Oh the Winnipeg Sixties Rock Scene! Reading this amazing book was like reliving those years. I was flooded with memories of going to Community Clubs and listening to these bands. I remember seeing Burton Cummings with his first band, The Deverons in a church hall. The Fifth and the Mongrels played my high school and I have the posters to prove it! It was a total nostalgia trip through the past, so many of these bands I had completely forgotten yet the memory of seeing them and what I was doing that night came right back to me.

This book is so well organized and the era so well documented. Congratulations John Einerson! Those photos facing every page of text are incredible! How you found them, who knows? The discography - Wow! The research is painstaking and must have taken a long time.

What an awesome book! I wish I had it in my personal library but I can't seem to find it anywhere. John? A reprint?
