Fandom: Harry Potter Relationship: Hermione Granger/Harry Potter -------------------------------------------------- Harry Potter is not standing up in his crib when the Killing Curse strikes him, and the cursed scar has far more terrible consequences. But some souls will not be broken by horrible circumstance. Some people won't let the world drag them down. Strong men rise from such beginnings, and powerful gifts can be gained in terrible curses.
One of the best God-Mod HP fanfictions I've ever read. This is a fanfiction that the main character is stronger than anyone, and while in other fics this setup is not very attractive and can even be off-putting, it was very well done here. The difference is in other fics, the main reason to write such a story is to show how awesome the protagonist is, in other words, a wish fulfillment and a power fantasy. Not here, in this fanfiction, the journey and experiences of Harry are the most important parts, not the fact that no opponent can beat him. This is a story about discovery, death, the nature of magic and souls. If you enjoy pondering about these things, this fanfiction is recommended.
On FF.net. Interesting fanfiction in which Harry is blind but develops mage sight and eventually becomes OP. It's Harmony (Harry/Hermione), but not sickly sweet like most H/Hr. (Can you tell I am bored with that pairing even if it makes more sense than Ron/Hermione?)
MoD!Harry in a way that I haven't seen before. Epic plot with werewolves, vampires, hit wizards, and a surprisingly sensible British Minister of Magic. Best of all, this is a completed story.
Loved it, though it definitely leans pretty heavily into God!Harry. Basically no slash, which I always appreciate. Less about conflict, more about relationships and how you deal with death. Very well written, though understand that it may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

I liked the setup and the premise, but after the rapid death of Sirius and Remus and then the Tournament, I was kind of over it? Like it was not holding my attention at all. Probably would hit this spot for some people, but not for me.
I really liked the premise for this fic, really quite original, but I started finding it hard to continue reading once I'd gotten about half way through. Enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't read it again.
