Cristin Harber is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling romance author. She writes sexy romantic suspense, military romance, and new adult. Fans voted her onto Amazon's Top Picks for Debut Romance Authors in 2013, and her debut Titan series was both a #1 romantic suspense and #1 military romance bestseller.
Each Titan and Delta book can be read as a standalone (except for Sweet Girl), but readers will likely best enjoy the series in order. The Only series must be read in order.

Locke has history with Cassidy Noble, a gorgeous red headed reporter. Unfortunately, he hates her and freaks out when he sees her again in the middle of a rescue mission in Russia!
This storyline is imaginatively complex! There are Russian spies, Baltimore Bratva Russian mafia, former KGB agents, and diabolically clever dialogue. The Author, Cristin Harber, has outdone herself; this is a home run of a book! Long, exciting, suspenseful, funny, sensuous, and a crackerjack of a good read!
Holy shizzlesticks, if that wasn't the hottest book in the history of hot books! And I think I said it sometime while reading it, but wow, seriously, I think Cristin Harber outdid herself with Locke's story!
If you think you have seen it all with the Titan books, and that Mrs. Harber has nothing more or new to offer, think again. Because this new addition to the series just proves she has a lot more to tell us about her characters and their universe!
Locke Oliver was the silent, strong guy we met and loved in Bishop's book. But it turns out he has more than just his good looks and calm camaraderie going on under the surface of total self-control. When the Titan team rescues a woman from his past, Cassidy Noble, he snaps and all hell breaks loose. With his job on the line, he has to make peace with his memories of what this woman has done to him, or risk losing it all. And all this, while she's trying to follow a trail full of conspiracies and danger in the name of exposing the truth!
Titan has been expanding. We knew that, and we experienced it with Bishop. But, despite how awesome his story was, nothing can compare with Locke's book! I'm saying this now, and please don't take it lightly, not even the rest of the books! Nothing can prepare you for the shock you're in for when you turn its pages!
Full of intrigue and suspense, Locke and Key had danger written all over it, and the funny thing was, while it's practically there, in your face, you still don't see it coming when it finally hits you. Apart from the knowledge that international crime and warfare are in a state of technological progress - which shows even more not only because it's one of the few things we haven't witnessed fully yet with Titan, despite having read Parker and Bishop, but also from the fact that the older Titan members, especially Jared, were at a loss of what it was the bad guys were trying to do at first - , Mrs. Harber gives us so many things to focus on, it's nearly impossible to remember it and yet it still strikes when you least expect it. With tons of scenes where the new guys are trying to work out the team dynamics, and hot parts that had me chasing my poor panties around my chair, this new book of the Titan series is sure to leave you begging for more, and happy to have added it to your collection.
By the way, the newcomers were not the only ones in need of working things out. Forget the usual "ex-lovers" theme, or the "childhood friends" one. Unlike Cash and Nic, Bishop and Ella, and Jenny and Asher, Locke's past with Cassidy came with a looooot of baggage. And it wasn't the nice kind. Under no circumstances were they more than polite to each other, and the way their paths split up? Let me just say, a Locke who has snapped and refuses to listen to reason is one rare sight, of the panty-melting quality and a quite powerful emotional impact.
But, despite all that, these two managed to get over the bad blood between them, and steadily built a strong relationship. It was fun to watch as it developed, and hot as hell, especially since Locke turned out to be the kind of guy who calls names to show affection. Oh, and let's not forget the dirty talking. Good Lord, that man had a mouth on him, and I can only be grateful for that little detail in his personality! With a fiery woman like Cassidy, Locke's mouth did wonders to the story, and watching them fight most things out, I was almost brought to tears at how perfect they were for each other.
I can only say with certainty, that I will never cease being pleasantly surprised by Cristin Harber. Her talent in military romance is one that needs to be praised constantly, as it is rare and simply mind-boggling!
"Yours." - Cassidy Noble

It took me an extraordinarily long time to go through this book that I'm actually wondering whether it's sort of the end of the Titan series for me right now.
Having been a fan of Titan in the early days, I wondered how Cristin Harber was going to go on with the series after Jared Westin's core team had found their respective HEAs. ‘Locke and Key’ is a book past that particular series arc but I’ve been struggling since the chapter closed on the core team.
I've admittedly found myself lukewarm and half-hearted about the Titan series after Parker's book came out as a dud for me but the biggest problem in ‘Locke and Key' was that I couldn't find any character likeable, despite them having been fantastic protagonists in their own time in previous books who have since undergone some personality transplants. Here, they came across as volatile idiots lacking compassion or any sense of kinship and that famous 'brotherhood-in-arms' spirit which I tend to read about in RS books seemed sorely lacking here. Instead, what I saw was loads of peacock strutting, macho posturing and too many over-the-top type of reactions that felt like petty and unnecessary squabbles.
In essence, the volatility of the characters’ behaviours resulted in my own volatile reactions to difference scenes and dialogues. There were chapters that made me think I could get behind some characters and other chapters that had me rolling my eyes and ready to give up the book. The only things that kept me going were the secondary characters whose fight Titan inevitably became a part of to reunite their family and I read on, cheering for them alone.
Obviously, it’s one of those books that grated on me, but I’m hoping at least, that the overall sense of dissatisfaction with the series might pass. Whether there’ll still be Titan or Delta in my to-be-read list however, well, that's still something that’s up in the air for me.
What was a nice, unexpected adventure that I did not expect! This was my first read from Cristin Harbor and I’m sure it will not be my last. Although this is the 8th book in the series, it can be read as a standalone which is a plus.
Locke and his team work for Titan and they are sent to extract one of their clients from Russia who is a teacher at a high profile private in Washington, D.C. whose students are mainly the kids of high-ranking officials in the government. During the extraction, the team notices that there is also a woman who needs to be rescued as well. This woman is Cassidy Noble and Locke cannot believe his luck. Cassidy is an investigative reporter who Locke blames for the twenty-six deaths of his squad in Iraq when she was reporting about the conditions and manpower available to them. Locke has hated this woman ever since.
Once back in the U.S., a chance encounter brings Locke and Cassidy together as partners to uncover what this teacher was really up to in Russia. From here the plot picks up and the action is nonstop! Locke figures that he will help Cassidy as a start to come to terms with what happened years ago in Iraq, but what he didn’t expect was to develop feelings for her and whole web of craziness when they really find out what the teacher is up to. The story was well written and characters are developed. This was a really enjoyable read and I look forward to getting my hands on more from this author! If you like a book with a little of everything, this is it!

Okay, this story was dialed to eleven from the very first page! Lots of danger, intrigue, action and tense situations, as expected from this series. LOCKE AND KEY is a solid addition to this series and a must-read.
Locke Oliver and Cassidy Noble have something in common: a past shrouded in loss, pain and anger. Locke blames Cassidy for the loss of his Army unit and she lost her career as a result of the fallout from those events. But Cassidy is not one to stay down for long and she's on a quest to rebuild her career, starting with an easy assignment like a soft article on a prestigious school. There is more to the story than what's on the surface and after narrowly escaping death overseas, Cassidy's gut tells her this might be the story she needs.
Locke is determined to keep Cassidy safe from herself and her blind pursuit of the next big story, especially as her subjects are averse to publicity and will not hesitate to get rid of her permanently. But when their investigation connects with a Titan mission, it's all hands on deck to destroy a growing criminal enterprise.
This story has got a lot going on, from helicopter rescues in snowstorms to sex trafficking and fancy military gadgets, plus I learned something new: intel-therapy.
Locke and Cassidy had a really rocky start that didn't really level out for me throughout the story, it just went from acrimonious to a romantic connection. However, my favorite things about this series were on display here - the camaraderie, the honor and integrity, the strength and the goodness of this team and their unflinching support for one of their own.
I really enjoyed LOCKE AND KEY and I would recommend reading the rest of the series too, to make sense of the many characters and inside jokes.
Disclaimer: I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely mine.
Locke and Key is the 10th book in Cristin Harber’s Titan Series that centers around a well funded American Black Ops organization that is very good at getting the job done at all costs. And somehow, there is always a love connection. I have read several books in this series and they are by far the best military romances that I have ever read. I would attribute my affinity for this series to the fact that they always play out like a well-scripted movie with just the right amount of sex, guns, and violence. However, the missions are always of legitimate significance and have some deeper meanings either for the team or the world.
In this installment, we find newer Titan team member Locke Oliver at odds with his emotions after he and the team rescue two people from the Russian Tundra. Locke immediately recognizes one of them as a whistleblowing investigative reporter named Cassidy Noble who he blames for getting several of his former military associates killed in Afghanistan several years ago. The other person turns out to be a man named Alexander Gaev with ties to a Russian crime family. Somehow Locke runs into Cassidy later on in the states and becomes her protector as she tries to figure out her suspicions regarding Alex based on what happened while they were working in Russia. The more time Locke and Cassidy spend together, the closer they become. Locke soon learns that all of his hatred towards Cassidy was based on false information. Once the barriers come down, the clothes come off and things get really steamy. In addition, they both soon figure out that Alex has a bunch of secrets that may be connected to human trafficking.
The main theme of Locke and Key is that things are not always what they seem. There are a lot of layers to everyone and sometimes you have to dig deeper to see the real person. I can appreciate that there is a message to be learned while bullets are flying and lives are on the line. Plus, the Titan team also function as a family and they have some funny banter between them. Locke and Key can be read as a standalone so don’t feel like you need to read the other 9 books as I have not read them all. Eventually, I will definitely have to fill in some of the small details by reading the books I missed.
**Received a copy from the tour company and voluntarily reviewed the book.**
I could have read this as an early copy but was busy with other books at the time so chose to wait and pre order so I could read at my leisure, which I am pleased I did. I very much enjoyed the initial sparks between the two main characters, the gradual realisation of understanding that Locke had made a mistake in their past and then apologising. The gang all stepping in to sort him out. The events that follow are intense, suspenseful and there is some graphic violence. The plot is based around a Russian mafia family and them evolving into the sex trafficking area of crime, exploitation and other stuff. I loved getting to know more of the new members of the teams and their interaction with each other, each have their own strengths but also their more vulnerable sides. I also love how as the series has progressed and each guy finds his other half it softens their edges a bit, makes them a bit more understanding of others and how they may be thinking or feeling. This obviously doesn't take away from their hotness or bossiness in any way but adds to it, makes you love them even more than before. The women to are strong in their own ways just adding another depth to the teams and their own men giving a stronger purpose to all they do in protecting or rescuing others in need. All in all this series just grows with each book, getting better along the way and making you want more.
It's an engaging and entertaining story with a complex hero and heroine, who have quite an antagonistic relationship. This pair share a past, one that they both equate to loss and anger. Whilst Locke is a quiet, brooding alpha who has strong protecting and caring tendencies and is loyal, there is more than meets the eye. Cassidy is a like-able character who is strong, stubborn, very determined and feisty. They have an intense connection, but relationship has quite a bit of push and pull, and personal angst that I quite enjoyed. The love scenes are quite hot, steamy and sexy.
Overall I found Locke and Key to be an enjoyable and entertaining read, that I recommend to anyone who is a fan of the Titan series, or enjoys a military romance or romantic suspense.
Really enjoyed the story. Enemies to lovers, Cassidy and Logan, had a lot to get through in this story. Logan was a great H and Cassidy was a tough as nails h. I will tell you my only pet peeve was the nickname he calls her throughout the book “beauty”, that was annoying and awkward. I just thought that was creepy and weird....just me. The rest of the book I enjoyed. The storyline, suspense, plot, all good....just hated the nickname.
Would I recommend? Yep Am I going to keep reading? Yep already downloaded the Delta book that has Victoria and Ryder’s story, have a feeling that one is going to be a tough read.
A sultry, action packed, fast paced and scorching hot Military Romance with a whole lot of BANG...
All hail the Queen of guns and six-packs...or are they eight packs? Every. Single. Time a Cristin Harber book hits my kindle it's like all my special holidays, birthdays and orgasms rolled into one. FML, my hands are still shacking with excitement over Locke and Key... there's a lot of nervous energy going on, good energy... I may implode. So... Locke Oliver - firstly let's just get one thing straight Cash Harrison is MY Titan guy (I absolutely blame Cristin for my deliriously swoony Cowboy fascination... obsession... whatever is...), anywho, it would take a miracle for any other Titan macho to take his place - although, Javier from Delta... can I just have them both? It doesn't have to be at the same time and I'm open to sharing - I think? Maybe. I can give it a whirl. Anyway, Locke. Locke. Locke. LOCKE. Well, he came so close to knocking Cash off his pedestal. He was broody, wild and he bites! Someone, fan me, please! Combustion is about to happen...
As with all her books Cristin's plot development is impeccably flawless. I was completely engrossed from beginning to end. Not just because Locke had me eating out of his hand, but because as with all her stories every single twist and turn was crafted to perfection and with the soul purpose of gripping you. There were more bam bams and pop pops than in a Daddy Yankee and Pitbull rap put together. I'm not even going to pretend that my favourite part of this book wasn't the heart attack inducing action, because that would just be a stupid thing to do - on my part. Locke is hot headed and domineering and sexy... Back to the action, a lot goes on in this book - I think this plot is probably one of the most sophisticated ones to date because you have the most heartbreaking backstory, you have the present story and then there's the Alex's tragic backstory and present story. The genius of this book is that all four stories are all so well interwoven and the flow is just on pointe that although the story is told from three perspectives it is still an easy plot to follow.
When it comes to her characters, Cristin Harber always fails to disappoint. Although I clearly have my favourites, there's not one single character of hers I dislike. OK, so maybe I hate the bad guys... obviously, because if there's one thing Cristin always makes me want to do - it is kick the baddies butt. Actually, the sentiment is a little more violent and out of control... but hey! I found Cassidy just amazeballs. She kind of reminds me of Nicola, a red headed blue-green eyed version. I loved that she was tough and brazen (in a good way). There are some facets of her that show just how much of an alpha-female she is. In short, she is EVERYTHING a Titan heroine should be; strong, smart, tenacious, savvy and drop dead gorgeous. I've had a girl crush on Lois Lane for forever, and Cassidy Noble has well and truly taken her place.
I know I've said this already but Locke is really just gobsmackingly wonderful. You know when you were little and you would lick something to make sure no-one else would touch it because it was marked as yours? Well, there were moments that I was like... I want to lick you. I need to lick you. Mine! Although, I wouldn't want to cross Cassidy, but everything has its risk - right? I think the reason why I loved Locke so much is because he's somewhere between Cash and Javier but with a little Jared thrown in... I need to invest in air-con because open windows are not enough any more! He has the whole alpha-male thing bolted tight, but at the same time he also has these moments of emotional vulnerability that make him so endearing and they soften him to the point that you feel those "strings" tie you to him.
I loved that although the majority of the story focuses on just Cassidy and Locke, the other Titan guys make an appearance and they instil this sense of familiarity. There were these moments of nostalgia for me of where the core guys are developing the newbies and it just had this heart-warming feel. I don't know, maybe it's my maternal side coming out - but again there was this sense of character development to the Titan series in general. When it came to Alex, I didn't love him - but, because you have his backstory that is sad and tragic in a way I couldn't think of him completely as a villain... or the bad guy. Maybe I'm going soft. I blame motherhood if that is the case.
Cristin is the kind of writer who really embeds a part of her heart and soul in everyone of her Heroes and Heroines. She has this easy going and sultry sass that makes you completely lose yourself within her world. I don't think there will ever be another author that writes guns, sex and heroes like she does. She had me feeling like I was in a pressure cooker the whole way through Locke and Key with the sexual tension and the scorching chemistry between Locke and Cassidy. Yet, the sex plays such an emotive pivotal element within the story that although it is explicit and HOT... arousing even it is also another element of character and plot development which Cristin uses in an ingenious way.
I absolutely ADORED Locke and Key. It's right up there with Garrison's Creed, Sweet Girl, Sweet One and Delta: Revenge. Although it is the twelfth book in the Titan Series, it can be read as a standalone. I'm just going to pre-warn you though, this series is more addictive than a tube of Pringles. Reading one will only give you the need to read them all!
Every new Titan novel published is like coming home. Each one is a favorite in it's own way, and Locke and Key doesn't fail to provide the same feels and swoons that have been present since Winters arrived on the scene in book one, and with this 17th book in the Titan/Delta world that is quite the accomplishment!
I absolutely LOVE Locke and his Cassidy. Trying to put into words the how and why and intensity of it is so difficult! I fell in love with Locke quickly, feeling his pain and struggle, but yet proud of the strength and tenacity that wells up within him to discover the truth and to not let go of what's in front of him. Cassidy has a Titan strength all her own, with her determination, bravery, and convictions. Once they both found the way past history and the sparks between them changed from icy blue to red hot - hang on tight - the ride only gets better!
These moments before I kiss you? I'm loving every second...
So many themes continue to be threaded throughout Titan: love, family, loyalty, beauty, courage, strength, honesty, truth, endurance, encouragement, laughter. No matter who's facing what, Titan is there, giving what's needed, whether it's dropping nuggets of truth the only way Boss Man Jared can, handing out weapons to grown men with the joys of kids getting their favorite treat, or providing a safe place to learn and grow and breathe. Some pretty tough topics are also brought to life in their story, ones that'll break your heart and bring you to tears, and some that'll make you pause and question what's really going on.
If you like reading romantic suspense with a military/black ops feel, if you like reading slow burn stories, if you want to experience everything from laughter to fear, swoons to groans, if you just want to be swept off your feet and land in a world surrounded by Titan and all that they stand for... get LOCKE AND KEY!!!
I loved Locke and Cassidy. Locke was stubborn, even when faced with the truth until reality smacked him in the face. Cassidy doesn’t back down, especially when it means lives are at stake. She has integrity and tells it like it is. No BS’ing from her. Butting heads at first, more from Locke being stubborn, they eventually find how well they fit together. I loved every minute of it. I also love the glimpses of Delta team, and can’t wait to read those books now.
A proper hate-to-love romance based on a complex history and irresistible chemistry! This one really knocked my socks off with the believability of the rage and fury that Locke had towards Cassidy while coming to terms with the truth. This was full of action and suspense, with a great balance of their romantic development.

I’m tempted to make this my shortest book review ever:
CRISTIN HARBER IS AWESOME! READ LOCKE AND KEY NOW! IT’S GREAT!
But I won’t leave it at that because, one, Cristin Harber deserves more words than that, and two, I think a three sentence review would be frowned upon…
Really, though, if you are a fan of military romance/romantic suspense, you NEED to be reading the Titan series. Yes, NEED. She’s one of the best in this genre (and for me, I can’t think of anyone I’ve read who I think does it better). Ms. Harber has this unique writing style that I find very appealing. Her words are descriptive, but not flowery. The dialogue is witty, her characters are charming. The plots of her stories are action packed and move at such a fast pace I frequently find myself staying up WAY past when I should have gone to bed because I’m so drawn into the story I can’t put my Kindle down!
Locke and Key is no exception to the Cristin Harber, Titan series rule. Chapter one starts right off with a rescue mission in Russia. The Titan team has been dispatched to retrieve a male teacher from Washington DC, only when they arrive they discover there’s also a woman. Not a problem, Titan can handle anything thrown their way. But it’s actually a big problem for new team member Locke Oliver, because that woman is someone from his past, and he pretty much hates her guts.
Cassidy Noble lost her job and her reputation after an Army unit she was embedded with was ambushed, resulting in the deaths of 26 of Locke’s brothers-in-arms. She followed the teacher to Russia in an attempt to scoop a story that would revive her dead journalism career. Even though Cassidy knows Locke blames her for the ambush, she tries to take the opportunity to do some explaining anyway.
Once everyone has been returned safely to the States, Locke learns Cassidy may not be as responsible for the attack as he believed, and when he randomly rescues her (again) after a flat tire, the sparks between them start to fly.
“Kisses that catch fire aren’t fake.” [Best friend Jennifer] punctuated the sentiment with a pointed heap of cookie dough. “They might be a million things. Scared. Too soon. Never enough. But you can’t pretend a spark doesn’t shine.”
Before they know it, Locke and Cassidy can’t stop thinking about each other. And Locke can’t stop following Cassidy around, because he knows she’s after a story that involves the Russian mafia. When Cassidy’s hunch, and the Titan’s Delta team’s new job become one and the same, Titan uses Cassidy as bait for some seriously bad dudes. Locke isn’t crazy about the idea, but talking Cassidy out of working the op is useless. So off they go, back to Russia.
Locke leaned close to her ear, far too personal for what she was supposed to be, and whispered, “I will bring you home.” Cassidy nodded as they kept walking, and he couldn’t drag his lips away, even as Jax glanced back and the loudspeaker was calling for their flight to board. “Nothing will happen to you, Beauty. Whatever you do, believe in me.”
Of course, the good guys always win in the Titan World. The men are brave and fight to-the-death for the women they love. The bad guys lose, and the hero and heroine live happily-ever-after. And it’s a wild ride along the way!
There did happen to be one aspect of Locke and Key that I wasn’t particularly fond of, and that’s all the narrative about how hot and bothered Cassidy was by Locke. I can only hear so many times about how hard the hero makes a heroine’s nipples and how wet he makes her panties before I start to roll my eyes. He’s hawt...her body is reacting...I got it. And there was a lot of that kind of description in this book - way more than I ever remember there being in Ms. Harber’s other books. There’s a lot of that kind of writing these days - especially in new/young adult romance - and it’s something I could do without.
Each of the Titan series books can be read as standalones. However, part of the charm of the characters is knowing their personalities and all the back stories, how they interact with each other. All of the books are great, so I highly recommend you read them ALL. I have a few favorites amongst the 13 Titan series books, but I’ve read all of them so many times, and I think you’d enjoy them as well!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Patriotism and Honor.
Locke is a passionate man, but a very subdued man. Still waters run deep. He doesn’t say much until he has something to say. He feels betrayed. He is trying to deal with the gut-wrenching grief that he is living with 24/7 from the loss of his entire Unit. Locke feels as though no one understands the depth of his rage and grief.
Cassidy is a hard-nosed journalist. She is a journalist fallen from grace. She is a traitor, maybe. Cassidy witnessed the death of Locke’s entire Unit and when it comes time to tell the truth to her government, she won’t betray her sources. She is painted as a liar and a traitor. The fall from grace is very hard.
These two people have such a very intense connection. Locke can’t see beyond his anger and feelings of hatred against Cassidy who just wants a chance to talk and explain her actions. Feelings get in the way and danger is around the corner with the Russians. Cassidy gets involved in a situation where she is in way over her head and it could very likely get her killed. Locke isn’t going to let that happen. Not on his watch.
I love these Titan men. They are the epitome of strength, honor and integrity. Even the wives of the Titan group are tough and kick-ass. I would be very appreciative of any one of these warriors if they were to be in my corner if stuff were about to hit the fan and I needed help. This book is dealing with the very sensitive subject of human trafficking and the Titan Group’s methods of solving the immediate problem. Locke and Cassidy have to deal with their feelings and put them aside while trying to survive this mission and see where they end up.
If you have read any of Cristin Harber’s Titan books, you will appreciate Titan and Locke’s story. I, for one, can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
Cristin Harber – Lock And Key – (Titan Series – Book
Titan teams one and two were sent to rescue uber-wealthy DC-based school of which Alex Gaev was a teacher and had an elite exchange program and found himself the target of the Russian FSB. The request for extraction had come from St. Andrew’s High School that the FSB was hunting one of their own teachers. Titan had little information except for something about disrespecting the Mikhailov family. Since the Mikhailov’s rule the Russian government and ran organized crime, this didn’t bode well for the teacher, if he was still alive.
When Titan finally got to mountainous location in Russia, Alex Gaev, the teacher was there and an American female reporter. The reporter had fallen from grace a few years ago and she was trying to up her creditability by taking one of the teaching slots in this exchange program. But when Lock recognized her his anger turned to red-hot hatred because he blamed her for all the men in his troop’s death on her. Cassidy Noble had printed too much and the enemy ambushed them and 26 men lost their lives in Sadr City.
When the other guys started questioning Lock on Cassidy’s role in Sadr City, he didn’t want to hear it. But, when forced to read everything that Parker (Titan’s computer ‘god’) put together about the entire event, including the congressional hearings that Cassidy had to testify, Lock started questioning himself. Parker’s told him, Boss Man wants you to make peace with whatever’s throwing you off. So, Lock guessed he would have to go through the entire package. To prove to himself that either he was right about her or that maybe he had been wrong all these years, Lock decided to see what Cassidy was up to by following her.
Find out what Lock finds out about Cassidy and why he seems attracted to her even though he hasn’t fully decided if she was to blame. Follow the Titan’s back to Russia for a mission to save lives, including Cassidy’s.
Wow. I was a little surprised at the character combination, but Ms Harber makes it work. Pairing a reporter with a black ops warrior was a risk given the fact that Titan operates in such secrecy and well, you know, she's a reporter.
I loved the pairing of Locke with Cassidy (aka Flamethrower) personality wise. They are both strong and opinionated but the past still haunts both of them. My only grievance was I felt Locke let go of the past too fast once he was confronted with it. They never really talked about it like she wanted to; he just accepted it. I felt it was a little neat and tidy and could have provided more angst for the relationship.
The "adventure" in Russia was quite interesting. I loved that the daughter was trying to do right even though it was her father she was working against. It makes me wonder if the Russians are going to play a future role in other Titan/Delta books. Something to contemplate.
Now the question remains about will the hit on Cassidy remain in place in future editions? They didn't succeed in killing her so will they try again in retribution for her story? Or is it over and done with? Will Cass continue to report on Titan/Delta endeavors or will she fade into obscurity? Only time will tell.
Loved it! Yet again Cristin Harber doesn't disappoint. Locke is super sexy and a sweety. I love when a man comes up with cute nicknames and Locke threw out many! Cassidy is a tenacious reporter and a force to be reckoned with. My heart was constantly going crazy throughout the entire book. Between the chemistry between Locke and Cassidy, the steamy sex scenes, and the stomach clenching fear induced from interactions with Russian mobsters, you won't be able to get off the rollercoaster ride that is "Locke and Key." This series is an all time favorite of mine, and I am always looking forward to seeing what Cristin Harber comes up with next. No two stories are ever the same, and you just can't help falling in love with each and every one of the sexy and strong men that make up Titan.
From the first page to the last this book is a non stop action, danger, very tense situations that will keep reader reading every last work.
Locke and Key was a little hard to enjoy because readers will never get to stop and take a breath from the endless action and even when things start to slow down a little within a page or two the readers is thrown back into action. Locke and Key has enough sexual tension to kill the readers with anticipation. All in all it is a fast summer read that fits in the Titan world but can be read as a stand alone as well.
I have been a huge fan of the Titan series since it came out. This one took a bit for me to get in to, but once I did, I loved it. This wasn't my favorite of the series, but it was definitely worth the read. I feel some things were left hanging, what happened to Ivan? Who tried to kill her and what happened to them? It was mentioned early on that Ivan was trying to sell his own daughter and granddaughter, but that wasn't mentioned again, why? I am super curious about Victoria, so I can't wait for that release.
On a side note...there were quite a few editing errors that started getting on my nerves
I am a HUGE fan of Cristin's Titan series and I couldn't wait to read Locke's story. I loved that Cristin gave him such a strong match in Cassidy. She is smart and sassy and so perfect for him. You wouldn't think that there was a possibility of them with what they had gone through especially with Locke's first reaction to seeing her again. Their connection wasn't to be ignored though. When Cassidy becomes part of a mission, things definitely change between them. I so enjoyed their story.
One again Boss Lady has done it! Another 5+ star book! I loved Locke and claimed him before I ever knew his story. The man of few words just drew me! Now,after reading Locke and Key, he has drawn me in even more!! Thank you for being an awesome author, Boss Lady!!! I can't wait to get more!! #titansrong
I just can't get enough of Cristin Harber's books. I have been following the characters throughout her series and will continue to do so in the future.
