Feeling Jealous is a wonderful read. It's a tale about Lucy, Alex, and Martha. Lucy is Alex's younger sister and Martha is Lucy's best friend. Lucy feels her mother doesn't treat her fairly as her brother sleeps at 8:00 pm and Lucy sleeps at 7:00 pm. Martha sees that Lucy is in a rage and throws her stuffed toy hippo. Martha tries to help Lucy to think of the bright side of being a younger sister like she doesn't have to empty the dishwasher or keep the rubbish out. Lucy admits that she doesn't feel jealous of the extra jobs that Alex needs to do. She goes to school and finds that her friend has bought a new hover boat. Lucy's friend Katie feels jealous and cribs that it's not fair that he got a new hover boat as even she years to have one. As a good friend, Lucy helps Katie see the bright side. Katie admits that she has a skateboard which is just like a hoverboard. Moreover, Lucy convinces Katie to save money to buy a hoverboard. Then, Alex and Lucy visit their Aunt who bought a scruffy dog. Alex falls in love with the dog and demands to buy one. Which Lucy replies that their Dad is allergic to animals. Alex feels jealous but Lucy helps him to see the bright side and urges their Aunt to share the responsibility of taking care of the dog. In the end, Lucy is extremely excited about a Sports Competition. She almost visualizes her parents being proud of her performance. But to her dismay she performs miserably in the egg and spoon race. Whereas her brother wins the sports competition. Lucy again feels jealous and her friend Martha comes to her rescue she encourages her to be happy for her brother which is at the moment hard for Lucy. Then, everyone also encourages Lucy to find a sport she is good at and she arrives at swimming. Lucy decides to learn to swim and become a master at it. Lucy begins to feel better and the icing on the cake is when Lucy's brother hangs a medal around Lucy's neck.
