First I want to state I enjoyed this book and look forward to the rest in the series and the other two Reacher Series Jude has penned. Second a few years ago I read my first Reacher novel. I had picked up one for my dad, and after giving the back a read, I grabbed the eBook for myself. In under a year I had read all the Reacher Novels in print and all the books in the Hunt for Jack Reacher by Diane Capri. Since then I have read 58 books in the Reacher universe and am expanding out to the three series by Jude Hardin now.

Based on the page count this volume is more of a novella, the book in this series are available as 9 stand-alone stories or in 3 omnibus editions. I will continue to read and review the stand-alone editions because that is how I started the series. But; back to the story at hand. I read this volume in a single sitting on a cold Sunday in February, over a few mugs of tea.
As I have said before; even death can’t keep Reacher down, in a manner of speaking. Rock Wahlman is a clone of Reacher, but he was not the only one. In the first volume, on the night his life goes sideways, he tries to save a man after his rig goes off the road and into water. The man he pulls from the water looks just like him. Having been raised in an orphanage this raises some questions. After an attempt on his life, he starts putting together the pieces. His life may have been different than Reacher’s but his determination when he is threatened is the same.
This story continues a short while after the last volume. Wahlman now using aliases has become a drifter, moving from town to town; never staying anywhere too long. He is still trying to piece together the information about who in the military is trying to cover their tracks. He needs enough proof to be able to expose it, and get some sort of life back. He has begun reading up on Jack Reacher’s exploits because the files are declassified now. He is not quite living the Reacher lifestyle, he has a backpack, fake ID, but in this installment begins he is working doing manual labour building fences. But when he recognizes a man in a dinner he is off on the run again. He wants to re-establish contact with Kasey who he left behind in Barstow. But he has discovered a personal aversion to going backward, and he realizes the murder of Kasey’s ex might be tied to his own problems. To find out what happens read this installment in the series.
It is a well written story. That stays true to the original character and universe. It is a fun read in what is shaping up to be a good series. Even if this volume had not been set in the Reacher Universe I would have enjoyed it. The fact that it is only adds to the mystique that is Jack Reacher. It was good read and leaves you desperate for the next installment in this series. This marks book 3 of 9 in the shorter editions or the end of the first of three of the omnibus editions. It is a thriller, a book I can easily recommend to fans of Reacher or anyone who love a god action thriller.

Rock Wahlman returns for another dance with death in this tightly plotted sequel to Moving Target. The enigmatic assassin, Mr. Tyler, is hot on Rock’s trail trying to earn his hefty fee and Rock and his girlfriend Kasey are equally determined not to become his next victims. It’s a fast-paced and exciting ride, as I have come to expect from Hardin. The ending—the assassin’s backup plan, so to speak—came as a big and much appreciated surprise for me. I’m looking forward to the next volume.

No Escape is the third book in the Jack Reacher Experiment series, following the adventures of Jack Reacher clone Rock Wahlman in the year 2098. Because why not.
This third entry in the series is much better than the previous one, taking place two months after the rushed and monumentally coincidental events of Moving Target. The storyline is much more streamlines and gets back on track as Rock and Kasey reunite, with the deadly Mr. Tyler.
The most disappointing thing about this book in the series is Mr. Tracy. For am action novel villain that identifies himself as "the greatest hit man in the world," he never manages to display an interesting personality, other than his willingness to threaten and/or kill his employers. The potential was there, but in the end this major foil to Rock ends up almost as flat and dull as his name.
But still, much better than the last book, faith is now restored in this possibly ending up a good series overall. We'll see.

Rock Wahlman has managed to barely escape death. Born out of an experiment a clone. An exact replica of Jack Reacher. The only one left. The military is relentlessly pursuing him. A covert branch that I'm sure a lot of Army personnel are not aware of. He has lost his closest friend in their relentless search for him. Now only one person knows his background, everything about him. A waitress named Kasey who he meet in Barstow. She has already been threatened by his pursuers. Her daughter is also at risk. They are constantly on high alert. Rock has eliminated their newest assassin, but another one or group will surely take his place. Non stop action! An excellent read!!

I enjoyed this book. The only complaint I have is Mr. Hardin's insistence on using run-on sentences. He has a great love for the word "and", and apparently a severe dislike for using punctuation other than periods.
Everything else was very good. I really like Kasie, the character who plays his current love interest. Really gutsy lady. I also really enjoyed the character of Mr. Tyler. For some reason, whenever I pictured him, it made me think of Cad Bane from the Star Wars Clone Wars animated series. Whenever Mr. Tyler spoke, I imagined a low, slow, drawn out drawl.
I hope the ensuing books are as enjoyable as this one.

“No Escape”, third in the 'Jack Reacher Experiment' series, sees Mr. Tyler hot on Rock's heels.
And Rock, in turn, is determined not to be caught and killed.
The sensible option would be to keep moving on but Rock decides against it because, wonder of wonders, he has feelings for Barstow waitress Kasey (which is odd considering he hardly knows her.)
But, given the circuitous nature of the bite size series, it is hardly surprising that Kasey holds the key to identifying the people who have hired Mr. Tyler.
It's a fast read but not a particularly good one.

Sometimes the hero doesn't do the smartest thing when given choices, but hey, he's only human, right? Great genetics doesn't necessarily mean great thinker, just great instincts and a great body. Although I like this story the best to date, I just noticed that there are more available. Heading that way now. Love the action and the adrenaline fueled pace, but wish the author was as graphic with the bedroom scenes as the killing scenes. Just keeping it real in 2098.

This is an apparently approved spin off of the Childs' Reacher series, set in the future on the premise that the government cloned special people without their consent or knowledge, based on their special skills and attributes.
Rock is a clone of Jack Reacher, one of two. Being that this is Book 3, don't really know what happened in Books 1 & 2, and the end of this one leads right into the next book like a cliffhanger.

The 3rd book in the boxed set, this is where things really heat up and we feel as the end is in sight.
Sorry. No HEA, just yet, although there are some resolutions and some re-acquaintences that liven the story up. Looks like we will all have to look into the next book, for more answers to who the mastermind is behind this caper.

A typical giant 'Greek god' type of shooter
This nit for someone who is looking for a great way to spend a weekend with plot and character development. If you're old enough or into vintage shooters this is just a Mack Bolan rehash type of story. Got 4 stars from me because it kept me entertained while waiting for a doctors appointment

Thus far, the best of the Rock Wahlman (this name...) series. These seem more like novellas and puzzled chapters more than finished books.
One question, why are we calling this guy "Mr. Tyler"? Everyone else is going by their actual name.
The savior of this book was the last chapter. I'll read on, otherwise, I'm in a place that feels like tail chasing!

These Jack Reacher Experiment books seem to be more novella than novel, perhaps even chapters. Consequently a very quick read. As with my previous reviews on the Jude Hardin series, this book was entertaining enough for me to want to see how the story ends.

'No Escape' is a good addition to a day paced, quick read series. Rock is fighting to keep himself and Kasey safe. I love the suspense. I look forward to reading more.

Another great episode in the life of Rock Wahlman. I found in rather odd that Hardin tied in Kasey’s ex husband in on this as the one to hire Mr. Tyler. Only Tyler had no patience for him and blew him away like he blows everyone. So now we go on beyond. 5

Good fast read
Good book, short but flows well. I did read these in succession which did make the storyline flow better. If your looking for more "Reacher" type reading your not going to have that storyline here
