A very good short thriller. Mainly it has the issue of instalove, but it’s well written and the mystery moves quickly. I wondered about someone who was involved in the crime, but I was shocked with how that part played out in the end. Well done!

Suspense pulls at you as Jason and Lilly race to get her friend's murders brought to justice .
I loved the suspense,twists and turns ,the engaging characters against backdrop of Tanner Hollow and D.C.
This book is a must read for romantic suspense fans.

Feuerwehrmann Jason Tanner entdeckt beim Löschen eines Brands, im Auto eine bewusstlose Frau. Lilly kann gerade noch rechtzeitig gerettet werden. Was erst als Selbstmord aussieht, entwickelt sich schließlich zu einem Mordversuch. Jason, der sich sofort zu Lilly hingezogen fühlt, ist sicher, dass sie sich nicht das Leben nehmen wollte. Als sie nur knapp einem weiteren Anschlag entkommt, flieht er mit ihr. Mit Hilfe von Nolan versuchen sie herauszufinden, wer und warum man es auf Lillys Leben abgesehen hat. Dabei müssen sie immer wieder ihre Verfolger abschütteln, um nicht selbst in Gefahr zu geraten.

Meine Meinung:
In Band zwei der Tanner-Hollow-Reihe geht es dieses Mal um Lilly Andersen und Feuerwehrmann Jason Tanner, dem Bruder von Nolan, den wir schon aus dem letzten Buch kennen. Wobei man diesem Band recht wenig von der Kleinstadt Tanner Hollow spürt. Lilly sieht, wie man im Parkhaus auf dem Weg zu ihrer Freundin eine Frau ermordet. Doch als sie die Tat bei der Polizei melden und den Tatort aufsuchen, ist von der Toten nichts mehr zu sehen. Es ist, als ob die Tat niemals geschehen wäre. Dass der Täter ausgerechnet jemand ist, den sie gut kennt, macht das Ganze fragwürdiger und vor allem gefährlicher. Natürlich versucht man nun Lilly aus dem Weg zu räumen, in dem man einen Selbstmord vortäuscht. Nur Jasons schneller Reaktion hat sie es zu verdanken, dass man sie rechtzeitig herausholt. Er scheint außerdem der Einzige zu sein, der Lilly glaubt und rettet sie davor, in die Psychiatrie zu kommen. Ein regelrechtes Katz und Maus Spiel zwischen ihnen und dem Täter beginnt. Dabei haben sie wenige, die sie in ihre Pläne einweihen können. Das Ganze ist zwar leichter, weil sie den Täter kennen, doch wie soll man ihm die Tat beweisen, wenn die Tote und alle Indizien fehlen? Der wieder von Beginn an spannende Kurzkrimi überzeugt vor allem durch seine Verbrecherjagd, die sympathischen Charaktere und die fesselnde Story. Obendrein spielt auch hier der dezent gehaltene gemeinsame Glaube der beiden eine Rolle. Die motivierte Lilly wirkt auf mich mutig und ehrlich. Jason ist Nolan recht ähnlich, sie sind beide überaus hilfsbereit und selbstlos. Besonders sein dynamisches Erscheinungsbild, die Zuverlässigkeit und Weitsicht sind es, die ihn mir auffallen. Natürlich würde ich so jemandem ebenfalls mein Leben anvertrauen. Dass er sich unsterblich in Lilly verliebt, erhöht seine Motivation zusätzlich, um sie zu retten. Am Ende wartet mal wieder eine überraschende Wende des Falls auf uns. Langsam gewöhne ich mich an die Kürze dieser Krimis, weshalb ich 5 von 5 Sterne gebe.

Inside Lethal Conspiracy by Lynette Eason, I was trailing a young woman on the run from not one but more than one killer. The only thing she doesn't know is that one of the killers is someone she cares about. After witnessing a murder happen, then finding out that her friend was also killed because of what she witnessed, Lilly has too much on her shoulders. She has to survive. It was her lucky day when a handsome firefighter came to her rescue, From there, the action, suspense, and romance only got better.

Lilly is an innocent woman desperate to make her dad love her. Or at least, want to see her as hid child. Only none of that happens. It turns out fate has other ideas. Especially, the quest of letting the lies and betrayals come out to light. Lilly's family will be on one rollercoaster to another.
Family means the world to Lilly and the firefighter, Jason. Together, they chase this danger and call it on its ugly head. Both have a lot to risk. Their lives and hearts are on the line.

Lynette Eason had me so captivated by this beautifully told story. I was engulfed in the emotional toll and in the romantic scenes. This is one romantic suspense writer who can hook any reader with her characters alone. I loved reading this novella.

Lillie will learn some disturbing truths along the way. She and Jason will develop feelings for each other that leads to a lasting relationship.

This is the second book in the Tanner Hollow series but it can be read as a stand-alone (the hero is the brother of the hero in book 1). Since this is a novella, the action is fast-paced but so is the romance. It really was a case of instant attraction and Jason goes through a lot to help someone he doesn't really know at first. If you like a quick mystery read with romance and danger, this is for you.

Lethal Conspiracy by Lynette Eason is book 2 in the Tanner Hollow series. I really enjoyed the fast paced action and suspense. I know it's a novella and things develop quickly but the romance was really fast in this book. I guess 'love at first sight' is true in some cases. I recommend this book and Lethal Homecoming. I can't wait to read Lethal Secrets.

I really enjoyed this one. The mystery kept me wanting to find out who the main antagonist was (although I had my suspicions towards the end), the action and suspense was great, the characters were interesting and I liked their development. It was nice to have the characters from the previous book in this too. I'm looking forward to read the next one.

I love how it ties in with the first one in the series. I thought they were 4 separate stories, but I love that they aren't.

And I love the little updates you get about the people in the first novel in the series. So many unique little touches that make this book- and all of Lynette Eason's books worth reading.
