This third installment is probably my most favorite of the three. It was neat how the assassin story evolved over the 3 anthologies. One of my favorite stories in this was a super cool zombie video game. I love video games, and it was super detailed and fun. Reading about people gaming made me want to play the game. (well, until the end). A couple stories ( even the game one) felt like perhaps there could be a sequel. I believe there was also a vamp story that could be extended. Does that mean we'll get a 4th book? Also, Mcgregor's mind is very creative. For such short stories, each one of them packs a punch. For example, this author took a New Years party of rich and elite people in a totally unexpected direction. Most of them ended or had some sort of unexpected twist. Overall, this book is fun

Imaginative tales!

While this book could perhaps benefit from an editor if you're willing to look past that the tales within are imaginative and thought provoking. I didn't find them too horrifyingly scary but I'm pretty tough to scare. Will definitely be on the lookout for more from this author.

Amazing

This book is worth five stars. It is a wonderful book of stories. I would love to see them turned into a movie of short stories or even a little mini series called Keep Away From the Window. All three books were well written to perfect Satisfaction. The author has an Amazing creative mind. I would recommend this book and the first two as well to anyone who loves Hitchcock and Bradbury. Martin truly can stand with these legends.

There is a piece of music called The World Through My Eyes, and in some respects I feel that it has a parallel viewpoint to this collection of short stories by Martin McGregor.
When The Bough Breaks is perhaps the most chilling story. It’s hard to say why without giving away the idea. Let’s just say that horror based on real life is more important than a vicarious reading of horror, as in fantasy horror.
The Dream Collectors gave me a distinct impression that JG Ballard and Brian Aldiss might be amongst this author’s influences. This is a disturbing story. Given the power of present-day tech, who can say? I failed to anticipate the chilling ending.
The Sin Eater has an awful logic to it. McGregor has taken an interesting concept and taken it to its logical but horrible conclusion.
I’m going to rate The World In My Eyes as four stars, based on the average between content (storytelling) which I think is five stars, and the prose, which has room for improvement, as 3.5 stars. (I found it incongruous to read stories in American English that are most definitely set in England.) Because the stories are fresh and original, I’m definitely interested in reading the first two books in the series.
