiance as #3 yet on amazon just lists, sorta, in blurb, that it's prequel book, so #3 is actually listed on amazon as Persephone Evasion (Star Streaker Book 3) ON AMAZON BUT here on goodreads has same book listed as #5, from all this crap just trying to figure out which book, which title, to read in which order, and the content of the story, my best suggestion is not to bother with reading any of them, listS at end of review.

The set I read includes the supposedly first 4 published books: Episode #1 Solaris THIS one does NOT show up on amazon, instead Wizard's Flight, which TOTALLY skips what happened to the butlet and how main character's friend shows up as pilot, and where he was in all this before. Lists #1 Wizard's Flight: A Space Opera Adventure (Star Streaker Book 1) but not exact story as THIS #1, totally different time frame, 2 to 5 years later or else since the books/order so messed up, and attempting to figure order to read, looking at multiple books, but none make sense! Episode #2 The Deliverance Code Episode #3 Defiance--flashback episode (prequel) Episode #4 Prometheus Rescue Includes an additional short story, “A Conversation”
BELOW is order shows on amazon, so by this Solaris ? NAME CHANGE TO the Prometheus is 2, Persephone is ?, and the additional ones have not seen listed separately. Wizard's Flight: A Space Opera Adventure (Star Streaker Book 1) Prometheus Rescue (Star Streaker Book 2) Persephone Evasion (Star Streaker Book 3)
Well written short story in the star streaker universe. More like the old style serials from the scifi magazine past. Story starts from the end of book 1 and was somewhat entertaining for me. Liked revisiting Rance and her crew again. They do seem to be on a streak of odd circumstances. Cool setup for the next chapter in the series. Cannot wait for the next one. Funny in a few scenes and head shaking for the others. The crazy is still going strong.
Continuing on from book 1, the crew of the Star Streaker land on an new planet and look for work and some way to change the registration of the ship. Once again good but too short.
Very good read even though it was short it still was great. Have finished the first 2 getting ready to start number 3. Thanks for writing good reads . Keep up the good work.
This was a interesting read, just a short story that helps the story along. The simple task of getting a new registration for the Star Streaker, turns out to be more problematic than expected. Good read.
