Though starting in straight erotic romance, Kris's total focus now is on gay romance. When asked why recently, his answer was "My muse finally came out of the closet. Isn't it about time? I've been out since I was twenty-five."
A voracious reader, Kris loves many genres of fiction, but this writer's favorite books are romances that are edgy, sexy, with rich characters and unique challenges. Kris' influences include Anne Rice, JR Ward, Lexi Blake and Shayla Black.
Last year, Kris married the love of his life Stephen.

To my ratings: A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
I enjoyed reading all the books in this bundle. Honestly, my only real complaint is that every couple uses "sweetheart" when there are so many other words to use. I liked the characters and how each story progressed. I did have a problem with Tony and Stephen's story since there needed to be a bit more to Tony's change of heart. It was way too abrupt.
What's great about getting the bundle is not just reading the books straight through but the e tea goodies at the end as well. I love the Mockingbird Place family so much and seeing them further along in their HEA journey is a special treat. Now I just have two more left.
Kris is a good writer. Good stories and worthy of 5-stars but there are many grammatical and punctuation errors which need to be addressed. He needs a better proofreader.

I have to say that this was a wonderful bundle of stories that the author put together for his readers. This was my first book by this author and I was very happy that I came across it. The "Mockingbird Place" is full of loving characters that is brought to life by the fingers of this author and I enjoyed everyone of the stories. There is so much love among the residents of the apartment complex and yet the author managed to introduce angst, anger, homophobia, homeless teenagers, gay physical abuse, hate crimes, imprisonment, sexual assault and rape, arson, PTSD, stalkers, grief and hopelessness. However, all of these negative things were offset by love, joy, babies being born, hot gay sex and marriages. Excellent bundle of books that I think anyone would enjoy reading. I highly recommend this book.
