Trade paperback. 344 pages. A collection of diary and journal entries, letters, and autobiographical pieces, intended for the beginning college writer.
I ordered this today after being reminded in UC Berkeley's obituary on our beloved Charles Muscatine that this is one book he authored that I missed. A champion of freedom speech and quality education, Charles died last week at 89 which, in his case, was way too young.
A good mix of different writers and styles. For first person narratives, they are very diverse types of them. There were ones I liked more than others. But a good overview of different types of writers, some I had never heard of. It's a bit dated and it is a textbook, technically. But, good.
