Unfortunately, the new 52 is alive and well. However, Johns does a fantastic job of setting up where the DC universe is headed for the next few years. He introduces a larger mystery, that someone orchestrated the new 52 out of Flashpoint. We visit a lot of characters throughout the DCU, setting them on new paths and reminding them of things wiped out in new 52. The book is full of great art. Finally Johns introduces something really cool at the end of the book. I just hope the rest of DC doesn't screw it up.

Reread this as part of the DC Rebirth Omnibus and had a few additional thoughts. This sets up Atom to have a big roll in Rebirth, but we haven't really seen him yet that I'm aware of. I was hoping we'd get an Atom series out of this. Hopefully DC will also still deal with the JSA and Legion of Super-Heroes threads left dangling here.

It was interesting to see pages from DC universe: Rebirth recreated in the individual Rebirth issues.
I'll leave the reviews of the individual Rebirth issues to all of their individual trades.

While this was cool, I wouldn't buy it. There's nothing here that isn't in the individual Rebirth trades. I only read it because I found it at the library.

Yo, this is a ton of shit. I mean, this took me awhile to read all this. So let’s just break down the ones I did read. If you see a few missing it’s probably because I skipped ‘em. I have no interest in Red Hood or Cyborg.

DC Universe: Rebirth - 3.5/5 – This is some solid shit. I mean it probably means more to people who’ve been reading DC for 10+ years, but it’s still great. The touching moments work and Wally is one of the best characters to be the protagonist here. He’s like “Barry, you fucked this shit up. But it’s worse than that.” And the big end reveal is both interesting and exciting. Also sick art. Yeah, overall very enjoyable even if I didn’t connect with everything.

The Flash: Rebirth - 3.5/5 – Well, it’s a more exciting start than New52 so that’s good. I have a lot of faith this will be special because I enjoy the writer’s other work a ton (go read Nailbiter, seriously) and Barry seems more “fun” in this than whatever boring piece of shit was in the New52.

Titans: Rebirth – 3/5 – I actually enjoyed this one a lot. Wally is awesome and seeing him connect with all the titans again was magical. I thought it was weird how they all just got together, in a random place, but screw it. Who can deny bros and hoes uniting in one.

Batman: Rebirth - 2/5 – Really boring for the most part. Love the art and some cool moments filled with confusing narrative at points and dull ending that didn’t make me jump for joy or make me want to pick up the next issue.

Aquaman: Rebirth - 2.5 – This was right in the middle. Enjoyed the art. Like the ending. But the rest of this one came off as kind of silly. Like we know Aquaman looks dumb but he’s still loved, come o now.

Green Arrow: Rebirth - 4.5/5 – I haven’t had good vibes about green arrow like this since I read Lemire’s run. Like holy fuck, this shit was great. The art was on point, some of the best in this whole book. I also loved the chemistry between Green Arrow and BC. I also like they get Ollie young but more attributes to his older self. Overall, kickass stuff.

Justice League: Rebirth – 1/5 – The fuck was this shit? Decent art but boring as fuck, disjointed, and a bad version of Avengers the movie.

Wonder Woman: Rebirth - 3/5 – This is what I’m talking about. Cool “What if, who am I, what’s this” type of storyline. Wonder Woman is now on my list of things to read, also great art.

Green Lanterns: Rebirth - 2.5 – Solid but kind of lacking that special something. I enjoyed it, and like the team up, and will read more because it seems like a perfect entry point, but wasn’t amazed.

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps: Rebirth - 2.5 – Similar to the other, this one seems for the fans of the older Green Lantern stories…which I should get on.

Nightwing: Rebirth - 2/5 – Disappointed would be the word. I love Dick…wait…anyway I do. He’s great but this comic came off as bland. Just going over events, which sure a lot of these do, but in the most boring way. Also the art is just meh.

Superman: Rebirth - 3/5 – Easy to read, tribute to the old New52 superman by saying goodbye and giving him respect. More excited to see where this goes.

Blue Beetle: Rebirth - 1/5 – WOW I wanted to love this but fuck this. Not funny at all, boring, art is okay, everyone looks weird, ugh I wanted to love this goddamn it!

Supergirl: Rebirth - 1/5 – Boring…I mean real fucking boring…

Batman Beyond: Rebirth – 3.5 – Woot, least one I was looking forward to scored good (Fuck you nightwing and blue beetle) but it had a few issues, mainly too much recapping. Still, the ending left it up in the air of where it’s going and I like the new “family” angle it got going for it. Will read more.

So this is it. My big review. If I miss a few, fuck em. Now time to start cracking into their full length TPB. Woot woot! Go DC! 3/5 all together.

I need to write a review before I completely forget everything about this book. It was a good intro into all the major DC Comic lines that are featured in the Rebirth initiative. They are set up like miniature comic book issues. My understanding is that each storyline is touched on in this omnibus and it's continued in the individual volumes.

I liked some more than others. I think it's about what your preference in and what characters you like. I'm sure if you spend enough time with me, you can guess which ones quirked my interest.

I think this is good if you're curious about what they will do with each of the Rebirth comic book series.

I have a whole lot to say about this comic and I definitely need time to describe how I feel about each and every issue. There were some that were really good and others that were not so good. I think this book definitely deserves its own blog post so I'll definitely be working towards creating. Overall I think is an interesting beginning and start to a new series and image of D.C.

DC Universe Rebirth is 2016's relaunch of the DC Universe following the New 52 initiative, in which all the classic heroes were rebooted in various ways. As an omnibus, this large volume collects the first stories in this relaunch, all together as a variety of different tales featuring different heroes and different art styles.

The story follows a variety of different characters across the multiverse (multiple universes) as Wally West races back into existence, with the fact that something or someone has wiped all memory of him from his friends and family. This, the reader is suggested by visual cues, may have something to do with the Watchmen – and the DC Universe looks as if it may be headed on a collision course with those particular characters from Alan Moore’s work.

For more than 35 years, a goodly portion of my life was spent buying as many DC Comics as I could. More than I could afford as it turns out. I had to quit cold turkey six or seven years ago for financial reasons.

I've picked up DC trade paperbacks from various libraries since then, and mostly found the books disappointing (especially Batman as written by Scott Snyder). I read 89 volumes of The New 52 and found all but four to be pretty much a waste of time. (Oh, god, is that a lot of wasted time!)

I was hoping the Rebirth stories would be a fresh start, but having waded through this collection of new #1's, I can see that my time would be better spent elsewhere. With the exception of Greg Rucka's tolerable Wonder Woman entry, this is superhero dreck at its dullest.

Okay, well, there were definitely some interesting stories here! Also some duds, but most of them (I think) will be worth following...

Most amazing dud:
Blue beetle! .. too bad because I like the character .. But there was just nothing exciting going on here + hated the artwork...

Also not so good:
Aquaman... feels like they didn't even try with this one anymore and just fiddled with their thumbs while dreaming up this story..

Loved:
Hellblazer .. Well what can I say: I just dig Constantine B-)
Deathstroke ... again, great character right ;) Go Slade!

I have been trying and trying and trying to read everything I want out of the New 52 before tackling Rebirth, but when we got this hefty collection in at the library... my resolve crumbled. I've heard many times that Rebirth has been impressive thus far, and, from the sneak peaks found in this volume... yeah, I'm excited. Really excited. I'm still going to work my way through the New 52 story lines, but I at least feel slightly more up to date with the rest of the comic world. I was surprised how quickly I was able to read this omnibus. Since it was so large (nearly 800 pages), I thought it might feel like a chore. But, somehow, it never did. That, alone, I think is a testament to the writing in Rebirth. That, and the fact that some of the issues in here now have me wanting to read series I'd never really considered before. Oh, the simultaneous joys and frustrations of being a comic nerd: It's like that divination class from the third Harry Potter movie: "You're going to suffer... but you're going to be happy about it." So true, so true.
But, again, this volume was huge, and I still have even more catch-up to do before I truly dive into Rebirth. So I'm going to not only review the issues in this compendium, but also use it as a way to remember which ones I wanted to pick up again later. But, first, my review of the actual opening Rebirth story:
WALLY'S BACK!!! Wally West (the original) is hands-down, one of my favorite DC characters. His character on the TV show "Young Justice" was a driving force behind making me a DC fan. Seeing him back again, along with a really cool time-travel plot, makes me beyond excited for what is up next in the Rebirth saga. That said, I'm still kind of confused as to what's going on. Some of that might be because I haven't read all of the prior stories, and some of that might be intentional. I have a feeling most of my questions will be answered in "The Button."
And now, onto the individual issues:
(1)Batman: I'd actually read this one before. It was a preview at the end of the New 52's final Batman volume. I can't say this one left a particular impact. It was fine, but it didn't wow me like a lot of other Batman stories have. Still, it's Batman, so it's not like I won't read this series. Not reading Batman just doesn't compute.
(2) Superman: Again, I haven't read everything, so I was definitely confused in parts. But I got the general idea: that the Superman we're following is from a different version of our world and, if I'm not mistaken, he is the Superman we're actually more familiar with rather than the New 52 Superman... I think? Again, I haven't read everything, so if anyone could point me towards what I need to read to fill in the details, I would be very appreciative. (I think it's "The Last Days of Superman" and "Road to Rebirth: Lois and Clark?") Still, like Batman, Superman is a strong favorite, so I will definitely be continuing this series. (Also, I met his son in the Rebirth Holiday special--also in this omnibus--and I'm really excited to see more of those family-centered stories.)
(2) Wonder Woman: An interesting story. Again, there was confusion because I hadn't read much of Wonder Woman previously, but this was an engaging enough read. This isn't one that I'm exactly excited for, but if I need something else to read down the road, I'll probably give this series a try. In short, it's the first of my runners-up.
(3) Flash: Wally West. Enough said. I enjoy Barry Allen, so I'm excited to see more of his adventures, but we've got a universe with both Barry and Wally in it again and that makes me super eager to dive into this series.
(4) Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps: As if I don't have enough to read.... I'd started having an interest in Green Lantern after reading "Celebrating 75 Years of Green Lantern," but I hadn't explored the character much in contemporary comics. But this one... piqued my interest.
(5) Aquaman: While I have certainly learned that Aquaman does not "suck underwater," as "The Big Bang Theory" previously had me believe, I can't say that he's a character that is on my must-read list. This story was interesting, and I'll look forward to seeing him alongside other heroes, and, one day, I might even pick up this series. I did like the chemistry between him and Mera, though, and for that reason, this is definitely number 2 on my runners-up list.
(6) Green Arrow: I hadn't considered reading this hero before, but this one was pretty good. Some of the commentary was a little preachy, but, from what I understand of this character's history, that's simply part of the tapestry in his comics. Maybe not one to read right away, but definitely on my runners-up list somewhere.
(7) Cyborg: For some reason, this hero just doesn't do anything for me. He's interesting enough, but there's always someone else that is more interesting. That said, this comic was definitely well-written. I enjoyed seeing the current story play out alongside Cyborg's backstory. However, I doubt I'll be reading many solo Cyborg stories.
(8) Green Lanterns: So... I really, really liked this one. I like the characters of Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz: they're interesting and relatable and, especially in Jessica's case, a unique look at overcoming fear. I don't know much about these characters and their backstories, but I can't wait to learn more. This is definitely, definitely a series I will be checking out.
(9) Justice League: This is another one I'd stumbled upon previously, in "Justice League: Their Greatest Triumphs." I enjoyed it then, and I enjoyed it again now, especially getting to know this "new" Superman. I may not read Cyborg, Aquaman, or Wonder Woman solo, but I'll be excited to see them do their super-thing in this series.
(10) Nightwing: Be still my heart.... Growing up, I watched the old 1960s "Batman," and I am not ashamed to say that Robin was my first crush. And when I got older and discovered that he actually became his own hero, I was pretty much sold. However, what I've read of him in the New 52 has seemed... bland. Somehow, that special Dick Grayson spark wasn't there. But in this issue... it was back! I don't know what the difference is, but somehow, this felt like Nightwing to me and the other one didn't. I also liked that, it seemed, this series might explore the brotherly relationship he has with Damian. And, as I've said countless times, I'm a fan of familial themes. So basically... this series has a strong spot on my to-read list.
(11) Titans: Wally West. Dick Grayson. Roy Harper. I don't need to say anything else except: MUST READ.
(12) Batgirl and the Birds of Prey: This was a fine read. I read everything in the Batgirl New 52 series, and while I enjoyed it, I can't say it left as much of an impact as some of the others. All the stories were well-written and engaging, and while I really like Batgirl... I think I'd rather see her on her own than with the Birds of Prey. Still, she's Bat-Family, so I might pick this series up sometime. Another one for my runners-up list.
(13) The Hellblazer: I've never been a fan of supernatural comics. They just... don't gel with me. I read this one just to see what it was like and to have a reference point when people talk about Constantine. And yep, that's what I got out of this comic and not much else. Like I said, this really isn't my thing. (Though I did like the very brief Captain Marvel cameo.)
(14) Red Hood and the Outlaws: Yes. Yes! YES! I haven't read a ton of Jason Todd as the Red Hood, but what I have has been not only entertaining, but downright intriguing. I love me an antihero, and Jason Todd is probably the most engaging antihero I've come across. I am very, very excited about this series, especially since I've heard the writers are doing a kind of reverse-trinity thing with Red Hood, Bizarro (another favorite!) and Artemis. In short... I'm in!
(15) Suicide Squad: I haven't dived into Suicide Squad much, so I enjoyed giving this a read and learning something more about that concept. It was obviously much better than the movie... but it also didn't exactly feel like my thing. I can't place why, but it didn't have that wow factor for me. A runner-up, maybe, but lower on the list.
(16) Deathstroke: This comic felt like an interesting character study into Deathstroke, and, as that, I enjoyed it. However, like Suicide Squad, this comic didn't do much for me. But, unlike Suicide Squad, it isn't a runner-up.
(17) Supergirl: I enjoyed this. I was a little confused by parts, but I've always liked Kara's character. However... I've always liked Clark's character more. So, when it comes down to what I have time to read, Superman will definitely take precedent. Though this could be a runner-up.
(18) Blue Beetle: I met Blue Beetle in "Young Justice," and he was immediately one of my favorite characters out of season 2. The differences between this comic and the show just make him more interesting, particularly his reluctance to be a hero and the billionaire semi-forcing him into the whole thing. I did really like how Jaime and the scarab talked in YJ though, so I'm hoping that shows up somehow in the series. Still, this is one that I will definitely be reading.
(19) Teen Titans: Okay, first of all... TIM DRAKE IS DEAD?!? When did that happen? I'm sure if I keep plowing through the New 52 I'll find out, but... seriously, guys?!? What is with your obsession with killing Robins? Can't you just... let us have our Robins? Seriously!?! But... I digress. I'm definitely reading this series because Damian Wayne (my second favorite Robin) is leading it. Lots of Damian means lots of happy for me.
(20) Batman Beyond: I was never a fan of this show. I'm slightly intrigued by this Joker resurrection story line, so one day, maybe, I might finish that. But that's a big maybe. Regardless, this won't be a series I'll follow.
(21) JLA: The Atom: I really liked Ryan. I like that he has some serious obstacles to overcome and that's he's uncertain. I'm excited to see what they're going to do with this character.
(22) JLA: Vixen: I was surprised by how engaging this character was. I usually avoid new superheroes because they don't seem to have the substance of the classic ones, but... DC is actually proving me wrong. I'm curious to know more about Vixen and her world. I want to know more about her amulet and how it works. I'm eager to see her fight alongside other heroes.
(23) JLA: Ray: Again, DC proved me wrong and gave me another interesting new superhero. I want to know what happens next in this character's life.
(24) JLA: Killer Frost: Everyone likes a redemption story, and I'm not different.
(25) Justice League of America: When I'd first heard about this special Batman-led Justice League with both heroes and villains I was like, "Wow, they're really desperate for new ideas." But actually... these new ideas are kind of refreshing. I'm actually interested in this group of people and curious about how they're going to come together and face threats. So, surprisingly... I'll probably follow this series.
(26) Batwoman: I just don't like Batwoman. She just seems like a female Jason Todd to me. And, in this comic, that's how she felt again. I'm glad I gave her another try, but I can't see this being a hero I'll ever really be into.
And... that's it. Phew.
A quote from the "Wall Street Journal" on the cover of this collection described it as "a compass for the new era." And, as you can see from my very lengthy analysis, that's exactly what it is. I now know exactly what I want to read and what I don't want to read out of Rebirth.
Now, all I have to do is finish catching up... Man, do I have a lot of reading ahead of me. Wish me luck!

Recommended. I'm fairly new to comics but I enjoyed this immensely. Some I liked more than others, with some having both great art and great stories, some with good stories, distracting art, or vice versa. Probably my favorite was Green Arrow. The story was good and the art was clean and not distracting from the story but it actually added to the story. I would recommend this to anyone who likes comics, those who are new to comics, such as myself, and fans of good stories. Pick characters that you like and explore their stories further. That's what I plan on doing

This will be a long one, lots of stories, I'll make it as brief as possible:

DC Universe Rebirth 3.5/5
Interesting start, leans a bit too much on knowing a lot about the past of DC to make sense.
Batman Rebirth 2/5
Some cool panels, not a very interesting story at all.
Superman Rebirth 3.5/5
Made me interested to see more, an odd premise.
Wonder Woman Rebirth 4/5
A very promising start with an interesting mystery
The Flash 4/5
Great start to the Flash series, like the emphasis on him being a forensic scientist.
Hal Jordan and The Green Lanterns Corp Rebirth 2/5
Unmemorable, confusing to a non Green Lantern fan.
Aquaman 2/5
Not enjoyable, tries too hard to make Aquaman interesting but is just boring
Green Arrow Rebirth 3.5/5
Good intro, characterization is a bit too on the nose.
Cyborg Rebirth 2/5
Very wordy, boring.
Green Lanterns Rebirth 1.5/5
Why is everyone so annoying?
Justice League Rebirth 2.5/5
Not much to comment on, it works, it's just kind of standard and boring
Nightwing Rebirth 3/5
Could've been better, just fine.
Titans Rebirth 4/5
Surprisingly enjoyable introduction to all these characters and their memories with Kid Flash, a promising start.
Batgirl and the Birds of Prey 3.5/5
A good introduction to a mystery
The Hellblazer Rebirth 4/5
Great anti-hero intro that introduces snarky main character in a fun way
Suicide Squad Rebirth 2/5
Ridiculous intro, bad dialogue.
Deathstroke Rebirth 4/5
Another great anti-hero/villain intro, enough to make you interested but not hate the main asshole character
Supergirl Rebirth 2.5/5
Eh, not terrible but not very good either. Weak start.
Blue Beetle Rebirth 1/5
Just the worst of them all, obnoxious, don't care at all about this one after reading it
Teen Titans Rebirth 2/5
A bad introduction to the characters that'll make you appreciate Titans much more, they all get shocked while doing shit alone then it ends with introduction of who did it.
Batman Beyond Rebirth 3.5/5
Solid start reminds me of a sequel to the show, a good one.

Overall 3/5
Not a great start to this rebirth when so many of these aren't very good, there's some worth your while. I urge you to give whatever seems interesting a chance, you just might like it better than for me. Overall for me though, not a great start, very few really good issues.

Confession: I haven't read this Omnibus. But what I *did* do was read DC Universe: Rebirth, and then purchase every one of the Rebirth #1s from from Comixology. Yeah.

The DC Universe Rebirth title was absolutely tremendous, bringing back Wally West and hitting me right in the feels, especially given that I'm a huge classic Teen Titans fan.

The rest of the #1s, though, are a bit of a mixed bag. Some highlights/lowlights:

Titles I'm definitely going to pick up in trades: Wonder Woman, Titans, Flash, Superman, Batman, Justice League, Cyborg. (Maybe Teen Titans, too.)

Titles I hadn't previously read any previous runs or issues of:

Here are the #1s I read for titles I'd never read before: Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Green Lanterns, Nightwing, The Hellblazer, Batgirl and the Birds of Prey, Red Hood and the Outlaws, Blue Beetle, Deathstroke, Suicide Squad, Batman Beyond, Cyborg.

I'm actually caught up with the Supergirl title for podcasting reasons and I'm enjoying the different take on Cyborg Superman. The funny thing is, I'm closing in on also finishing the New 52 run of Supergirl, and from reading Rebirth #1, I totally know where it ends. Heh.

I wasn't crazy about everything. Aquaman didn't do much for me, and I'm not sure I connected with the new Green Lanterns. I was intrigued to read about Constantine, Batgirl, and Red Hood, but I'm not particularly motivated to pick any of those up. And Blue Beetle completely fell flat for me (but then, it's not Ted Kord, so it's not *my* Blue Beetle).

Your mileage may vary, so this Omnibus is probably an excellent jumping off point.

To celebrate the launched DC: Rebirth, DC Comics has launched twenty-two Rebirth Specials that served as an issue #0 for many of the on-going series. Later on, six more Rebirth Specials were also issued – five pertaining to the new Justice League of America and one for Batwoman. DC Rebirth Omnibus: Expanded Edition contains all twenty-eight Rebirth Special plus DC Rebirth Holiday Special.

With twenty-nine issues, scores of writers, graphic artists and colorist it is extremely difficult to rate this massive anthology. For the most part, I'm pretty much liked about eighty per cent of this massive anthology. The art throughout is beautifully rendered and rather even throughout the enormous collection, with some penceilers better than others. The writing, for the most part was rather well, but in certain cases was much to be desired. The reason I like this omnibus is that each story has a fresh, yet also familiar tone. Hopefully that will translate into their future series.

All in all, I think DC Rebirth Omnibus: Expanded Edition is a wonderful collection of what is in essence an issue #0 for the upcoming Rebirth titles. From Aquaman to Wonder Woman each and every Rebirth Special was included and makes a wonderful reference book to the beginning of a new epoch of DC Comics.

Good lord this sucker is beefy. Didn't realize quite how large it was until I got it from the library.

As a middle-aged comic fan with strong DC alliances (Batman, Blue Beetle (Ted Kord), Constantine, Dr. Fate, The Question, The Stranger are my faves), I've not been a big fan of the reboot fever dating back to the 52 weeks, and the various Infinite Crises before that (though I of course have a spot in my heart for the original Crisis on Infinite Earths).

Still, this started out really strong, with Wally West's very affecting attempts to be remembered in DCU: Rebirth and The Flash. I also enjoyed the Batman issue and continuing the Wally West storyline with Titans. The rest...meh, including Hellblazer and Blue Beetle.

Prob best to skip this doorstop and just follow along with Flash and Titans.

Re•Birth (noun)

The action of reappearing or starting to flourish or increase after a decline.

I don’t carry the baggage of the New 52 that some readers do. I am new to DC (and the entire words and art as a storytelling medium). This massive omnibus ended up being a good place to start. I am excited to dig in on stories I didn’t even know existed (Red Hood, The Ray, Justice League of America) along with those that are familiar from other mediums (Batman, Batwoman, and Teen Titans).

A mix of 3 and 4 stars on a standalone basis. But as a newbie I’ll bump that up to 4. After all DC is admitting The New 52 put the franchise in decline by labeling this a rebirth and this reset has me hooked.

I am one of those who hates the whole multiverse concept so, of course, the start of the Omnibus was frustrating for me. I had purposefully stayed out of the Rebirth concept because I read the premise was to unify story lines before beginning anew. But this was a chance to take a look without fully committing. And when I reached the stories that just ran with the present I really started to enjoy this tome as a good read and not an overpriced paperweight. Now I feel like I am ready to enter the Rebirth world and have a handle on which runs I will most enjoy. So I say, well done DC.

Well. That was a bunch of comics. I thought this would be a good way to get back into DC, but it was quickly clear that I was wrong. There's still a lot of continuity stuff that's hinted at or outright picked up and my passing knowledge wasn't enough. I ended up skipping the non-Bat books after a while.

I'll be continuing with the Batbooks. I should have just picked up those trades and skipped this one. I'm going to be confused but such is the life of a not-so-dedicated fangirl.

Took out the dates read so this won't count for my reading challenge.

An interesting compilation, but not what I expected. This Omnibus contains the first issue of the majority of the Dc rebirth comics released at the time - such as Batman #1, Titans #1, Hellblazer #1 etc. etc. - So if you are looking for where to start in the Dc Rebirth universe this may help you where to start, but at a very steep price for what it is. An extended version has since been released with additional comics, so if you are even remotely interested in the idea of this omnibus, you’d be better off buying that one instead.

Couldn't quite give it a four as this was simply a brief intro to all the characters. However, it provided a great opportunity to figure out which characters I would start reading. As I work through volume 1 for each I'm sure I'll have to quickly scan through the rebirth issue to recap. Excited to be finally getting around to cutting my teeth in DC Universe.

Overall, very good. Kept having to ask my husband questions, since I'm still in 2006 in my normal DC continuity. The Batman Rebirth was the odd one out, where I really didn't understand what was going on, and he wasn't any help. Then he tried to explain Superman to me, and my eyes glazed over...

In the main story, I think that the Wally return was really cool, I'm not so conviced about mixing all of this with the Watchmen stuff but well, let's see what happens in the future, for now is cool.
I like almost all the other one shots.

Kept this in the basement and read it when waiting for movie night to begin, reading a few pages at a time. Finally finished. Whew. Some stories better than others, some epic moments. Glad I read it.

61/130 (2019 Reading Challenge)

Read the expanded Ed. Is good for what is, has the main rebirth story & first issue of most of the MANY ongoing DC stories. Gave me a few other than the main ones that interested in looking into.

Read Rebirth, the main title. Then checked an issue by issue reading guide that suggested I go back further. Starting with The Watchmen. Unfortunately this isn't in the basic plan for DC Infinate so I need to wait until a copy comes into the library.
On hold until then.

A fantastic way to introduce someone into the DC world after the New 52 is ended and Rebirth is starting

This has it all, so many one shot intros into the Rebirth series

A great way to decide which ones to read or skip.
