An Italian American waitress living in New York catches the eye of an influential Mafia Don. Kept in a fashionable townhouse she wants for nothing but attention. Through boredom and sexual frustration she inadvertently finds herself involved in a Vice Squad bust of an adult movie house. Mistaken for a prostitute she is pressured by unscrupulous police officers into performing sex acts with them in exchange for her release. Mortified that her husband would find out, she agrees and the result unleashes emotions and sick sexual desires inside her that she cannot control. Seeking out more taboos to break to satisfy her ever growing desires, she goes into a dive bar on the Black side of town. The resulting encounter sends her sliding ever farther down the slippery slope of degradation. She understands what is happening to her, but cannot control the filthy urges inside her overripe body. Her husband is indicted and incarcerated, leaving her at the tender mercies of his attorney, and the policemen who continue to visit her for "favors". Visiting her husband in prison, she sees that he is no different than the others, as he trades her sexual favors with the guards in a quid pro quo arrangement. The husband's attorney makes devious plans to strip her of both her pride and wealth. Despondent, she feels she has no where to turn.
