In the 50s, Ekaterina Vasilievna attended a circle for beginning writers at the children's publishing house Detgiz. As she recalled: "This circle gave me more than any literary university. Talented children's writers gathered there, who later became widely known - Radiy Pogodin, Svyatoslav Sakharnov, Viktor Kurochkin."
Then her first poetry books for children began to appear. Kind, funny poems by Ekaterina Serova teach kids to love nature, to be hardworking and honest, courageous and responsible for each of their actions.
Ekaterina Vasilievna also has poems for adult readers. They are just as kind and light - they will support, prompt, console ... She was such a person: she always tried to help and warm ... she has such poems.
