This is an excellent book especially for those of us who suffer from arthritis. And you don't have to be your "grandmother's age" to suffer from this painful and debilitating disease. I have several friends around age 50 who are afflicted. I suggest that you read this book and with continued practice you may see improvement or even a reversal of your condition. Dr. Yang, presents Qigong exercises in an easy to learn format. This book is a keeper.
Hope for Painful Arthritis… An approach I strongly encourage you to read and practice! Dr. Yang has written so many books and created so many DVDs it is a blessing to the World that he chose to persue his passion of martial. “Pain Free Joints” is a short (but informative) book that is packed full of information about arthritis and how to treat it, from the traditional Chinese medicine point of view. And I love how Dr. Yang compares the “eastern” approach with the “western” way. Dr. Yang always emphasizes that learning the theory, principles and exercises together are best done hand in hand so that you can mentally and physically integrate what works for you. Dr. Yang describes it the theory in a simple manner and shows the exercises photographically very well. If you are suffering from arthritis, or are from a family of sufferers and you fear one day you might get arthritis, this book will encourage you to experiment with the exercises and see what resonates within your body for long term benefits of health and reduced pain. Don’t ever give up on trying something new for arthritis. I can attest to that. But treating it will take perseverance. This book just might have that one exercise, that secret, that brings you some relief. It is worth every penny.
