One Taste is a hot as hell box set of 4 of Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott's spiciest romances.
Insatiable by Cari Quinn: 4 stars. Insatiable features Rachel and Shawn, best friends who become lovers. BFs turned lovers is one of my favorite tropes and Cari does it beautifully here. Rachel and Shawn have been tied together since before birth. Their families are best friends, so by nature, they become best friends, too. Shawn has been in love with Rachel for years, probably forever, and the time has finally come for him to claim his best friend as his woman. Insatiable is sexy and I love Shawn. He's sweet and hot, and bound and determined to make Rachel see how in love with her he is. I don't like Rachel, and it's the only reason I can't give Insatiable 5 stars. She is so frustrating, so wishy washy and so indecisive with Shawn that I'm surprised he put up with her as long as he did. Frankly, he could have done a lot better than Rachel. But, Insatiable is well written, angsty and full of steam, so I could put up with a bitchy, indecisive heroine.
Suspended by Taryn Elliott: 5 stars. Suspended features Kendall and Shane, surprise step siblings. Kendall has come to claim the inheritance left to her by her long estranged father. She discovers she has a previously unknown stepbrother, Shane, who is more than a little unhappy to discover that not only does he have a stepsister, but he also has to share his inheritance with said stepsister. Kendall and Shane steam up the pages and both are interesting, likable characters. Kendall, in particular, is awesome. She's sweet, and funny, and a perfect match for the stoic, loyal, alpha Shane.
Virgin Territory by Cari Quinn: 5 stars. Virgin Territory is my favorite of the 4. It features Vincent and Kikki. Vincent is a computer techie guy and an erotic romance writer on the side. Kikki is the gas station convenience mart worker he's been lusting after for months. Crazy things happen, he gets shot trying to protect her from a robber, and the next thing you know, they're working off their sexual tension while she works for him and helps him get "unstuck" and finish his latest novel. Kikki is awesome. She's smart and feisty, and she's got it bad for hottie nerd, Vincent. Vincent is perfect for Kikki, and so sweet that it's no wonder she fell in love with him!
Uncross Your Heart by Taryn Elliott: 4 stars. Uncross Your Heart is steamy and well written and the hero, Nate, is to die for! He's the FedEx delivery guy who's been dying to get to know Miranda for years, but she's never really seen him. The poor guy refers to himself as a ficus because that's as much as she notices him, even though he delivers packages to her multiple times per week, for years. It isn't until one night at a club, where they dance together, that she finally notices him. But, things don't go smoothly because Miranda has serious walls around her heart, and it's nearly impossible for Nate to break through them. She is seriously messed up and she continuously hurts Nate, not purposely, but her damaged soul just can't allow herself to be free with him, even though he's the sweetest, kindest guy she could ever have picked. She uses sex, really, really good, steamy sex, as a way of allowing herself to connect with him, but she doesn't actually open herself up to him, and it hurts Nate, especially when he finds out her big secret and that she had been lying to him for their entire relationship. But, thank God she got her head out of her ass and apologized, in a really sweet way, and went back and got her man, because Nate certainly wasn't going to chase her again after having been the chaser their whole relationship, and having gotten himself so burned for his efforts.
If you want a little taste of Cari and Taryn, One Taste is the perfect box set for you.

Only ok for me. A bit too much angst for my liking with lead characters that were hard to get attached to.
Insatiable: Lead female very unlikeable with a storyline that wasn't very believable.
Suspended: Lead male was a bit too nasty for my taste, the lead female (who had every right to be bitter & nasty) was too forgiving .
Virgin Territory: Another female that took the angst too far.
Uncross Your Heart: See above.
While I didn't hate this compilation it was only ok. They all had HEAs & Suspended had a nice epilogue which bought it up from a 3 star to a 4.
All up a 3 1/2 star read.

Missing pages
I would love to get the book when then pages aren't missing. The first book I began reading in this 4 book set seemed like it was a really good book. However, after almost halfway through the book and missing key pages, I simply gave up. As I skimmed through the other book in this set, the problem persisted throughout the entire book. Please fix this problem!! I would LOVE to read it!

Too many sex scenes
Why do authors write in too many very long drawn out sex scenes? Are they trying to make the book longer? Why? It doesn't add to what little story that's left. It just becomes boringly repetitious. I quit reading about a third of the way through the second book. Too bad, because the description sounded good. I was just sick of one sex scene after smother.

Man this dynamic duo knocks it out of the park with this bundle. You get four, YES FOUR, standalone novels that are all very different and unique on their own. None are from the same series and all four left me wanting more of the stories. Such good reads!!

Four Books in one what more can you ask for?? You will Laugh, Cry and you will need to get an extra set of underwear :) after you get done reading this LOL. If you LOVE Cair Quinn and Taryn Elliott as much as I do then get this BOOK!!

Review for INSATIABLE
There’s a little spin on this friends-to-lovers trope. Normally the hero is hesitant to make the leap, but this time the heroine needs convincing. For all her intelligence, Rachel's a little slow on the uptake, because I fell for Shawn immediately. It takes some work, but Shawn is pretty darn persuasive.
This is funny, sweetly romantic, and– in true Quinn & Elliott fashion–incredibly erotic.

5 Stars Book Box Set
Insatiable: I loved Shawn and Rachel's story. Their friendship since childhood to becoming hot sexy lovers. Insatiable is a favorite read of mine by Cari Quinn.
Suspended: A great read from Taryn Elliott. Loved Shane and Kendall's story. So much feels reading their story.
Virgin Territory: Vincent and Kiki's story made me laugh and cry at times. My favorite parts of their story was, when they would banter over the book Kiki was helping Vincent write.
Uncross Your Heart: Nate and Miranda's story just became a new favorite of mine. I loved the story and can't wait for more stories from Taryn Elliott.

Insatiable. Cari Quinn This was a great friends to lovers, Rachel and Shawn are best friends and their families are close. Everyone knows that Shawn and Rachel belong together but Rachel. To watch Rachel fight the truth is nerve wracking and have to wonder what she is doing. But to know how much Shawn loves her you just root for him. This was a great read. Cari Quinn does it again.
Suspend. Taryn Elliot. This was a quick fantastic read. Shane and Kendall didn't know the other existed he was a step son she was a daughter that her father left but now they have to work to together and the chemistry is undeniable. Taryn Elliot's writing again is what draws you in.
Virgin Territory. Cari Quinn. Kiki and Vincent are a great couple that in the end are destined to be together. I was given a copy of this anthology from the authors for an unbiased review.
Okay, nobody who knows me will deny that I'm an unabashed Taryn Elliot/Cari Quinn fan. I love them. Now here's the unbiased part of my review... I could definitely tell that these were earlier works from my fave ladies.
By far my favorite, Insatiable, was one that I'd read before. This was a solid four-star read, and one of my go-to tropes. BFF falls in love with his bestie and convinces her that she loves him too. I mean, how can you not dig that story? There was a bit of angst with some fake-alt-love-interest teasing, but otherwise - flawless. Rom-Com category.
Next up was Suspended. This was much more serious, but I definitely liked this one as well. I'd probably give this four-stars too, even if the edge was given to it because part of it is set in my old stomping grounds of central California. I was really sad for Kendall because of her situation with her father, and it left me a little unsettled. I struggled a little with the rating here - there were reasons to dock it slightly, but ultimately, I liked it too much to lower it from four-stars.
Virgin Territory came next. This may have been my least favorite. I'd probably put this at three-stars, and it surprises me because it's slightly more recent than the other titles included in the anthology (2012). I couldn't put my finger on why I didn't connect with the characters, but that was my main issue. They just didn't seem real to me. And that is the first time this has ever been an issue with these ladies' books. Even the best peeps have an off day, and in this case, it may just be me!
The last story was Uncross Your Heart, and I'd rate it between 3.5 & 4 stars. It was good as well. I found myself rooting for Miranda even though she was keeping a lot of things hidden about her past. Usually that's pretty frustrating for me, but it was pulled off well here. Nate is also great, which helps a lot. *wink*
Overall, a really solid anthology that includes some slightly older (2011-2012) works from Cari & Taryn - so if you're looking to score a few books from their back catalog, this is a super easy way to do it. I rated the entire thing four-stars, you could probably tack .25 on top for the utter convenience of getting all the utter goodness included in one compact tome.
Okay, nobody who knows me will deny that I'm an unabashed Taryn Elliot/Cari Quinn fan. I love them. Now here's the unbiased part of my review... I could definitely tell that these were earlier works from my fave ladies.
By far my favorite, Insatiable, was one that I'd read before. This was a solid four-star read, and one of my go-to tropes. BFF falls in love with his bestie and convinces her that she loves him too. I mean, how can you not dig that story? There was a bit of angst with some fake-alt-love-interest teasing, but otherwise - flawless. Rom-Com category.
Next up was Suspended. This was much more serious, but I definitely liked this one as well. I'd probably give this four-stars too, even if the edge was given to it because part of it is set in my old stomping grounds of central California. I was really sad for Kendall because of her situation with her father, and it left me a little unsettled. I received a copy of this book and chose to review it, and I'm so glad I did! There are 4 unique, full-length, very hot stories to fall into -- especially on a rainy day. I can't say which was my favorite. They are all different and great on their own. READ THIS!!

This is four stories in one book by two great authors. Each one is better than the next. I enjoy the work of these authors as they are always filled with plenty of drama and always a steamy connection. You will really enjoy this one! Here are a review of two of the four books:
Insatiable:Book one in this amazing series is a best friend to so much more book. I thought it was so good! Rachel and Shawn have been friends forever. When Rachel decides to leave, Shawn follows intent on not letting her go. Their story was so good I could not stop until I saw what happened.
Suspended: When her father that left her when she was five dies, Kendall is called to his house. When she arrives she meets Shane the stepson she never met. When the reading of the will messes up both their lives, their story of what happens when they deal with everything was a great story. I enjoyed their determination, their chemistry and most of all their HEA.

One Taste is a box set of 4 of Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott's super-spicy romances. Each of these is a standalone book.
Insatiable by Cari Quinn: Sweet and sexy. Loved Shawn. Loved. Him. Not so much Rachael. BUT, I was able to put that aside to enjoy their story. Friends since forever, their friendship turning into more. Shawn's been in love with Rachel for some time now, and she's too thick-headed to see it. Well written and steamy hot, a quick and easy read. As long as you can deal with Rachel :)
Suspended by Taryn Elliott: This was a pick-it-up-at-every-spare-moment story. I have to say, I thought Shane was a bit of an a**hole at the beginning of the story, but by the end he grew on me. The bit about the rosary didn't hurt (wink, wink). I enjoyed the story, and found the book very easy to get into. It was a quick read for me, and a great ride. Aside from the smoking hot sex scenes, I liked the storyline and of course, I always am a sucker for the Happily Ever After.

Kiki almost has her Master’s degree, was almost married, and is working in a mini-mart. The characters have multiple layers, and they are not necessarily as the rumors would lead you to believe. They are thrown together under intense circumstances, and that level of intensity follows them through to their inevitable bedroom calisthenics. The authors do a great job of building these characters into “real people” with a solid story that capture your attention from the start, and the sex scenes are absolute scorchers.
Uncross Your Heart by Taryn Elliott: Loved. It. Nate is perfect -- gorgeous and charming and funny and human. I love the insecurity of Mr. Ficus, the way Miranda has been under his skin for years yet he does nothing about it. Miranda and MJ -- what can you say about two sides of the same coin? I love the idea of the bad girl trying to be good, but still being a little bad and beating herself over it. And keeping it from Nate. While I wanted to smack Miranda more than once, I was left sighing at nearly every encounter with Nate. When Miranda goes to the extreme to get him back, I cheered inside because I knew they deserved each other and that they are so RIGHT for one another. The supporting cast in Macy, Nate's brothers, and especially Max (I want a 'Max' of my own please) balance the characters perfectly. And did I mention the smoking hot love scenes? Mercy! Definitely a great read!

Four full length steamy stand alone novels.
Insatiable: Shawn Griffin and Rachel Cooper have been friends since childhood. Shawn would like to be more than friends but Rachel is afraid that if they become lovers and something goes wrong she will lose her best friend. There were times in the story that I had a hard time with Rachel, but these two can steam up the pages.
Suspended: This is a step brother romance. It took me a while to like either Kendall or Shawn, but as the story continues we see Shawn's feeling for Kendall start to grow and we are pulled into the story.
Virgin Territory: Vincent is a network analyst who comes in to the Quikky Snak and Gas where Kiki works and is always buying large boxes of condoms. Kiki's friend who works as Vincent's assistant network analyst has told Kiki about Vincent's many one night stands so when Vincent ask Kiki to come home with him she doesn't want anything to do with him. When he is shot trying to protect her one night she feels responsible to help him while he is recovering. But will what she learns about Vincent make her change her opinion of him?
Uncross your Heart: For three years Nate has been delivering packages to Miranda's office. Miranda hasn't even noticed him but that's about to change. The authors draw you into the story by having us experience the ups, downs and emotions of these two.

From a friend to lover to family...... anything is possible. These books (4 in the set) take you to that special place, a boy, a girl, that first touch. That missed beat in your chest with "the" first kiss!!! Oh my word, I fall in love with each character and I cry when I have to leave them. Their anguish and excitement, their fears and triumphs, I experienced as they did. Sometimes you wish you could just stay in their world.....each character in these books made me feel like I never wanted to leave. Awesome reads, from some really good authors.

One Taste is a five star boxed set at a steal of a price! I love Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott, and this boxed set is jam packed with four different books - all completely awesome.
Insatiable is a best friends to lovers story that is beyond awesome. I loved it from the start as it just drew me right in. It's filled with angst and passion. Rachel at times drove me a little nuts, but Shawn stole the scene.
Suspended is a charming read that allows for the pages to be steamed up and has a dynamic duo who compliment each other very well. The whole surprise step brother aspect was an intriguing twist for the story.
Virgin Territory. What need I say? It's another winner from Cari Quinn, and I loved both Kiki and Vincent. It's one of those situations that only appears in a romance novel, and how that first main event plays out impacts the rest of the story.
