France, October 1944: Fort Driant may be a 19th century anachronism, but it proves itself an impregnable obstacle to Patton's forces as they fight to seize the city of Metz, a gateway to Germany. Another fortress—a Flying Fortress—may be the key to the fall of Fort Driant. The Moon brothers are in the thick of the battle as Tommy volunteers for Operation Aphrodite, a gambit that turns unmanned heavy bombers into radio-controlled flying bombs of enormous power. But as zero hour for Aphrodite approaches, his brother Sean is trapped in the tunnels of Fort Driant, with the Germans just inches away behind armored doors. It's a race against time for the GIs to take Driant—or escape before the Flying Fortress falls.

Well written books based on real events. The Moon brothers are always helping each other out. Great series well researched. Anyone who has served recognizes the characters that the Moon brothers associate with. The book captures the time, the spirit and the brotherhood of World War II solders.

Excellent WW2 story

A different battle field saga, that predates the battle of the bulge. Characterization could have been stronger, with good intrigue and intensity

This is a well written, fast paced alternative history book. The author masterfully inserts just a slight alteration of history that is more nuanced than most alternative history books are. The result is a book of fictional history that is so close to the actual history that, though fiction, it still feels real.

Another double action thriller with the two Moon brothers fighting and winning their way through the Nazi's best (and weakest) defenses. Gripping coverage and plenty of insight into the lives and deaths of the greatest generation.

Intense book

This was a very enjoyable and intense book. It kept me wanting to turn the page to see what happens next. It has enough history to make it seem like these brothers are real and it actually happened. Looking forward to reading the rest in this series.

good 2nd story in a series

I enjoy the back and forth between the tanks and fighter pilots. The author also gets the political aspects of the military correct. I will continue the series. I have read this as part of Kindle Unlimited

Good read

Story is good and in line with vol. 1. I realize it may not be cost effective but you could give a little more attention to editing.😊

A good historical novel about WW II and two brothers, one who is a tanker and one who flies P47s. This story revolves around the attempted capture of the fort at Metz.
