Eidolon

Rate this book
An Eidolon is a spirit-image of a living or dead person; a shade or phantom look-alike of the human form. These poems explore the discrepancies between who we are for others and who we are alone. With linguistic dexterity reminiscent of the early Wallace Stevens, Eidolon is charged with living energies that coalesce and disperse in patterns of sound and light.

A feat of language—the kind of verse that needs to be performed to be fully understood. I could imagine it on a stage, and had the most success reading it aloud to myself.
