Beth longs for a family and a loving Amish man to call her own. But can real romance even be in her future? Her fears about what will happen to the brother she cares for since their parents died holds her back from even searching. But deep inside, she knows it’s just an excuse as she only feels in control playing the role of mother and caretaker, as anything else feels foreign and too frightening to even consider.

Beth’s just not ready for a broken heart and doesn’t believe she deserves to be happy on her own. So it’s on with life as normal… That is, until things change and she meets a newcomer to Stoney River under embarrassing and less-than-perfect circumstances. But will any of that matter anyway? For now she finds out the mysterious stranger isn’t the only one with secrets, for true or not, someone is spreading vicious lies about her and things take a turn for the worse.

But not all hope is lost as the stranger takes a chance based solely on feeling, and sometimes that’s all that is needed for true love to flourish. Only a risk and time will tell, but dare Beth hope for the best? Do they risk choosing each other?

This is a sweet, clean and wholesome Amish romance. Lots more Amish romance books from Emma are coming in 2017!

An Amish romance.

This book was very well written with a little suspense. Beth would not become attach to a boy because she wanted to raise her brother.
