Big Daddy #4

Small Town Daddy

Rate this book
I’m going to be bad for my Daddy.
I’m a nice girl, or at least that’s what everyone thinks.
But here’s something they don’t know: I want an older man to take care of me.
So when I meet a filthy ex-Navy SEAL, I don’t care if he’s bad news.
I’m going to let him do all the dirty things I’ve always dreamed about.

I shouldn’t want a man like Lucas. I stayed home from college so I could take care of my sick father, not so that I could get involved with an older, tattooed ex-Navy SEAL with a filthy mouth.

As soon as he walks into my life, I know I’m screwed. I can’t take my eyes off of his ripped muscles and cocky grin.

I keep undressing him with my eyes, but I’d rather he undressed me with those rough hands.

I want to get to know the real Lucas Baker. He’s more than just the bad boy he appears to be. He’s a single father and he works for a flower shop. There has to be something more beneath that hard exterior.

I need Lucas more than I want to admit. I feel a shiver run down my spine when he orders me to call him Daddy. I’ve never been with an older man before, but I feel so safe with him.

I’m going to let my Daddy make me very, very bad.

Small Town Daddy is a dark romance with steamy scenes and bad language. It’s only recommended for readers 18+.

Small Town Daddy is a STANDALONE, full-length novel. No cliffhanger. Guaranteed HEA. Includes bonus content!

Title: Small Town Daddy
Author: B.B. Hamel

B.B. Hamel never disappoints… Her books are always well written, I just don’t see that this book falls under “Dark Romance”

Small Town Daddy is a well written older man/younger woman romance story with a great story line and interesting characters.

There is some suspense in this book, and some sexy scenes, I really enjoyed it. I like how she called him Daddy, too. That's hot

As always in small town you’ll find your rich bullying, taking whatever they want …. Which are Caleb & Dylan, & we can’t forget that their father who support whatever his spoil son do..

Now meet Mia & Lucas who all they wanna do is live their life in peace

Mia is a young 20 year ago girl who stayed home from college to take care of her father. He has advanced Alzheimer’s.

Lucas an ex-Navy Seal retired to take care of his son…He got out of the military when his son Noah came into his life.

Lucas works for his stepmother at her flower shop, he meets Mia when he was sent to the nature preserve one afternoon to gather flowers for an upcoming wedding the florist is covering.

I love the chemistry these two shared

➦Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion

Just a few notes to my safety gang gals and to anyone considering reading this:

a) This is not what I would class as dark romance personally. The Hero is really decent and not at all dark, just a dirty talker! No kidnapping, no Stockholm syndrome, no rape, no BDSM, no "training", there is violence but from outside parties to the main characters.

b) To anyone hesitating over the "Daddy", this is NOT a Daddy/little girl book. He just likes being called Daddy while they do the dirty. Doesn't verge anywhere near a D/lg relationship. Just lots of filthy, dirty, kinky talk. Also sex outdoors in the woods! Very HOT!

B.B. Hamel delivers another dark daddy, older man falls for a younger woman romance. We have an ex-navy seal returning home to raise his infant son. And a young woman struggling to take care of her ailing father. While Lucas, the ex-seal, cannot stop himself from thinking about Mia the town bully bad boy, Caleb, has decided he wants her too. At the heart of the fight for Mia is her beloved nature preserve. Caleb uses his families money & influence to blackmail Mia into choosing him over Lucas. It gets ugly fast & Mia has to decide whether to follow her heart or allow herself to be controlled by money. As both men fight for Mia, she has to decide what is most important to her.

This book is meant for mature readers.

This book had a few too many TSTL moments for my taste. I think if some of them could have been eliminated, I might have given it three stars. For example

And even Lucas, our hero, had a couple TSTL moments. The one that sticks out the most is when

Perhaps I'm making a mountain out of a molehill but those two scenes had me shaking my head and saying "Really people? REALLY???". And I wish I could say that the hot sexy parts made up for the numerous TSTL moments but honestly, there just weren't enough of them to appease me--what can I say, I likes ma dirty! I didn't hate the author's writing completely though so while this was my first B.B. Hamel read, I'd probably try another before giving up on her entirely.

Lucas an ex Navy Seal retired to take care of his son. He never thought he would fall in love again after his ex shredded his heart but that all changed when he meet Mia. Drawn together but when you have the towns rich boys The Carters after you nothing goes right. Lucas will do anything to keep Mia. I really enjoyed reading this story, Lucas & Mia are perfect together and there time in the Nature Preserve is HOT. Another amazing read by BB

Small Town Daddy is Mia and Noah's love story. I just don't understand Mia at points in this book. I know she has a lot of responsibility on her young shoulders, and gets pressured into things, but some of the decisions she makes I just have a hard time agreeing with. And Noah has a lot goin on too, being a single dad and all, and he makes not always great decisions either. There is some suspense in this book, and some sexy scenes, I really enjoyed it. I like how she called him Daddy, too. That's hot. I received an arc of this.

This is the fifth such "daddy" book I've read by B.B. Hamel, and it is my favorite.

Lucas is quite possibly the most amazing man. He's a warrior (a f@#king SEAL), he's a single father, he is understanding, kind, gentle, protective, honorable, and worthy of any woman's affections. I LOVE how protective and possessive he becomes with Mia--and not just a gorilla pounding his chest in anger. He makes sure she's happy, he brings her lunch and dinner, spends time getting to know her, respects and honors her sick father, and is a wonderful father to a son whose mother abandoned him.

The sex was off-the-charts HAWT. Lucas is an attentive lover with a deliciously filthy mouth. The scene where he screws her against the tree....hmmm. There's just something about losing all control and dropping trou in the park and f*$king your lover against a birch. Lucas was just an all around wonderful character.

I actually enjoyed Mia's character--she had a lot of responsibility in taking care of her father, she felt responsible for the nature preserve where she worked, and she felt alone in a town full of people. She was put in an impossible position, but I think she made the wrong decision. No matter what the dude says, you cannot sell yourself to save a f*$king park! Nothing (save your children) is worth whoring yourself out to anyone.

Mia's motivations are somewhat understandable, and her reasons for not telling Lucas are also somewhat understandable, but there is a line at which point you just have to stop trying to be the savior and realize you need saving. Unfortunately, Mia realized this too late.

The Carter family are entitled, sociopathic assholes who deserved to have their faces pounded in and their cocks forcibly removed from their bodies. They were the perfect antagonists in this story.

All in all, this is the only book of B.B Hamel's that I would actually consider reading again.

"I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own."

B.B. Hamel never disappoints. Her books are always well written, nicely paced, and entertaining. Her characters are always beautiful and sexy. The books are always steamy hot. And they always provide a little something extra, something unexpected. Small Town Daddy is no exception. I believe it's my favorite yet.

Lucas is a retired Navy Seal, single dad. He's living with his step-mother, working at her florist trying to be the best dad possible to his baby Noah. Mia is a young girl who stayed home from college to take care of her father. He has advanced Alzheimer’s.

Lucas is sent to the local nature preserve one afternoon to gather flowers for an upcoming wedding the florist is covering. Mia works at the preserve and is told to assist him. Turns out that Lucas went to school with Mia's older sister and knew Mia when she was a young girl. The two strike up an easy conversation, have a lovely first meeting, and stay on one another's mind after they part. Later that evening Mia is at a local bar with her best friend and the Carter brothers, Caleb and Dylan. The wealthy Carter family runs the town. The brothers are spoiled, demanding, and dangerous. Unfortunately, Mia has caught Caleb's attention. Lucas and Mia have several more encounters and as their attraction grows, he lets her know his intentions. This puts him in opposition to the Carter's. There are several altercations, each time escalating. Plus, Caleb has put Mia on notice that he will have her through threats and bribes.

Lucas is pure perfection. He's hot, protective, a loving dad, beyond sexy. Mia is sweet and a wonderful daughter, but she's a little weak for me. I like her with Lucas, but the decisions she makes throughout the book upset me. The Carter brothers are horrible.

This is a well told story from beginning to end. There's danger and suspense. Mia makes a couple bad decisions and puts her chances with Lucas at risk, not to mention also risking their lives. If they can survive, these two are great together. The sex scenes are super hot, but there's also a lot of simple sweetness between the two. Will they get their HEA or will the Carter's win the girl? It's a fun read to find out.

This is a story of a young girl working in a forest reserve and taking care of her sick father, who casually meets the man in her life, an Ex-SEAL ten years older than her and the father of a 10-month-old son, whose mother wanted give him up for adoption. Mia desires a normal life, but could not have it due to the advanced state of her's father illness, and her interest to take care of him is greater than to go out and to socialize like the other girls of her age.

On the other hand, Lucas, accustomed to a solitary life, without attachments, because to having dedicated his life to the SEAL, also has very little faith in the female gender, due to his ex, who abandoned him and did not think twice before leaving his own son.

But as you imagine, not everything is rosy, although their 'relationship' that could be considered taboo due to the age difference (although not so many years), their real problem is another one: Caleb Carter.

This is a rich and spoiled young man, son of the mayor of the small town and accustomed to do and have everything he wants, and decided that what he wants at that moment is Mia and will do anything to get her.

Is a well-written story, enjoyable to read and with a guaranteed HEA.

This is another sizzling book by B.B. Hamel.

Lucas is an ex-SEAL, who quit his service to take care for his little son.
He always thought he'd be cured of love for all times when his ex-girlfriend abandoned him for another man and wanted to release their new born baby for adoption behind his back.
Now he lives with his stepmother in her house together with his adorable son and also works in the flower shop of his stepmother. One day, she sends him out to the local nature preserve for choosing some wildflowers for a wedding and on this occasion he meets Mia, who works there.

Mia takes care for her sick father and did not go to college. She is harassed by the Carter brothers, who are notorious in their home town to get through with everything, since their father “owns” this city.

Lucas and Mia fall in love at first sight and it's just wonderful to watch how this love evolves ...
And Lucas, of course, has some important objections to the Carter brothers ....

The two main protagonists are very lovingly sketched. The story is rich in tension, emotional and hot scenes and some surprises.

I received an ARC and I am leaving a voluntary review.

This book is totally worth the read. Everything about the story works, the characters, the conflicts and the consequences. Mia and Lucas are so good together. Their chemistry sizzles, the sex is hot and what is even sexier is that they find a ease and comfortability with each other.

Alice, Lucas's stepmother and Laura, Mia's boss are fun characters that are supportive of Mia and Lucas getting together even as forces try to keep them apart. Those forces are in the form of brothers, Caleb and Dylan Carter. The are the rich, bullying, take whatever they want men with the support of their father. Caleb wants Mia for himself and Dylan hates Lucas so, there is a lot of cause for tension and suspense.

My only issue - at the end you don't find out what happens to Jordan, Mia's best friend. Does she find out what happens between Mia and Dylan? Do Jordan and Mia rekindle their friendship? Other than that, I recommend this book and a must read.

I love B.B. Hamel books. They always have such good story lines and characters. I was thinking this one would be hard to because the daddy references but I loved it. Lucas is such a sweet genuine guy but is also dominant and protective. He happens to be a single father trying to take care of his son. He heads over to the preserve to get flowers for his stepmother when he meets Mia. She is a sweet yet insecure young woman with a lot on her plate. Between taking care of her sick father and working she has little time to go out and be free. I love that Lucas is older but too old. 10 years isn't bad. When Mia catches the eye of the Carter brothers, trouble starts brewing. Caleb and Dylan are spoiled rich boys that always get what they want and will crush anyone in their way. I can't believe how far they are willing to go. I don't want to give away too much so you need to read Small Town Daddy. You won't be disappointed I voluntarily read an advanced copy.

Another great read from B.B. Hamel! Mia Hayes loves her job working at a nature preserve, but feels her life is missing something. Lucas Baker retired from his SEAL career when he found out he was a father and he needed to take care of him. Now he finds himself working with his stepmom and taking care of his son. When tasked with finding some wildflowers at a preserve he meets Mia and knows he will do whatever it takes to make her his. Their relationship doesn't come easy, isn't without some major roadblocks in the form of two brothers who think they are untouchable. But when Lucas hears Mia call her "Daddy" he knows he can't walk away from what they have. A hot daddy romance from a great author! I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

As most of the other reviews talk about, Lucas is a retired Navy Seal. Lucas came home to take care of his son that he just found out about. He is living for his child and trying to get used to civilian life.
Mia is a simple girl taking care of her father that has Alzheimer. She loves where she works and would do anything to keep her life simple.
When these two meet it is instant heat. But there is a new force in this little town that is trying to take over and they do not like Lucas and Mia being together.
This is a wonderful love story with some great sex and love in it. I loved this story and it really is a must read!

The is a very quick read. Lucas is a ex navy seal who has returned home to raise his infant son. Mia is a young lady who taking care of her sick father. The story is not really dark other than the town bullies. It kind of reminded me of the movie Walking Tall. the story was ok. I liked Lucas. He was a good guy. Mia was a little confusing. they lived in a small town but she acted like she didn't know the Carters were dangerous. she kept wobbling back and forth. The short story did have action and moved pretty fast. The author did give us a nice epilogue.

I have read several books by this author and always enjoy them, this one was certainly no different. It was a lovely storey of two people with difficult life's and lots of responsibilities coming together. But along side this is drama and conflict within the town, which threatens there connection.
I love the baby, and love reading books that have children involved. Lucas being a single father made him more appealing in my view.
The book was well written, with a great storyline and interesting character's.

Lucas is a retired ex Navy Seal taking care of his son. After his EX had torn his heart into pieces, he never thought he’d fall in love again. That all changed when Mia walked into his life. They are drawn together, but when you have the town's rich boys after you nothing goes right. Lucas will do anything to keep Mia. The story was erotic and hot as hell. You will be hooked by the fabulous characters that have wonderful personalities. This is a definite must-read that you won't want to miss out on.

Lucas is an ex-SEAL, single dad just trying to acclimate to civilian life. Mia is a 20 year old taking care of an ailing father. Living in a small town you would think that they would have run into each other but it takes a little matchmaking for their introduction. This is inst attraction from both of them but there are other players to this story who are used to getting what they want and they have set their sights on Mia. Mia feels backed into a corner and makes some decisions that affect both of them. Can they come out of a tragedy , stronger together than apart?

This was a fast easy read that will captivate you.

I wouldn't call this a dark romance but everyone might have a different definition of dark. There are some violent actions in the book but not between our hero, Lucas, and heroine, Mia. Lucas wants to be her protector and not demean her into submission.

I really enjoyed this book and the interesting storyline. Mia and Lucas are a sweet couple and have outside forces to deal with that mean to do them harm. I received an advance review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a very touching story, not at all what I thought it was going to be. The characters have a genuine conflict and concern for the lives they want to live. But all in all it was a great story with great characters like I've come to love in all of B. B. Hamel's books.

Lucas is an ex-Navy SEAL, working in a flower shop. He meets Mia when he's sent to a natural preserve one day, where Mia works. He was such a sweet, but sexy hot dad. I loved how protective he was of Mia as the story developed. There is danger, suspense, and steaming hot love in this story, and Lucas is more than ready to give some daddy lovin' to his girl Mia. Loved the small town feel, complete with bad guys. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I would give this book 3.5 stars...while the characters, romance, intrigue and plot were great, the over use of Mia calling Lucas "Daddy" really threw off the book and I felt was completely unnecessary to the story. The chemistry was fantastic and the hatred between Lucas and the Carter brothers was so true to form. Overall I enjoyed the book very much.

Lucas, a former Navy SEAL, has left the military to raise his baby son Noah. They both live with his stepmother Alice. Alice's friend Laura is Mia's boss (Mia is the h). They meet when Lucas, who now works in Alice's flower shop, is sent to get some wild flowers from the nature reserve where Mia works. There is also Mia's father, who has Alzheimer's disease, and the Carter brothers. This is a lot of storyline to remember, and B.B. does a really good job of laying this foundation. The relationship moves slowly but the H & h both have responsibilities to people on either end of the life cycle. Mia is a strong, independent woman who, due to her love for her father, is forced to make a choice which causes her great angst. The story really picks up at this point, with some action, and sex with a man with a filthy mouth (the best kind!). I was a bit slow to warm up to Lucas but he grew on me as the story progressed. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.
