Better the devil you know than the Devil you don’t. At least that’s what they say. This is a standalone of about 180 pages with a Happily Ever After ending and No cliffhanger. This book also contains several additional bonus stories to enjoy!
Cara Warden has been chosen by Aldrich to be his bride. Saying no to Aldrich isn’t an option. He owns the food source, the water, and the weapons that protect the town from the creatures outside the wall that surrounds the town.
When Cara can’t say no and refuses to say yes, she’s left with only one option. She’ll have to escape Aldrich. She’ll take her chances against the creatures who’ve killed every hunter who’s dared leave the town since the shifter pack arrived.
Outside the wall, she’s being stalked by one of the shifters. He calls himself Darian. He’s dangerous and mysterious. Cara can’t figure out if he’s trying to help her or if he’s just toying with her, playing with his food.
Will Cara be able to escape Aldrich? Will Darian be the creature who spares her or will he be the devil that leaves her to the wolves?

Amelia Wilson has dedicated her life to writing. She is a firm believer in the power of love to conquer all, and her works reflect this belief. Her paranormal romances are known for their love stories, action and suspense. She creates immersive worlds that are rich in detail and full of emotion. Writing has always been very close to her heart. When she is writing a novel, she travels into that world and attaches her emotions to the story. She expresses herself better in written words than she could ever do verbally. She believes in love, and that love can conquer all, which is the reason why she is a writer of romance. She wants all the people, who have been hurt in love, not lose hope as fate changes and soon enough you all will find your one true love. Her books are a great way to satisfy your craving for paranormal romance with action, love and suspense.
Plot: Cara is a human living in a walled town. She's been promised to the leader of the town, Aldrich, and when he tells her it's time for their wedding, she makes a run for it. Even the dangerous "outside" full of vicious shifters is better than marrying Aldrich. Once on the outside, Cara is stalked by Darian, leader of the nearby shifters, who thinks she is a threat. When he finally gets to interact with her, he realizes that not only is she not a threat but she's also his fated mate. Both Cara and Darian have some old prejudices to examine, and one final (actual) threat to deal with.
Character development: I'll be honest - I found Darian to be a fairly weak alpha. I mean, he could use his alpha voice to command, but he let shifters like his two pack dissidents get away with being less than respectful and actually trusted them with his mate. He just seemed a little wishy-washy. Cara was better though - strong and decisive. She felt so guilty about what she hadn't done for others back in the town, but she was so young and shouldn't have had to do anything - there were people there that were supposed to protect her and they didn't.
Love Beyond the Wall is a great story. Cara has been living in Aldrich Town. Unfortunately, Aldrich, its ruler, has chose Cara for his next bride. As the idea of becoming Aldrich bride looms on the horizon, Cara chooses to escape. Luckily she gains assistance from a guard on the wall. Once Cara escapes she encounters one of the dreaded shifters she has heard about. Fortunately for her, all that she has heard is lies. Darian and the Rizer pack have been living outside of Aldrich Town since before the creation of its wall. While on the outskirts of pack territory he encounters what he assumes at first is a hunter from Aldrich Town. After realizing his error, he brings Cara into Rizer pack territory. The characters of Darian and Cara had to learn to move beyond learned their learned prejudices to destroy a common enemy. This is not an insta love type of story. Both characters learn a lot about each other, their pasts and about the different misconceptions each has. I liked the growth I read in each character. It had a very satisfactory, happy ending. A good beginning to a series.
Cara lives in fear. The whole town does. When she was told she was to wed Aldrich she knew she had to take drastic measures if she wanted to live. She barely escapes going over the wall that keeps all inside like prisoners. She is found by a wolf shifter. Not just any wolf shifter, the alpha. Feeling guilty that he inadvertently hurt a female, he brings her to his home. He recognizes her as his mate. Cara is too afraid of men to respond to him with anything but fear. Will she learn to trust him? Will the tenderness and kindness he shows her help her to realize that not all men are like Aldrich?
An addictive read that kept me up too late, this series is well written and hard to put down. The characters will have you pulling for them as they struggle to free themselves from their oppressive existence. Yes, there are many places where the author could have benefited from a better editor, but those gaffes did not degrade too much from my enjoyment of the literary journey. I couldn't stop reading it once I started, so for a whole day, I was glued to my kindle, waiting for the happy endings. I highly recommend this series!
Love Beyond the Wall is the first book in A Rizer Pack Shifter series and the first book I have read by Amelia Wilson. There are several missing words and punctuation errors in this version, but the world and character building are good and the storyline is well done. This book is a good fast paced start to a series, with good versus evil, the misunderstandings that become engrained with being inundated with false information, mystery, shifter magic, family honor and fated love. I look forward to reading the second book in this series.
This is my first time reading one of Amelia's books, and I was hooked from the first chapter. Cara’s daring escape from the town and the dictator is what causes her to meet her first shifter and her soon to be mate, Darian, but will they make it through all the challenges?? This book will most certainly go on my read again list and I know I will be reading more of Miss Amelia. I hope you enjoy!!! Happy reading!!!!
Cars has been taught to fear the shifters beyond the wall. Darian will do anything to protect his lack from Aldrich and his followers. When Cars and Darian actually talk they begin to discover where facts fall off, and assumptions and fears filled in the gaps.
This story has a strong abuse plotline, and some characters that are interesting to try and decide whether or not we can trust.
First book in the Rizer pack series. Cara has been raised behind the wall and has been taught lies about the shifters outside the wall but when she is going to be forced to marry the man she hates most she breaks out. Adrian the Alpha of the Rizer pack saves her when he discovers he can't kill her because he thought she was a hunter who was sent out to kill his wolves. She is his mate and earns her own way into the hearts of his pack.
Love the shifter reads, and this was a good start to the new year. 5 shifter stories, with different couples finding love within the Rizer Pack. Each book was about each couple but all characters took part making a really good series. Good plots, stories and characters, and a good finale. My only negative is the grammatical errors, there were quite a few making the sentences fall out of sync. Getting past that these make good reading and I did enjoy this box set.
I absolutely loved this book. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the series. Cara finds herself running for her life to escape the fate of becoming the wife to the one man everyone fears in her village. But, with a change of fate she finds herself among the Rizer pack and with raised to believe shifters are mindless beasts can she let her fear go. Will she become the next alpha female or will her old life prevent her from moving on with a good man.
This was a quick shifter read. I liked the overall idea and the fast paced romance aspect. I was sad that the story ended at 20% of the book. I wish that had been in the blurb so I was prepared. I liked the determination that Cara had. She wasn’t weak and made the perfect match for Darian, the alpha of the pack. Overall I felt unfulfilled. I wanted more. I would be willing to read 3 stars #2OCC Reviews
This one started off ok. Cara escaped from inside the wall to keep from having to marry the leader who is a masochistic jerk. Outside there are creatures that she has always been warned about and they capture her. All that was cool...but then cara went from the reactions of a normal person to being "tough" all of a sudden. I hate that most authors seem to think that a tough female needs to be stubborn to the point of stupidity or just a nasty person. Its a complete turnoff for me.
Love Beyond the Wall by Amelia Wilson was an intriguing story line. At the start I didn't like where she was taking the reader. I don't much like a dark story that puts women as the under dog. However the more I read I under stood the reasoning for the way is was being played out.The tale shows how the heroine grows stronger and the ability to reason for herself. I enjoyed this book and will read the rest of the series.
i loved this variation on a theme of shifter tales. cara is trapped in aldrich town about to be forced to wed aldrich when she decides to escape. she goes into the forest and meets up with darien, alpha of rizer. she iz terrified but comes to accept the help, and love, and knowledge that she is ignorant of their kind. it is a pretty good tale of love and redemption in a world where not all is as it seems.
This is a great must read book it will keep you reading until the very end. It’s about a wolf shifter called Darian and a human female called Cara who escaped her the town alderick where she and everyone is held captive by the owner Alderick. Darian finds Cara and realizes that she is his fated mate but she must put a stop to Alderick before her kills again. Will Darian let her go and can she succeed in her mission.
This book was a great reading experience. It takes a different view of the shifter/human relationship and reverses it so its the humans who are persecuted. The story was well written and the characters well developed. Cara's struggle and the dynamic between her and Darien is gripping. Its has a HEA ending and no cliffhanger. I can't wait to read more of the series!
Cara had to escape Aldrich Town as there was no way she was going to marry someone she didn't love. Once out meeting Darian the Alpha wolf shifter changed her view and attitude of what she had been told. Readers should enjoy following the tale of these two people who are fated to be together. I would highly recommend this book.

A Rizer Wolfpack is a series where each book is easily read in one sitting. I enjoyed the dynamics between the characters. I loved the premise and we start with wolf shifters and then branch into others species of shifters. Finding their mates and fighting for what they believe in peace, family and love.
This was the first book in series. It has an interesting concept and storyline. I liked that Darian is a strong alpha but he is just and merciful. Cara is stubborn and strong in her need to avenge her people. It was a good start!
A good introduction to the series it was a bit more cerebral than I anticipated but I liked how she learned about the community and how her and the wolves relationship evolves love the ending was a bit anti-Climactic
The story did have me amazed with Cara. She can be strong in her own way and prove to everyone how determination can help with achieving their goals. Sadly the only issue is the book was short and you don't read much of what happened to Darian and Cara.
Well written... for some reason I was looking for more action.....was there another book before this one? The way it was written feel as if it's the prelude to an even bigger story.... Either way it was a good short story of survival for shifters and protecting those living behind a wall.
In need of a serious lookover with an editor. Otherwise it was good for what it was, Cara did annoy me a lot and she was frustrating. The premise was good, I liked the different take on werewolves. If it wasn't for the terrible editing and a frustrating Cara I'd give it 4 stars.
This is an interesting and different take on human and shifter interaction. Humans live in a town surrounded with walls to keep them in and shifters out. A woman escapes and ends up as the alpha female. The ending is very good.
Cara and Darian have a rough first meeting, struggle to trust and be free. Cara comes from a town rules by a tyrant, will he find her or can Darian and his family save her and the town. Read to find out
