Piper and Michael Collins have it all. They’re in love, both have successful jobs, live in a nice neighborhood, and have a great sex life—that is, up until recently. Over the past six months everything has started to drag. Even though they’ve led an “extracurricular” lifestyle for a long time, things have gotten boring.

It’s up to Piper to liven her marriage up, which she does with a little encouragement from her pal Caroline at their weekly STD happy hours. She jumps in without pause and sparks between she and Michael fly. First with hot selfies, office sex, and later with some much needed risk-taking.

From there, Piper and Michael make a Top Ten Sex List and start ticking off their wildest fantasies. Piper is fearless, but when they both arrive at Michael's number ten, is Piper really ready?

*This book is super steamy hot, filled with out-of-the-box moments. The book contains: explicit sex, hardcore toys, and group sex.

10 Ebooks copies to WIN on my Facebook Page now

After reading What Caroline Wants, it was a sure thing I would read about Piper and Michael.
They are married for nearly 10 years and are very happy. They are in love, and the sex is awesome. They seem to have found some balance with their extra-curriculum activities... seems being the key word.

Piper is struggling for about 6 months to have an orgasm. What bothers her most is, she doesn't really know why. Michael and her are getting along just fine but something is off.

Weekly, she meets with her neighboor and friend, Caroline to talk about sex.
She could never have imagined receiving advice from her friend but the experiment she had in the past gave Caroline some confidence and she is not the girl she used to be.

What they found out is, Piper needs more adrenaline in her sex life.
From there, it will be a re-discovery of pleasure and adrenaline she will have!

This book can be read as a stand-alone but I strongly recommend reading What Caroline Wants first to be fully immersed in the story and to know the different persons involved better.

Once again, as in the previous book, the main focus and the main subject is sex
Piper and Michael will try to find their way back to each other - sexually speaking - and there are a lot of sex scenes.

It would give you quite a few ideas to spice your life up a bit ;p

description

It's becoming clear throughout the book that both of them are a little tired with sharing. Piper is not a jealous girl but maybe she only wanted to please her husband with all the attention he usually receives.

" What Piper needs to do now is figure out what she wants independently of what she thinks Michael wants."

Amanda Abbott is an unknown author to me and it's a pen name, but I'm in search to know what other books she has written. Her writing is delicious, easy, respectful of her reader's feeling. Like I said in my previous review, it's like she knows what us reader will feel with this kind of subjects.

description

What I also liked was how the other characters surrounding Piper and Caroline are introduced.
Sometimes I pictured the girls from Sex in the City

description

Piper, Caroline and then Emma and Gina are all liberate about who they are and what they want. They have some issues but they know they can't speak about it with someone without being judge.
I gave it 4 stars because the ending was a huge disappointment.

For me, the last chapter was an introduction for book 3 and I felt a little cheated

After loving the first book in Amanda Abbott's Pushing the Boundaries series I couldn't wait to get hold of What Piper Needs. This series is hot as hell and considering Piper is much more aware of her own sexuality than Caroline was I just knew this book was going to raise the heat levels and I definitely wasn't disappointed.

I loved the friendship between Piper and Caroline in the first book and it was great to see that they are continuing to support each other in this one. The pair meet up every week to chat about life, love and of course sex and I can't tell you how much I enjoy this side to the story, especially now they've started adding some other faces to the mix including the heroine of the next book Emma. I'm all for stories that show positive female relationships, there is no competition between these women and no petty jealousy just genuine friendship and welcome support. These girls can talk to each other about anything and reading about them is like sitting down with your own girlfriends for an evening of wine, gossip and giggling.

Of course the most important relationship in the story is between Piper and her husband Michael and I thought they were a fantastic couple. They have been together for ten years and are obviously still head over heels in love. After such a long time together they have noticed that even with their extracurricular lifestyle things have started to get a little stale in the bedroom, they enjoy being with each other but they've lost that magical spark from the early days of their relationship. I loved that they are both willing to talk about their needs and desires, there are no secrets between them and they are very open about what is and isn't working for them. To spice things up they decide to write a list of their top ten fantasies and we get to share the fun as they work their way through them!

If you thought What Caroline Wants was hot you've not seen anything yet and What Piper Needs is absolutely off the charts! This series is going from strength to strength and I absolutely can't wait to get my hands on a copy of What Emma Craves. One last thing, if you're enjoying this series make sure you check out Amanda Abbott's website where she has posted a couple of free bonus scenes for your enjoyment!

Piper and Michael have always had an adventurous sex life and even got their best friends interested in their slightly kinkier side of involving other couples. However Piper’s not sure if it is working for her anymore or if it ever really did. And is Michael feeling the exact same thing? It’s time to find out what Piper truly needs and if her and Michael can rekindle their passion for each other and sex again.

Piper”—she leaned forward in her straight-backed chair—“there is sexual fulfillment in your future if you allow it to happen. Lots of it. All you need to do is make up your mind to live again, and it will happen for you.”

So this is the second in a series but can be read as a stand alone and this time it’s Piper who needs to understand what she truly wants. This is another short but hot read that also gives you the feels; you feel connected with Piper and Michael, especially since we met them in the first book, and you want to follow their story to see where they end up.

“A keen anticipation of what tonight would bring burned through him. He’d sensed something different in Piper’s texts. She was having fun and that excited him. He couldn’t wait to see her, and her beautiful, rockin’ body, in person.”

I loved Piper and Michael in the first book and I just loved them even more in this one. I think they are the most perfect couple; they’ve been together for so long and are still so cute to each other. They both just want to make the other happy and are willing to do anything and everything for each other. Piper is fiery, strong and not afraid to let everyone know what she wants and Michael is kind, sexy, caring and wants more than anything in the world for Piper to be happy.

“Her head bowed back as her sheath spasmed around his cock, taking everything she could, her hips rocking slowly. His low whisper hit her ear a second later. “You are so beautiful,” he told her as he came, gripping her hips and grinding himself into her.”

The sex is hot hot hot! The passion between them is so hot that I felt it between them while I was reading. It was also an interesting story line as I had to admit that after reading the first book I wasn’t expecting this; I didn’t see Piper and Michael struggling at all so it definitely kept me interested.

“Piper was lost to the sensations. All she felt was free. She rocked on Michael’s hard cock, and goddamn, it felt good. She was done being the wallflower, worried about losing the man she loved because she felt like she wouldn’t be enough.”

My only slight issue is that once the shock wore off, it did kind of feel like the same formula as with the first with only slight differences. But because I loved Piper and Michael this didn’t bother me too much and it certainly didn’t bother me enough to not enjoy the story.

So the first book was first class and this was always going to have a lot to live up to, but OMG it gave it a damn good go and I have to say I actually think it may have come out on top – Piper is a woman on a mission!!
A decade of marriage has Piper heading for Caroline’s door and looking for her help on how to put the vavavoom back into their sex life.
She loves her husband with everything she has but she is far from happy with the banality that has taken over their intimacy.
And when she gets the bit between her teeth so to say, the results are scorching- honestly they will leave you nursing blisters on your fingertips as they streak their way across each and every page.
Their honesty and willingness to go through with the plan is fab, the rules leave them chomping at the bit and this pair are scorching, they are absorbing and their determination to evolve and embrace their new found freedom between the sheets and anywhere else they damn well please is just completely fabulous.
But having a stellar sex life isn’t the only ingredient in a happy relationship and they have to learn what they need to do to insure that they last the pace… I wanted to shake them at one point and just bang their heads together and tell them to do what they do every day to everyone else about all the unimportant things in life… they need to talk to each other and not just lip service or whispering sweet nothing during the throws of passion, a real sit down and lay it all out talk about what they are feeling and how to make what they have work in and out of bed – hell, they have the physical aspect smoking on all cylinders, so surely the rest is a piece of cake.
A huge step up from the first book and completely fantastic!!!

I'm loving the Pushing the Boundaries series by Amanda Abbott so much! Why? Because it focuses on married couples that are trying to reconnect in their sexual needs and wants after being together for a few years. And each couple is at a different point in their relationship and it's gratifying to see what happens with a couple after they've had their HEA. Marriage is all about work to keep things interesting. And boy are these marriages interesting!

What Piper Needs follows Caroline and Jace from book 1, What Caroline Wants, neighbors, Piper and Michael. Through Caroline and Jace's eyes, Piper and Michael seemed to have the sex part of their marriage figured out and where old pros at the lifestyle. Piper was freely giving out advice to Caroline but as Piper's story unfolds we find out that she and Michael's marriage like everyone else's is not perfect.

In fact Piper hasn't had an orgasm in a long time and even though she is very out spoken about sex she has closed herself off to it in many ways after a bad experience a few years ago when she and Michael had a night with another couple.

Michael and Piper are both worried about the slump they've been in but neither really knows how to fix it. Their biggest issue is not communicating with each other. Piper is afraid to talk about their issues for fear of making Michael unhappy and Michael only wants to make Piper happy but he's not sure that is anymore.

Even though some of the sex is over the top (but really, really hot) I connected with Piper and Michael like they were real people. The issues they have are real issues that you would find in any marriage and it was great to see them work through their issues to be a better couple by the end of the book. I felt all the emotions that they were feeling from loneliness, lust and finally enjoy. Amanda Abbott does a remarkable job bring these couples to life and making me care about their happiness. I can't wait to read more on the other couples that are introduced in pieces in series so far.

I highly recommend What Piper Needs to all those married romance readers out there. I think you will really connect with these characters and their problems. You don't have to be in the lifestyle of group sex, sex clubs or the like to get what Piper and Michael are going through. Sure the series has tons of sex involved but at the heart of it, it about working on ones marriage and getting to that place where you are open and honest with your partner.

I read the first book in the Pushing The Boundaries series, What Caroline Wants and thought it was unique and hot. You meet Piper and Michael as Caroline and Jason's neighbors and best friends and the ones that piqued their interest in a different sexual lifestyle. I thought Piper was very open and a big help to Caroline and was happy to know she was getting her own book.

Michael and Piper have been together for fourteen years and have been married for close to ten years. When they first met there was a connection that was undeniable and the sex was spontaneous, fun and freeing. A year into their marriage it was dimming and they came across away to pick it back up with finding what makes them tick. And everything was going great even after a breakdown in the beginning but in the last six months their sex life has been off track. And Piper was ready to get it back on track and better than ever.

Piper and her friends have discovered that what she needed was to start dating Michael again. She also figured out that she loves the high sex give her, the adrenaline rush so after talking to Michael they decide to make a top 10 lists of sexual acts they have wanted to try and no complaints. They each get to pick 5 and no sex in the house, only foreplay. And the things they come up with are hot but is it enough?

Michael and Piper are an amazing couple and their sex is crazy good but they need to learn to communicate more about their wants and needs and not just in the bedroom. There is a reason for having the spark dimming and they needed to figure out the root of the problem. What is the issue that they need to conquer?

I love Piper. And I also love Michael. They are so in love and would do anything for one another but need to talk through it. Now, to say there is hot sex scenes is an understatement....there are a ton! The other characters are great and supportive with their sex talk sessions. It's nice to have a group of friends that don't judge your lifestyle and add things to the mix.

I am excited to read Emma's story and to see more of the Pleasure Paradise.

Quotes:

“So, this is your sage advice? Date my husband?”
“Damn straight. But don’t date him like a virgin—date him like a hooker.”

“One more thing. If you do that again with your wife, feel free to invite me in. I’d be happy to watch.”

“You think you love being in charge, but here’s a newsflash, you like it when I’m dominant. You always have.” Michael’s tone was hot and sexy.

What Piper Needs is another red hot read from Amanda Abbott's Pushing The Boundaries series. I really enjoyed the first book (What Caroline Wants) but I think this one is even better. It features Piper and her husband Michael, who both appeared in the first book. This book can be read as a standalone, but I'd recommend reading What Caroline Wants first as it gives a lot of background to this story - and it's a great book anyway, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Piper and Michael have always had an adventurous sex life, but things have been getting a bit dull and predictable which has led to Piper being unable to orgasm. They decide to try new things in order to spice things up - and boy do they get spicy! From office sex, toys and sexts right the way through to risky sex in public, this adventurous couple try it all. This book is so steamy with many hot scenes - there is quite a variety, the author has a great imagination!

I loved both of the main characters, they are a normal couple with a raunchy, kinky side to them which makes them great fun to read about. There is a great supporting cast too - I can't wait to read Emma's story as she is so much fun. I really liked Beth too so I'm hoping that she might have her own story in the future.

This series is unique, it's so refreshing to read such sexy stories about couples who've been married for several years and are doing all they can to liven up their sex lives. It makes a nice change to read about established couples, rather than young twenty somethings who are meeting for the first time. Amanda Abbott is a great author, with an easy to read style of writing and interesting stories. What Piper Needs is a fun, sexy book that gets five fabulous stars.

Piper and Michael have always reached for the next level when it came to sex, but one wrong turn put their sexual adventures and marriage into a slump. After years of what seemed like floating along in the bedroom, Piper realizes that enough is enough. She pulls on her big girl panties and starts a journey to save her marriage and with a little help from her friends, finally find What Piper Needs.

If you thought Caroline and Jason from the first book were hot, take a look at these two sizzling pieces of meat! I mean, they’re not meat but I would love to see how juicy they get. Everything they do is electric, just having dinner with them makes you want to take your clothes off! Michael and Piper are most definitely in my top five sexiest couples list hands down!

Ms. Abbott’s books should come with a warning label, like Do NOT read this book in front of others. Keep asthma pump close by.  Side effects include, panting, eyebrow raising, extreme lip biting, sever nail biting, extreme urge to go to a movie theatre, and a sudden craving for honey, strawberries and champagne.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you! Enjoy!

What Piper Needs is the second installment in author Amanda Abbott’s Pushing The Boundaries Series and follows married couple Piper and Michael Collins, whom we met in the first book, What Caroline Wants. While this book can absolutely be read as a stand alone, I do recommend reading the first book just so you can get a bit of background on this couple.
What I liked about What Piper Needs is similar to what I appreciated in What Caroline Wants, in the sense that this follows a happily married couple who are able to grow together and explore what makes them sexually fulfilled and satisfied. In this book, Piper has come to a bit of a crossroads and needs to figure some things out…primarily why her previously satisfying sex life with her husband of fourteen years has become, for lack of a better word, unsatisfying. Lucky for her, her husband is willing to explore and give her what she needs. They almost have to start over, in a way, and learn new ways to get Piper to where she needs to be. I enjoyed the mutual respect and love Piper and Michel have for one another and think their marriage is a wonderful example of two partners willing to grow and change.
Of course, the sex is off the freaking charts hot and there is plenty of it!What Piper Needs is well written and smoking hot. I will certainly be looking forward to more of this series.
Thank you, Ms. Abbott, for another scorchingly hot read!
