Let's see, let's see...You've got 5 seriously sexy guys working to flip an old brownstone over a hot, steamy summer. The next door neighbor is a young hottie (Kate) working to refurbish the townhouse that her late grandfather bequethed to her. She's had her eye on all the men all summer, but one tattooed hunk in particular (Mike, the leader of the 5 man crew) really gets her motor running. One day while ogling him while he's working shirtless on the roof, she has an accident while on a ladder, and pitches out of her open window and nearly falls off the roof until the studtastic Mike saves her at the last minute. Sparks fly, Mike stays with her at her house after a trip to the ER, and she wakes up in bed with him the next morning where things take off from there...yowza! But Kate fights what's obviously between them because she doesn't think it's fair to lead him on since she...well...she wants his partners too! No worries, says Mike. Let me help you achieve that little fantasy...
You can guess the rest. Mike and his crew have their wicked way with Kate (and each other!) poolside and in the pool. M/M/M/M/M/F SMUT!
Wow. This was incredibly stupid and smoking hot! Plot concerns... well, I guess there was no plot... let's see... Kate is rehabbing a house she inherited and has the hots for ALL FIVE of the construction workers who are flipping the house next door. The five guys run the gamut of the Kinsey scale and a poolside orgy ensues. Every kind of sex imaginable takes place (even underwater.)
The writing was quite good overall, but some of the lines were a bit cringe-worthy. Who cares, though? It was all hot, hot, hot! Four stars for bisexual construction workers and a girl after my own heart!
I guess you all want a hot construction worker pic, right? I'm here to serve and did not look at construction worker porn just for kicks! Just multiply this honey by five and you'll get an idea of what this story was all about.

I can't believe how much I enjoyed this book, I mean it's super short so some things happen way too quickly for my liking but aside from that it was very entertaining.
My favorite thing about Kate's Crew is how open everyone is to try new things and respect their partners' decisions, like for me is so important when books portray that if you say no it's no and it's not a big deal, they will enjoy doing whatever you're comfortable with. Just because of that I would give this book five stars.
However, there were two main things that I didn't quite enjoy. The first one was that Kate and one of the Crew have sex way too soon and they don't use protecting, Kate just tells him she's "clean" and that hopefully he is too, which he says he is. That's so irresponsible. Then, we had a sex scene where she was underwater and Mike gave her oxygen by kissing her and I just thought that was a bit unrealistic.
Concerning characters, I think my favorites were Neil and James, two other guys that are in the Crew. I just loved their relationship, they were my OTP from this book and wish I could have seen more of them. I guess I'll have to wait until book four (or maybe I'll just skip book 2 and 3 to get to that one sooner) 😂

Okay so this wasn't quite what I was expecting. I knew this would be a hot gangbang, but I didn't realize it had M/M (or even M/M/M/M/M) action. That being said, it was still hot for what it was. We did get the DP that is needed for a good gangbang story (a little more than that, as I'm not even sure what to call that tangle of bodies). As anyone who's read my work knows, I think some rimming would have added some spice to the story but maybe that was saved for the sequel.
Overall it was a little rushed, but this was more a sex story than anything with a deep plot.
If you like gangbang/reverse harem type reads with male on male action you'll probably like it.

wow, that was a very hot book. Short read, but very satisfying. I just want to know what sort of industrial strength deck chair they were using, to support four peoples weight. Pool scene was rock in!
Still, I would of enjoyed it a bit more with more character development. I am very character orientated.

I remember someone in my GR group snarking about a woman having sex underwater in a swimming pool. I found it to be amusing and wondered which story it was she read. Well, I don't need to wonder anymore, it must have been this one! I had to suspend reality for a bit to get through the underwater sex scene. While it was rather ludicrous, it was still pretty kinky and I enjoyed it. It did not destroy the book for me.
This book, I hate to say, is probably better classified as porn without a plot. I understand it can be argued there was a plot. It was so thin that I can't say with a straight face that this is a well developed erotica. What I can say is that I liked it. I also found the sex HOT. Yes, some women say more than two guys is too much. Please, what woman is going to turn down five guys sexually pleasuring her? This book is great to keep in the spank bank. It was a fun light read. This book is recommended to someone who wants some mind candy. My DH says this is clit candy.

ETA - Reread and retagged 1/11/13 - I originally read this almost two years ago and it's still my favorite Powertools read. It's up in the Hall of Fame for me because this was among the first mmf menage / voyeur reads which is my favorite sexual mix to this day. I'm not expecting much out of this hot, dirty read and I've reread it several times so I like it.

Well, it had entertainment value for a BOM discussion. The setting in my head was certainly different from what the author might have had in mind when she said "townhouse."
Also, a very important thing I have learnt is to disinfect every single surface when buying a newly renovated house, and to completely drain the pool and cleaning it before ever using it, no matter how inviting everything may look at first glance.
The writing was sometimes a little disjointed. It was to be expected that there would be little background information and little character development. It's a menage erotica and short, so obviously there was no room. But there was SO little description that I had no idea who any of them were and I kept confusing the men. And yet, sometimes there was the odd snipped of description randomly thrown in.

Since my previous story lacked the spice but had a storyline,i followed it up with Kate’s Crew….
Because this quicky may have lacked a real storyline,but the spice was HOT!!
In short,Kate’s neighbor Mike and his crew are fixing up his house and lending her a hand with her house when she needs them.
There’s only one problem though…..she’s lusting not only after Mike,but after all of them!
And there’s no way anything good can come of that….right?

Well if this book didn't leave me sweating, and it wasn't from the California heat ;) So much male! Yum<3 I've had this book on my tbr for a while now. It took me so long to pick up and read, that after actually reading it, I regret not diving into this one sooner! Thank you Steph for recommending this sexy read.
Kate couldn't help staring out her window to the neighbor's house, one hot summer day. With five amazingly sexy men, who could blame her. But while Kate was staring out her window, she was also on a ladder, straining to get a better view, she leans too far and tumbles outside. Thank God for sexy men willing to play super hero ;) Mike comes to the rescue, and keeps her from tumbling all the way down. Refusing to leave her lest she goes unconscious from hitting her head, Mike spends the night with Kate, which inevitable results in some hot sex. But to Kate's dismay, she feels she cannot keep him.. she's keep a secret that would surely disgust any man, and send him running. But when Kate share's her secret fantasy with Mike, she's shocked to find out he's willing to help her fulfill it!

But to be honest, it never felt like actual M/M romance at all (a smutty one at least).. mind you it wasn't because the men refused to kiss, or there wasn't any sexual tension at all. It was solely because the story was much more focused on getting one of the main characters back to the safety of his home, and less about the sex. So, it's safe to say that Kate's crew was my first introduction to M/M sex.. ever! And boy... was it sexy as hell!! *fanning self*
Just like Kate, I was riveted by the action between James, Neil, Dave and Joe. The sexual tension that oozed between these four yummy men was, for all intents and purposes, HOT! And to top it all off, can you imagine watching these men having sex, while hidden AND getting some yourself? Voyeurism at it's finest I tell ya ;) Yes, I'm a perve, but definitely only when it comes to my smut! xD LOL Now that's not to say, Kate doesn't engage with the hot, deliciously sexual men all at once, that's a scene you'll have to read over yourselves ;)
Since this story was a short read, I didn't quite connect with the characters emotionally, but sexually you can feel their need. It was fast paced, flowed nicely, and for all my HEA lovers, definitely worth a read, cause despite all the sex, the undercurrents sure scream romance. Now, I'm looking forward to book 2 while I read book 3 (Don't ask -__- LOL).

I've read this book at least a couple of times over the past several years. Mike and his crew already had a special bond. When the tension between Kate and Mike ratchets up, she's provided with a chance to witness, and later be the center of, their loving relationship. This is a dripping hot story with MMMMFM in a variety of groupings. This was my first Rylon book but definitely not my last!

This story can melt chocolate even if it’s in your freezer.
I read this book on the laptop as we drove to Orlando for vacation, do not, I
repeat do not try this while driving. Let me say this book was so hot I was
seriously feeling like melted chocolate, very decadent and smooth and I needed
well…… I had to have my husband stop at a rest area before I embarrassed
myself in front of him and the kids and cool off before I finished the story.
My husband kept looking at me and asking me if I was alright. I said yes but I want
you, let’s just say his mouth fell open then he smiled- to bad we aren’t at home.
I wasn’t sure my legs would hold me up when I got
out of the car.
The story line is excellent and probably almost every woman’s fantasy.
The characters are very likable and I love how Kate “falls” for Mike, and the
swimming pool…….OMG. As you can tell the love scenes are out of this world
sexy and I could have read on for quite awhile although my husband would have
had to clean me up with a spoon .
The story reminds me of a line from a old country song….She was hotter than a two dollar pistol..she was the hottest
thing in town….. I would have loved the story to be longer with more of those
fantastic love scenes and character interaction but this short is definitely
full of bang for your buck.
Ms. Rylon please consider expanding this story, oh
and send those boys my way tonight!!!!I’m staying in Orlando so you can give
them directions

All I can think to say is holy s**t this book was smokin' hot!
I would have liked it more if it was a bit longer.
I love the whole idea of these guys working together and having this incredibly sexual realtionship.
I honestly have never read anything like it. My heart rate won't go back to normal for days. I just can't get those scenes out of my head and I'm happy for it to stay that way lol.
All I can see when I close my eyes is a tangle of 6 people, panting, sweaty and...... It's awesome!
Can't wait to read the next one.

Obviously I knew by looking at this cover that there was going to be some crazy hotness in this book. The general story could be any girls dream. Hot construction crew next door remodeling a house, you've been drooling over not just one but all of them. Turns out while they take breaks they "relieve" the stress from work by having sex, and if there just isn't a woman around, that's not a problem. They can take care of each other.
Then enter Kate. She's a little shy to start but she quickly jumps on that bandwagon. A lot quicker than I would've thought considering the amount of guys she was taking on. Because really, sometimes one isn't enough, and just two can be boring.
I'll admit that at times I was a bit confused as to who's thing was going where (hey, there's too many to keep track of!) but every sex scene was hot! And for such a short story, there was a lot of it!
But then there is also romance. Although she is with the whole crew there was an attraction and connection with Mike. I felt that wasn't developed as much, especially being a short story that can be hard. But I did like Mike. He's very alpha, as most of the guys.
I am looking forward to continuing this series because this crew and their powertools are just HOT!

I’m a big fan of ménage, which is pretty easy to figure out at this point, but I found this book early on when I was still embarrassed about that fact. It was the first book I read that was not only ménage, but had more than two guys and a girl. I was intrigued, and boy was I happy I gave it a shot.
Yes, this book has a lot of sex in it. There’s guys with guys, girl with guy, girl with guys with other guys too, making for a very interesting pool party. The thing about this book though is that while there’s plenty of yummy sex, there’s a message in it. The crew is very open and honest with each other, and unashamed of who they are and what they like. They have an understanding, a respect for each other. My favorite part about all of it was the concept of accepting tastes, respecting boundaries, and exploring fantasies with people you trust.
There’s sex, but there’s emotion, and it’s hard not to get caught up in every facet of the story Jayne tells. Kate’s story caught me from page one, and I was hooked all the way through. I think it was a great quick intro to the crew and was sexy and fun, and has a really good vibe.
Sexy, heartwarming, and fun, Kate’s Crew will introduce you to a work crew who work hard, but play harder. If you enjoy ménage, I doubt you’ll be disappointed with giving this story a read!

There’s sex, but there’s emotion, and it’s hard not to get caught up in every facet of the story Jayne tells. Kate’s story caught me from page one, and I was hooked all the way through. I think it was a great quick intro to the crew and was sexy and fun, and has a really good vibe.
Sexy, heartwarming, and fun, Kate’s Crew will introduce you to a work crew who work hard, but play harder. If you enjoy ménage, I doubt you’ll be disappointed with giving this story a read!

So. Take five open-minded men and one desperately curious woman and watch them catch fire in the best possible way. It's a glorious coming together (sometimes literally, if you know what I mean) of...sorry, I laughed so hard at my stupid aside I lost my train of thought. What? It happens. Quite frequently with me.
Anyway. Sexy times abound. If you like dude on dude on dude on...a couple more dudes with a lady, you'll like this book. GOOD TIMES!

I don’t actually have much to say at all about Kate’s Crew…
Surprisingly, the sex scenes got under way very quickly. And from then on there’s more sex…and more…and..more. You get the picture.
Pertaining to the Sexual scenes in this novel, I didn’t like how Rylon described what was happening. ….How everything was told it felt completely…corny—-but in a bad way.
Honestly, Kate’s Crew is a fast read as this review is. While there is some plot within this book, it’s mostly sex.
I give Kate’s Crew, 2 stars.

Short and fun story. Sexy start to the series.
Update - I just re-read this as the start of the omnibus version of the series. Still some of the wildest menage scenes ever! I want to make a GIF with 5 'M' and 1 'F' all arranged as in the final scene. It just doesn't work in text:

I wanted to like this, but it didn't work for me. I don't mind getting straight to the action, but this was really missing any erotic tension and the description of events was confusing at times. My recommendation is to look at the cover and come up with your own story.

Kate was painting in her place while ogling the guys next door who were working on their place. As she was ogling Mike, her balance tipped on the ladder and she fell all the while Mike was watching. He ran, and jumped to catch her from falling off her roof and the other four guys ran over to congratulate him and see if Kate was alright. She hurt her leg so Mike took her to the hospital and found out that she wasn't hurt more than a few bumps and bruises.
Mike and Kate can't stop their attraction for each other and end up in bed but Kate tells him that she doesn't want a relationship so when he presses her on why she tells him that she wants the other 4 guys on his crew as well. After Mike hears her confession he has a confession himself...they all want her too. After that this story is all about whether or not she'll take them up on their offer to share her for a night ad what happens when she makes her decision. I have to say that I wasn't sure I would like this book but I think the romance and love scenes were done really well. I like the romance between Mike and Kate and how accepting and open minded all the guys are. This turned out to be a better story than I first expected it to be. All the guys are fun, open and good friends with each other which made it fun to watch them have a good time together.

If you're looking for a hot quick read let me tell you a bit about Kate's Crew....
Kate is working on her home, one that she recently inherited, and next door Mike and his crew are working on their latest construction project. There has been an on going attraction between Mike and Kate but she wont go out with him because she has fantasies of the men in his crew as well. Well that was until an unfortunate accident occurs and Kate gets hurt and Mike refuses to leave her side.
This was a HOT quick read, the time between Mike and Kate is not only hot but sweet as well. Sizzling menage scene to fulfill Kate's fantasy comes to fruition and when I say sizzling I mean it was scorching HOT!!!!!

Enh? There's very little here besides the sex, and the unbelievable pool scene was a step too far for me. She was able to stay underwater because one of the guys kept going to the surface, gulping air, then bringing it down for mouth to mouth? It took me out of the scene. Also, can we not give the guys interchangeable four letter names? It made them feel interchangeable, too.
