Edna Iturralde De Howitt (b. 1948, Quito) es una escritora de literatura infantil y juvenil, novela histórica y pionera de la etnohistoria narrativa ecuatoriana. Es considerada hito de la literatura infantil y juvenil del Ecuador. Reconocida a nivel nacional e internacional ha sido galardona a lo largo de su trayectoria, siendo sus libros publicados en varios países.
She is a 2014 International Latino Book Awards Finalist. Edna has six children and nine grandchildren. She lives in Quito, Ecuador in the Valley of Tumbaco with her husband and four dogs, who keep her company while she writes. She visits school children who read her books often.
